01x28 - The Wacko World of Sports

Post by bunniefuu »

And now I promise you... The

wacko world of sports is on the air!

Banning at the Acres to bring you... The

thrills of the Bread Iron!

The chills of the ostrich!

The drama of a long-distance runner

hitting the fabled wall!

Greetings, sports fans! I'm here and I'm

here, fast money! Hey, anyone!

You got it!

And welcome to the Wimpy Down Tennis

Tournament! All the greats in the tennis

world are... not here!

In fact, Monty has only invited players

who've never helped tennis track it. So

this should be an interesting bloodbath-

uh, uh, event. Now we kick you to the

side.

Hello, this is Bunny Wawa with

Montana Max, a quote and...

personal. Cut it

out! Show me, Monty. Why have you only

invited deal-y, wild-y, rivy, wild-y?

Very simple, Ms. Wawa. I wanna win!

That explains why the premier tennis

quail in Acme Acres has been wiped out of

this match. You're the wiped out.

Oh ball, boy! Eh,

it's a rivy.

This is the last time I do a cartoon

without reading the script

first. I got the writer in my backpocket.

And now we're all picked for the first

match, Maki versus Sterball.

Maki is now for his trick serve.

is out of the tournament!

No fair!

It's so hard to get good health these

days. Monkey's next opponent is... Uh,

his next opponent is... Very,

very small!

Yes, it's Born!

That's two! One more wimp,

wipe out and run the ship! And Monkey's

spider opponent can succeed!

And the wimps just keep on coming! As

usual, Monkey will be serving. Serving?

Great!I'll have a tuna sandwich on whole

wheat, with a side of coleslaw and a dill

pickle. You got it, poor belly!

Gee, I never knew tennis was so much fun!

Huh

It looks like Monty is winning again.

Captain hasn't returned a single serve.

I'm supposed to return this stuff?Get

serious. It's m*rder. Highway

Rotten Square Orphan. How can we get him

to do this cartoon like that?Hey,

begin that script.

Ah, here it is, our big scene.

And just in time, too. That's Sam,

set, match.

Sheesh! Monty wins the witty dump

trophy. Monty, how are you

feeling right now?First of all, I'd

like to thank myself. I couldn't have

done it without me. Ohh It's Lily

here! Hey! Ladies and gentlemen, it's the

great Swedish tennis player, John Money!

Jorn, what brings you to the Wimpy Dunn

tournament?Well, I just wanted to

challenge the winner. Most Swedish

meatballs challenging me. I already won

the trophy. Yeah, I like, but I won this

bigger trophy. Oh, man! Well,

check out this trophy!

You Americans hate your puny

trophies! Now this is a real

trophy!

Ooh How do I win that?

It's so sparkly!

Tennis anyone?Rabbit! You're

finished! No, I'm Swedish.

See, I know a good sport is orb when they

throw here. Play ball!

You know, kids, tennis is all about

technique. A forehand shot, a

backhand shot, and my personalfavorite...

It's Rock Shack.

Now we go to the tiebreaker! May the best

player win! Not if I can help it.

You know, in tennis, love means zero.

Now let's learn a new tennis term. Can

you say...cheater?Sure, I knew

that you could.

Blue Leader's the wing combined. We have

an unidentified bouncing object at 3

o'clock. Roger it

out. Three, two, one...

Tell me, Yorn, what's the secret of not

to say?Confidentially, I

wasn't yours yesterday.

Welcome back to the Wacko World of

Sports! Now let's take a look at

America's big with our spine. Shopping?

No. Baseball.

Yes, Marie, sports fans.

This is a big one. It's the junior

baseball championship between our

very own Acme Universe company.

Baseball...

Ohh

Fans are waiting for the Empire's

familiar cry...

Here comes the first spatter up to the

plate! And

there's the windup! And what a wizard it

is, folks! Um..

It's got a... front!

And it's just following into the plate

turn!

got it!

He's got it!

Baseball!

Sports fans, the game's really heating up!

They're hitting Rocky

University right out of the park.

Ice cream, peanuts, popcorn. Yes, ice

cream, peanuts, popcorn. Oh,

the vendor, I'll have a nice nice

together with some peanuts.

Hey! Allow me,

Surprise, Datecrashers! That's

the old magnet in the back scare!

Ohh You cheated!

And if not for the unselfish actions of

these three brave heroes, every

university would have gone down to

humiliating defeat.

Well, heroes, any words from your public?

No! No

A simple game, really. You have one

ball, and not 18 horns,

and you keep yelling, Poor, and all

that... Don't touch

me! It's really quite

simple. You've never

played go, have you?No,

but I'll beat the pants off of you when

you're off.

Free admission Roderick, are you mad?

Ruby cakes, they're broke. We've got to

attract them to blood or it could bind to

our own private golf club. Well,

just as long as this new blood is rich, I

refuse to hobnob with slob. Trust me

on this one, babe. Only the Kremlin or

social Kremlin will be admitted. But free?

Is it so little free?Greetings, Gulf

Gourmets! Wow! My parrot

is so deputing! Let's see off,

Baptiboo!

Excuse me, Mr. No Money

Bunny. And his No Money Bunny,

honey. Acme loo losers need not

apply. Wait a minute!

The sign says, We go. Hello, I

saw a dog. How

silly of us! My name's

here!

Is it good or bad when it does that?I

think we're about to find out.

Have a nice day! And work

on that backswing, Badly!

I...stir...no... I needed that. Buster,

there's more than one way to hobnob with

snobs. Oh ohh yeah, it's time to

party, Buster and Bath style!

Well, that's the grandeur. We're the

honor to stay and play around, Mr. and

Mrs. Xander... um.. Bunny.

Xander, bunny. Rhymes with money.

Well, I must say all those little skinny

things are really quiet. Quite

quiet. Quite quaint. Quite cranky quaint,

really. And a quiet, a quite quaint, sort

of a quainted quietWell, so,

how about that three-game?Now, just to

keep it interesting, why don't we make a

tiny wager?I'll get the ball rolling, as

it were. Shall we say, ten thousand?

Ten... Ten thousand dollars?

On the game?

N-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-no. Oh,

silly boy! On this hole!

That's a bet! What?We can

use the money, Roddy. And don't worry,

I know this hole like the back of my

head. Head down, bend the knees,

chest up, knock your slayer, right to the

left shoulder, hips over your head, and

then switching your partner under... you

know, switching his glove and away.

Oops. Sand drat.

Oh. Lost ball is against some penalty,

I'm afraid.

Well, g*ng of Bunny, with that pretty

plot, I'd say I'm poised to prevail.

Oh, sorry old bean. Highland rules, you

know.

or nothing, Rubella. We can't afford to

bogey this one. Whatever you do, don't

bogey this. Oh!

Uh, here's looking at you, kid.

One, two, three, four, five, six, ten,

eighteen! Put it back! 37, 42!

Sold! American! Ha, ha, ha, ha...

Looks like we win another home.

Let's see. At this point, you owe us 47

trillion, 812 bazillion, 94 trillion

dollars, and 12 stations. A gig or take a

trillion. What do we do?If we lose this

last hole, we'll be laughing socks!

Outcast, less than that, we'll be

more awful! Yes, hey, Manda Bunny, we're

just the tiniest bit short of cash at the

moment, so... No problem.

You know, Bunny and I have taken quite a

shine to this place of yours. What say we

put, get the money and just bet the whole

golf course?Very

sporting of you, Manda Bunny. Winner

against the golf course.

Just sign here.

That's the restrokes we do by the kids.

And this next will be Ronnie's second

stroke, I believe.

just seem to spread up like

weeds, don't they?

Though

we will. Ohh

Open to the public. I like the sound of

that. Even if it is kind of crowded. There

was just something missing before. Yeah,

I know what you mean. Something like...
