through this area

where to go look for it.

a very unusual structure

in the woods.

Looks like a classic
tree structure.

things started to simmer...

the missing piece

that we need to solve
this mystery.

was getting hotter...

for something large
that wants to retreat.

what you think about Bigfoot,

but they are real.

The government knows
about them,

and they're in this area."

We're going to
Washington State.

[Bryce] We may have come
very close in Kentucky,

but we need to go
where the data leads us.

And now,
our algorithm has taken us

to the Bigfoot capital
of the world,

Washington State.

There are more
Bigfoot sightings here

than anywhere in the world.

But unlike
our last two locations,

our target zone
is beyond massive.

Our algorithm honed in
on a giant swath of land.

Over 250,000 acres

of the Olympic Peninsula
in western Washington.

It's an incredible way
to start

an expedition in Washington.

Getting a bird's eye view
from up here

is a complete
tactical advantage.

It's not just our algorithm

that's brought us here.

[man] I was gonna give you
a little info

that might help you.

[Bryce]
Before leaving Kentucky,

a former captain
in the Air Force

told me that
not only do Bigfoot exist

in these forests,

but that the government
is aware of them.

And if that's true,

how has the government
kept these creatures

hidden all these years?

But more important, why?

What benefit
does a government get out

of denying these
creatures exist?

If we're gonna find Bigfoot,

this is the place
we're gonna do it.

This is the way
to get it done.

[narrator]
The Olympic Peninsula

is one of the most
unique places in the world.

The 5,000 square mile
mountain range

is home to one of the only

non-tropical rainforests
in existence.

With an average rainfall
of about 170 inches a year,

it is the wettest region

in the contiguous
United States.

[Bryce] This yearly deluge

produces an endless
number of waterways

that wind through
these mountains.

And in these rivers and creeks

are an enormous amount
of Bigfoot sightings.

Over half the sightings
in our database

occur within a hundred yards

of a water source.

So we'll be focusing
all our efforts

in these waterways.

Russell will be
staying up high,

moving along these ridges

and surveilling the rivers

from an elevated
vantage point.

There's gonna be
a lot to see here.

[Bryce] Ronny and Mireya
will be tracking the waters

at ground level,

hopefully putting themselves
directly in the path

of any Bigfoot nearby.

[Ronny] Definitely
interesting terrain, huh?

Eight miles from the edge

of their target zone,
Ronny and Mireya

are traveling south
on the Hood Canal,

the 68-mile-long body of water

that borders the eastern side

of the Olympic Peninsula.

-[Mireya speaking]
-Yep.

[narrator] These waterways
will provide the team

passage into the dense,

untouched wilderness
of their target zone.

[Mireya]
Kentucky was much more
a tropical rainforest,

where here in the peninsula,
it's a temperate rainforest,

and it's really different

because you have miles
and miles of coastline.

And the peninsula itself
is cut off,

almost like an island,

so you're gonna have
species here

that you're not gonna
find anywhere else.

[Ronny]
This is the right place

for something
like Sasquatch to live.

The likely reason why Bigfoot

are spotted in rivers

is it's not only
a water source,

it's a major food source.

It's chock-full of salmon.

[narrator] Every year,
tens of thousands of salmon

swim up the many rivers
on the peninsula to spawn.

These fish are a favorite food

of black bears and cougar.

Each river on the peninsula

has a different and specific
spawning period.

Researchers believe
this could be the reason

Bigfoot move
around the region.

[Ronny] There's a lot
of Bigfoot stories

dealing with water.

People have seen them
here swimming.

One lady in particular
was swimming in a lake

and had this hairy hand
come up from the water,

grab her knee,
and start to pull her down.

And the sightings
are continuing to this day.

They are happening
almost on a monthly basis.

I know something
is in these woods.

[Bryce] This is incredible.

A lot of our target zone
is active logging territory,

so the landscape
is constantly changing.

That's why it's so important

that I get an accurate
and up-to-date look

at the area.
So I'll be searching

not only for signs of Bigfoot,

but targets and land features

that help the team
on the ground.

Right down there,
that small clearing,

that's a perfect spot
for a base camp.

Mireya, Ronny, come in.

[Mireya] Hey, Bryce,
what's going on?

[Bryce] So from up here,
I managed to plot

a perfect place
to set up our basecamp,

where we'll have access
to these rivers and creeks,

to roads where I can get
evidence out.

[Mireya] Great.

Send us those coordinates.

-[John] Yep.

How far down do you think
that flow goes?

[John speaking]

Is it possible for us
to get in there?

[John] I can't get in there
with this boat,

so we're gonna have to
take the skiff.

I think we should go
and explore that.

This is a vast expansion

of just amazing mountains,
trees.

There's a lot of activity
in these mountains.

[narrator]
Twelve miles to the west,

survivalist Russell Acord
is approaching

the target zone
through the mountains

on the northern side.

[Russell] Looks like
we're just about
out of road up here.

Well, I wonder
how far it goes.

These mountains
are much higher,

steeper, and more jagged

than anything
we saw in Kentucky.

The highest peak we saw
was around 3,000 feet.

We're looking at almost
double that here.

So it won't be easy.
Like I've always said,

Bigfoot will be

where humans don't want to go.

And if he's here,

we're gonna find him
in these mountains.

-You hear that?
-[helicopter blades whirring]

Helicopter.

I can actually see Russell
right now in his truck.

Right now,
I'm just looking for a target

he can start moving towards.

Wow. Look at this.

We've got a big problem,

a dried-up river
with no water flowing.

[narrator] While there are
still hundreds

of waterways
in their target zone,

there are far fewer
than a normal year.

Record-low snowfall
the previous winter

has caused some rivers
to run dry.

[Bryce] With fewer
waterways available

in these mountains,

the rivers
that are still running

are far more valuable to us.

Prey animals
that Bigfoot feed on

and Bigfoot themselves

have fewer options
to get water.

So finding a waterway
at these altitudes

is more likely to have
some activity.

This here looks like
the largest water source

in this part
of the target zone.

-[radio beeps]
-[Bryce] Russell, come in.

-[Russell] Go ahead, Bryce.
-[Bryce] It looks like

there's an active
water source in your sector.

I can see a peak nearby
that could give you

a great vantage
point of the area.

I'm sending you
the coordinates right now.

So today, my objective,

we're gonna try
to get to the peak

that Bryce had pointed out
for us.

If any wildlife
came through here,

we know they're headed
for the water,

and that gives me
a big advantage.

will travel five miles

to the ridge
above the water source,

where he can scout
for any activity.

[Russell] Just want to
get past this stuff.

Boy, this really opens up
out here.

That water source
is just below us.

Looks like the higher we get,

the more of that hillside
I can see,

which would be great
for thermal imaging.

Hey, man, look at that.

If you're a predator waiting
for the unsuspecting deer

or the unsuspecting
food source to come by,

you can get up here.

You'll see or be able to hear

where it comes
from any direction

and actually scan
this whole area

as a predator would.

[Bryce] Hey, Brandon,
what's beyond

that ridge pass there?

Do you think
we can head that way?

[Brandon] With the way
the clouds are laying

and the way
the wind's come in,

I don't really
feel comfortable

going in that way.
It can get really bad.

[Bryce] Gotcha.

We've seen about 80%
of our target zone,

but the sun is setting fast.

I've already plotted
some areas of interest,

so I think we should
head back.

Whatever is behind that ridge,

we'll just have to
explore by foot.

Just looks really thick.
I don't see

any kind of good opening
for us to start trekking.

[narrator] Now three miles
into their target zone,

Ronny and Mireya
are traveling west

on a small river

that is rapidly
growing shallower

as they move inland.

They're searching
for a shoreline to dock

and begin the trek
to the location

Bryce has chosen
for their base camp.

[Ronny] This is a lot more
difficult than I thought.

[Mireya] Yeah, moving around
on land at night is hard,

but moving around
on water at night

is a lot harder.

What about this?
I mean, what do you think?

-This looks like
good solid land here.
-Yeah.

Good forest behind it

and enough space
for something large

-to get through.
-Yeah. I do like this.

Yeah. Let's check it out.

With Bryce being in the air,

he was able to give us an idea

of where our base camp
should be.

But there's so much area

that we need to cover
and check out,

so as we're making our way
to those coordinates,

we're looking for any type
of footprints or sign

that might be promising
along the way.

Does it look like
something's been

This is all matted down.

it's had something
move through it.

[Ronny] Like perhaps we're
in something's territory?

[Mireya] It's matted down

There are definitely signs
of something

that moved in this direction.

This matted-down vegetation

was made by something big,

and it's going right
in this direction.

All of a sudden, we hear this

incredibly strange noise

coming from a close distance,

and then
it just completely cut off.

[Ronny]
Yeah, when that came on,

it sounded like a police siren

coming from within
the forest in front of us.

[Mireya] The fact that
it sounded like a siren

except it was clearly
an animal

and unlike anything
I'd ever heard before,

-it was shocking.
-[Ronny] I'd like to see

where the heck
that sound just came from.

[Mireya] Follow me.
Here's a game trail

that leads in the direction
of where it came from.

It was loud,
but it seemed like

-the sound was traveling...
-[Ronny] Yeah.

I don't think I've ever heard
that sound before.

[Mireya]
I have no idea what that was.

[Ronny]
Right now, I'm thinking that

maybe that sound we heard,
it's a warning

alerting other Bigfoot
to our presence,

or maybe it was a warning
for us to stay out.

All right,
let's keep searching

for any signs of what
could have made that sound.

Maybe we can figure out
what that was.

[Bryce] So I just landed
after using the helicopter

to scout the target zone.

But right now,
I'm on my way to speak with

not just an eyewitness,

but the police officer who saw

what he could describe
as a Bigfoot-like creature

cross the road
in the middle of the night

right in front of him.
I'm curious,

just what in the hell
did this guy see?

It's come to my attention
that some people believe

that the authorities
here in Washington

may actually be aware
of Bigfoot.

[man] I don't know
what you think about Bigfoot,

but they are real,

the government knows
about them,

and they're in this area.

-They're in the area?
-[man] Absolutely.

[Bryce] While the man
I'm about to interview

isn't in the military,
he's an authority,

and maybe he knows
something about it.

So, as we discussed,
you were in law enforcement,

and you had
an encounter with a Bigfoot

almost a decade ago,
is that right?

More than that.
Two decades ago.

-[Bryce] Wow.
-July of 2000.

Can you tell me
a little bit about that?

Yeah. I was coming
down this road,

and I was on graveyard shift.

The road happened
to be clear at this moment

when I'm coming down
in my patrol car,

and on the left side,

this figure steps onto
the roadway.

I stopped my car
about 50 yards from it.

I mean, the chest was massive,

the thickness of it.
It was covered in hair.

Eight feet tall,

around 800 to 1,000 pounds,

and it was terrifying.

Did it stop
in the road, too, or...

No, it didn't stop.
It came out,

profile to me,
never looked at me.

[Bryce] Did you see
the face or...

No, it was profile to me
so no face detail at all.

It took four steps,

hit the fence line on
the other side of the road,

and disappeared,
and that was it.

[Bryce] Were you running
a dashboard camera

-or anything?
-No, no, no,

we didn't have stuff
like that in those days.

[Bryce] What was
your initial reaction?

At first, it's shock
and frightened, you know.

I really...
It's just I didn't know
what I was dealing with.

I know it's a Sasquatch,

but there's more to it
than meets the eye

even when you see it.

Do you think these things
are dangerous, or...

[Rich] I could tell you

that it changed my behavior
dramatically.

-How so?
-Psychologically,
it spooked me.

I didn't like to go places
alone for quite some time.

It took me years before

I was able to really start

enjoying myself again
like that.

Something was being put in me

and forcing me
to feel a way that

was abnormal and unnatural.

This emptiness,
like, this black hole.

So you're feeling
an un-normal dread?

Yeah, feeling a dread.

If it wanted to do something
to somebody,

there's nothing
anybody could do about it.

It could just sneak up
behind you

and just grab you like that,
and you'd be done.

Yeah.

I've heard
specific reports of people

in high government
or military positions

having knowledge of Bigfoot.

Do you know
anything about that?

I don't... I don't know...

And I actually wrote a memo
to the sheriff's office,

categorized just
as unknown phenomenon.

Yeah, it was all documented.

[Bryce]
Do you think that it goes up

further the chain
of command, or...

I don't know
whatever happened to that.

After you had that
first encounter,

you started researching more
into the subject.

What kind of things
did you come across?

When I first came into
this thing,

I was looking at it

as a law enforcement
investigator.

And then I was finding
so much evidence,

it was real apparent to me
that there was a lot

more of these things around.

What type of
sort of topography

or geographical markers
should we be looking for?

Well, there's a lot
of major drainages.

They create natural pathways.

A drainage?
You mean like a hollow

where the water comes off
the mountain?

It's easier walking.
It has less gradient.

These things have been using
them for thousands of years

to get from point A
to point B.

In an area of Mason County,

there was so much density
of sightings,

and it certainly
wasn't the same Bigfoot

-popping up
all over the county.
-Yeah.

There seems to be, generally,

I think, groups
of three to five.

So, Rich,
when you say groupings,

are you referring to, like,
a family of Bigfoot?

-Yeah, family groupings.
-Yeah.

There seems to be groups

going up
most in every drainage area.

[Bryce]
This is pretty significant.

Families of Bigfoot

moving in social groups
like primates.

This is tremendous.

The theory
of multiple Bigfoots

traveling together
lines up perfectly

with the evidence
we collected in Kentucky.

Howls coming
from multiple locations

and the witness who found
what she believed to be

a small print
found within a larger print.

There was another footprint
inside of that footprint.

-[Bryce] Oh, wow.
-[woman] Maybe there was

-something stepping
inside the tracks.
-Yeah.

If you ever notice deer,
the fawns

-stay really close to mom.
-Mm.

And I was like,
could this be baby

that are following
their mother?

[Bryce] If the Bigfoot here
move in family units,

then the team needs to be
on the lookout

for a greater range
of evidence.

For example, juveniles
have smaller footprints

and are commonly mistaken
for human.

We'll have to be diligent
out there.

I hear so often
that people will witness

these things crossing the road

just as you experienced.

Makes me think I need
to pay special attention

to the roadways
in our target zone.

Maybe we could get lucky.

-Possibly, yeah.
-Yeah.

[Russell] It's quiet and dark
and very, very calm here.

I'm about a thousand feet
above that water source.

This is our night we have
the element of surprise.

Hopefully
we'll get some action.

is on top of a ridgeline

overlooking a small river
that he believes

is a prime target
to spot Bigfoot.

Right now,
I'm just looking for anything
that puts out the heat trace.

And when I see something
that has a red signature,

it means that it's
holding heat,

and one of the prime
examples of that

as I'm on this hillside,

you can tell
that there's rocks

on that hillside over there
because the rocks have held

the heat through daytime.

The only other thing...

that's gonna show
that kind of color

would be a hot-blooded animal.

There's something down there.

I see something down
on the far side

of the valley
that's very interesting.

Aha. There it is. It's moving.

I need to put this thing
on the tripod

so I can stabilize it.

I'm gonna zoom in
on that a little bit.

It's not moving anymore.

[narrator] On a ridge
above a small river,

Russell has spotted
what he believes

may be a humanoid-like figure
on the mountainside

directly opposite
his position.

[Russell] I need to go
to that same point in person

and see if there's any
secondary evidence to tell me,

was it a deer, was it an elk,
was it a bear,

or did we see Bigfoot?

So we'll look in that
clearing over there tomorrow.

[Bryce] Bigfoot, we believe,
is an omnivore.

And we like to consider
all available food sources

to help us narrow our search.

We've actually identified
the locations

of different food sources
like deer and wild berries

using local intel

as well as something
way more high-tech,

satellite imagery.

[narrator] For decades,
NASA has been collecting

imagery of the Earth.

Using highly sophisticated
satellite technology,

they capture detailed images
in the visible spectrum,

as well as infrared

and thermal
infrared spectrums.

In 2009, the government
released the images

to the public,
and many scientists

now use the data
for a wide variety

of world-changing studies.

Archaeologists have discovered

over 1,000 tombs

and 17 pyramids in Egypt.

The data has also been used

to track climate change
and deforestation.

Here in Washington,
scientists have begun

to use the data
to precisely track

the growth
of fruit-bearing plants.

These forests are filled
with wild berries,

and when these berries ripen,

like all fruit,
they change color.

Now, these satellite cameras
are so extremely sensitive

that they can actually detect
that color shift.

So essentially, from space,

we can tell when and where
food is available.

Now,

we've inputted
all this collected data

into our GPS tracking maps,

and we now know where Bigfoot
is most likely to be feeding,

which is incredible,
because now,

we have these feeding hotspots

inside of our target zone.

[eagle screeches]

[Russell] Want to have a quick
look over on this hillside

over here, that thermal
we got last night.

It appeared to be
something standing upright

and putting out a heat trace.

Best guess so far,
judging by these rocks,

it would have been a rock,
because it stayed still.

But like humans.
We can stand in one position
for quite some time, so...

I'll get that sorted out
right now.

to the spot where he believes
he saw a figure

standing on a forest hillside
late last night.

[Russell] So judging
by where I was getting

that hot signal last night,

there's no rock formations
over there.

I'm looking at the same logs
and the same structures

that I was last night.

There's nothing
that would indicate a rock

that would have held
that type of heat.

Hey, Russell,
what's going on, man?

Hey, Bryce, I got something

on the thermals last night
that I need to show you.

I just sent it, so you should
get it any second now.

This thing,
I thought it was actually

heat coming off the rocks,

and I just came over here
and confirmed,

there's no rocks over here.

Whatever it was, it put out...

a really hot trace.

It was humanlike in structure

and put out
a tremendous amount of heat.

just stood there

for the longest time.

It was like it was looking
down over the valley,

maybe hunting deer
or something,

but it did not move.

It was just
the strangest thing,

the way it just stood there.

There's a berry patch

about a mile and a half
down from where you are.

I think you should descend
down there

and check it out.

It's huge.

It's definitely
a point of interest.

Absolutely. Will do.

[Ronny] Kind of feel like
I'm in Jurassic Park

with all these ferns
and everything.

[narrator] While on their way
to the base camp location,

Ronny and Mireya
are exploring a small creek

that runs parallel
to the river

they were traveling along.

[Mireya] I would have loved
to have gotten

a recording of that sound.

[Ronny] I know.

[Mireya] What the [bleep]
was that?

Let's try and follow the creek
a little bit.

[Ronny] Sounds good.

[Mireya]
While we're searching,

we can't just take
a direct path.

We try to follow the river
as much as we can,

but there are times
where it's just impenetrable

and we can't get past
and we have to go back

into the forest
and make our way around.

And that is how
a lot of the animals here

actually move.

So we are very much mimicking

the way that animals move
in this area,

which is to follow that path
of the river

for as far as you can,

but then head back
into the forest.

[Ronny] Definitely got
a little game trail
right here.

Definitely deer
because those things

just look like stick holes.

[Mireya] Yeah, I mean,
you can see it,

-making their way
up and down this path.
-Yeah.

[Mireya] All right, Ronny,
why don't you follow

that game trail
and look for more tracks

away from the creek.

I'm gonna follow
the creek closer

and see what's here.

Some of these ferns
are neck high.

All right.

Food is everywhere.

Ronny, that was [bleep] weird.

Something just moved past me
in front of me this way.

[Ronny] Whoa.

So, what it sounded like,

something big
was walking down this path,

and it almost started to sound

as if it was walking down
in front of me

while you were over there.

-[Ronny] Did you see anything?
-All I saw was movement

and a sound
that sounded human-size

coming this way.

[Ronny] And the movement
stopped though,

-the sound stopped?
-And the movement stopped.

So it's still right here.

This is not gonna end well.

[Ronny] If it was
a normal animal,

we would hear that thing
just taking off, deer...

Deer would have
either scampered off

or we'd see it.

There's something out there.

[Ronny] The brush around us
is so dense

that something very large

could be only a few feet away

and be totally hidden from us.

And now we have that feeling
that we have eyes on us.

There's something more
than just animals

living in here.

Bigfoot's here, too.

This is just kind of,
like, a sign of respect

just to let them know that,

hey, we're here,
we're coming in.

It's almost like
knocking on the door.

Let's see
if we get a response.

[Mireya] While I wouldn't
bang two rocks together

on one
of my gorilla expeditions,

we often do make sounds
in order to evoke a response.

In Kentucky, Ronny and I heard

what sounded like
a tree knock,

and Ronny attributes that
to Bigfoot activity.

Ronny, do you recognize
that sound?

[Ronny] We just
got a tree knock.

So it's possible
that could work.

[rocks clacking]

Shh. Listen. Listen.

There is something out there.

Ronny, that sound now
was coming from that way.

-So, would it...
-So it's moving.

Whatever animal,
whatever I heard

that was just here,

is now way back there.

-Whatever it is is still
either hunkered down or...
-I mean, look.

If there's one thing
that animals are good at,

-it's hiding.

many times

looking for species

that have been thought
to be extinct.

This is like a playground,

a hiding place for an animal
that doesn't want to be found.

Because we're getting
so much wildlife evidence

and sounds
and activity here...

somewhere near this creek

-and then survey
this area at night...
-Okay.

...and see if we can
find anything.

All senses on high alert.

Looks like an old vehicle.

Abandoned.

And it's been here
a while, too.

is on an abandoned
logging road

on his way to a massive patch
of wild berries.

The patch is in the valley,
just below where he spotted

what appeared to be
a large figure

on the side of a mountain.

[Russell] Bigfoot,
like bears, are opportunists.

They'll eat anything
that they can get.

Late summer right now,

berries are blooming
everywhere.

And what I'm really

A lot of testimonies
from people say

that huckleberries
are their favorite.

Native American legends
state the same thing.

So if we see huckleberries
in large concentrations,

we know
we're on the right track.

Look at this.

Something has actually
brushed up against this.

That is interesting though.

You know how an animal
will get against it?

You know, all the different
strands of hair?

This looks like something
a little bit more solid
than that.

It's not a finding
that we can say definitively

what it was.

It didn't look like fur.

Fur wouldn't leave
the sweeping motion

like a paintbrush would.

This actually looked like
skin contact

or something more solid
than that.

Oh, look. Here
the other half of it sits.

If you look down this road,
this is an old,

old logging road,
hasn't been used.

There's trees growing up
into it,

but there's no tracks,
no nothing.

This thing's been sitting
here for quite some time.

It seems like a lot
of the stories you hear

around Bigfoot,

a lot of the natives would say

that Bigfoot is the protector
of the forest,

the protector of nature,

and this isn't how
this is supposed to look.

it's supposed to look.

If someone dropped this
in my front yard,

I wouldn't be too happy
about it either.

There's a game trail that runs
off here to the right.

Looks like a pretty well used
game trail.

I'm gonna head out this way.

Gonna keep marching forward.

I've still got a few hours
before I get there.

I'm gonna head down
to that wooded area

to see if I can find
any evidence

of what was moving down there.

What I saw
was standing upright.

So whether it was a human
or a Bigfoot,

I'm gonna find that evidence,

but it's gonna be a long walk.

[Bryce] After speaking with
the former police officer

about the Bigfoot crossing
that he saw,

I started to research
other similar incidents.

Turns out
it's a pretty common way

to see Bigfoot in this area.

I mean, I must have
found about a hundred
different reports

in the Olympic
Peninsula alone.

So then I started to look
for highways

that were similar
to where Rich Germeau

saw that Bigfoot
crossing the road.

And I found one
inside of our target zone.

It's in the east sector.
It runs north and south

right along the shoreline
of Hood Canal.

Now, if Bigfoot are crossing
these roads

as much as I think they are,

then this is my chance
to spot one.

And I'm not gonna miss it.

This car is equipped
with eight cameras,

four infrared, facing front,
back, and side to side



It's basically a mobile
surveillance unit.

So right now, I'm driving
the exact kind of roads

that are perfect to capture
a Bigfoot crossing.

We're surrounded by dense
forest on both sides.

There's no cars on the road.
It's the middle of the night.

Even if I don't see something
crossing the road,

one of these cameras
will pick it up,

and I'll be able
to take it back

to the command center later on

and analyze the footage.

So if anything
crosses the road,

we're gonna get it on camera.

Mireya experienced
in the creek bed,

the team has decided
to make a temporary camp

in this location
and explore its surroundings.

exploring the ridge,

directly above where Mireya's
strange experience occurred.

[Ronny] When you're in nature,

you kind of get back
to the primal instinct.

I learn to listen to my gut,

where you're following
that energy

where you're gonna go.

Getting an uneasy feeling now.

-[Mireya] What do you mean?
-I don't know.

It's like this...

anxious feeling.

You start to feel like
something's watching you,

but I'm getting this...

uneasiness.

But then there's this energy
in the air.

It's almost like
there's electricity.

The hair on the back
of your neck goes up

or on your arms.

But I'm feeling it
over in this direction.

[Mireya] So where I heard
the sound

-is over in that direction.
-Yeah.

[Mireya] And you're having
a feeling that it's coming

-from over there?
-This way, yeah.

[Mireya] Let's follow
your feeling.

Yeah, I just want
to follow my gut.

to abandon our plan
to go to this other area

if he really hadn't been
feeling something.

And while science
is not founded on feelings,

I do think that it's really
important as a scientist

that you follow
your instincts.

picking up intensity.

[Mireya] It's taking us right
through a logging road.

[Ronny] Yeah, logging has
a big history with Bigfoot.

Whenever they come in
to start logging their land,

they get pissed off.

It's, like, overwhelming.

Feel, like, a pull
in this direction.

they're known to do

instinct a chance.

The understory here
is really spongy,

but because of its depth

and the fact that he had this,
you know, feeling

pulling us in this direction,

I think it's worth checking
out in the morning.

This just feels like the night

that we may capture something
on video,

which would
just be incredible.

Bryce has been scanning

the two-lane highway,

where he believes he's likely
to spot a Bigfoot.

I mean, I don't think anybody
has ever done this before.

I mean, we have
high-tech cameras

armed with infrared,
night vision,

and I've even got the thermal,

in the hopes
of capturing something

crossing the road

either in front or behind.

And being able to document
these creatures

as part of our expedition,

I mean,
it's like really trying

to capture lightning
in a bottle.
