This one's called
Sing-Bad the Sailor.

Long ago on the farthest edge
of the Never Sea

there once lived
a young sailor named Sing-Bad.

He was a great hero! Sing-Bad
was famous for being strong.

What? Now, who left
this in the way?

[Sharky] Ooh!

He's my hero!

He's my hero too!

[Pip] Sing-Bad was also
famous for...

[Pip] Well, singing badly!

♪ He's a sailor
brave enough to be a king ♪

[Pip] Now one day,
Sing-Bad was in the desert
searching for treasure

with his best friends,
Jakeel and Izmar.

They were hot,
tired and very lost.

Hey! Where's the City of Gold?
It's supposed to be right here!

I had a feeling
that map was fake.

Oh, well. It was worth
a try. But it is hot.
Who brought the water?

Jakeel traded away our water
bottles for that map.

Not to worry.

Being a famous hero,

I always find a way
out of any problem.

Like over there. An oasis!
I bet it has water!

[Pip] And so Sing-Bad
and his friends

refreshed themselves
in the cool waters
of the oasis.

[all laughing]

Ah! I feel so good,
it makes me want to sing!

[both gasping]

Please, Sing-Bad. Not now!

Yeah! It's a long trip home,
we really should be going.

You know, it's almost like
you don't want me to sing.

[Hook]
Who dares go there?

Trespassers!
Interlopers! Thieves!

[gasps]
It's a ghost!

No! It's some kind of magic!

You have trod upon
the private oasis

of Hookhafa the great
and mighty wizard!

This is my place and you have
entered without my permission!

We're sorry!
We didn't know that...

No excuses! You shall be
punished! Skully-Mungous!

[squawking]

Hot falafels!

[Hook]
Seize those trespassers!

[squawks]

- [Jake] Whoa! Watch it!
- [Izzy] Huh?

Take those pests to my lair
and see that they don't escape!

I hear and obey,
oh great wizard!

You old sneaky snook!

[Cubby] Let us go,
you big feather duster!

I wish I could.
But a magic spell was put on me
and I must do as I am told.

Those puny trespassers
will regret the day

they crossed paths
with the powerful Hookhafa!

[brays]

[knocking on door]

[Skully] Your prisoners,
oh sneaky one.

Send them in!

[all] Whoa! Oof!

You are my prisoners,
puny pests!

Hookhafa! You have no right
to keep us here! We're innocent!

That's what they all say!

Now the punishment for entering
my oasis without permission

is to be turned into camels!

[laughs]

Yeah, right!

[giggles] No way!

You doubt my power?

Well, Mr. Camel here
was once as human as you!

[brays]

[all gasp]

[Pip]
Alas, the evil wizard

was telling the truth.

He turned to a magical cabinet

that could only be opened
by singing a special tune!

♪ Cabinet latches locky kazam ♪

♪ Clickity clackity here I am ♪

♪ Open as quick
as you clickity can ♪

♪ Unlockity lock
by my command ♪♪

This magic orange powder will
turn you pests into camels!

Then what's the blue powder for?

Oh that!

The blue powder could turn you
back into humans,

but we won't be needing that!

Look out!

[giggles] Hey, stop that!

It tickles! [chuckle]

[as camels] Huh?

Still don't believe
my power, boy?

Blast! Am I out
of orange powder already?

Give me that blue powder!

I'm going to change
my friends back!

No you don't!

Your friends
will remain as they are,

and you will join them!

Mr. Camel, the cage,
if you please.

[brays]

Aw, couscous! No fair!

Quiet!

I'll be back as soon
as I make more orange powder!

That wizard thinks he's clever,

but he doesn't know
how strong I am!

[grunts]

A cage has not been built
that can hold Sing-Bad!

Now to get
the blue powder!

[grunts]

Whew! This is powerful magic!

It defies even
my great strength!

Now, how did
the wizard get it open?

[bray-sings scales]

That's right! He sang to it!

So, if I sing, it should open!

[both] Uh-oh!

[Pip] Jakeel and Izmar
had good reason to worry.

For remember, Sing-Bad
was famous for singing bad!

Why didn't it open?

[brays]

Are you saying that I sing bad?

so bad maybe I won't.

[brays]

Don't give me
those sad camel eyes.

but what if I can't do it?

[Pip] Jakeel and Izmar
were shocked!

For they had never known
the great Sing-Bad to be
unsure of himself.

So, they did their best
to encourage him.

[brays]

[bray braying]

Oh, OK. I'll try!

[Pip] Now Sing-Bad knew his
friends were in big trouble!

And when it comes time to help
others, we are all capable
of extraordinary things!

for my friends!

[in tune]

time, Sing-Bad sang... good!

[gasps]

Sing-Bad has escaped!

[brays]

Sorry, Hookhafa.
I could turn you back,

but I think we should
teach you a lesson.

[brays]

[laughs]

some brave young adventurers

would come and rescue me!

it's what heroes do!

Well, Hookhafa, I guess
you'll just have to be a camel

for a little while longer.

[Pip]
Hookhafa remained a camel

and he toured the countryside
performing tricks.

You see, though he was
an evil wizard,

he was a very good camel!

Whoa! That Sing-Bad
was quite a guy!

Your story was wonderful, Pip!

Nobody can tell a tale
like a pirate genie!

Sorry, I got hungry.

All this cr*cker grabbing
and hungry munching

reminds me of another story:

Skully-Baba and
the Treasure Thieves.

Long ago,
in a land far, far away

on the edge
of a distant sea,

lived a family
of young friends,

Jake-har, Izmeen and Cubdula.

They were very poor
and always hungry.

What little they had to
eat they fished from the sea.

I sure hope we catch
a big fish today!

Or two big fish! I'm so hungry
I want one all for myself!

Never fear, Cubdula! Today's
our lucky day! I just know it!

[Pip] Skully-Baba
was their pet parrot.

He may have been a little
fella, but he was always
a big help.

OK, Jake-har! Cast that net!

Throw it far out there
just like I taught you!

[grunts]

Now let's haul it in together!
Heave! Heave!

Aw, pistachios!
It's just a bunch of boots!

I guess there won't be
much for supper tonight.

Unless you like eating
shoelaces! [chuckles]

Things will get better.

Tomorrow, we'll bring in our
biggest catch ever! You'll see!

[Pip] But, in his heart,
Skully-Baba wasn't so sure.

He wished that there were
some way he could
help his friends,

but what could he do?
He was just a little bird.

The next morning,
Skully-Baba went out
to gather twigs for firewood.

But after picking just a few...

[horse galloping]

Whoa, me proud beauty!

You heard the sahib, whoa!

[exhale]

Falafels!
Those guys are the Four Thieves!

They're bad news!

[Pip] Skully-Baba was right!

The Four Thieves
were known

for stealing
from the rich and the poor!

And the sneakiest snook of them
all was their leader, Hook-Far!

Time to stash our loot
and treasure where it will
be safe and sound!

Open sesame!

Blast and Baklava!
Open says me!

That's more like it!

Crackers! A secret treasure cave
with a magic entrance!

Make haste!

There's still time for us
to steal even more!

Away my scoundrels!

Coming, Sahib!

Hmm. How much loot could those
crooked crooks be hiding?

I wonder if I could
open the cave?

Blast and baklava! Open says me!

Crackers! Look at it all!

Gold coins! Pearls! Jewels!

Just one of them could buy
so much food for my friends!

Hmm... Those thieves would never
miss it if I took a little.

For shame!

Just because all
of this is stolen

doesn't mean
it's right for me to take it.

But my friends are so hungry!

Oh, what should I do?

I'll just take one little pearl!

We'll have lots of food now!
And crackers!

[Pip]
When Skully-Baba got home,

he didn't want his friends
to know the risks he took

entering the cave
of the thieves!

Oh, I'm so hungry I could eat
a whole school of fish!

On a bed of rice
with pita bread!

And shish-kabobs for desert!

[Pip] So Skully-Baba
cleverly hid the pearl

where he knew
it would be found.

Jake-har! Cubdula!

Look what Skully-Baba
and I found in this old boot!

It's a pearl!

It must be worth a lot!

[chuckles] We sure are lucky
to find a pearl in an old boot.

Let's go to the marketplace
and trade it for food.

Skully-Baba's right!
Let's go eat!

[Pip] And that night,
the young friends

enjoyed their first good meal
in a long, long time.

- Mmm...
- Ah, so good!

[Pip] Now while Skully-Baba
felt bad about fibbing
to his friends,

seeing them so happy
made him happy, too.

But the food they bought
didn't last long.

And when the fishing
didn't get better,

his friends
went hungry once again.

So, Skully-Baba
returned to the treasure cave.

I'll just take
one more tiny bit.

And this is the last time.

[Hook] What's this?

Someone's trying to steal
my stolen treasure!

It's the thieves!
I've got to hide!

Search every inch of this place!

[Smee] Ahoy? Mr. Thief?

Come on out, wherever ye be!

Anybody in here?
Oh, so dusty.

[sneezes]

Gesundheit!

Me? No. Whoops!

[screams]

Oi! There's your thief!

Grab him!
Don't let him get away!

[all shouting]

[yelling]

[Hook] You blundering buffoons!

Quickly!
We can't let him get away!

That blasted bird
knows too much!

Heave! Heave!

[all grunt]

More seaweed!

Help!

Skully-Baba! What's wrong?!

Help me!
[panting]

The Four Thieves
are after me!

Those awful men!
Why are they chasing you?

I found out where they
keep their stolen loot!

That's where the pearl
in the boot really came from!

You stole it?

[sighs]

Yes! I knew it was wrong

but we were all so hungry.

That still doesn't
make it right.

I know. I know!
I've learned my lesson!

But the thieves found out
what I did and they'll
be here any minute!

Hmm... I've got an idea!

We can try to catch those crooks
the same way we catch fish!

[Hook] Whoa!

[horse whinnies]

[grunts]

[pants] Oi! Next thing
we steal is more horses!

Quiet! I saw that bird
fly this way.

He has to be
around here somewhere!

Hey you! Big bad thieves!

I know all about
your cave of loot

and I'm gonna
tell everybody!

After him, men!

Oh dear! Now where'd he go?

Don't let him get away!

Looking for me?

You're trapped, foul parrot!

You've nowhere to go
but with us!

I've nowhere to go, but up!

[all exclaiming]

Now pull in your catch!

[all] Heave!

[groaning]

Wait'll I get free!
You will be sorry!

But you can't get free!

You're gonna be
locked up in a place

where you'll have
a nice long time-out!

I told you we'd bring in our
biggest catch ever! Whoo-hoo!

[Pip] It was indeed
their biggest catch ever!

You see, after they returned
all the stolen treasure,

Skully-Baba and his friends
were given a reward

of gold dinars for
capturing the Four Thieves!

And the young friends
never went hungry again.

It made Skully-Baba very happy.

And from that day on,
he was as honest as
a little parrot could be,

surrounded by
his grateful friends.

And crackers!
Lots of crackers!

What an awesome story!

You couldn't wish
for a better one.
