Emily knows I'm inexperienced.

I definitely got to make
a good impression

So she wants to keep me around,
at least, uh, long enough

For me to get a couple ounces
in my pocket.

this is the, uh, little dragon.

It's the prototype.

It can do everything that
the big dragon can do,

But slower.

Slow gold is better than
no gold.

For his missing
submersible dredge the dragon,

Glen has finally given up

And had the prototype
of his invention shipped

From his home state
of washington.

Glen: built the first dragon
in 2007,

And the whole dragon concept

Is basically so you can dredge
more efficiently in deep waters.

You don't have to have
the horsepower to lift, like,

Hundreds of pounds of aggregate
up to the surface.

unlike topside dredges,

The little dragon processes
gold underwater

In a dual sluice box system.

The bottom box traps
chunky gold,

While harder to capture
fine gold

Is filtered out in a second mat
at the top of the box.
