I was seeing a bunch of old gold
claims from 100 years ago,

Old gold strikes.

going back the last 100 years

That goes into the ocean,

I'm really looking for.

I'm looking for a bunch of
gold strikes on land

That hopefully there will be
huge gold in the ocean.

You haven't mentioned

They're not really made

the less-is-more approach.

Kris: trying to create a dredge,
very small, very fast

That can withstand
eight-foot waves,

And these are the pieces
that I need.

I'm calling it the sickle.

This is meat and potatoes.

It's not big enough to stand on,

And you're not gonna
throw a party on it,

But it's lightweight,
it's mobile,

And it should pull
about 10 knots,

So we should be able to get
anywhere we want to, fast.

That sits on
four river pontoons,

And unlike the reaper,
the bare-bones dredge

Can easily be towed
by a jet boat,

Allowing it to travel
up to 20 knots

And cut through
