thank you Tell us is being a magician a

good job What's the best job I've ever

had Can kids learn magic Sure Just go to

your school library or your public

library and check out some magic books

Can you teach me and the kids at home

some magic tricks Sure I'd be delighted

Um let's see I'll need my little helper

Okay Now first we'll set the stage a

little bit by giving it some color To do

that we'll use this tube Nothing inside

Nothing inside But actually when you

wave the hand and take the top off it's

Duck feathers Wow

Really Now one of the things that you

can do at home that you can do tonight

is you find a silver sphere Now any

silver sphere will do You take the

sphere and you balance it on your

fingertips like this You can take the

top fingers away but don't ever take the

bottom

fingers Float Float Float And don't ever

show anybody it's nothing more than a

soup ladle sticking out of your sleeve

Okay Now if you ever drink out of a soup

ladle only drink from this side Never

this side

I know it Cuz if you drink from this

side you wear it Okay Now at home you

should have a a small ball like this Now

this happens to be a cubed super ball

but any ball will work You hold the ball

like this grab it and

go And the hardest part of that effect

is learning how to

go You see the ball is right

here So when I hold the ball the thumb

goes underneath You drop the ball act

like you grab it turn this hand towards

you and

go And then you're ready to pull it

out of someone's

ear Okay Now Janet would you hand me

that string please Yep Thank you This is

one of my favorite

illusions The illusion here is that we

have two separate strings Okay Now would

you hold that end please Hang on tight

And Mark would you hold that end Hang on

tight Now I'm going to take the middle

and bring your hand this way and this

way One and one is what One Two Two Two

He was right It's

one In this case it's mind over matter

If you don't mind it doesn't matter Now

the string is made up of more string See

that There's like 15 pieces there So to

do the effect you get a thick piece of

string find the middle and simply

separate the middle of the string let go

and it'll twist Now whichever way it's

twisting continue to twist it So here

doesn't that look like two pieces of

string It's really one piece of string

with the middle taken out And when you

move their hands apart that string turns

in to one piece Wow This is a good one

This is one of my favorite ones Okay

last but not

least This one takes quite a bit of

slight of hand You have four quarters

and a blue cap There's one two

three four Now I'm going to go like this

Janet which hand would you guess They're

in this one Nope They're over here

That's okay It's designed to do that Now
