big I've gotten and the second they want

to know what I want to be when I grow up

why do adults always ask us what we want

the next show to be honest no well maybe

we can help what about a show on

engineering well I don't think kids

would be very interested h uh what about

a show on world government hey I have an

idea why don't we do a show about what

we can be when we grow up what a great

to the Kids Songs TV show the one and

only show made by kids for kids and

starring kids hi I'm Sergio Centenno and

I'm Tiffany Burton and we're the Bigles

we just flew in from Big Land to help

out with today's show and boy are my

arms tired the Kids Songs kids have

planned a great show for all you kids at

home all about things you can be when

you grow up that's right Ruby we're

going to be looking at all kinds of

careers you know kids grow up but bigles

don't have to how can that be Billy see

I can be big even though I'm just a kid

and when I grow up even though I'll be

older I can still be small if I want to

wow kids are different Billy we grow up

and get big and get jobs our friend

David wants to be a famous bugle player

when he grows up check him out in the

famous dropping man from Chicago way he

had a boogie style that no one else

could play he was the top man at his

grab the man never came up and he was

counted as a draft he's in the army now

uncle Sam it really brought him down

because he couldn't jam had to sing to

really given it much thought when I was

little I really wanted to be a

construction worker because I love those

bulldozers and the way they push stuff

around but I'm not sure anymore all I

know is I want to have fun we're back

patrolling the coastline and saving

lives and sometimes they have to be away

from their home for a long time the hard

work's okay but I don't like being away

from my family what's another career we

of careers what's a cavalcade it's a

is unusual to say the least to find out

Matt Plendle to the Kids Songs TV show

hi Matt hi Mimi how did you make your

hobby hula hooping into a career well

when I was 13 I was the national hula

hoop champion and then years later when

I got out of college I put an act

together using some of these tricks that

I'm doing now and now I tour around the

country and to other countries as well

and I do shows for different groups of

kids and on TV shows and basketball

halftime shows and so how did you start

well I started with one hula hoop and I

learned how to do it around my waist and

then I learned how to do it around my

knees and around one leg and then got it

around my ankle and then up to the top

and in and out like this and then you

seem very And then you put them all

together yeah do you love hula hooping i

really like it a lot it's fun and it's

good exercise and keeps me in good shape

do you have any advice for kids i would

say practice makes perfect i practiced

for three years before I became the

national champion and now this is how I

make my living do you have a grand

finale for us oh yes I do
