in our community have been damaged by

the recent floods mhm and all of us here

at the television station need to do

something to help out what can we do

we're just kids oh kids can do a lot

let's come up with some ideas i have an

idea what if the staff of the Kids Songs

television show adopts a family that has

lost a lot of things and replaces them

well that's a pretty tall order now how

would you do that we could all bring in

things that we can do without but we'd

also have to make some money to buy

important items like groceries we could

have a car wash there's at least 100

cars in the station every day what a

good idea what a wonderful idea you kids

you always impress me and we'll help out

yes we're all brothers and sisters and

how long have you been playing together

we've been playing for about four and a

half years together how did you learn to

play the instruments well I got a guitar

for my birthday and after that Katrina

got a fiddle and then Britney got a

mandolin and Jake got a banjo and then

the two little girls learned how to play

fiddle and what was left was bass for

Chris what is bluegrass music bluegrass

music came from Kentucky and uh people

used to play it just sitting around

their porches families would learn and

the music would get passed down from

generation to generation and Bill Monroe

and his bluegrass boys started a band

and after that everyone kind of called

this kind of music bluegrass can you

guys play something else for us we sure
