the most recyclable materials and

everyone on the show is helping us what

an admirable project what can we do to

help the station uses so many things

that are recyclable if I can make this a

stationwide drive then I know we can win

and what do you win computers for our

classroom and the library i think it's a

great project for the whole station to

work on together in fact I feel it's

safe to say you'll have management's

complete cooperation and support in this

what are you doing recycling Billy what

does that mean recycling means using

stuff again like this old paper i don't

get it okay here's an example paper is

made from trees but you can also make

new paper by taking old paper and

washing it and cleaning it and then it's

as good as new paper again wow so if we

get all this paper to the recycling

center that means they'll make it into

new paper and less trees will get cut

down oh that is very very cool cutting

down trees is not cool it's not good at

all but saving trees I like it i really

really like it i really want to be part

of this recycling drive me too let's

think about what we could do to help

recycle it all we can put a few boxes

around and remind everybody to put the

used paper in the boxes instead of the

trash hey maybe we can do it all over

the station can you imagine how much

paper this station goes through in one

day it's very important that we save

paper cuz if we don't more trees will

get cut down and I don't like that one

bit you're absolutely right Billy we're

going to get everyone in the station

into the recycling habit it's going to

department i've got another 30 loads for

you 30 loads and all these cans and

bottles are from the cafeteria how many

days worth of stuff is that just two but

it's so much you bet we feed over 200

people two meals a day plus snacks we go

through a lot of stuff wow i got it what

an idea to help with the recycling drive

oh good i'm really into this recycling

drive my dad owns a trucking company

i'll call him after the show and ask him

if he can help us bring the stuff to the

recycling center great idea you might be

is just as valuable as the tree it came

from and this plastic bottle is really

oil drilled from deep under the world's

oceans and these cans are really

has two wonderful guests one is the

reptile expert Jules Sylvester and the

other is his very adorable iguana

Tequita take it away Janet hi I'm here

with Jules Sylvester and his iguana

thank you for joining us here my

pleasure how big is she she's 4t wow how

big is she going to get she can get up

to about 7 ft m that's like twice my

size isn't it yeah it's a big lizard

what does she eat she eats a lot of

fruits and vegetables bananas lettuce

and she also eats dried dog food so

she's like a vegetarian yeah but she

does eat occasionally meat a little bit

of meat like cat food and stuff like

that how old is she she's about 8 8 and

1/2 years old now how long do they live

she can get it to about 25 years i know

that one of your iguanas made a cameo

appearance in our video Fiddle ID yeah

she loved that straw hat

um are they good pets they make really

nice pets like most pets do you have to

take spend some time with them what

parts of the world do they live in

central and South America are there

different kinds of lizards yeah there's

uh basically three types you got this

green iguana then on some of the islands

you've got a rhino iguana which looks

like this with a big horn on his nose

and then of course in the Galapagus

Islands you've got the marine iguana

yeah the ones that swim right that's

right yeah what's this thing right here

that's a duelap and that comes with all

iguanas and it's a It's usually a

warning sign it's also when they're

chasing other iguanas out of their

territory they flap that around and

scare everybody off can I pet her sure

ooh she's nice she's really rough isn't

she she's rough she's sweet and feel the

spines on top see she's shedding her

skin there look

cuz she loses it anyway right yeah she

sheds all the time she grows and she
