01x14 - The Snow Ghost

the snow

ghost it was a winter morning and the

countryside was covered in snow connie

got up very early to look at the

sparkling white fields

this is so exciting everything's magical

and covered in snow cony

connie hey let's go for a walk in the

snow sounds like a great idea

so the two friends set off through the

frosty

landscape on the way they passed Hedgy

the hedgehog he was wearing his stripey

sock on his nose to keep warm but it

seemed poor Hedgy had caught a cold

[Music]

anyway then they saw a busy little

beetle he was rolling a big round peach

through the snow where are you taking

that enormous peach i'm taking it home

to be my family this peach is big enough

to keep us going for a week

cheerfully the beetle rolled his peach

away

next they saw an ant playing in the snow

hello Mr ant are you having fun yes I

love sledging we have plenty of food

stored up in the antill so I can go out

and play in the snow while the ant was

talking Patch noticed something very odd

indeed a strange shape was moving around

in the snow

honey honey the snow's moving all by

itself

i can't see anything moving Patch

[Music]

but it was moving i saw it with my own

eyes connie carried on walking when

suddenly the shape in the snow scooted

past she stared at it in surprise and

just then it stopped

[Music]

oh Connie

it's the strangest thing I've seen in my

life

hatch you've got a good sense of smell

maybe if you have a good sniff you can

find out what it is

i can't tell what it is all I can smell

is snow well I'm going to dig down and

find out what's

underneath i don't understand this one

bit patch there's nothing there

then Patch saw another lump and went to

investigate look here's another one

patch I think it might be a ghost a snow

ghost

while the butterflies played in the snow

Connie and Patch went to pay a visit to

their old friend Gr so you see I think

this lump in the snow is a kind of ghost

what's that you say a little mount of

snow that moves around on its own and

then disappears yes have you seen it as

well Grouch as a matter of fact I can

see it behind you now

[Music]

that's it that's it it's the snow ghost

racing across the snow

i'm going to see what that thing really

is

[Music]

oh Grudge do be careful

[Music]

oh poor Grouchy are you all right i'm

okay it was just a bump and you're right

that thing's a ghost and a clever one

too then we'll just have to be even

clever won't we

connie Patch and Grouch searched for the

mysterious ghost all over the

woods if I climb on top of this mound of

snow I'll be able to see all around and

spot the

[Music]

ghost it's moving

[Music]

hooray at last there it is we found the

[Music]

ghost connie chased after the ghost she

was determined to catch it but all of a

sudden it disappeared into thin

air connie was a bit disappointed she

had so wanted to catch the ghost

but she didn't let herself get

downhearted for long and carried on

searching with her friends it's the

ghost it's over there right behind you

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

but Connie was brave and stayed right

where she was

huh

ow i bumped myself on the nose

oh it's not a ghost at all it's a mole

i've been looking for my burrow under

the snow all day but I can't find it

anywhere i was right all along i told

you there was no such things as ghosts

didn't

[Music]

I connie and her friends were very happy

they had solved the mystery of the snow

ghost and they helped the mole to find

his burrow

thank you so much for helping me i'm

terribly sorry if I scared you i didn't

mean to oh don't worry about that none

of us were the slightest bit scared were

we well I was a bit worried but at the

same time I was having a lot of fun

that night as Connie went to sleep she

felt very safe there was no need to be

scared of ghosts she thought because

they don't exist sweet dreams Connie
