rock she thought it would be fun to play

it was an egg with a baby tortoise in
it Connie was very glad to see the baby
t as his mother she had come to find her

one later on Connie was strolling beside
a field of wheat when suddenly up popped

food and when we got back we found that
our darling egg was nowhere to be found
and our little one must be about to
hatch oh and what does your egg look
like it's big and green with little pink
spots just then Connie remembered mat's
new
toy there's no need to worry anymore I
know where it's got to Mommy and Daddy
bird were very
happy they set out with to find their

Connie oh how wonderful look there dear
our egg hat I think you should put that
thing down it's an egg and it might get
broken oh I didn't realize it was an

egg I'm very sorry I thought it was a
big green
ball oh don't worry patch I'm just very
happy that you didn't break it
now would you two like to come and see
our little one
hatch patch and con said that they'd
love to see the egg hatch and they all
went to the bird's home in the wheat

own now that means it's about to
hch just then the egg broke open had a
very funny little bird poked out its
head congratulations your little one has
hatched out

safely the baby bird hopped out of the
egg and took its very first
steps look at it

go patch thought the baby was very cute
and he went to play with

it although patch had lost his toy he
was having even more fun with his new
friend the little

bird that night Connie was very happy
because she'd seen a baby bird and a
baby tortoise hatch little babies are so
sweet she thought she'd ask her mommy if
she could have a baby sister sweet
