to papy land are you ready for some fun

hey Sunny don't you know what time it

is oh my it's BL after two it's time to

get inspired to draw what do you say

kids how should we get inspired

today what's that you say did you say

the wishing wheel that's a wonderful

idea why didn't I think of that

let's give the wheel a spin by pulling

this big Leever up this will start our

day off with a new

idea the grand Garden of pulin what a

wonderful idea this gets me all

inspired pumpkin pop and his boy pump

kid live here along with all the other

things that GR the py land Garden well

then let's

go isn't this exciting we're in the

garden now you just came through the

wishing wheel and suddenly you're here

Shapes

okay okay boys and girls get your

crayons and your markers ready cuz today

we're going to draw a series of

different shapes and see where they take

us are you ready let's get

started I'm going to start off by

drawing a square okay any I know what a

square looks like well if you don't pay

attention and follow me here we

go we'll put one straight line

here and another

one right there good and we'll put one

here and connect it now that's a

square okay what can we make out of this

Square what do you

see I know what I see

are you ready now you can make it

anything you like but happy see

something in particular here we go I'm

going to make a

block one line there another line there

and connect it and come back down and

connect it right

there oh boy that looks like one of one

of my play

blocks yes and I'm going to put a uh I'm

going to put the letter A on one of the

sides just like just like blocks are

really are here we go one line there we

all know how to make an a some of us

don't but some of us do and those of you

that don't know how to make an a just

follow along and copy what papy just

drew good and I'm going to put the

number one right there

good that that was a fun shape let's do

another

shape I know let's do a circle we all

know how to do a circle now remember

what I told you get that wrist going in

a motion like this round and round and

here we

go

good I think I know what this looks like

I'll bet you do too a ball that's right

now you can color the ball any way you'd

like you can draw it with stripes you

can put little circles like polka dots

on it or you can just just color it in

solid okay in this case I'm going to put

circles on mine like polka

dots

La circles four five six seven polka

dots on my

ball okay let's try another shape now

I'm going to draw they call a triangle

okay are you ready a triangle has three

lines now follow along we'll put one

here good and we'll draw a flat

horizontal line just like

that and starting right here at this

point we're going to connect it

now what do you see what do you see when

we look at that

triangle does it look like anything

particular you can draw anything you'd

like you can make turn it into anything

that you see because we all have

different imaginations don't we okay you

know what I see I see a clown's hat or a

party hat when you have a birthday party

you wear that funny kind of hat that

goes to a point well that's what this

looks like to me so I'm going to draw

that here we

go I'm going to put

some fuzzy lines over here like that

sometimes they have funny ba*ls on the

top like that and they're all

fuzzy and then the Hat has stripes on it

like a candy

cane just like

that oh that was fun that does look like

a party hat well how does yours look

good I'm sure it looks fine now let's

try another shape something different

and you can follow along with me okay

all right I'm ready to get started I'm

going to put my pinpoint right here and

I'm going to spin

around and I'm going around and

around and I'm GNA

stop I don't know exactly what this is

yet but I'm going to think about it and

give it a try and see where it takes us

okay are you ready I know you are so

let's get to

it well

let's see if I put a line

here and I put another

line here and bring it

around what do you think it's starting

to look like does anybody have any

ideas I think it looks kind of like a

shell what kind of shell is that

does anybody know what a snail shell

looks like CU that's what I'm starting

to see when I look at this this drawing

here it looks like a snail

shell okay I know what a snail looks

like I'll draw it for you if you have

never seen one happy will show you what

it looks

like I'll put one line

here and that finishes the shell so we

need to put a face on the snail his face

is sticking out of the shell okay and

he's looking around because he doesn't

know where he wants to crawl next so

he's got his head sticking out of the

shell and he's looking around to see

where he wants to go

next right here at this point let's come

up with this line and around and around

like that and stop now we'll just bring

his neck down like

that

good what's he

missing eyes huh well we'll put some

eyes on them right

now one

dot two dots good now he has these now

he has little antenna little feelers it

kind of helps him to follow along where

he's going so he doesn't trip over

himself and we'll start by putting one

right here and go back like that and put

another one right

there and finish it by putting a DOT

there and we'll put a little Shadow

right

here and starting here we'll put a

little tail on

them good well that's our snail

well P kid did you learn anything I

think I did Mr snail seemed very

comfortable and happy even though he was

moving real slow very very good P kid

you know what we can learn from that

that it's okay to take time yes very

good son you're learning patience like

when you told me to be patient you

talking if I was patient I would have

waited you're a very good learner pump

kid hey py could we sing a song about

patience maybe it will help the kids who

are watching too yes pumpkin pop we can

sing one right now

Coloring

Garden I'm pumpkin pop and this boy pump

kid so much fun I really enjoy the times

we get to have an adventure out in Happy

Land don't you but I also like it when

we come back here to color and talk with

Elmer hello Elmer you're quiet today I

was waiting until you were through

talking oh uh you were being patient

yeah right now will you hurry up and

color that

thing well he's learning but it's true

it's time to color you have your crayons

ready good let's

begin okay let's Begin by coloring our

snail and I think I'm going to color our

snail green is that okay with everybody

else okay you can color him any color

you'd like but papy's going to color his

green all right here we

go get my crayons out here and this is

my green crayon and I'm going to call

the snail's head green

and he two anten scking up

there makes him look

very I forgot to do his tail well let's

do his tail okay there's a little tail

sticking out there and we'll make that

green

too very

good all right now let's let's do the

bottom uh the Brown that he's crawling

on let's do that uh I think Brown would

be a nice color let's say he's crawling

on the dirt okay so I'm going to take my

brown crayon and I'm going to begin

coloring right below the snail there we

go good very good just follow along and

take your time we're in no hurry we want

our drawings to look very

nice so if we rush our drawings they

won't turn out as well that's py likes

to take his

time very

good all

right now I'd like to color in the snail

has a shell and uh let's color in his

shell I'd like to use the the crayon

orange okay the the orange crayon is

what I'd like to use to do the shell all

righty and we'll we'll start by just

filling that in like this

and just fill that right in like

that very good and keep filling it in we

have more to do so be patient here we go

round and round we go here and just fill

that right

in BO that's a nice color orange is one

of my favorite colors and we'll just

fill that right in like that and

continue onward here and continue here

and fill it in right there oh looking

good all

right okay now I notice on the top of

our our page here or our our piece of

paper there's some little Doodles that I

did and I think it'd be a good

opportunity for to color those in right

now I think that would be fun don't you

okay okay here's a little block here it

looks like a little building block or

something play block and I'm going to

color one side red just like

that and I know a lot of you have uh

play blocks and they're different colors

aren't they okay so let's let's do the

other side of the block green

very

good very nice and I think I'm going to

uh paint the top of this block uh yellow

that'd be a nice color wouldn't

it oh that looks very

nice how's yours looking good I'm sure

it looks wonderful oh this will be fun

I'm gonna color in a ball and it has

polka dots on it okay I'm gonna I'm

gonna color my ball

pink here we go it's a very nice color

pink kind of looks like bubblegum

doesn't

it well just make sure because it looks

like bubblegum that you that you don't

chew on your crayon you don't want to

chew on your crayon because it's pink

and it looks like

bubblegum okay we just want to color

with our crayons

oh that looks very nice now let's go

inside the ball and we'll color those

polka dots yellow okay here we

go one polka dot there two polka dots

three polka dots four polka

dot five yellow polka dot six and seven

that's a pretty ball you could I don't

mind if you color with different colors

you don't have to use the same colors

that using you can you can color any

color use any color you'd like Cy

doesn't mind in fact I love it when you

when you use your own ideas you know

it's important that you think for

yourselves and color things the way you

see them all right here we go I'm going

to color this it looks like a birthday

hat doesn't it you know the those

wonderful little round hats that you

wear on your birthday and there little

tassels on the top or a little ball on

the top or whatever it might look like

they're all different I'm going to make

mine blue

I'm going to put blue stripes on my hat

one and another one right

here

good and I think I'm going to make the

other Stripes green okay I'm going to

take my green crayon and I'm going to

fill in the other stripe green blue and

green look so nice

together very good now I think I'd like

to put a background on our snail here

right you know just indicate that maybe

it's a a nice it's a nice day and

there's a blue sky back there so I'm

going to indicate some blue behind our s

our snail here okay and I'm going to be

very careful not to cover up what I've

already colored

in and I'm just gonna fill that in like

that I hope you like your picture as as

I like

mine and I know that you do your and

have funy and

coling people

enjoy you give

it oh you're such a good artist and and

when you do real neat work that's what

they'll tell you they'll say you're a

very good

artist all right let's finish the

background here and that's starting to

look very

nice oh wonderful I'll be proud to give

this to

somebody yes I

will okay that about finishes it up I

think it looks very nice and I'll put my

crayons

away there that looks

good how about yours does it look like

mine does it look a little different

it's okay if it looks different now you

can give it to someone you care about or

if you'd like you can send it to me to

the address at the end of the program

you never know maybe I'll show it on one

of our future programs we'll see hey
