to papy's

cabin let's see who do we have with us

today there's Julianne and Sharon

and John and Paul I see you too David

all the children are here you say you're

ready to have some fun you sure come to

the right place hey Sunny don't you know

what time it

is what oh my it's it's blue after too

it's time to get inspired to draw I'm so

glad to see you back in papy land the

fun never never ends when we're together

I'm feeling creative today how about you

how do you think we could find

inspiration for drawing and singing

today did I hear somebody say papy scope

what a pyic

idea oh why didn't I think of

that down

scope

the py scope will make an idea happen

for us today are you ready to take a

look with

me are you wondering where we are

today's destination is the Hamlet home

of our furry friend buddy bear buddy may

have a honey of an idea for us today

happy I'm ready for the children send

them along Okie doie pey give Buddy a

big bear hug for

me today is barely started and I can

already tell we're going to have a

wonderful time we'll travel through the

Hamlet and find buddy bear that's when

the fun really begins let's

go you all made it here very very good

we have just a little bit further to go

before we get to see our buddy buddy

bear come on along

look like buddy bear is sewing wood

instead of stacking it I guess he fell

asleep before he finished the job he

started hm

my great grandpy papy always told me

never wake up a Sleeping Bear maybe

there's a way I can help buddy bear with

his work until he wakes

up jumping honeybees what was that oh hi

buddy bear sorry to disturb you

oh hello py hello boys and girls I was

stacking wood and the next thing I knew

I buddy bear buddy bear wake up

oh what happened you fell asleep again

buddy bear You' think I lived in

hibernation instead of the hlin I was

just telling my friends that it looks

like you haven't been too diligent with

your work

maybe I haven't been diligent but I have

been working hard but that's what

diligent means buddy when you have

diligence you work very hard to get

something done you started a job but you

fell asleep before you finished it where

can I buy some of this diligence papy

you can't buy diligence but you can find

it right inside yourself underneath all

that

fur I can sure you can start being

diligent by completing the job you

started will you bear with me py while I

finish why of course buddy in fact it's

time for me to show some diligence

myself have you had a chance to get out

your crayons or your pencils or your

markers if you haven't go and get them

now today boys and girls we're going to

draw

a beaver that's right and he's going to

be standing by the side of a river bank

all righty are you ready is everybody

all set let's do

it we're going to start by drawing the

beaver's face and we're going to do that

right now by putting one little curv

line right here to indicate that that's

his ear good let's put another line

right here swing it around with another

curved line to make the other ear

good now right here at this point let's

just do another curved

line and do the same on the other

side and just stop where papy stopped

very good let's do his nose and that's

just kind of like an oval which is a

flat circle it's not real round it's

kind of curved on the edge like that and

that's kind of an oval shape good now

we're going to do the front part of his

face here here where his mouth is by

just making a curved line there and

another one right right beside it very

good okay let's do his eyes they're just

two circles one two and two little dots

one two that makes that makes it look

like he's looking at you all right now

let's do the back of the beaver and

we'll just put a curve line like that

bring it around and stop and loop it

around and stop and uh oh we're GNA

continue so hang on here we go and

stop all right let's do the front paws

of our Bieber all right here we go

starting right here at this point bring

a curved line right there and bring this

line down like that because that's going

to be his paw he's going to be holding

on to a branch bring that around like

that and

stop good now let's do the same thing on

the other side starting right whoops I

just noticed something our Bieber

doesn't have a front tooth let's do that

now here we go starting right

here a small line down to there bring it

over slowly bring it up and stop that's

a big tooth good now let's draw his

other arm by starting right here bring

it down do the same thing over here

bring it down and stop good now let's

draw the branch and it's kind of

sticking in the water so we'll start at

low and bring it up right to there swing

that line over like that and bring it

over to here and stop and a small line

right there and bring it down and stop

very good now we're going to bring this

over because that part's in the water

and we're going to continue this line

upward and we're going to stop right

there okay very good the reason the

reason py stopped is because that's the

beaver's little paw is going to be

wrapped around that Branch okay so we

had to leave a little space for it all

right let's just continue by making two

little swooping lines like that there's

one of his little fingers and another

one and another one just like that very

good okay let's do his tail does anybody

know what kind of a tail a Bieber has a

flat tail that's right it's flat and it

kind of makes a a thuing noise in the

water doesn't it it

goes all right let's draw his tail by

starting right here bring that line

around like that and bring it in closer

and

stop all right let's put a little design

on the on the back of his tail on the

front on the top side of his tail that's

where it is and we're going to do a

little pattern or a little design by

drawing some lines like this very good

okay and we're going to start by at this

point right here and just bring some

more lines down like that almost like a

Tic Tac Toe huh okay good now we have to

draw the river bank that he's he's

standing on don't we all right let's

start by drawing the grass that's on the

edge of the river bank and that's just

some squiggly lines like this you can

have fun and make them any way you'd

like as long as it looks close the

papies very

good okay now right next to our Beaver

is a stack of wood okay so follow along

we're going to draw a stack of wood

right now and that's just a pile of of a

a long we're going to draw some long

lines to to so it looks like these twigs

and these branches okay follow pay

attention to Ping he'll show you how

here we go we'll put one long line there

like that

and another

one and we'll draw another one out there

like that and you can make your branches

long longer or shorter doesn't matter

papy's just drawing a bunch of branches

in here any any way he pleases and you

can do it just like papy or make up your

own very good let's just put another

line there see it's starting to look

like a pile of branches and we're going

to put one over here like that very good

and we'll put one sticking out over

there

and I'm going to put another little one

over there like that and I'm going to

continue it behind there starting to

look pretty good well let's see here now

we have to draw the River Bank itself

that's that muddy part that goes into

the water right on the edge I slipped on

that one time and fell right in the

water okay let's just bring this line

over like

that and around like that it's a long

curve line is what it is and we'll stop

right

there now I'm going to put a line right

here just to

indicate some little Ripples and the

dirt and stuff like that okay there you

go you can you can follow along with

papy it if you can't draw very good

you're going to learn to draw by

following me all right now let's show

the other side of the bank okay by

showing the grass that's gr on the other

side all right now in order to do that

we did we're going to draw just what we

did right here you see those little

wiggling lines to show the grass we'll

do that on the other side here we

go and you can have fun with

it very

good

well that's our drawing of a beaver by a

riverbank

poor buddy he slept through the whole

drawing lesson and he still has a lot of

stacking to do when he wakes up maybe we

can help him I'll start stacking the

wood for him while we sing a song

together singing always makes J seem a

little e easier don't you agree today's

song is about

diligence oh sing a song I'm right here

papy will you play that song on

diligence for us sure here

goes there's a word that means to work

real hard that some like to

hear they would rather run real far

whenever work is near

it's a word that has rewards for those

who got good

sense it's a big long word and it's

called true

diligence dig dig it needs to work real

hard and when you do you find you that

you can get real

far d

to work hard and you do find

you you don't work but always sleep and

never get things done you'll get so

tired and bored and never have good fun

but when you work and finish things that

you're supposed to

do you will find great energy explains

that W of

TR diligence diligence it

means and you do find it true

that it to work real hard and when you

do you find that you

can y

like that buddy but we've been here for

quite a while it's just that while we

somewhere in

look like you've been hard at work py I

have Pat I stacked a whole pile of wood

for Buddy bear but now I need to get the

children back to the cabin so we can

color the picture we drew it's time to

escope from the Hamlet here we

go that was a woodpile of fun at buddy

Bears today best of all we learn how we

can be diligent and have fun at the same

time right boys and girls let's get

ready to work on calling our pictures of

the Bieber and we'll try to remember to

have lots of fun doing it are you ready

to help us callor Elmer Elmer where are

you

Elmer gee I wonder who's working in the

bus saw well I guess we' better get

started without

him what God

I must have fallen

asleep it looks like you fell asleep on

the job Elmer watching you work so hard

stacking buddy Bears wood made me

extremely tired so you needed to take a

break from all my hard work hey what are

friends

for oh Elmer do you think you can stay

awake long enough to help the children

color as long as you don't work too hard

at it I wouldn't want you to tire out

again with my hard work

Elber do you have all your crayons ready

to go girls and boys if not hurry and

get them or you can always use your

imagination to color in your picture and

that can be fun too now let's

begin let's start by coloring our Beaver

Brown and I'll pull out a brown crayon

here there it is my brown crayon do you

know what color brown is all right

here we go I'm going to start coloring

in The Beaver Brown and I'll start right

here and just take your

time

and very carefully just fill in this

area we have a long way to go yet so

just take your time and just fill it

right in like

that oh boy it's starting look very

good that's brown fur on this

Beaver there we

go and just continue onward down to this

paw and

continue oh that looks very

good and just get rid of some of the

excess crayon down there there we go oh

did did you you say I forgot to do his

face you're right let's do it now all

right let's just continue

onward I see something else that could

be brown

too the dirt by the

water right over here that could be

brown but I'm think I'm going

to make it a different color let's go

well I tell you let's make this twig or

branch that he has in his hand let's

make this Branch here we'll make it

brown also but I won't bear down on my

crayon I'll just do it lightly and

that'll make it kind of a different

color see it's the same crayon but

because I'm not bearing down so hard on

it it's very

light good and let's color in these

other

branches like

so and and I'm not bearing down very

hard I'm doing it very

lightly so that it's a lighter

brown than the brown we have on the

beaver

fur very good there we go just fill that

in like

that very

good

and that in there and one more over here

very good

all right I'm going to take my yellow

crayon I'm going to take the yellow

crayon and I'm going to go over the

brown on on the pile of wood over here

okay and see if we can change that color

a little bit and make it more of a

golden brown see by adding a little bit

of yellow over the brown we've created a

a much brighter more cheerful Brown see

that it's more of a golden

brown mixing brown and yellow will give

it this bright golden brown there we

go that looks pretty good let's do it on

this Branch

now that's nice very

good okay I see a large area that we

should color in and I think uh it should

be green you you know what I mean you

know what I'm talking about where it is

it should be green it's right here all

this area here is the grass the beaver

is sitting on and down here should be

green too so we you'll start out by

using our green

crayon and just start coloring it

in no one ever said that coloring was

easy sometimes it takes a little work to

do a good drawing doesn't it all

right here we go remember how the Bieber

just kept trying to build his pile of

sticks in the

water his diligence really paid off

didn't it boys and

girls because he finished the

job just like we'll keep coloring until

we finish our

pictures there it it's looking

good and continue now I'm just going to

get lighter and lighter and stop and I'm

going to start real dark real dark there

and I'm going to get lighter and lighter

and lighter and stop like there right

there and underneath the Bieber's face

here his head we'll put green and

continue that green on the outside here

too

see there we go look at that papy sure

can color fast can

he yes he can look at that oh we're just

working our green into these

areas doing the best we can

and making the grass

green and continue it over here very

good now let's do over here on the other

side we'll indicate the other side of

the stream or the river here we

go just like

so and I will just continue coloring

this green using the green

crayon oh that's looking pretty good all

right let's take our Orange cray now

which is this crayon here that's our

orange crayon and we're going to color

the bank all right and the bank is that

part right beneath the grass here that

goes into the water that's the river

bank and we'll color that

orange here we

go very

good yeah it's starting to look pretty

good and we'll just continue that in

here like

that I think I'll do the same on the

front of the beaver's face here right

over

here underneath his

nose and I think I'll use orange for his

tail

too he has a flat

tail that looks pretty good now let's

take blue take the color blue and we're

going to color the water because water

is blue here we

go and I'm G to go light I'm going to

start out very dark and bring it down

and stop and I'm going to start out dark

just like this and I'm going to bring it

down and I'm going to bring it lighter

and lighter and I'm going to

stop and I think I'll just put a black

nose on our

beaver and that just

about takes care of our coloring in the

the beaver here I'll put my crayons

away and I'm sure yours looks very good

and let's see

here

good we're all done with our coloring

now are you happy with your work and

let's see how you did oh you've done

such a grand job I can tell you really

used your imaginations I'm glad some of

the drawings look a little different

than

mine not again

Elber oh sorry pey I tried to stay awake

but it just didn't work as I was saying

it's good to be different because it

wouldn't be as interesting if everyone

did everything exactly the same hey

Sunny don't you know what time it

is oh my it's quarter to Orange it's

time to put papy away but I'll be back

and I hope you'll keep being diligent

about coming to papy land I can't wait

to work and play together again you know

it will be fun because yeah I know

anything can happen when you're in Happy
