time hi everybody it's great to be back

in the cabin ready for another day in

pappyland yeah hello Lily would you like

some water will you brush my brush Pappy

sounds like we're about to get a visit

from male bird here with a special

delivery letter for Pappy thank you see

you later papi I gotta fly the letter

lands is overflowing with mail hey good

you better get organized hmm who can

this be from hey wait a minute this

isn't my mail this is a letter to buddy

bear

how about here male bird buddy bear here

I got the wrong man by letter you

delivered to me is for Pappy Pappy how

did that happen I have to call you back

buddy bout my other phone line is

ringing okay but call me back right away

male bird I'm going to draw a picture

for you that should help you get the

picture I'm being organized well boys

and girls you don't have your pencils

markers and paper ready go get them now

or you can just sit and watch this is

great Pappy I can use the brakes good

today we're going to draw a toy box with

some toys scattered around it and inside

the toy box or some toys also okay I'm

going to begin by drawing the toy box

and I'm pointing a straight line right

here that's the edge of the toy box now

let's bring this line over and continue

over like that very long straight line

and starting right here let's bring this

line down just like that I'm stopping

because there's going to be something in

front of that line like a ball there's

going to be a ball there in fact let's

draw that ball right now and that's

merely a circle and I like to get my

risk going round and round and when I'm

ready I put the point of my marker down

and I let it go like that good alrighty

now right over here in this area I'm

going to draw a toy as toy teddy bear

he's going to be a stuffed teddy bear

and he's going to be leaning up against

the box so let's begin by drawing the

teddy bear

two ears and this is going to be his

head let's draw one of his arms hand I

care and another one over here looping

line and another line like so we'll put

one line there and another line right

there I always look forward to drawing

with you girls and boys it gives me a

chance to share something special with

you drawing an hour is special because

it's a wonderful way to express yourself

what's showing how you feel are telling

a story with pictures I hope you share

your art work with people who are

special to you

and another line here those are the

bottoms of his feet now let's show the

other edge of the corner the corner of

the box here there's an edge right here

so I'm going to draw a straight line

right behind the teddy bear that's a

straight line let's bring this line over

and stop and start right here and bring

that over like so alrighty now right

here it's going to be a sailboat and

let's draw our sailboat by putting one

line there looks like an upside down v

doesn't it see that looks like an upside

down v and connect it and now it looks

like a triangle and that's the sale of

the sailboat and we'll draw a straight

line now let's draw the boat and that's

a straight line like that and stop bring

this down bring the other end down like

that and connect them just like soul

okay let's put the nose on the teddy

bear he needs a nose so let's draw an

oval right here like that and we'll kiss

draw another small oval there now we

need the mouth so we'll draw a straight

line just a straight line like that and

a curve line upward because he's happy

now it's draw two little circles for his

eyes one two very good let's draw the

top of the toy box that's the lid that's

what I'm speaking about now is the lid

of the toy box so let's put a straight

line right there

bring the line over and stop and put one

right next to it just like so good and

connect them good now let's draw the

front of the lid and again that's a

straight line like so bring it over and

stop bring this line over and stop and

connect it and bring this line over and

connect it in there's the lid now

there's some things inside the toy box

will indicate some things let's date is

a ball so we'll just draw part of the

circle here you might want to draw all

kinds of different things in your toy

box and here is a block and bring it

down almost looks like a square and

bring this one down and bring that line

down good and will indicate some more

lines here it's just a show there might

be some other items in the toy box good

I'm going to put the letter A on the

side of my block you could put anything

you want on yours you could put numbers

or the alphabet now let's work on the

ball and I'm going to put some stripes

just like that and you could put polka

dots or stars or anything you'd like on

yours now I'm going to indicate the back

of the wall here this is the molding

that's it's at the more the wall meets

the floor there's usually some kind of

molding or a baseboard so let's just

connect that like that and over here we

need one line there and then

right there let's just indicate the

corner of the room by drawing a line

right there there that about finish is

it seemed a lots of things out of place

let's see what happens boys and girls

picture do your stuff try to get away

to organize the toys and I like how the

teddy bear helped her maybe that's part

let's get coloring if you don't have

your crayons your markers ready get them

now we're going to start calling our toy

box picture I'm going to begin by

coloring the toy box a very bright

orange color

and feel free to choose any color you

like you might want to put stripes or

polka dots on your toy box I think I'm

just gonna call a mine in solid like so

and I'm gonna just keep coloring

[Music]

just it fill it in

take your time

and fill in the lid whoops no problem

sometimes when your crayon breaks it's

because I try to press down or you try

to press down too hard on your train and

it stands but don't don't worry about it

because see you can continue to color by

using the side of the krann just like so

and I want to continue to color this

Harry call the pretty orange color if

you have a lot of art supplies to get

organized you can separate things into

piles and then put them in boxes or

other containers the children could

decorate their containers too right baby

that's a great idea Lily they could drop

pictures of flowers on the containers or

they could cut out pictures of flowers

from magazines and paste them on another

idea is to label your containers and

maybe write the name what's inside on

the outside like pencils or playing

cards or paper clips all right I'm

coloring in the sale on this toy

sailboat right go sunshine this is more

of a sunshine yellow golden l was just a

shade darker than this now I'm going to

choose a gold and young hole for the

bottom you see the difference between

the two yellows yeah you there hmm how

about I'm gonna use the same color for

my teddy bear

I'm using a very small cran you can see

that the broken plan does not hinder me

when I'm coloring just relax and enjoy

what you're doing when you're coloring

or you're drawing or you're painting or

whatever you're doing it's good to relax

when you're doing it and have fun like

I'm doing

now nice

pink color for the ball feel that right

in and

don't worry about staying in the lines

so perfectly just just color in and have

fun with it hmm you might want to choose

a different color or your stripe but I

chose a bright red color

I like your colors Pappy I'm glad you

like them binky the girls and boys can

use the same colors or they can pick out

colors of their own that's what makes

the hollow frame so colorful in such a

great place to visit all right now I'm

going to continue coloring in teddy bear

here I missed is one of his paws here

very good now I think I'm gonna take

take a blue color and color in the rest

of this ball and that'll finish up the

ball oh I see some blocks in the box

there and let me pick a nice green color

for for the rule blocks inside the toy

box there we go

now I'd like to use my brown grand for

the teddy bears nose like so yeah and

maybe just a little bit of brown on the

bottom of this poor like that he's a

stuffed animal there I really like the

colors that you're using you're doing a

great job there now let's just indicate

some yellow right here on this other

side of the block and maybe a little

yellow here and on the top and we'll

choose a color just to show all the

floor like so yeah whoops

alrighty there this just brightens up

the picture even more by coloring the

floor could be a rug to be anything you

want it to be just color it yeah I mean

I see there's a mole in here I'd like to

pick a nice color for that oh I think

yellow would look really good very good

well that's just about finishes it are

you finished with your coloring can I

see your pictures now hold them up as

high as you can hey they're great good

job you hear that you know what that

sound means it's time to visit the Hall

of frames and see more great drawings

children from all over the country of

sent in come on let's go wow these are

all special deliveries to me each one of

these drawings is very special and

creative
