Pappy hi sunny what a great day hi

everyone its special awards day and

petulant and I see you're all looking

very cheerful is it because you've

already received your special awards yes

happy everyone received one and a little

one yes thank you mine says in

recognition of your politeness and good

manners congratulations really those

qualities do make you very special yep

app and mine says that grime special

because I have the best brush stroke of

the land do you really think so cap I

sure do bank how about the rest of you

are you pleased with your awards well

almost declare that I am very honored to

be considered the best talker in

pappyland I knew I'd get an award for my

quick wit and humor Pappy who else in

pappyland cracks as many silly jokes is

I do know one Albert thank goodness

hello sunny oh hello grandpappy thanks

for my award their keeper of peppy lands

history hey Sonny don't you know what

time it is why it's boo after to time

for me to say hello to the boys and

girls a special good morning to you

Marcus is Zachary and Alexis in you too

liana and Miranda and Ian and hello to

all the rest of you too Pappy these

awards are all well and good but did you

give one to everyone in pappyland I sure

did that's because everyone has

something about them that makes them

special and unique now let me think I

did I forget anyone I let's see there's

buddy bear

oh yes and I was a well-to-do wait for

my to come well I can't wait and woody

and yep I remembered every one male bird

deliver them all this morning this just

in listen up everybody Pappy land has

been diluted with doodles yes oodles of

doodles are everywhere the suspect calls

himself Doodlebug it has just been seen

in the vicinity of chalk walk the phones

are ringing off the hook with colors

demanding that Doodlebug stop doodling

immediately ma what we do you Pappy

doodlebugs dude lady is out of control

there's gotta be a good reason for

Doodlebug strange behavior I'll take the

color Catherine over to the chalk walk

to see if I can find him good idea good

Doodlebug Oh Pappy in the color copter I

wonder what happens here well he's

probably mad at me too just like

everybody else oh my gosh doodlebugs

mentoring the land with oodles of

noodles o'leary is now at Doodlebug

Doodlebug I got here as fast as I could

why have you been putting duels all over

papi land I'm sorry pappi I just wanted

everybody that notice my doodles and

that maybe you'd see that my doodles are

what makes me special but I can't even

stop you with my doodles my noodles

aren't steak o I'd neither am I of

course your doodles are special and so

are you why no one in pappyland can make

doodles like you can you know why why

because you love doodling and when you

do something because you enjoy it you

keep getting better and better at it oh

and there's one other thing what your

doodles Doodlebug your doodles are

special because the girls and boys just

love to use their imagination and

creativity to make their own drawings

out of your do lines yes you know we

receive so many doodling drawings each

one is unique and each one is different

you know what I love getting all their

drawings too but i also like to stop you

with my ends do a little snappy can I

try to stop you right now I got what all

ready to go why certainly let me see

that doodle gate huggy hmm in fact i'd

like to invite the boys and girls they

help me out on this one I'll go to my

drawing pad and will turn your doodle

into a drawing that lets you know kissed

how special you really

philosophy are you ready to draw girls

and boys I am so get your pencils and

paper ready and we'll start with doodle

bugs doodle and make it into something

else okay I'm going to begin by drawing

this doodle on to my pad alrighty and

you can do the same at home starting

right here all right yes what can we

make out of this boys and girls let's

see here hmm well it could be the edge

of a table or a box or maybe part of a

block but I think I see something all

right I'm going to just put a line right

there around see if you can guess what

pepe's drawing here all right I'm just

gonna bring this line over bring it

around that up and back down stop you

see something already all right keep

falling along let's just bring this line

up and back down bring it over back up

and back down right to here and now

we're going to bring this line up and

stop right there

hmm well let's continue I see a curved

line right here aha it looks like

somebody's head doesn't it it could be a

little girl I'm going to make a little

girl out of this doodle here we go a

curve line right here and another one

next to it and that's her little

headband right there let's just put a

small curve line right here for the

inside of her ear very nice now I'm

going to draw the little girl's body so

let's just put a long curve line right

there and this could be a piece of paper

and so I'm going to draw her arm holding

a pencil and that's going to be the

piece of paper alrighty so let's just

draw her arm starting at the shoulder

bringing that line down and over and

stop like this starting right here let's

bring this line back down and stop right

there that's the fold where her arm is

bent you see that so we had one little

fold line right there alrighty let's

just indicate the fun of her by doing

that like that bring a small line there

now let's draw her hand holding a pencil

alrighty

bring that over like so let's draw her

her hand like that a curve line and

another curve line and another one and

bring it around there that's her hand

and it's holding a pencil so let's draw

the pencil by putting a straight line

right there and another one right next

to it just like that very nice now let's

draw a little oval right between these

two lines just like so you see that a

little oval right there that would be

the top of the pencil so let's just put

another curve line right there and

that's kind of indicates the eraser or

whatever on the end of that pencil

alrighty i'm just going to put a curve

line here to show us sleeve or that you

know the cuff that front part of a shirt

this is the sleeve and this is the

little cuff so let's just the curb line

there and i think i'm going to put one

little eyelash showing right here that

makes it look like she's looking down

and let's just put a straight line here

to show the other side of the drawing

paper you see that so we have one line

here and another line right there and i

don't think i'll just put one more line

to complete the drawing right there

what's a little girl drawing Pappy well

do the body let's find out picture do

your stuff

yeah this is for you doodle back because

you're special wow I really special yep

nope happy if I am really so special I'm

gonna specular Ward's day and I didn't

even get an award what you didn't I

think I'm beginning to get the picture

huh hello everybody hello male bird now

bird are you sure you delivered all the

special awards today MA oh yes papy I

sure did all except this one that got

stuck in my mailbag bra just noticed it

in fact it's for you doodle by yes

little bun it says to a Doodlebug to the

best doodler in the land I would like to

take my mommy and I did and all the

people who helped like it excuse me

debug up the boys and girls and I have

to get back to the cabin so we can color

the picture we drew alrighty I'll see

everybody later MA bye Pappy see you

later oh my that is a lovely award you

can put that on the mantel back in the

door dude

welcome back happy Easter no bug okay hi

everyone yes Lily Doodlebug is doing

just fine now I'll explain more later

but first the girls and boys are ready

to color the picture me two together

does everybody have their crayons or

markers ready good we'll get to it drew

it okay Elmet now let's see let's start

with this color alright this is a

very nice color for hair

but remember you can choose any color

you wish just have fun

and enjoy coloring and use your own

imagination

here we go now i'm going to leave a spot

right here white i'm going to leave this

area white and same thing over here and

you'll see what that looks like now i'm

going to skip this space here and just

color that in like that

now the other side

there you see that by leaving that area

white it makes your hair very shiny and

that looks very good what I'm doing

something I enjoy at like drawing and

coloring I just relax and soon I start

to get fresh new ideas how about you

let's continue onward already yeah I

think I'll choose this color or her

headband and again I'm going to leave a

little highlight that little white spot

right there now I'm going to color in

her shirt just like so

what color did you choose Toby oh you

chose red nice color there we go now I'm

going to color in her sleeve right here

just like that no I think I'll just add

some stripes to her shirt one there and

another one there yeah we'll just put

another stripe right there and you could

add your own designs to your own drawing

I'm just choosing stripes for my drawing

just like that and another one there and

a couple there 12 and maybe one more

right there very nice now i'm going to

choose this color next and just color in

the little girl's face just like that

and I think I'll take my orange cran and

just go over the yellow just like so

and we'll just shade that in like that

and do the same on the little girl's

hand and we'll just add a little shadow

right below her hand by using a little

black just like that and I think I'll

just indicate some background like that

very nice yeah maybe a little bit right

there now let's have some fun and add

some of our own ideas I think I'll make

it look like she's in front of a desk so

I think I'll take my brown cran and just

Oh indicate a part of a gas like that

and you can do anything you'd like just

use your imagination now I'll just color

in the pencil and we're just ducking

this up a little bit here there that

about does it hold up your pictures nice

and high so I can see them great job and

I like the way some of you have added

your own special touches too I can see

that no two pictures look exactly alike

that's because there's something special

and unique and each of you that you

bring into your pictures and that's what

I love to see you know what that sound

means it's time to visit the Hall of

frames let's take a peek at some of the

terrific drawings you've been sending in
