01x07 - The Dangerous Dr. Dinosaur - Spider Takes a Bride

Post by bunniefuu »

From out of the pages of DC Comics comes

the world's newest and greatest

superhero, Plastic Man. He

can spring, he can stretch,

he can fly, he can bounce,

he can change his shape,

and he can even dance.

Each week, Plastic Man will face the

world's greatest collection of villains.

There's action. There's

comedy.

There's danger.

There's penny. There's bad

luck cooler.

There's plenty for everybody on the

Plastic Man Comedy Adventure Show.

Eat your heart out, eight men!

This can't be happening.

I dropped it in just in time. Good.

Just make certain I receive my

share. Sounds like it's working.

Well, I gotta go. I gotta...

A bank withdrawal to make. Everything is

going according to plan. Excellent.

I I tell you, it's a dinosaur. 50 feet

tall and getting bigger at every second.

here. It was a dinosaur. One of those

pteranoceros things. Honest, I saw it.

This one they'll never, never figure out.

Don't you worry none, little fella. I

mocked you fragile.

Oh, please, class, for me?I'd just

love a Kewpie doll. Well, I don't know,

Penny. Leave it to old fastball hula

hula. Here, hold my pineapple

milkshake.

Sorry, Plaz. This is what you call your

basic bad luck. Forget it, Hula.

Hawaiian milkshakes are my favorite.

Well, I guess it's up to me.

And a Kewpie doll for the little lady.

Oh, Plaz, you're perfect. Thank

you. Nothing to it. You know, Plaz?

I would just love to take a ride in the

Tunnel of Love. Okay. Here, let me know

how it is.

Well, that's the Chief calling. Come in,

Chief. Plastic Man, there was a robbery

last night at the industry bank. The

guards said that it was done by a

dinosaur. A dinosaur?

And we've got a report of another one at

the Jewel Mart right this minute. Get on

it. She's just

crazy about me. You can tell. I'm

summoning the plaster jet. The remote

device will have it here in a jiffy.

Suffering surfboards. Now that's

surface. Going up.

Head for the jewel, my penny.

Leafin' lava. It's a ptero-- ptero--

ptero-- Pterodactyl?Yeah, one of

those. Get ready to drop me off.

Watch it, you prehistoric pigeon! Get

on, little noggy! You're heading for the

last round-up!

I got him! I think.

Uh oh. I spoke too soon.

Sorry, ma'am. Slight miscalculation. What

happened?Well, a man got away with our

finest jewels while that that monster was

scaring everybody. Class?Where'd the

pterodactyl go?Well, your guess is as

good as mine, Penny. Leave it to me,

Plaz. I'll check with my contacts and

find out.

Right in here, baby.

Dr. Dinosaur's terrific. He even pays the

return postage.

Excellent. Even that infernal

plastic man couldn't stop them.

Toad, get in here. Yes, Dr. Dinosaur.

I was just feeding the Brontosaurus.

Never mind that now. I'm sending Rotten

Ralph a Stegosaurus. See that it

is prepared. Yes, sir. And Toad, I

have decided to press ahead with my

master plan. It will make

this look like a Sunday school picnic

by comparison.

Just left me off right here. I'll go meet

Joe and I'll be right back. OK. Now see

if he knows anything about the dinosaurs.

How Hula Hula know who Joe is?Well, they

have a secret password and countersign.

Yogurt. Never disco dancers. Benjamin

Franklin was a lousy pinball player. You

must be Joe. I'm Joe. You must be Hula

Hula. I'm Hula Hula. What do you hear

about those dinosaurs?A crook named

Rotten Ralph. He's got one of them. Gonna

use it tonight. Where is he gonna use it?

I don't know. What time?I don't know.

Where does he hang out?I don't know. How

do I reach him?I don't know. I have to

get you fired. Why not?I know too

much.

Okay, so Joe says Rotten Ralph's involved

in this. Rotten Ralph usually hangs out

at a place called the Swan Dive. Then

we'll have to go there and talk to him.

He won't talk to you. You're a good guy.

No, but he'll talk to Eel O'Brien.

Who's Eel O'Brien?I'm Eel

O'Brien.

Okay, this must be the place.

The name's O'Brien. Eel O'Brien.

And I'm the toughest guy in town. I play

rock music. That's not so tough. I

use real rocks. Umm Hey, boss, you want

me to teach some of these guys a lesson,

do you?Easy, mad dog. I'm looking for

Rotten Ralph. Done, Rotten Ralph. I hear

you're planning a job tonight. You could

use a new face like mine. What

for?It ain't Halloween. That's real

funny, Rotten. Only I'm too tired to

laugh. Laugh for me, mad dog.

That's enough. What kind of crimes

you specialize in?I take candy from

babies. Hmm, I'm impressed. Okay,

you're in. We make our move in an hour.

You and Penny, follow us. We'll get to

the power of this.

This is the mint. You can't

break in here. This place is like a

fortress. Relax. I got just the

thing here. I got it from a guy named Dr.

Dinosaur. I just have to give him half of

what we take in, and it's worth it for

this.

Now I'll start cleaning out the place.

Here, when the dinosaur shrinks down, you

put it in this box. I have to mail it

back to Dr. Dinosaur. Hmm,

mail it back to him.

Well, look what we have here.

Did you see that? That's how the

pterodactyl vanished. After the dinos do

that dirty work, they shrink. Penny, you

catch that one. We're going to make a

little switch in the package. Oh, it's

kind of cute, even if it is scaly. Hurry.

Help me get inside. We're going to mail

me back to Dr. Dinosaur.

You're a little big for this, you know.

Oh, it's Ralph. He's coming. Let's hide.

you should have taken care of the dino by

now. Now where did he go?

Oh well, at least he packed the dino up

before he cut out. Oh, I just hope

Plaz knows what he's doing. You aren't

the only one.

Very good protest. I have

trained you well for your next

assignment. The ship just delivered this

partial, Doctor. The Stegosaurus.

I dare say, Rotten Ralph got a good haul

from its use. Does that mean you're not

going to do the big plan?Silence.

All of this says just been a test for my

master plan.

Down to the Stegosaurus in the crater and

the other side of the island for now.

You still have a radar fix on Plaz?Yes.

We'll zero in on the honing device he has

on him. I just hope he's okay.

I wonder if it's safe to get out now.

I think I picked a bad time to get out.

Well, plus, here's another nice mess

you've gotten yourself into. Hello. Hi.

How are you?Sorry to

have to dash off, guys.

Ooh Now the only question is, where am

I?

It's only a matter of time until they

get him. I figured Plastic

Man would interfere, and soon he will be

Triceratops food. Now, to

the matter of money, you three have

brought the cash that my dinosaurs helped

you obtain. Right here. Let's split it

up. Split it up.

Hey. What's going on here?

Hey, you've got back. That's mine!

No, it isn't. It's mine.

And thank you, gentlemen, for doing all

the dirty work.

You double-crosser?We had us a

deal. Yes, we did. Well,

I just decided to cancel it.

Your half of the money will come in quite

handy. Toad!

Get ready to launch the master plan.

Master plan. Got it.

I wish I knew where I was. I haven't even

seen one gas station.

That sounds like the Plaster Jet. Maybe

because it is the Plaster Jet. The

tracking device at Plaz is somewhere

around here.

Found there! There he is! Oh, my precious

Plaz is safe and sound!

Plaz, we were so worried about you! My

rubber band, Romeo!I spotted a

building just over the hill. It must be

the hideout of Dr. Dinosaur. Come on,

we'll sneak up on him.

Hmm, maybe I should become a

supervillain. I'll bet then he'd notice

me.

All clear. Come on.

OK, Dr. Dinosaur, time for a

surprise. And the surprise is on

me. Well, what happened to your

partnership with Dr. Dinosaur? He took all

our money, packed up his dinosaurs, and

split. Do you have any idea where?

No. And if I did, I'd tell you my

word on it. Plus, look at this.

It's a little model of a city. Very

clever. And it's where he trains his

little dinosaurs. Hmm, recognize this

building?That's the White House. This

one's the Washington Monument. But

here's the Library of Congress. And

they've all been ripped off their

foundations and moved away. Of course.

Now the dinosaurs have been trained to

steal the buildings of Washington, D.C.

That must be where he's headed. Let's go.

Hey, wait! What about us?Don't

worry. We'll send some nice men in

uniforms to show you to a much larger

cell. He could have a hundred

dinosaurs with him, for all we know. And

you think he's going to turn them loose

in Washington?Oh, he has them trained to

rip up all the important buildings in the

town. Anyway, that's where we're headed,

Chief. Well, I'll alert the Washington

police. Good luck, plastic man. We'll

sure need it.

Oh, I can hardly wait. That's the last

one. Any minute now. Any minute

now, what?Plastic

Man. Dr. Dinosaur, I presume?

At last we meet Plastic

Man. How nice.

Sounds like you've got a slow leap there,

Doc. Where are the dinosaurs?All

over, Plastic Man. All

over Washington. I saved the

last one for you.

Now it's off to our hideout while

my dinosaurs steal

every landmark in the city.

Oh, poor class. Never mind me,

Penny. Follow Dr. Dinosaur. You heard the

superhero?Come on. That's

quite a grip you've got there.

Let's see if you're ticklish.

Now let's see about those dinosaurs.

Isn't that carrying souvenir collecting a

little far?Oh,

no.

I'm getting dizzy with all these dinos. I

won't be able to stop them, but

Dr. Dino can. Plaster Hula,

Plaster Hula. Hula,

Hula here. We tail duck the dinosaur to

the Madison Hotel, room 402. Good

work. I'm on my way. Ohh Shouldn't we

wait for players?I'm just going to sneak

a peek. That's right. I'm

selling them. No, I couldn't let the

Library of Congress go for less than

too high?Do you know how many

crooked millionaires would pay

anything for that building?Don't let him

spot you. Never.

Would you believe this is my unlucky day?

I'll teach you, spies.

I'd keep you in there for now.

I think it's time Dr. Dino had his

license revoked.

A couple of suction cups, and I'm on my

way. All right. My final

price, $6 million for the Pentagon. And

let's throw in a courthouse to be named

later. I'll enlarge the bronto

over by the Supreme Court. Hmm, it

might just work.

This will be the last one.

It should expand to a full

size any minute now.

Plastic men, how did that

brontosaurus get into my room?

Beats me. I told room service to send up

a hot turkey sandwich.

It's filling the room and still

growing. This is your fault, plastic

man. You can save us, Doc. Tell me how to

shrink tiny hair down. The blue lever.

Push it all the way back quickly. You're

the doctor.

Well, now that I know how it works, we

ought to be able to shrink all the dinos

down, right?

Penny. Oh, we're

glad to see you. Plas, where's Dr.

Dinosaur?He's gone. He thinks he's

getting away.

Astor. This ought to

do it. That

infernal cluster man.

Now, do you know what's in store for you?

I know. You're going to take

us to jail. Wrong. First,

you're going to have your Dinos put all

the landmarks back. Then you're going to

jail.

Well, all the buildings are back in

place. The Dinos have all been shrunk and

captured. The stolen money was recovered,

and all the crooks, including Doctor

Dino, are behind bars. It sounds like you

covered everything. Good work, plastic

man. Playa, here's that

box you asked me to pick up for you.

Good. Ola, I thought you'd like a

souvenir of this adventure. For me?Oh,

what could it be?What could it be?

It's a dinosaur!

Help! The dinosaurs are back!

Help! No, you had

to get him a pet lizard. Oh, gee, I

think they're kind of cute.

There's the embassy, boss. Stay here,

Hugo. I'm going down.

What's happening?You'll happen, Mr.

Ambassador.

Gotcha! If you need anything, just

give me a buzz.

For you, my love.

So far, you're ahead, Penny. Oh, just

luck, class. I've never played miniature

golf before. I feel a lucky streak

coming on.

What's the matter?Hula Hula matter. Look,

hey, it went in a hole in

one. The chief well

plastic man. I see you're puttering

around again Well, you know what they say

about all work and no play chief Well

while you were playing the spider

returned to his evil work the spider

I thought we put him away for good. He

escaped he broke into the Rococo

embassy turned the ambassador into a fly

and Left an announcement of his upcoming

marriage to the Queen of Rococo. I didn't

know the Queen was getting married

Neither did sheI want you to go to

Rococo immediately, find out what's going

on, and protect the queen at all

costs. You know me, Chief. Yes, but I

want you to go anyway. There are times I

feel I don't have the Chief's complete

confidence. It was

gracious of you to come, Plastic Man.

Well, now that I'm here, you won't have

to marry that big-winded spider.

Plastic pinhead. The spider. And

I've come for the Queen's answer. Never.

NeverDidn't I just say that?Looks like

you're gonna need a little friendly

persuasion. That's

my Minister of Agriculture. Was your

Minister of Agriculture, Your Highness?

That's only the beginning, Queenie. Marry

me, and I'll give you the anecdote.

Otherwise, you'll be the queen of the

flies. Quick, Hula Hula. You and Penny

get the minister into a jar before

somebody steps on him. I'm going after

the spider.

Get us out of here! Sure, boss. What's

the wedding?Never mind. Just move this

thing. What better way to catch a spider

than a bat?I

just hope that other superhero doesn't

get jealous. Hey, boss, we've been

followed by a plastic bat.

Spider, plastic bat's gaining on us.

My glue-glue will take care of him. I've

gotcha. Now to scoop you up.

Try to scoil that plastic

bat. This is what I call a sticky

situation.

The water. It's loosening the glue.

Sorry, fellas. I don't know why their

feathers are ruffled. I've lost the

spider.

Gee, boss, this is a great hideout.

Nobody ever think are looking for us

here. You're my

trouble, Hugo. You're not

taking me serious. Everybody thinks

me and Queenie getting married is a royal

joke. Not me, boss.

Naturally. Wait a minute.

This is it! The Queen's ministers are

getting together for a big meeting. I'll

change them all into flights. That'll

show Queenie the spider's intentions are

serious. Brilliant, boss.

Naturally.

Gentlemen, despite the tragedy which has

befallen our comrade, the Minister of

Agriculture, I don't believe the time has

come to panic.

It

distresses me greatly, my loyal subjects,

but this most unhappy event leaves me no

choice. I must marry the

spider. Failure.

She'll rule a Kingdom of flies. Can't

we do anything, players? We either need a

clue or a can of bug spray, Penny.

Something that'll lead up to the spider

before the wedding. If we get the spider

before the wedding, he's sure gonna be

stuck with a lot of leftover

announcements. That's it, Hula Hula. The

announcements. Whoever printed them must

have contact with the spider. Oh, Plas. I

do so admire a man of mental

prowess. Right. Now, all I have to do

is figure out who the printer is. That's

easy, Plas. The only printer in Rococo is

old Franklin Ben. You know him?

Sure. We used to exchange rare

manuscripts. Expect him in many minutes,

hula hula. You mean this Hugo is going to

pick up the invitations today?Yep.

The fact is, here he comes now. Penny,

you and Hula Hula stay out of sight in

the back. What are you going to do, young

fella?I think it's time for the old

telephone bit. When Hugo comes in, tell

him he has a phone call. Yeah, the

invitations. Just the way you wanted

them. Thanks. Wait.

What's the matter?Telephone.

It's for you. Oh, yeah.

This is the Queen's lady-in-waiting. It's

very important Mr. Spider meet with the

Queen tonight at her private cottage to

discuss the winning ceremony. I'll tell

'em! See ya! Boy,

I wouldn't want to be a professional

telephone. You were terrific, class.

Well, at least that ought to lure the

spider out of his web. Do you

think the spider will really believe I'm

the queen?Long enough for Plaz and me to

spring our trap. Ready, Plaz?All

set. When the spider gets directly under

me, just let go of the rope and I'll drop

on him. Pretty cagey, Plaz. Hey, you

queenie. Your financee is here

to discuss their wedding plans. Now,

Plaz!

Hey, you're not my betrothed.

It's a trap. Was a trap,

and not a very good one at that. Now

it's my time.

You go to shores.

The irony of being imprisoned in a

plastic jar. Man, my bad

luck. Oh, hula hula, you didn't do it on

purpose. Team, I've analyzed the

situation. Our problem is to get out of

this jar and not be flies anymore. We

know that, class. I haven't finished yet,

Penny. So, noting a tiny hole in the

lid of this jar, I am about to exorcise

my plastic powers. That van must be the

spider's secret hideout. Unless I miss my

plastic guess, that's where he keeps his

secret fly antidote.

Just as I thought, the antidote.

I've got the secret fly antidote. Quick,

Plaz, use it! No sooner said

than done.

That was close. Yeah, it was a bit

stuffy in that jar. But we've got more

pressing business. The wedding. Right,

Penny. We must stop it. And I have a

little plan that'll catch the spider in

his own web. Come on.

Do you, Mr. Spider, take Queen Catherine

to be your wedded wife?I do.

You don't. I know that plastic

force. Where are you, you vinyl viper?

Right under your feet, Spider. You'll

never get me, Plastic Man!

That's the end of the rug for you,

Spider. You caught

me! Naturally, snug as a bug in a

rug. You did well, Plastic

Man. Thanks, Chief. Yes, you never

cease to surprise me. Oh, well, Penny and

Hola Hola helped. I'm sure. The

important thing is the spider and Hugo

are in jail. And all the flies are back

to normal. Right. I'll see if I can't

make your next assignment insect-free.

Speaking of insects, there's a fly in

here. I'll get the fly, Swatter.

No, Hola. Remember, some of our best

friends were flies.
