[Charlie Brown] "Happy Birthday, Rerun."

[Woodstock chatters]

Ooh!

- Ah!
- Ah.

Ooh! [giggles]

[Charlie Brown] Come on, Snoopy.
It's time to go to Rerun's birthday party.

[gasps, laughs]

I think it's fun
to go to a little kid's birthday party.

They get so excited at that age.

Welcome, partygoers!

I'll be your party planner
for my little brother's big day.

I hope you're ready
for some well-organized fun.

Now then, party planner rule number one:

Nobody gets in without an invitation.

[gasps]

Check. Enjoy the party.

Make yourself at home.

[exclaims]

- [Lucy] Check. Enjoy yourself.
- [exclaiming]

All right, let's keep things moving.

Wait a minute!

You've got to be careful.
There are a lot of forgeries going around.

It all checks out.

Try the pink lemonade.

- [door closes]
- [yelps]

[panting, shouts]

[no audible dialogue]

Ah!

[snickers]

Happy birthday, Rerun.

Thank you.

Where's Snoopy?

Party's not a party
until Snoopy gets here.

He was with us earlier.
I'm sure he'll be back any minute now.

[Lucy] Okay, everyone.

I have a schedule to maintain.

I thought we'd start
with a little dancing.

Hit it, Linus!

[mid-tempo jazz music playing]

Who wants to dance the Charleston?

Maybe Charles likes the Charleston.

Hey, Chuck, where are you?

Uh-oh.

- [no audible dialogue]
- Snoopy?

- Snoop...
- Shh.

Still on schedule.

Hey! It's not cupcake time!

[groans]

[gasps]

[gasps]

- [Lucy] Snoopy!
- [gasps]

We need to talk.

Why does party planning
have to be so hard?

Where's Chuck?

And why doesn't anyone wanna dance?

Perhaps something
a little more contemporary, sir.

- Thank you.
- [music stops]

[up-tempo jazz music playing]

There you are, you sly dog. Let's dance!

[exclaims]

- [Lucy] Snoopy!
- [gasps]

I need to talk to you right this instant.

[screams] Dog germs!

Huh? Has anyone seen Chuck?

[Rerun] Charlie Brown.

Have you seen Snoopy yet?

I've been too busy trying not to dance.

I wish he would show up.

It just doesn't feel like my birthday
if he's not here.

Charlie Brown, where's your dog?

[Franklin] Hey, everyone!

- [record scratches]
- The next act is here!

[laughing]

Mimes make me uncomfortable.

[both laughing]

[exclaims]

That is kinda funny.

- [gasps]
- What is it? Something in my ear?

[gasps] For me?

Ta-da!

- Snoopy!
- [Lucy] Snoopy!

- [Snoopy gulps]
- There you are!

This time you're not getting away from me.

[shudders]

[Lucy] Everyone, go back to the party!

Snoopy and I have some things to discuss.

[door closes]

Snoopy!

[gasps]

Snoopy, please come back.

It's not a party without you!

[exclaims, laughs]

[gasps]

I love it! Thanks, Snoopy!

- [both laugh]
- Rerun, go home.

I need to talk to Snoopy
right this instant.

[shudders]

[sighs]

[sighs]

Okay, everyone. Time to celebrate.

Happy birthday, little brother.

[laughing] Snoopy!

[all cheering, laughing]

[both laughing]

[vocalizing]

[Charlie Brown] "Woodstock Flies South."

[birds chattering]

I wonder where those birds are off to.

They're flying south for the winter.

Why would they do that?

Each fall,
birds migrate in predictable patterns,

traversing great distances
to get to warmer climates.

They're going on vacation.

[Woodstock snoring]

[whimpers, yawns]

[yelps]

[straining]

[exclaims]

[grunting]

- [chatters]
- [mumbles]

[yelps]

[chatters]

[chuckles] Mmm.

[exclaiming]

[clattering]

[straining]

[static]

- [upbeat music playing on TV]
- [whistles]

[gasps]

[cartoon noises]

[both laugh]

[grumbling]

[music, static playing intermittently]

[grumbling]

[chatters]

[grunts]

[gasps, whimpers]

It looks like your friend's going south
for the winter.

Don't worry. He'll be back in the spring.

In the meantime, I'm sure you'll find
plenty of things to do

while your friend is gone.

Hmm?

Whee! Whoo-hoo!

[buzzer sounds]

[groans]

[groans]

[grunts]

[sighs]

Business is slow.
It's time to get some new customers.

[panting]

Looks like you're in need of
some professional advice.

What seems to be the problem?

I need to find a better location.

That's odd.

Birds are supposed to fly south
for the winter, not walk.

Maybe he can't afford the flight.

- [laughing, sighs]
- Good one, sir.

[gasps] Ooh!

[Snoopy snickering]

Ugh! I'm not cleaning that up!

Hey! No wild animals allowed in the house!

[sighs]

Huh?

[growls, shouts]

[Woodstock straining]

[wind whistling]

I see you're still having
a hard time letting go.

You're not going to stop him, Snoopy.
Winter's almost here.

Look. Even the puddles are freezing over.

[rapping]

Hmm...

[laughs]

[wind howling]

[chatters]

[Woodstock yelps]

[shivering, whimpering]

- [seagulls crying]
- [sighs]

[Snoopy whimpers]

[sighs]

Huh?

[chatters]

[blows raspberry, chatters]

[both sigh]

I thought you said
the birds were going on vacation.

I did, sir.

But never underestimate
the power of advertising.

[vocalizing, chattering]

[Charlie Brown] "Pogo Champ Lucy."

[grumbles]

Why so anxious, Lucy?

I'm expecting a package.

Oh. There's, uh,
something on the front stoop.

Why didn't you say so?

You didn't ask.

I've been waiting for this all day.

How interesting.

Is it a treasure map?
Or a famous work of art?

Or perhaps an answer
to one of the big mysteries of life.

It's something of even greater importance.

Well, don't just stand there!
Help me open it!

A pogo stick is of great importance?

It is to me.

Once everybody sees what a natural expert
I am on the pogo stick,

everyone will follow me.

All great leaders have a following.

I didn't know you were
an expert on the pogo stick.

I'm an expert at everything.
Besides, how hard can it be?

[screams]

Hmm. Southeast.

A prime pogo-sticking breeze.

Good, solid foundation. Minimal slope.

Attention, future followers!

Gather around.

Behold, the pogo queen!

I said gather!

Please hold your applause until the end.

[all gasp]

- [all] Ooh.
- [Franklin] Neat!

[shouts]

- [crashes]
- [all gasp]

Ugh! It was clearly too windy.

[shouts]

[crashes]

This pogo stick is obviously defective.

I'm going inside to write a strongly
worded letter to the manufacturer.

Follow me, secretary.

That would be you.

Oh. Right.

[chuckles]

- Look at you, Snoopy!
- [Sally giggles]

- [chuckles]
- That looks like fun!

[laughs]

[Rerun] Tag, you're it! [laughs]

Count me in!

[grunts]

[children laughing]

Wait for me!

[all laughing]

To whom it may concern,

Recently I purchased
one of your "super bouncy" pogo sticks,

and I am disappointed.

- [children laugh]
- [bouncing]

It was neither super nor bouncy.
It was defective!

Let me also add...

- [children laugh]
- [bouncing]

What is that sound?

I can't concentrate on my complaining
with all that racket.

Don't write that part down!

[laughing]

Wow! Looks like Snoopy has
quite the following.

[grumbles]

- Now, that's talent.
- Look at the height he's getting.

Excuse me. Is that my pogo stick?

Snoopy, you're amazing!

He's only amazing
because I loosened the pogo stick for him.

Give it back.

[grunts]

Helmet.

[chuckles]

When everyone sees me,
they'll know who the true pogo champ is.

Wh-Wh-Wh-Whoa!

Shouldn't you be bouncing?

Isn't it obvious what happened?

That silly dog broke it.

Secretary!

Apparently I'm being summoned.

Where was I? Oh, yes.

I regret to say
that your pogo stick is only fit for...

- [children, Snoopy laughing]
- a dog.

Ugh! That pesky beagle's
trying to make me look bad!

I'm going to give him a piece of my mind.

Whew! This secretary deserves a break.

[growls]

- [children laughing]
- [Charlie Brown] Way to go, Franklin!

- [Sally] You're doing it!
- [Franklin] Yeah!

But how are you doing that?

I learned it from Snoopy.

[growls] Don't just stand there!
Do something!

I would, but I'm on my break.

Keep my head up. Got it, coach.

[children laughing]

I'm surprisingly young to be doing this!

Even my baby brother can do it!

- I couldn't have done it without Snoopy!
- Yay!

- [children cheering, laughing]
- [Rerun] Boing. Boing. Boing.

- [bouncing]
- [children laughing]

[Snoopy] Huh?

[groans]

It's no fair.

Bouncing on the pogo stick was
something I was supposed to be good at.

I'm doing it! I'm actually doing it!

Even Charlie Brown is better than I am.

- [Charlie Brown screams]
- [clattering]

Almost.

[sighs]

[whistle blows]

[whistle blowing]

[grunting]

[whistle blowing continues]

[laughs]

[grunts]

You can do this.

[gasps]

[all cheering]

Thanks, coach.

- Way to go, Lucy! You're doing it!
- [cheering, laughing]

[whimpers]

[all laughing]

Linus, start a new letter!

To whom it may concern, I love it!
