Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home (2025)

Post by bunniefuu »

This programme contains

strong language.

OZZY: Do you know what you're doing?

SHARON: Where's the key?

It's in there. Oh, yeah.

Which one is it for drive?

All the way down?

All the way up, go into H.

Yeah. All the way up. It says H.

Now, you have to press quite a bit

on the gas.

And it's, uh... Once you...

I got it, I got it!

Sharon, don't!

Stop it. Stop. Stick...

SHARON SCOFFS

Don't drive. Get out.

SHARON LAUGHS

How the f*ck did you do that?

Ozzy!

Do you want to leave now?

I used to make a record, go on

a promotion tour, then finish that -

I'm f*cking jetlagged.

Take a couple of weeks off,

start the whole process again.

Do you want a quiet life now?

No. Yes, but no.

Cos we was... We're never quiet.

But aren't you fed up with

the drama?

Well, it comes with the territory,

doesn't it?

Yeah, we're eccentric, we're loud,

we're outspoken,

but we're quite normal,

we're quite boring, really,

when it comes down to it.

I wouldn't say we're f*cking normal.

DOORBELL RINGS, DOGS BARK

k*ll, k*ll!

KELLY: Hi, Papa!

Good morning! Good morning!

I love you, Papa. Mwah. Ha-ha!

Hee-hee-hee-hee! Morning, Angel.

JACK: What are you talking about?

He's got four girls! Thanks for

telling him now. Yeah, thanks.

DOG BARKS

This is it, our last chapter.

It will be nice

just to be on our own.

It will just be very low-key

with Ozzy, you know.

I like that.

I've retired four times.

Well, how can you retire

from the entertainment game?

It's what we do, it's what we...

So how can you stop entertaining?

My mum and dad should not be getting

out of bed to do any sort of work,

but I will say

I don't think it's possible

for either one of them

to retire ever.

I don't want to do anything,

actually.

Just want to live.

I'm not going to start

collecting stamps or anything.

PRODUCER: Do you think you'll end up

playing board games and...?

Board games?! f*ck off! f*ck off!

f*cking board... Board games?

Jigsaws.

f*ck that.

I'm not that f*cking old.

PRODUCER LAUGHS

KELLY: Are you OK?

OZZY PRETENDS TO RETCH

Come on. Oh, my God.

Urrrgh!

WEAKLY: Don't forget to put

the cat out.

Shut up.

Time just flies by.

And the older you get,

the faster it goes.

Look, it's Thursday already.

SHARON LAUGHS

My intention from the beginning

was to go back to England.

It's... It's where I was born.

I've travelled the world

so many f*cking times,

and I started off in England

and I want to go back to England.

So, they're going to move back to

England permanently

to a huge, f*ck-off big house

in the middle of the countryside -

you know, the house that they've had

forever - you know, pushing, what?

30-something years.

I want to go back to my house.

I haven't been in my house for ages.

In that house,

the kids grew up there.

That house has got a lot of memories

for me.

Mum, that little scratch.

I know, I know.

I know they're really excited,

but I think this move is going

to make them really sad

because of leaving the grandchildren

and their children.

You know, it's scary to start fresh

in the way that they're doing it.

I'm not a f*cking American.

Never wanted to be an American.

You want to know why I want to

go back to England?

Because I want to go back to

f*cking England.

Know where I'm going to put my g*n,

Sharon? Under the bed.

SHARON: Wherever you want to put it.

KELLY SCREAMS

Why don't you shut the f*ck up?

Oh! Hey! Hey, hey, hey!

You've got to understand

where I'm coming from.

I love you all.

I love you more than life itself.

You're all f*cking mad.

CHEERING

I didn't realise the difference

between being a rock star

and someone who's well-known on TV.

It's a completely different world.

Post-Osbournes, we all kind of just,

like, scattered,

and 20 years later,

it's like we're back together again.

Do you want the fire on?

No. No!

SHARON SCOFFS

It's freezing in here!

Are you cold? I'm always cold, Jack.

You know, we've all changed

and grown up a lot.

Jack's got four daughters,

I have a son.

We do have our own lives, but...

..the best life we have

is when we're together.

All right, we're starting in

three, two, one.

I'm Ozzy. I'm Sharon.

I'm Jack. And I'm Kelly.

That's the Osbournes here, folks.

Yeah, Osbourne podcast, and we're

back after a five-year hiatus.

We have yourself a new Grammy winner

right there. You got...

Yes! ..Best Rock Album of the Year.

SHARON AND KELLY APPLAUD

Two, I got. You got two this year.

Is that encouraging for you

when you win Best Rock Album?

Yeah, it is, but at the same time,

it... it... it pisses me off

cos I know that's as far

as I can go with it for now.

I mean, I got the award,

but I couldn't do a gig right now.

Where are you at with your health?

How are you feeling?

Like, what's your...?

My lower back is...

There's nothing left of it.

Right now, I'm in a lot of pain

and I'm in a lot of discomfort.

And you have to have another

surgery, you're saying? Yeah.

So, this'll be surgery number four?

OZZY AND SHARON: Yeah.

Yes, Kelly? Your hand is up.

I made a mistake. With what?

Letting Lemmy in here.

Why? What's he doing?

He's covered in sh*t.

Oh, I hate that dog.

When I was 69, I can vividly

remember me thinking to myself,

I'm 69 and I don't feel that bad.

Soon as I turned 70,

the f*cking trap doors opened.

I can't walk very far

without getting out of breath.

I used to work out all the time

and I can't do it now.

I used to do an hour

on an elliptical every day.

Ozzy's Parkinson is

what they call Parkin-2,

and it's something that actually

comes on very, very young,

but it's so slight you don't notice.

But after his spinal accident,

it kind of brought it on.

Ozzy got up in the middle of

the night to go to the bathroom,

and coming back,

he tripped and just...

..hit the floor so hard.

I instinctively knew

I'd done some damage.

And I lay on the floor and I said,

"Sharon, get an ambulance.

I think I've broken my neck."

Say that's your spine

and you've got fluid here and here,

and it protects the spine.

And there was no fluid

at one point of his spine,

and so he had to have surgery

to try and open up his spine

so there would be fluid,

cos you could become a paraplegic.

It knocks the crap out of you

and you've just got to keep going

because it's like...

It's like I've got to start

everything from the word go again.

The best possible outcome is that

I'm fit enough and strong enough

to do shows.

The worst possible outcome

is I can't do shows.

CROWD CHANTING: Ozzy! Ozzy!

MUSIC: Iron Man

by Black Sabbath

I am Iron Man!

When I'm performing, I have a job

to get them kids going crazy,

and that's what I like to do.

MUSIC: Paranoid

by Black Sabbath

I can't f*cking hear you!

It's the only thing

that I've ever done

that's made me feel a bit important,

you know.

When I was at school,

I couldn't concentrate, you know.

I'm dyslexic.

I'm a poor reader.

And it was just frustrating for me

as a kid.

If my father hadn't gone into debt

to get me a microphone and a PA,

I wouldn't be here.

And my father

had an indoor toilet built.

He loved a task.

And he'd come home with his potions

from work

and put the f*cking thing

on the wall, put the tiles on it,

and it would fall off again, and he

would come home with another thing.

But in the end, it worked.

He would... He was... He...

He was determined to fix.

That's where I get my determination

from, I think.

I always, always told Ozzy,

"When you're 70, we say goodbye.

"It's enough."

He was 70 when we announced

the Farewell Tour.

He started it

and couldn't finish it.

PHYSIOTHERAPIST: Hello, my friend.

OZZY: Hello.

Can you lean forward a little bit?

Today, make the walking

as smooth as possible,

as quick as possible

and as safe as possible.

We're going to stand up, we're going

to walk towards that foam roll,

turn and sit back down.

We're going to time it

from the moment

that you try to get up

from the chair.

OK? Go.

Turn around. Yep.

Great, 8.16.

How did that feel for you? Good.

Good?

So, now we're going to do

our electrodes.

Mm-hm.

What I think that thing,

I get the impression,

my brain picks up the muscles that

need to be worked to walk correctly.

Is that right? You're close.

What happens is, your brain, uh...

I ain't got one of them.

THERAPIST LAUGHS

Your brain triggers the muscles

to move. Mm.

The machine picks up that signal,

assists you in that movement... OK.

..and then the repeated movements

essentially creates better pathways

from your brain down.

OK. You're retraining your brain.

Yeah, you're retraining your brain,

correct.

Ready? Yep. Go for it.

Now you are becoming Iron Man.

Make sure your steps are big, OK?

Bigger steps.

Understand.

You need to stop right now?

No, no, no, we'll keep going.

OK. Great. One more minute.

Perfect.

CHEERING

How did it feel? Good. Perfect.

So, earlier, when we first

tested it, it was 8.16.

Yeah. I can do a bit faster now.

You want to try to do faster

than that? Yeah.

OK, let's do one more time. OK?

Ready... go.

I mean, I'm determined.

Safely, though, safely.

By hook or by crook,

I'm going to make it.

You definitely did faster that time.

HE LAUGHS

Yeah, you shaved off

almost a full second

from when we first started today.

Yeah? So, it's at currently 7.38.

That's not bad for an old fart.

I think it's pretty good!

Should we talk about the dogs,

Michael?

Because that's something

that's weighing on my mind.

With the dogs in your car,

you could make it to England

by the time we got there.

All of the dogs?

DOGS BARK

All of the dogs, and three cats.

But, see, the thing is,

private plane or no private plane,

no plane's going to take nine dogs

and three cats.

We don't know that.

We haven't asked. My advice is...

You can book 'em

on separate flights.

If you had a private jet,

would you rent it out to somebody

that had nine dogs and three cats,

pissing and sh1tting?

Your dogs, no, because I have flown

with Rocky

and it's up there with, like, my

top ten worst moments from my life.

THEY CHUCKLE

BARKING CONTINUES

The gym... The pool?

..the pool and your art room.

So it'll be just like the way it was

before, without anything done to it?

No, there'll be big holes

and diggers and whatever.

OK.

But the house will be done. OK.

Nice, cosy. Just us.

Yeah.

I'm going back to England

and I'm just getting the house

ready for us to go back.

I want it to be right for him.

I want everything to be right.

CIRCULAR SAW WHIRS

I'm on the second team of builders.

The extension won't be finished

till the summer.

Um, they're finishing up some

panelling in the front of the house.

Sharon! Yes!

Hello! How are you?

Very well.

Welcome to the building site.

Come on, let's have a look.

Have a look at

your new bits and pieces.

Ozzy can't live in a house unless

it's got fires or a log burner,

cos he's, like, fire-mad.

This is Ozzy's study.

It's full of

Ozzy's favourite things.

Lots of oddities.

These strange, ugly dolls

over there.

Couple of bats.

And it's just strange he's not here.

He is very romantic.

He still leaves me little notes.

You know, I'll open a drawer

and there's a little note from him.

And I always wanted to put a lake in

and it would be,

"Oh, next year,

we'll do it next year."

And I thought, now it's the time.

I just love what a lake does.

I love looking at the water,

and it brings in animals.

We've always referred to this

as home.

We just thought that

it would be for about five years

and then we'd come back.

That's why we never, ever

sold the house.

This was Kelly's room.

I mean, I never wanted to change it.

I just can't do it.

It's all cracking and everything.

I've got to get it fixed.

I'm going to be one of those

mad old women

that I'll come up here and it'll

still be the same in ten years.

When I look out of the window,

I just go back to

when the kids were little

and they used to camp outside there

and, you know,

do fires in the evening

with their dad.

And Jack and his dad

would dress up as soldiers,

go marching into the forest,

and all of that comes back.

Yeah. Great, great memories.

Really good memories.

I don't want to be buried in America.

The cemetery is called Forest Lawn.

It's, uh... It's kind of weird.

It's like a... the McDonald's version

of a cemetery.

Ozzy, for f*ck's sake.

I'm so looking forward to

an English summer.

Wimbledon.

SHARON LAUGHS Wimble...

We always tour here in the summer

and then we would just go home

for Christmas.

Yeah.

And when I went back, cos it was

already, like, the end of the year,

blistering cold weather.

I have lots of memories of

when I'd made some marijuana cake,

I went to the pub and the vicar

came round and had some of the cake!

He was f*cked up.

He was f*cking stoned.

He thought he had the flu.

My dad found out he had Parkinson's

and it did shift everything

into perspective.

I always thought

my dad was invincible, but...

..Iron Man wasn't really

made of iron.

Mwah!

BABY SID COOS

Mwah.

Yeah, it sucks seeing Dad in pain.

SID SNEEZES

Bless you!

It's horrible.

Just makes you feel helpless.

WHISPERING: Let's go see Papa

downstairs.

Hi, Dada.

Hello, Sid!

Hello, little Sid!

Kch! Kch!

It is hard. It's hard to watch

somebody you love...

..be uncomfortable in any way.

152 over 86.

He doesn't like people seeing him

like this.

Like, if we go to a restaurant

for dinner,

that walk from the maitre d's desk

to our table

is like a walk of shame for him,

because everybody looks at him.

He doesn't want people to pity him.

He doesn't want people to

stare at him like that.

You OK? Yeah, I'm all right.

You can't be him

without people staring.

He's Ozzy Osbourne.

But... they were staring at him

as a wild man before,

and I think that that is something

that he kind of almost got off on.

He liked that, he liked that

people thought he was crazy,

and now he thinks people pity him

and he f*cking hates it.

Maple, can you say hi?

Can you say hi?

Maple, say hi.

Yay! Good job.

SHE GURGLES

Yeah.

It's the first time

that we've actually got

all five grandchildren together.

This hairbrush is sh*t for your hair

too.

Sorry, I shouldn't swear,

but you know...

Ozzy unfortunately can't come

because of his back,

and he's lying down.

I heard moans and groans during

the night when he'd turn over,

making pain noises, so...

He's upset that he can't see

the five of them all together.

Oh, Maple!

How are you?

My angel! Hi!

SHARON LAUGHS Nana!

Oh, Andy-Pandy! Oh, Minnie...

Er, Pearly. Sorry.

Hi! Hi! What's going on?

No!

Are you...? You literally...

No, don't... Look at her!

You literally f*cking walk

in this house

and you start looking at

"what can I tidy".

She's trying to unpack.

I know, I can't help it!

How are you doing at school?

Good. Good?

KELLY: Have you been working on

your numbers and letters?

MINNIE: A...

B, C, D, E...

You can sing it. E, F...

Where's Dad today?

He's not good today. Not good.

He's not good today. Yeah?

Really not good. One of those days?

Yeah.

And where's Welders at?

How long till it's liveable?

June 1, they're meant to be

everybody out of the house,

but not the extension.

They'll still be working on...

Yeah, the extension's going to take

another year, isn't it? Yeah.

I think the worst thing is that

it's so f*cking far away.

Not having them right here

is going to be really difficult,

because whenever you're just

having a sh*t day

and you just need a hug

from your mum,

I won't be able to do that.

The reality of the situation is,

is that we're not going to be able

to do stuff like this,

and that's the downside, but...

Oh, yeah. I mean, look.

How easy is it just to pop by?

And all those things will be gone,

cos you can't just pop by.

But at the same time, when we do

get together, it will be... Special.

..special, and also all the time

we'll be together.

Emotionally, it's... I think it's...

It's going to be difficult for sure.

Love you, little Andy. Love you.

I love you too.

I can't spend a lot of time there.

You know, it's like I can go over,

I can...

Realistically, I can bring my kids

over there once a year.

Nearly as tall as me.

You learn things from

your grandparents, you know,

and just having the ability to have

a kind of closeness and a rapport

with their grandparents is...

It's priceless.

Honestly, what breaks my heart

is thinking about

you and Pearl's relationship.

You guys are so close,

and then that's like,

"Bye, see you once or twice a year."

No, it's not going to be that, Jack.

But it's...

It would never be once, twice a year

with the kids, ever.

But how can it be any other way?

And, as I say,

we don't have unlimited time

with you guys as parents.

You guys would want to

spend less time with us now.

Like, what are the memories

that jump into mind?

Just bringing the family up there.

There's going to be no family there,

though.

You're remembering a time at

Welders that is drawing you back

to, like, when we were all kids

running around the fields,

riding quad bikes, having friends

over - like, a family in that house.

I feel when I get into that house...

..I feel at home. Yeah.

I feel it's where I belong.

Yeah, I mean, it's a great house.

No denying it.

There's a lot of good memories

there, there's a lot of... you know.

I don't think you'll ever accept it.

But we've moved half our life

over there already.

Yeah, no, I... You're...

You're too far to pump the brakes

and re-evaluate.

I get that.

It just comes at a hefty price.

Every major decision does, Jack.

Yeah.

And, you know, it...

Ultimately, it's down to

your father's happiness.

Billy! Hello.

Hello! Hello!

What brings you here? How are we?

Hello, William. Oh, it's me.

How are you? I'm all right.

Are you all right? Good to see you.

Yes! Not for much longer, either.

You're leaving me. I don't like it.

Yeah, but you'll be over in England

before you know it. I hope so.

Here we go again, Billy.

BILLY LAUGHS

Are you ready for this? Yeah.

This is Ozzy Speaks

on SiriusXM Channel 38.

I'm Billy Morrison.

And I'm Ozzy Osbourne.

You ARE Ozzy Osbourne.

How are you, mate?

I'm... I'm battling through it.

I have good days and bad.

I'm on a bit of a downturn.

If I'm wanting to get up,

I don't feel great.

And it's like, I'm so pissed off.

I've seen surgeons, doctors,

hospitals.

Obviously, you pulled out of

the festival. Yeah.

What people have to realise is

before you had that surgery,

you were agreeing to do it.

It took me eight weeks to

get over the surgery.

This blood clot thing

starts happening. Yeah.

So, I just thought, "I ain't going to

be able to make this."

I'm just very disappointed

cos I really would have liked to

have done that gig.

When the timing is right,

it's going happen,

but this is not the right timing -

that's it.

If you're an Ozzy fan

and you're disappointed in me

not doing the show,

I'm sorry, but I tried everything

under the sun to get ready.

I've got to say to

all the listeners,

this guy is working so hard

to get fit again.

I hate cancelling shows.

I hate throwing the towel in.

I'm not that kind of a guy.

What I tell him and what I believe

is, "You'll get there."

He's the strongest person I've

ever met, physically and mentally.

When he says he's coming back,

he's scared that his fans

aren't ever going to believe him.

He doesn't want his legacy to be

that his live show part of him

just ended the way it did.

He wants that opportunity to

say goodbye to his fans properly.

g*n FIRES

You've only got to move

a tiny bit and it goes out.

I make my own targets.

That's why I make it difficult.

This is another thing

that I just zone out on.

Oh. I'll be spending my birthday

in England. Wow, yeah.

Go nuts for about a week,

get all the toys out.

But most of my toys have gone now.

My toys were quad bikes.

I'm not allowed on one any more.

We had some fun on them. We used to

have fun, a lot of fun, me and Jack.

On what?

What?

SHARON LAUGHS

You used to have a lot of fun

on what? Quad bikes. Oh, God.

I'm excited.

It's just time to go home.

Ozzy's like,

"Well, what are we going to do?

"What do we do with ourselves?"

I had a head full of monsters

last night. What?

I had a head full of monsters

last night.

A head full of monsters? Mm-hm.

g*n FIRES

I know.

Ozzy... Ozzy's imagination

gets him at night,

and his head starts... going over

things and over things.

Do you know what I do?

It's really weird.

I... I'll go through the day

and there's things that I'm... I'm

alert about or I'm unhappy with.

But I'll review the day

when I'm lying down, like,

"Oh, I actually

could've handled that better."

You know.

It's chronic anxiety.

And Ozzy's thoughts

are always... dark.

They're always dark.

It's never the cup's half full,

it's always half empty. And it's...

Shut up!

SHE LAUGHS

He's a lot happier than he's been

in a while.

But Ozzy's so used to thinking about

the next tour and the next record,

and when you've been on that wheel

for 50-odd years,

your head knows nothing else.

So, now he doesn't have that,

it's like he just

worries about everything,

and now it's just flipped

to... general life things.

The one thing I cannot stand

is funerals.

I don't go. Really, they f*ck me up.

I don't think

anybody likes funerals.

Anyway, let's talk about moving

and not death.

HE CHUCKLES

I don't believe in heaven or hell.

I think heaven and hell is here.

Sometimes it's heaven,

sometimes it's hell.

Well, when I was 20, I used to

say I'll be dead before 40,

and that was all right

till I was 39 and a half.

I used to worry about dying more

then, in those early days,

than I ever do now.

I don't know,

the things I've done to my body,

I should be f*cking dead anyway.

It's taken a long time to get

this place where we're at now.

I'm in quite a good frame of mind

these days.

Look at this little b*stard.

These little things bite you.

Those little spiders.

I'll k*ll 'em for you, love.

Don't worry.

Um... how many have you shot, Ozzy?

A few.

Those little ones at the bottom.

How can you see those?

Gift.

SHARON SCOFFS

I'm blind. I can't see anyway.

I'll go and check to see

how bad I am.

Do you want your cane? No.

Ozzy, over the last ten years,

he's changed an awful lot.

He got sober again...

..quit drinking and drugs.

It's not bad.

He bettered himself morally.

Not bad.

The damage that certain things

you do, how it affects other people.

Oh, well done, Ozzy.

I'd fall down stairs.

I'd f*cking end up in a bed

with somebody else.

My whole existence was around

how much I could get drunk.

I made a bunch of mistakes,

fair share of fights,

and Sharon... has never

given up on me.

That's great.

Yeah.

Well done.

That's really good.

Is your neck hurting? Yeah.

Love takes time.

If you both love each other,

you don't get off the horse

at the first jump.

You run the course.

Wherever she goes I'm going...

..be it on this plane or the next,

cos I can't live without this woman.

I really can't.

And then Geezer come up with

the name Black Sabbath.

And the rest is history.

The football ground from

where I was starting life here.

My house where I grew up

is literally a third of a mile

from the villa ground.

It's that close you could hear

the crowd where we lived.

I just want a chance to thank them,

the fans,

cos my fans are like a religion,

you know.

The best audience in the world,

a British audience,

and it's given him

something to look forward to.

I just hope it's OK.

I want to do a good show.

I want to do as good a show as I can.

We've got the biggest artists

in the world coming -

g*ns N' Roses, Metallica,

Pantera, Tool, Steven Tyler.

It's a celebration for Sabbath,

who started it,

and it's a celebration for Ozzy

saying thank you to everybody.

He just has to enjoy it.

It's the last gig. It is, this is it.

This is goodbye.

You know, I physically can't do it

any more.

The current state of play is

the builders are still

doing the extension,

but our actual house, the original

house is ready to move back into.

The decorators are just doing

some finishing touches.

The last bits of furniture

are going in.

I have no idea how big this lake is,

but I know it's big enough

to have a rowboat in it.

Amy just sent me something

on Welders House.

Well, yeah, it's a...

She was looking up the history,

and it was built for this guy.

I got it all wrong, of the history

of the house.

Anyway, it was built for

the governors

of St Luke's Hospital For Lunatics

in London.

BILLY: Perfect!

What?! So I got

my own lunatic asylum? You have!

I finally got my own lunatic asylum,

and I was led to believe

it was a mansion, a rock mansion.

Thank you!

BILLY LAUGHS

Who calls it...? Who says...?

Only my wife would buy me

a lunatic asylum!

Did they really have, like,

"St Luke's Hospital For Lunatics"

outside?

I thought it looked a bit official.

It was always criminally insane.

You can't put lunatics

in your f*cking title. No!

All this lot here, that's over here,

is Ozzy's clothes

waiting to be packed.

All this lot.

Like, ten cases here

and I think there's four out there.

This lovely mess in here,

everything that's in here...

..is going to be given away.

Where's the bag?

Where did we put it? Oh, here it is.

Hey! Hey, are you going to put them

in here?

Good boy.

Between Sid and I and the baby

unpacking everything that we pack,

it's been... a lot.

Please get out of there,

you've already pissed in here.

Oh, no, it's actually really bad.

Mother...

Why did you do that?

Urrrgh!

SHOUTING: And she's shat

in my f*cking suitcase!

I'm going to throw up.

This is like living in

a f*cking insane asylum.

SHE GASPS

And I've stepped in it.

Nothing f*cking changes

in this house.

All right, I've got to get

some disinfectant...

..and a new pair of f*cking socks.

All the cupboards are full,

and I have to sort through

everything I'm taking.

Want a black bag?

SHE CHUCKLES

Look at all this shite.

And most of the stuff we're taking

is Ozzy's.

I never give anything of Ozzy's

away, ever.

Do you mind? It's my drink!

Not any more.

Guess what she did this morning.

What?

sh*t and pissed

in my packed suitcase.

Oh, fantastic. There you go.

And then I stepped in it.

What? And then I stepped in it.

Then you... Oh. Mm-hm.

Are you excited to go back?

I don't know, I wouldn't say excited.

I'm kind of scared to go back.

I know what you mean.

It's like...

I'm so used to being over here now,

but I've got to go back.

You know, I've got a house there,

and Sharon's...

Your mum said it's beautiful.

Oh, my God, Dad,

you're going to love it so much.

So, I've got to get ready

and go to the airport. All right.

I'll miss you. I love you.

I love you more.

It's Ozzy's decision

whether he wants

to spend the rest of his life there

or here.

Home is where both of us are.

As long as he's with me,

I'm all right.

We're so used to

being... running after the kids.

We don't know what it's like to be

with ourselves, you know,

to be with each other.

You know what?

I can't wait till I'm there.

The lake is amazing.

It's f*cking magnificent.

You know, it all lights up at night

and everything.

It's really, really beautiful.

And the trees have all grown so much

since the last time I was here.

Are there ducks in there now?

Yes, they're all here. Look.

Oh, yeah, there they are.

Look at them.

Where did they come from?

They just came naturally

and then decided to stay

and have their babies.

They just came on their own?

All on their own

and decided to stay.

I hope nobody f*cking shoots them.

No...

Who the hell's going to sh**t them,

Ozzy?!

Can you see how lovely

and clean the lake is?

Yeah, yeah.

Look, look at this one coming up.

It's out of water.

Look.

I could go down there

and set up camp.

My fishing pole one day. Yeah.

It was just like...

SHE EXHALES

Like this... I could breathe.

It's our little piece of heaven.

All you hear are birds,

a little bit of our dogs barking,

um, Ozzy screaming.

I want to get some more deer

cos you know they've been dying off

cos they're so old now.

Get more then. I will.

Look at them.

They're all coming up, look.

Get the g*n ready.

Stop it with the g*n!

I feel like I'm finally home.

This is my home.

It's a beautiful view

of the house there. It is.

It looks magnificent, Sharon.

It looks really good.

Beautiful house, love.

All right, do you want to go back

or stay? Stay.

That's what we want. Yeah!

It's a beautiful place here.

Do you know where this was? No.

On the QE2 going to Live Aid.

f*cking QE2, '80s? I don't remember.

There's me and Kelly in the bath.

KELLY: Oh, look!

All of our family are here

for the show in Birmingham,

and it's so important to us all

that we're all together.

Is that you dressed up

in some crazy gear?

It's about 44,000 capacity,

Aston Villa,

and we had over

three million requests for seats.

It is all '80s.

That's a real '80s. Mm-hm.

I'm finally looking through...

JACK: Yeah, little snapshots in time.

People don't do this any more.

Well, the gig is going to be closure

for me.

We're sort of finishing the picture.

Who's that?

That's your dad.

My...? That's not my dad.

It is your dad.

Your sister sent it.

It's not my dad.

I've never seen this photo before.

No, I know you haven't.

Your sister sent it.

That's my uncle Jim.

That's my dad! f*cking hell.

I have never seen this picture

before.

I feel bad that I never seen

more of him.

He was ill for a lot of years.

All that time he was ill,

you weren't...

We were in America all that time.

Yeah.

My dad, I can't believe it.

There's your mum.

She's a good-looking girl. Mm-hm.

That's my dad. That's Dad.

Jack. He was a good bloke, Sharon.

I know he was.

He was a good man.

If it wasn't...

I'll tell you what.

If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't be

sitting in this house today.

I know.

I often think about him, you know.

I mean, with all these awards

and things I'm getting,

it's a climbing Birmingham world.

I wish he was here today to see it.

I know you do, darling.

I haven't sung on stage

for over six years.

It'll probably be very emotional

cos it's my last hot hell ride,

you know.

SHARON LAUGHS

What the f*ck is this?

Oh, let me explain.

That's crap.

That is art. Look.

"Ozzy," and they've put

the bullhorns on

from the bull on the station.

Right? It's not... It's useless.

f*cking joke.

Thank you.

Um, Back To The Beginning,

and then Villa Park.

Not really fond of that.

You're not fond of it? Weird...

No, it's crap.

OK, that's one that's crap.

Now, look carefully at this one.

That's the Villa. The Villa what?

Villa Park.

This doesn't look nothing like

Villa Park.

Oh, that's great.

It's done by

a local Birmingham artist too. Good.

I'm going to show Ozzy...

He's never seen the bench that's

in Birmingham of Black Sabbath.

You can...

There's a bench and there's pictures

of all the guys in Sabbath,

and you can sit next to

your favourite one

and have a picture taken.

There's Black Sabbath Bridge,

Ozzy the bull at the station,

and it's fantastic.

It's really huge.

Every hour, it farts or something.

No, it moves.

It moves and its head moves,

and there's lasers in the eyes

and everything.

And at Christmas, they dress him up,

and it's just fantastic.

Is it there forever? Forever.

REPORTER: There are more than 40,000

Black Sabbath fans here,

and they could have sold it

many, many times over.

It is the first time in 20 years

the band has played together,

fronted by the Prince of Darkness

himself, Ozzy Osbourne,

and a farewell to their home city.

Sometimes you throw a bunch of cards

in the air.

Every now and again, the cards fall

the way they're supposed to,

and sometimes when it's going bad,

I want to go, "Beam me up, Scotty."

HE LAUGHS

Once it's on,

you are a sh*thole boss.

When I feel the crowd,

it's like a divine experience.

There's no sex, drugs or anything

that comes anywhere near it.

You feel king of the f*cking planet

for that one minute.

CHEERING

I have to say that my favourite part

of the whole weekend

was when dad sang

Mama, I'm Coming Home.

I don't feel like

there was one dry eye.

I... I got all emotional with that.

Oh, my God, Dad,

everybody was crying.

I couldn't f*cking get the words out.

I was just swallowing

my f*cking emotion.

The guys from Metallica, Slayer,

Tool -

everyone was just up there,

like, crying. Crying.

The only thing I really got...

What was terribly frustrating for me,

I had to sit there

instead of running across the stage.

That was f*cking t*rture,

cos I wanted to get off that thing

so much.

It was very humbling

to sit in that chair for...

..er, nine songs.

What a great way to go out,

that gig was.

MAPLE SHRIEKS

AREE: Maple, you want to go pop

the bubbles?

Since the show on Saturday,

we came back

and we just slept non-stop

throughout the day and a half.

I haven't even given it a thought

what happens next.

But I can retire

with a clear conscience.

The emotion and love

for Black Sabbath and Ozzy

has been really overwhelming.

He had a dream

and that dream came true,

and I think that people

relate to that very much.

It's our last chapter.

This is it. This is our time.

However long it is, it's our time.

My life without him

just isn't my life.

It's not what I was meant to be.

And I just...

We're like glue.

This is the first time

I've been back in such a long time.

I know.

It's great to be here.

And in the summer.

That's what I'm saying.

Yeah, it's the best.

What are you

most looking forward to?

Doing absolutely nothing.

Ditto. Real... Ditto.

Being with you, Sharon,

just being with you.

You know, you've got on the phones

to our agents and things.

I'm... I'm...

I'm retiring from public life.

If I had my legs, I'd love to build

a vegetable garden.

We can get them here.

I'd love it.

I've done it before. It's great.

Well, we can do...

Grow some weed, perhaps.

Very funny.

You like a smoke now and again.

Shut up! You're such an arsehole!

Mm. Love you.

Love you more. Couldn't.

MUSIC: Mama, I'm Coming Home

by Ozzy Osbourne

CHANTING: Ozzy! Ozzy! Ozzy!

Time goes by like a flash.

But I've had a lot of fun.

I've had a lot of blood, sweat

and tears, you know.

FANS: Ozzy, Ozzy, Ozzy! Oi, oi, oi!

It's been a great life.

If I had to live my life again,

I wouldn't change a damn thing.

Times have changed

and times are strange

Here I come, but I ain't the same

Mama, I'm coming home

Time's gone by, seems to be

You could have been

a better friend to me

Mama, I'm coming home

You took me in

and you drove me out, yeah

You had me hypnotised, yeah

Lost and found and turned around

By the fire in your eyes

You made me cry, you told me lies

But I can't stand to say goodbye

Mama, I'm coming home.
