Everyone's
at the couches,
you know, so if you come in,
I think they want you, like,
right here.
You're talking to them.
Right to, like,
the edge of the couch?
Yeah.
- Hello.
- Hi.
- Hi.
- Are you guys excited?
- Yes.
- Yeah?
- Excited.
- How do you guys like working
with your moms?
- Um, it's fun.
- Yeah?
- Until she becomes too bossy.
- Bossy? Me?
- Yes.
- No.
- It's fun working
in the kitchen with my mom,
but it can also be a hassle.
I love working with you!
- What about you?
You like working with your mom?
- It's stressful.
- She boss me around.
- I do not.
- Uh-oh.
- You know, you just have
to not manipulate her.
Basically.
- Today on Best in Dough,
it's all about
mothers and daughters
and the special bond
they share.
But they don't always
see eye-to-eye.
- Ooh, that's tight.
Three mother-daughter
duos will go head-to-head
in a family-style throwdown
over two rounds.
- Dough's looking good.
- Look a little crazy.
We skipped a step.
- Mom, you're freaking out.
Just calm down.
They'll have
to impress the judges...
"Eat me!"
- Ooh, mama!
And win over
the voice of the people,
a jury of teenagers.
So good.
Only one will walk away
with $10,000...
$10,000!
And the title
of Best in Dough.
We are Carmen and Heidi,
and we are here to win.
- That was so off-beat.
Oh, my God.
Heidi is a Carmen 2.0.
Because we're both pretty
headstrong, we kind of...
- Collide.
- Collide a little bit.
Crash.
I like cooking with my mom
because I get
to spend time with her.
Our favorite thing
to make together is pizza.
Duh.
But I usually end up winning
'cause--don't tell
any of my siblings this--
I'm the favorite child.
We're ready for this.
We take her creativity,
we mix it with our drive
for competitiveness.
Grab it by the handle.
- And smash it.
- Dominate.
- Slay.
- Slay Best in Dough.
Our mamas and mias
are ready to go head-to-head
for $10,000.
I'm my mom's all-time favorite,
Wells Adams,
and this is Best in Dough.
Rolling!
- What's up, guys?
- Wow.
- There are the spices.
- This is awesome.
- Wow.
- Welcome to Best in Dough.
Y'all ready to sling some pies?
Yes.
- It's time right now for your
Out of the Box Challenge.
When the time starts,
you'll find a little surprise
from me under your station.
It's a lunchbox.
And it's up to you guys to make
a totally creative pizza
using your lunchbox contents.
Now, the good news is,
the winner of this challenge
will either take home a prize
or get an important advantage
in the Final Dough Down.
Are you guys ready?
- Yes.
- Yes.
- You guys have 45 minutes.
Let's dough!
- Hope it's something good.
- It's a bologna sandwich
with cheddar cheese.
All right, we can do this.
I've been cooking
for 15 years now.
Classically French-trained,
working as a private chef,
running restaurants.
We're so down
for the challenge.
- Mm-hmm.
- We got bacon, chicken,
and Swiss cheese.
I don't like that.
What kind of pizza
can we make with that?
- We got a salami sandwich
with banana peppers.
I love banana peppers,
and I love salami,
and I'm pretty confident
we can make anything
taste great as a pizza.
- Grab that bowl for me.
I'm gonna get the sauce going
once I get the bacon on.
You gonna chop up some chicken?
- Yeah.
On our pizza,
we're going to use the bacon,
the Swiss cheese,
and the diced chicken.
- All right, we're getting
the sauce going, pumpkin.
Not a fan of chicken
on my pizza at all,
but I have a wonton business,
and I think how we use
our flavors is pretty unique.
- It could give us a advantage.
- I agree.
I'm making the sauce.
I'm about to go ahead
and finish seasoning this up,
'cause right now,
it's definitely not ready.
We make almost
every meal together.
I can count on Kelis to get
things started in the kitchen
and have really good ideas.
My mom is
a very creative person,
and she's loving.
Yes, that is you.
- Thank you.
I had Kelis when
I was in college.
It poses its challenges,
but all the goals that I've set
and goals that I've reached
were inspired by Kelis.
If we were to win,
we would invest the money,
'cause I got college coming up.
I definitely agree with that.
You're doing a great job.
- Thank you.
- Okay, everyone,
please meet your judges.
Welcome to school.
- Hi, guys.
- Hi!
- Hi.
- Ciao, beautiful people.
- Hi.
- They have sandwiches
that have bologna or ham.
- Bologna?
- Bologna or--
- What's a bologna?
- Isn't bologna, like,
an Italian thing?
- No.
- No?
- The Italian thing
is called mortadella.
- Mortadella.
- Which come from Bologna.
Okay.
- Which you guys
says "baloney."
- So what you're saying is,
is that the way that we
pronounce bologna is baloney.
Yes.
I'm putting the dough
by the oven
because it's freezing
my hands off.
- Oh, okay.
- You're so cute.
- Right?
- This is hard.
For the Out of the Box
Challenge,
we are making
the A&B Pan Pizza.
It's called A&B
because of Allison and Barbara.
My name goes first
because I'm her princess.
For our pizza,
my mom's
making a homemade pesto sauce.
The toppings are
the peppercorn salami,
banana peppers, mushrooms,
some tomatoes,
and shredded mozzarella.
- Then you have
to use the blender.
Usually, my mom's the one
who's always like,
"Do this, do this, do this."
But this time,
I said I should take control.
Mom, you have
to make another sauce.
- I like how bossy she is.
- Mm-hmm.
- You have to use the blender.
Get some cheese.
Go get some cheese.
I can help you chop.
- Allison,
since she's three years old,
she loves to cook.
I went to culinary
school for a year and a half,
and I have taught my mom
a few things in the kitchen.
I'm just, like, very smart.
Not bragging or anything,
or, like, gloating.
- That smells good, Barbara.
Yeah, it smells really good.
- I'm gonna take
these peels off.
- Let me help you with that.
- Okay.
- So we're gonna
combine the cheddar
from the sandwich
to our cheese blend.
- For our pizza,
we have bologna,
cheddar cheese,
and we're making garlic crema,
that my mom is
really famous for,
as a sauce,
with some extra cheeses,
salami, and pepperoni.
- Making a nice little panko
with the chips.
I think that'll bring
a little oomph to the bite.
Heidi doesn't think
that's funny.
- It's not.
- Get this up a little bit.
- No. It's cold, Mom.
- I honestly could not imagine
getting along with my mom
at this age.
Enough to, like,
make a pizza together.
You know?
- I was making pizza
with my son, like,
a couple of weeks ago.
- Uh-huh.
- He's four years old.
I gotta say,
I think he has it in his blood.
And he say,
"Papa, I have an idea."
He goes in the pantry,
grabs a bag of cheese puffs...
- Yeah.
- And crunches it
on top of the pizza.
And then my heart shattered
in two seconds.
Why?
- You don't put cheese puff
on a freaking pizza.
- Time check, please?
- You got 20 minutes left.
- Heard. Thank you.
- Stop saying "heard," Mom.
- Stop it.
We're a little behind.
Get some cheese.
Go get some cheese.
You want a taste?
Ooh, that came out good.
Good job, Kelis.
- How are you feeling?
- You know, I'm pretty fine.
Let's make
some perfect little circles
out of that.
Yeah. Exactly. Perfect.
Just like that.
- We started cooking
pizzas together
beginning of quarantine.
She's always been there
to, like, show me what to do
and how to do it.
But, like, I'm not gonna lie,
sometimes I'm a little testy.
To be honest.
- Yeah.
As soon as we're done there,
we can get started
on our dough.
- Oui, Chef.
- Thank you, Heidi.
Appreciate the respect.
Don't roll your eyes at me.
- I didn't roll my eyes at you.
There's a difference
between rolling eyes
and giving a dirty look.
It's completely different.
- So that was a dirty look.
- No.
- Dough's looking good.
- I think that's why daughters
are better.
I can't imagine my son
being able to do this.
- His son can.
It'll just have cheese puffs
on top.
Yes, exactly.
- You guys, 12 minutes!
You got 12 minutes!
- Okay, put this one
onto the tray
and start putting it
into the oven.
Uh-oh.
Great.
- Hope I can do this.
- Okay.
Uh-oh.
Uh-oh, I can't get it off.
- Did you not put the flour?
- We need more flour, Mom.
- You want to throw
that bologna on there now?
- I will.
- This is so much fun.
Basil, Heidi? Basil?
- Carmen and Heidi looks--
I mean, it's pretty impressive
for mom and daughter cooking.
We are struggling, Mom.
I am.
Oh, no!
Mom, you're freaking out.
Just calm down.
We're gonna fix it.
Don't worry.
- Guys, please remember
that before to
put the pizza in the oven,
use a little more flour
or the pizza
gonna stuck to the peel.
- Yeah, it's a little crazy.
We skipped a step.
It falls apart.
It's a disaster.
- It's ripping.
- Oh, my gosh.
- Five minutes left, guys!
Cinque minuti!
- How's it going, Mother?
- Ah!
- Please, God of Pizza, help.
Please, please, please.
This isn't good.
Hurry, Mom.
- Oh, I'm so nervous.
- Whoa.
We're breaking it.
We're breaking it.
Mom, what's happening?
- Barbara, when she
put the pizza on the peel,
she didn't use enough flour.
Now, everything is stucked.
We have to start over.
- No.
- Mm-hmm.
- Tiffany and Kelis,
the pizza got stuck
to the peel.
I will grab another dough.
Thank you, pumpkin.
We have to remake this pizza.
- With just a few minutes
on the clock.
And I'm panicking.
We gonna say a prayer
on this one.
All right, Kelis, round two.
It's gonna come.
It's gonna come.
- Have to hurry, Mom.
This isn't good.
- I am, Mommy!
- Ah!
- If the oven temperature
is really high,
it's enough time to cook it.
But I don't know.
For that amount of dough,
if they can make it in time.
- Please go, please go.
- Did it!
- Got it in!
- Whoo!
- Yay!
- I'm trying to make a smile.
It doesn't really
look like a smile.
It's okay.
- We got 1 minute
and 30 seconds.
Get them pizzas out
and on their plates, ladies.
- Please.
- Ready. Coming out.
Coming out hot.
Thank you.
- You guys can do it.
I believe in you!
All right, we got it out.
Beautiful.
There's an Italian seasoning.
Put some of that.
Gimme more of that.
- Go, Barbara! Go, Barbara!
You got 15 seconds!
Okay!
- Barbara, hurry!
Ten seconds!
What are you doing, Barbara?
- Ten seconds!
Five!
- It's okay.
- Four!
- Three! Two! One!
- And time!
- Hey!
That's good, Barbara!
That was good.
- Oh, my God, I am sweating.
- We made it.
- You were the one who was
stressed. I was fine.
- All right, ladies,
bring us your pizzas.
- Bon appétit.
- Ooh, thank you.
Oh, okay.
- We hope you enjoy.
- Oh. Looks great.
- Let's start with Tiffany
and Kelis.
Tell us what you made.
- We made the Swissted Chicken
Baconwich Pizza.
We had a sandwich
that had Swiss cheese,
chicken, and bacon,
so we just wanted to recreate
the sandwich, pizza-style.
Oh.
- That's my first time
with chicken on a pizza.
- Ever?
- Yeah.
I love the sauce.
It feels like a mama kiss
to me.
All the herbs inside,
I can see the tomato paste
adding a little sweetness
to it.
It's not bad.
Did you make me a believer
out of chicken on a pizza?
I don't know about that.
- Okay.
- Carmen and Heidi,
what was in your lunchbox,
and how did you incorporated it
into the pizza?
- We had a bologna sandwich
with potato chips
and a fruit cup.
We made our Homeslice Pizza.
It is made with shredded
mozzarella, cheddar cheese,
and a little bit
of blue cheese.
We also have
Canadian bacon on there.
You see those little rounds
of bologna.
And we made, like,
a panko out of the chips.
We placed it
on top of our garlic crema.
- I love this blue cheese
on it.
Feels unexpected.
- Thank you.
- They made a garlic crema,
right?
- The garlic crema sauce.
You did a garlic crema?
Almost like
an Alfredo-ish flavor.
And it paired very beautifully
with all the meat.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
- Now it's time to move on
to Barbara and Allison.
Tell us what was
in your lunchbox
and tell us what you made.
- So there was peppercorn,
salami, and banana peppers,
and we used that
for our pizza.
It's called
the A&B Pan Pan Pizza.
- I just want to say
if you turn it this way,
it kind of looks like
a monster, you know?
- Thank you.
- Like, this is the mouth,
and these are the eyes.
It's going, "Eat me!"
I love it.
Did you try to make it look
like a funny face?
- Totally, yeah.
- Yeah?
- Mm-hmm.
Good. I'm not crazy.
- This pizza makes me think
that your mom wants
to make sure that you get
your vegetables, your proteins,
and then you have the pesto
coming to the party, right?
The cheesy pesto.
If you guys would have
drizzled the pesto
after the pizza was cooked,
it would have been,
like, a home run.
- Okay.
- For me,
it's like you asked, like,
"What does Wells like to eat?"
And then you just put
those things on this pizza.
I was worried about your crust
not cooking enough,
just 'cause
you were up against it
and we were yelling at you to
get that pie out of the oven.
But it ended up turning out
really, really wonderful.
- I saw that you were,
uh, sort of, like,
in charge over there, Allison,
so I want to give you
a high five.
I like to be bossy.
- Oh, yeah. I get it.
- We can tell.
- I'm also very bossy.
Boom, mama!
- Only one of you dynamic duos
can win the
Out of the Box Challenge.
Eunji, who served up
the best pie?
- My favorite pie is...
Carmen and Heidi.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
- Ooh.
This was a tough vote.
My vote goes to...
Allison and Barbara.
- Yay.
- Daniele, who do you vote for?
- Oof.
My vote goes to...
Heidi and Carmen.
Yay.
It was baked to perfection,
and all the ingredients
came together
very, very h*m*
and delicious.
- Thank you so much.
- As the winner, you get
to choose between a prize
or an advantage
in the second round.
It's up to you.
So what's it gonna be?
- What do you think?
The advantage?
Do we really need it?
- Final answer.
- I think that...
- Prize?
- A prize is nice. Prize.
- Okay.
- Yay!
- Good job.
You're in for a real treat,
'cause we've got
a great prize for you.
It's your very own
Gozney Roccbox pizza oven.
- Really?
- Your house just became
the coolest freaking place
on the block.
- Thank you so much.
- Thank you.
- Mothers, daughters,
$10,000 is on the line,
and it all comes down
to this moment.
- The competition is about
to get a little bit sweeter,
because we want you to create
a dessert pizza worthy
of Best in Dough.
That's right.
We're talking about
total decadence.
- Oh, and one more thing
before we get started.
The beauty of pizza is that
it's for everyone, right?
Not just for judges like us.
Because of that, we have a room
full of teenagers here today
to try your dessert pizzas.
They're our jury.
And together,
they have one vote.
But their vote
is extra special,
'cause if there is a tie,
their vote determines
the winner,
so make sure you guys deliver.
You only have 45 minutes, guys.
It's dough time!
- All right, Kelis, you ready?
'Cause I'm ready.
- Yeah.
- Apples.
- Got some berries.
- Yeah.
- Got some strawberries.
- Yeah.
- Apple pie.
How are we gonna top it?
Maybe, like, a whipped cream?
Let's definitely use
a mascarpone for that.
- I am so excited
because I love dessert,
and I have the best idea
for a dessert pie.
We are making Cinnamon Crumble
Dutch Apple Pie Pizza
with whipped cream,
mascarpone,
and streusel topping.
I don't know anybody who
doesn't like apple pie.
So we are totally stoked,
because I know
that it's going to be a winner.
We did win the first round,
but these guys are
bringing their A game,
so we gotta bring it.
- Yes, Chef.
- Last round was horrible.
So this round, Mom, we have
to work up our game.
Okay, Mom?
- Okay.
- We learned that
in round one,
we should add a little
more flour to our peel.
And time management.
Don't worry, Mother.
Allison has got this. Kind of.
For round two,
I am making a fruit pizza
with sliced berries,
grapes, and peaches,
a strawberry-raspberry
cream cheese sauce,
and an orange glaze crust.
I'm pretty confident
we can win round two.
- Look, they're making
a fruit pizza, too.
- Nice.
- I was thinking maybe we can
turn our
strawberry cheesecake wonton...
- Into a pizza?
- Into a pizza.
- Yeah, that sounds good.
- That will start with me
making the cheesecake filling.
Yeah.
We are making a
Cheesecake Fruit Medley Pizza,
with cream cheese,
strawberries, blueberries,
and raspberries.
We can do strawberry,
blueberries,
and then raspberries
to color code it.
- Okay, we can do that.
That works for me.
- What's your go-to dessert?
- Vanilla ice cream.
- Vanilla?
- Vanilla ice cream.
I love vanilla ice cream.
- It's so plain!
- Yeah.
- There's so many good dessert
that you can have.
Like cannoli,
you can have a cheesecake.
- There's also pies.
- Chocolate cake.
- Blueberry.
- Biscotti.
- Pizzelle.
- Ice cream sandwich.
- I know there are desserts.
I'm just telling you
the one that I like.
- You went
for vanilla ice cream.
You can't
get mad at me for that!
We're almost there.
- We're gonna make
the streusel here.
That's a little cold butter,
brown sugar, flour.
And we're gonna
top the pizza with that.
- Heidi, Carmen,
how you guys doing?
- We're doing good.
- Good. Thank you.
- So much confidence there.
- Thank you.
Ever since
I was younger,
we've always wanted
to go to Paris,
so if we won this $10,000,
I would say
the first thing we would do
would be to book a plane ticket
to Paris.
- I think half of it Paris,
half of it college tuition.
- Mm-hmm, yeah. Mm-hmm.
- For sure.
- This whipped cream
is taking a long time.
You're doing good,
you're doing good.
- I'm getting a little
concerned, but I'm fine.
- Cooks, I don't want
to freak you out,
but there's only
25 minutes left.
- All right, Kelis.
- Oh, my God, 25 minutes?
- You doing well, though.
- We just cook the pizza first,
and then we can add the sauce.
- Okay, go.
No, I'm doing it.
Mom, just start a new one.
- Okay.
- We need one more dough.
That's all.
Don't cut. I cut.
We have multiple.
Don't worry.
I like to be bossy.
I'm always bossy.
Mom.
Move on.
- I just saw Allison
go like this.
"Stop it."
To her mom.
Oh, my God.
- You just need
to chop them up, okay? Okay.
- What is your son's
favorite dessert?
- Berries with crème fraiche.
- Okay, that's a very elevated
palate for a five-year-old.
Yeah, he enjoys caviar
and crème fraiche.
- "More champagne, Mom,
please."
- Man, this hurts my arm.
- Yeah.
15 minutes, chefs.
- Okay, we have
15 minutes left.
15 minutes, Kelis.
We got this.
No pressure,
but we gotta hurry up.
- No pressure.
No pressure,
but we gotta hurry up.
All right.
I'm with it.
Even though our pizza has fruit
like all the other contestants,
we made a cheesecake pizza.
That's not something
that you really see,
which makes it unique
in that way.
- Very unique.
- I'm gonna put this in--
this first one in the oven.
- Go ahead.
- All right, all right.
That's one in, Kelis.
All right.
- Oh!
- Oh! Wow!
- Okay, my wonderful mothers
and daughters,
the jury has arrived,
and they look ready
to judge some pizza.
- Hey, guys.
They have one vote,
so you better give them
something to talk about.
I'm kind of nervous.
I know how, like,
picky teens can be,
so I really hope that the jury
is gonna like our pizza.
- What's up, fam?
- Hi.
- What would it be like
for you guys
to make food with your parents?
- Chaos. Chaos.
- A hot mess.
- Hot mess. Chaos.
- Stressful.
- Stressful.
- Irritating.
- Irritating.
- Irritating.
- Frustrating.
- Frustrating. Yeah.
- I think it would be good
if we, like,
assigned parts to work on,
and we did not interfere
with each other.
- Exactly.
Ten minutes.
- Okay, perfect.
Now they're all in.
- Uh-oh, it looks like
Barbara's having--
Same thing with the flour!
- It's like first round
all over the place.
I know.
- This is the moment
that she goes to therapy for.
- This is it?
- This is the moment.
Oh no!
You might just have
to put a lot of flour on there.
- Like, I'm so nervous
for them.
- Maybe it's because
there are holes, Mom.
And the flour's going through.
- And now Allison's
yelling at her.
"Mom!"
- Allison, is everything okay?
Yeah. Go, Mommy, go.
- She figured out the flour.
Now she's putting
some flour down, there we go.
That's the last one.
All we have to do is decorate.
- Five minutes time, guys!
Five minutes time left!
- All right, put it down quick.
Put it down quick.
Thank you, baby.
- Those are puffy.
- They are puffy.
- Their pie looks beautiful.
- It does.
- It resemble,
actually, cheesecake.
All right, Kelis,
you're doing it,
but I just need you
to do it a little faster.
- You have a minute, 30 left.
- Glaze it, Mother.
- I'll glaze it.
- Glaze it. Remember, be calm.
If you rush even more,
we run out of time
and we make a mistake.
- Allison and Barbara's
look very pale.
Maybe it's powdered sugar.
I'm being very positive here,
okay?
- No, not like that, Mom.
Like this.
It has to be drizzled
a certain way.
Not vertical. That's just ugh.
- 20 seconds, guys!
- We need more basil.
- Hurry, hurry!
- Hurry, hurry, hurry.
- Five!
- Four! Three! Two! One!
- Hands up!
- Yeah!
- All right,
moms and daughters,
bring us your dessert pizzas.
- Ooh!
- Ooh, that looks tasty.
And that looks tasty.
- Oh, wow!
- Yes!
- And that looks tasty.
- Oh! Okay!
- Oh, look at that!
- Oh!
- Whoa.
That looks really good.
- I might enjoy this a lot.
This looks--I'm really excited.
This smells like
a Toaster Strudel.
- Allison and Barbara,
you guys are up first.
Allison, tell us what you made.
- It's the OMG Ooh La La Pizza.
- Okay.
- OMG Ooh La La.
So it has berries,
grapes, and peaches.
The crust has an orange glaze.
And then it has
a raspberry sauce.
- Now, why did you choose
these fruits?
Oh, because berries
are my favorite fruits.
Peaches are my dad's favorite,
and my mom really likes grapes.
Aww, that's a
family pizza, then.
- Yeah.
- I love it.
- Well, the sauce that you put
on this is so yummy.
- Yes.
- Oh my goodness.
Thank you guys so much.
Really, really good.
- Thank you.
- Heidi and Carmen,
you guys are up next.
- We made an Apple Pie Pizza
with a cinnamon strudel.
- Ooh!
- Ooh. Strudel.
And a mascarpone
whipped cream on top.
Oh, with this mint?
Little bit of mint on here?
There's, like,
a drizzle on top.
- Oh, it's caramel.
- Caramel. Oh!
- Oh, wow.
It tastes like Christmas.
- Uh-huh.
- Mm-hmm.
- Yeah.
The apple is so good in here.
Like, it's so sweet.
- And buttery.
- My God.
- It's time to taste
Kelis and Tiffany's pie.
Tell us what you made for us.
- We made a Fruit Cheesecake
Medley Pizza Pie.
What's in that
is strawberries,
blueberries, and raspberries.
For the drizzle,
we have a icing.
We also have
a chocolate drizzle over it.
Mmm. The dough is so fluffy.
Yeah.
- How did you make the icing?
- We just used
powdered sugar and milk.
- I feel like a cheesecake
and a pizza had a happy baby.
- That was the goal.
- All right, you guys,
head backstage,
and, uh, we've got
a tough decision to make, okay?
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
- All right, let's start
with Allison and Barbara's pie.
The sauce is probably
the best sauce that
was made of the three pies.
- It's unbelievable.
It's so tart and fruity.
I love the fresh element
of the strawberry.
It's perfectly balanced.
- The crust here, the parts
where it's browned, the sugar,
the glaze on it--
it does taste good.
- But the dough,
it's raw, unfortunately.
- Yes. It's raw.
- The dough is--
- There could have been, like,
more fruit on each slice.
Like, I kind of only got, like,
one piece of fruit
on each slice.
- I thought I was gonna, like,
not like the cream cheese,
'cause I don't
like cream cheese.
But it tasted so good.
It tasted like frosting.
- I think I'm a fan
of Carmen and Heidi's.
It's really good.
It wasn't too sweet.
There was also,
like, a bit of, like,
a tart element with it.
- I'm ready to hire them
as my personal chef.
It was so good, guys.
- The taste was Christmas.
You know, people wearing hats,
the snow glistening
in the air.
I love the mint.
Was very fresh.
Lemon zest was very bright.
Uh, the only thing I will say,
the crumble
that they put on top,
the strudel, it's undercooked.
One layer texture.
- All right, so what are
we thinking
about Kelis and Tiffany's pie?
The dough
is delicious, it's sweet.
The sugar on the crush
is very nice touch.
When you bite into it,
you have the tartness
and the sweetness from fruit
and also the drizzle
that they did.
It's a pizza and a doughnut
with a cream cheese hairstyle.
- I'm just really impressed
that they even
kind of attempted this.
But I worry
if more was too much.
- I like the crust.
I like the cheesecake.
I wish it had been baked
a little longer even,
so it was less doughy.
I wasn't expecting to like
the strawberry cream cheese
at all.
Like, it's definitely
not something
I'd think to ever pair.
But it tasted,
actually, really good.
- I really liked the crust.
It was really soft.
And it was really good.
- The flavors, like, combine,
like, nicely together.
- I have to, uh,
go check in with those teens,
see where their heads are at.
I'll see you guys in a bit.
Pizza Jury.
- Hi.
- You guys were a little
on the fence
about whether or not you were
gonna like dessert pizza.
How do we feel now that we've,
uh, enjoyed some of them?
- I feel like the pizza gods
are definitely
gonna send them to heaven.
- Oh, yeah?
- Yeah.
- All right, Pizza Jury,
let us see your votes.
Everyone voted
for the same pie.
Okay, there's
a clear favorite here.
- All right, guys,
let's get back out there
and see what the judges say.
- All right.
- Game time.
- All right, ladies,
the votes are in.
It's time to crown the winner
of Best in Dough.
Remember, all three of us
have a vote,
and the jury represents
the fourth vote.
So whoever gets
the most votes, they win.
All right?
And if there is a tie,
the winner of the jury vote
takes home the $10,000
and the title of Best in Dough.
Daniele, please tell us your
favorite pizza of the night.
Okay.
All the pizza
were unbelievable.
My vote goes to...
Kelis and Tiffany. I loved it.
- Thank you.
- Thank you.
- All right, I'll go next.
This was a tough one for me.
You all did so amazing.
But my vote goes to...
Allison and Barbara.
Yay!
- Eunji?
- Well, I just want to say,
as a perfect mother
and bossy daughter,
I loved seeing this dynamic
to provide us perfect pizzas.
My vote goes to...
Heidi and Carmen.
- Thank you.
- Okay, so to summarize,
we're at a standstill,
which means
it comes down to the jury.
They had a tough decision.
But their vote went to...
Heidi and Carmen.
Oh, my God! Thank you guys!
- Oh, my God.
We did it!
- $10,000.
- We did it.
Oh, my gosh.
We're going to Paris.
Yes! Oh, my God!
That was so good.
Even though we didn't
win the competition,
it brought us together.
- Your pizza was so good.
- Thank you.
- I wanted to finish it.
- Great job, pumpkin.
- Did you feel good about it?
Yeah, you should.
- I think me and my mom
are closer now than we were.
- Yeah, but now--
- Oh, my God. Really?
That's the biggest trophy
you've ever received.
- I'm so happy we got
this opportunity.
I think this is really
bringing us closer.
I'm so excited.
- Thank you.
Thank you, thank you.
- Next up, three fusion
pizza pros
are entering the kitchen
to prove
once and for all that pizza is
the most popular food
across the planet.
Are you guys all pizza chefs?
- I'm a sushi chef.
- All right, so you're
on the wrong show.
It's the studio next door.
- Okay.
- Yeah.
Call your mom.
Tell her you love her,
all right?
Then settle in
for another episode
of Best in Dough.
