[upbeat musical intro]

Hey. You still using the Hero League's

Deeptrack Database to study for tonight?

I am. I call it Operation Crush Parent-Teacher Night.

Parents like it when you establish

a personal connection with them.

For example, did you know Ricky Phillips' dad

likes to dress as a pirate?

Phoebe, I know you're a teacher now,

but can you turn the nerd dial down?

Max, the Hero League expects us to be good at our cover jobs

while we do our secret superhero mission.

Mm, but I am good at my cover job.

I'm the gorgeous vice principal who skates by on his charm.

Yeah, and I'm the art teacher

with a brother who's constantly disappointing her.

Don't talk about Billy like that!

There's my amazing brother and sister!

No.

You don't even know what I was gonna ask.

If your friends could come over

while we're at Parent-Teacher Night.

How'd you know?

'Cause that's what I would've asked.

Listen, Chloe, I really don't wanna be the bad guy

and say you can't have friends over

without adult supervision.

However, I did just text it to you.

[phone chimes]

-Aw, man! -Yeah.

I had a feeling you'd say that,

which is why I prepared this slide presentation.

Ooh! I do love a good presentation.

I don't.

Hit it, Thunderford!

On it, Chloe.

Phones on mute, people!

You say you want me to have a normal life,

but what is normal?

Having a bee beard?

Wearing a cheese hat? Clog dancing?

None of these. Whatis normal is having your friends come over

-with no adult supervision! -[buzzer dings]

As research clearly shows,

unsupervised friendship leads to better grades,

less pollution, and lower cholesterol.

-What? How would it-- -Shh! It's getting good!

So, to conclude,

you should let Jinx and Booch come over

because it's a perfect prescription

for a normal childhood.

Side effects may include fun,

lasting memories, and making Chloe happy.

Aw, Chloe,

I can tell you put a lot of work into that.

The answer's still no.

So I can fight supervillains,

but can't have friends over without you here?

So you do get it.

Sorry. We'll see you when we get back.

No friends!

This is so unfair.

Don't talk to me about unfair!

My home is also my bathroom.

I'm sick of them treating me like a baby.

I may look like a bunny,

but I'm an adult who doesn't care.

That's right! You're technically an adult,

so if my friends came over, there would be supervision!

Well, look at you bending the rules!

Guess maybe there's hope for you after all.

Evil laugh with me!

[evil laughter]

I'm not evil.

I'm just sneaky.

You want your friends over or not?

Laugh with me.

[stilted evil laughter]

Stop! You're embarrassing us both.

[Chloe]I come from a family of superheroes.

But now, my brother and sister and I

are heading to a brand-new town.

[Phoebe]We're going undercover.

[Max]To try and solve our most important mission yet.

Nobody messes with the squid kids!

Don't make us squirt ink at you!

Oh no! Squid kids!

We're stuck in a whirlpool!

Wait. Chloe, am I allowed to stand on your couch?

Hm. Let me ask some adults.

Oh, wait! There aren't any!

We can do whatever we want!

[all] Go, squids!

Go, squids! Go, squids!

Go, squids! Go, squids!

[gasps] Oh, no!

What is it? What's wrong, Chloe?

Uh... the jellyfish g*ng is back!

-Beat it, jellies! -Get lost!

-[grunts] Go away! -Scram!

[Jinx] You won't catch us alive!

Come on, jellies!

Okay, Chloe, we scared them away.

[giggles] That was fun!

Now let's play The Floor is Guava.

Don't you mean The Floor is Lava?

Why would the floor be lava?

[dishware shatters]

What was that?

I'll be back in a sec.

What are you doing?

Making a frittata!

It's Frittata Friday.

It's Tuesday.

Hey, it's Friday somewhere!

You need to get back upstairs before my friends see you.

Look, you don't follow rules. Why should I?

Just get out of here before--

Chloe!

You have a bunny?!

If you say one word, you'll be a frittata!

Yeah, I guess he got out of his cage.

I'll just go put him back.

Aw! I wanna meet this sweetheart!

What's your name?

Don't tell me. I'm getting

Mr. Puffums vibes.

Yup, you've met. Now let's go.

No. Mr. Puffums needs some grooming.

His hair's all matted.

When was the last time you brushed it?

Uh, like the day before never.

Well, don't worry.

I'm gonna fix you right up!

Luckily, I never leave home

without my mobile animal grooming kit.

[sighs] You never know

when a seagull will need a blowout.

[groans]

Aww! He's saying hi with his teeth!

[upbeat musical transition]

And sometimes I wonder, am I the one teaching these kids

or are they teaching me?

[retches]

Max!

Oh, Principal Taylor! Is that a new pantsuit?

Save your kissing up for the big boss.

Superintendent Ferguson is here.

[Max] Who's that?

The head of every school in town.

They call him Fiery Ferguson because he loves firing people.

[spits]

You call this lemonade?

I call it... you're fired!

Ferguson's extra fiery today.

Your teacher demonstration tonight better be good.

Oh yeah. It's gonna be great. [chuckles]

What exactly is it?

You were supposed to find a teacher

to give a live demonstration to the parents.

You are reading my emails, right?

Oh! Yes, of course!

I like the ones about school the most.

Ah. You must be Vice Principal Thunderman.

That's what it says on my parking space.

[chuckles]

Funny joke. School is no place for jokes.

Max was just telling me he found the best teacher

to wow you with a demonstration. Right, Max?

Oh, really? What teacher did you pick?

Uh...

My sister! Phoebe Thunderman.

Who is not the only teacher whose name I know.

She's the art teacher.

Oh! I love art.

Almost as much as I love firing people.

So don't mess up. Or do.

Fun for me either way.

So, you really "arrr"

the best muffler repairman in town?

-Yup. -Excuse me,

I need to borrow my very understanding sister.

Sorry.

Max, these parents love me!

I just got invited to a "baaar" mitzvah!

Right. So, um,

I sorta, kinda volunteered you

to give a live art demonstration. [chuckles]

What?

Max, I don't know anything about art,

which you knew when you lied to get me this job!

Yeah, and it was really funny then,

but not so much now.

Okay, well, just pick someone else.

I can't. I already told Superintendent Ferguson

that you'd do it.

Fiery Ferguson?

The superintendent who literally fired his dentist

during a root canal?

No pressure, Phoebe. Just give it your best shot.

And if you fail, we're both fired. [chuckles]

Max, if we get fired from these cover jobs,

the Hero League will kick us off this mission.

Like I said, no pressure.

[upbeat musical transition]

Two thousand, three hundred and forty-seven strokes!

Lookin' good, Mr. Puffums.

Yup, he's all brushed. Hop along, Mr. Puffums.

He can't leave! I have to file his nails.

Right after I wash my people paws!

She fed me carrots!

That doesn't sound so bad.

She chewed 'em up and fed me like a mama bird!

Just please try and play nice.

Well, if she messes up my French manicure,

I'll messher up!

Don't worry. I'll make sure she--

[Jinx] Whoa! What is that?

Uh-oh. Be right back.

Okay! Time to say,

"Au revoir, French manicure!"

[growls]

Aww! You're so excited you're purring!

Okay, first, some nose nuzzles!

Boochi loves you, little Puffum Wuffums!

Yes, she does!

[growls]

Chloe, you're never gonna believe what I found!

What?

A french fry in the couch!

Phew! I was scared there for a second.

Also, look what happened when I turned the starfish.

-[click] -[whooshing]

What is this thing?

I have no idea, but whatever you do,

-don't go... -[Jinx screams]

...near it.

[whooshing]

[whooshing]

[grunts]

[whooshing]

Whoa!

Yeah. Whoa!

[quirky musical transition]

[upbeat musical transition]

Whatis this place?

I don't know.

I've never seen this Air Lair befo--

I mean, Air Regular Room.

Wait a minute.

A secret room, high-tech equipment...

I know exactly what's going on here.

Jinx, I can explain.

I know what you're gonna say.

Evil spies are secretly living in your house!

Yeah! That's way better than what I was gonna say.

What'd you think it was?

Time-traveling Sasquatches?

There'd be way more hair.

Trust me.

I know a spy lair when I see one.

I spent the last seven summers at Camp Spyawanna.

Well, we should probably go.

The spies will be really mad if they find us up here.

You're right.

Spies hate being spied on.

Wait, look at this.

"Operation Crush Parent-Teacher Night"?

It's a secret file on the parents from our school.

They must be planning to crush our parents into tiny pieces

to build a giant, evil megaparent!

Your mind really takes you places.

It's a gift.

And speaking of places, I need to get down

to that Parent-Teacher Night to stop those spies!

Whoa, whoa!

Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

The smart thing to do is alert the authorities.

Mm. You mean my camp counselor, Spy Master Jerry.

If that's gonna get us out of this room, then yes.

[upbeat musical transition]

Okay, we need to impress Superintendent Ferguson.

So what's it gonna be? Pottery or painting?

Ugh. I stink at both of them.

-Is there a third option? -Getting fired?

Pottery it is.

How does one potter?

Don't worry.

I'll find a video online and use telekinesis

to help you make a bowl. How hard can that be?

Okay. Yeah, great. People love bowls.

I hate bowls.

So if your demonstration has one,

you'll get a heaping bowl of "You're fired!"

You know, for a guy who hates jokes,

he's pretty funny.

Okay. Bowls are out. What about a vase?

It's like the bowl's taller cousin.

I'll find a video. You get on the wheel.

Okay.

Okay, parents!

It's time for a teaching demonstration

by our art teacher, Phoebe Thunderman!

If it goes horribly, I had nothing to do with it.

Go, Narwhals!

Okay!

Hi, everyone!

I'm Phoebe Thunderman.

Let's get this "arty" started!

Nothing? Really? I thought it was good.

Okay, so first things first.

Oh, it moves when I hit the pedal thingy.

Is what your children might say

if they've never seen a pottery wheel before.

[woman]Do you want to learn how to make a vase quickly?

-Yes! -That won't happen,

because pottery takes a lifetime to master.

-Ugh! -[Ferguson clears throat]

Can you talk about your pottery influences?

Oh! Yes, of course.

My number one influence is probably Harry Potter.

I love it when he goes, [British accent] "Hermione!"

Oh, we're doomed.

Oh, here's one!

[man]How to make a vase quickly for bozos.

Phoebe's a bozo! This is perfect!

-[whooshing] -Oh! I've started!

Okay, so you first really just want to shape the clay.

No, it's more of, like, a caressing of the clay.

Um, and then you're gonna grab

some water... to drink.

Oh, nope. Just kidding.

It's for the clay. It gets thirsty too.

Huh, wow.

That's starting to look like a vase...

is yet another thing your children might say

if they had no idea how to potter.

[quirky musical transition]

All right, time to call Spy Master Jerry.

Wait. Where's my phone?

I always put it in my right back pocket

'cause I sit on my left cheek.

I don't know. It must be here somewhere.

Check under the couch.

Ooh!

Oh look! Here it is.

You dropped it in this apple juice.

Again?

This is why my mom makes me use sippy cups.

Ooh! Can I borrow your phone?

Sure. Whoops!

I feel like you said "whoops"

before you threw the phone.

No. I'm just more clumsy now.

You keep this up, we're gonna have to start

calling you Girl Jinx.

Girl Jinx will put this in some rice for you.

[whirring, snipping]

Oh no.

I forgot about you two.

But it looks like everyone's okay.

Yikes.

You don't like Mr. Puffums' blowout?

The question is,

what does Mr. Puffums think

of his new look?

He loves it!

Don't you, my little fuzzy bundle of love?

I gotta show Jinx!

Quick! Now's your time to escape!

Oh no!

I'm not going anywhere.

Because I lookfabulous!

What?

Get lost.

Poofy hair, don't care.

Hey, where'd Jinx go?

What're you talking about? He's in the living room.

-No, he isn't. -What the what?

It looks like he left a note on that napkin.

"Dear Chloe,

I went to school to save the parents.

Your spy friend, Double-O Jinx.

PS, that's my code name. This is Jinx."

[quirky musical transition]

[upbeat musical transition]

[sighs] I have to get down to that school to find Jinx!

-Okay! I'll wait here. -No, you can't!

Because there are other animals that could use a makeover.

But I've really bonded with Mr. Puffums.

I guess that skunk outside will be stuck with frizzy bangs.

[gasps] That poor creature!

I'm on it.

Tell Mr. Puffums I'll be back next week

for more nose nuzzles.

[Chloe] Okay. And remember,

don't nuzzle anything on that skunk!

I got stood up for a skunk?

[upbeat musical transition]

So, as you can see,

I know how to do pottery.

All by myself.

And let's remember who organized this.

Me, the great Max Thunderman!

[chuckles] Shout-out to my boy, Superintendent Ferguson!

It's not like that? Okay, cool.

[thud]

[spy music playing]

Now, time to use my spy camp skills

to scan for any bad guys.

[spy music playing]

An eye patch.

He's a pirate.

Or should I say... "spyrate"?

He must be the leader.

If I take him out,

the whole operation will crumble.

[whooshing]

Jinx! I thought we were waiting to call

Spy Master Jerry for further instructions.

A real spy never waits!

And it's not safe for you here, Chloe.

Don't look, but there's a spyrate over there.

I said don't look!

[sighs] I need to stop him

before he crushes our parents.

Luckily for me, I have a secret weapon.

[breathes deeply]

I hope Nana Jinx's knitting club won't miss this.

A ball of yarn?

Yes. I'm not allowed to play with sharp objects.

Here it goes!

[spy music playing]

[grunts]

Oh! I got hit with yaaarn!

-[click] -[pottery wheel whirs rapidly]

-Phoebe, what are you doing? -That's not me.

Mr. Phillips, get off the pedal!

Throw more clay on it! Maybe it'll slow it down.

[grunts]

[grunts]

-[yelps] -[grunts]

[dramatic music building]

Oh no! That vase is gonna blow!

Oh, now you get up!

-[whirring] -[splattering]

[music ends]

Well, if anyone needs me,

I'll be hiding in my office!

You guys okay?

Why don't you cover yourself in clay

and ask yourself that question?

Can someone explain to me what just happened?

[chuckles] Double-O Jinx happened.

That pirate spy knew I was onto him and ran.

Pirate spy?

You mean Mr. Phillips?

The Muffler King of Secret Shores?

Is that his code name?

Then yes.

I stopped his plans and saved everyone on this list!

My work here is done.

[lively spy music playing]

I don't know what he's doing, but I like it.

Chloe, what are you doing here,

and why does Jinx have my list from the Air Lair?

Good questions.

Hey, so you're good at pottery now.

That's fun!

Spill it!

[sighs] Okay. I--

Invited your friends over, and Jinx found the Air Lair?

Whoa. How'd you know?

Because that's what I would've done.

Chloe, because you chose not to listen to us,

the Air Lair has now been compromised and--

And we're about to lose our cover jobs!

-Thundermans, we need to chat. -We can explain.

I was gonna fire you two when I saw Phoebe making that vase.

It's just the bowl's taller cousin.

But then, you did this!

That is the most sublime statement on the human soul

I have ever seen!

I haven't been this inspired since I fired my mother.

So our jobs are safe?

For now. But I'll get you next time.

-[sinister chuckling] -[menacing music plays]

[increasingly dramatic evil laughter]

I know the guy's a jerk, but I really like him.

Now, back to yelling at Chloe.

Wait a minute.

It sounds like if it wasn't for me,

you guys would've lost your jobs, right?

[both] Uhhh...

Yup! We're even.

But there is one teeny tiny thing I need help with.

Let me handle this.

If those evil spies know I'm onto them,

this could get ugly.

What'd he say?

I had clay in my ears.

[click]

It won't open!

Jinx, is it possible

the spies sealed the slide, then left?

Yeah. I mean, I know if I were a spy,

I would be super scared of you.

Of course you would!

I'm Double-O Jinx.

That spin made me dizzy.

How could we ever repay you for saving us, Jinx?

By keeping my deepest secret:

that Double-O Jinx is the protector of Secret Shores!

Yeah, don't worry. We won't be telling anyone that.

Well, time for me to get back to headquarters.

That's my bedroom!

Double-O Jinx, over and out.

[lively spy music playing]

Uh, Jinx! You sure you don't wanna just take the front door?

Spies never do final exits through doors.

[lively spy music playing]

Ahh!

-[thud] -[music ends]

Maybe they should.

[Jinx] Oh, no! A skunk!

-[angry chittering] -[thrashing]

Making Jinx think the Air Lair

was locked forever was a great idea.

But can we open it back up now? My homework's in there.

And my leave-in conditioner!

Yeah.

I lookgood!

Don't even ask.

[upbeat musical outro]

[upbeat rock music playing]
