[Vampirina] "Oldie But a Ghouldie."

[giggling]

I swear, it's like these
scareberries just disappear

faster than we can pick them.

-[muffled grunting]
-Demi.

You're supposed to be helping us
pick the scary berries,

not eat them.

Oh, but scareberries
are a ghost's favorite food.

Mmm!

-[Edna humming]
-Ghostly greetings.

And good morning to you, too, Boris.

-Hi, Poppy.
-Hey, Vee.

What are all these boxes?

Oh, no! You're not moving, are you?

What? No way.

I'd miss my best friend
way too much for that.

Oh. Thank ghoul-ness.

We would hate for some strange neighbors
to move in next door,

doing all kinds of weird stuff.

We're spring cleaning.

Hmm. I don't see any springs in there.

[laughs]

It's where you clean out
all the old stuff you don't use

so you have room for new things.

Papa, we've got tons of old stuff.

Maybe we can clean some of it out, too.

A collector is coming today
to pick these things up.

I'm sure he would just love
whatever you have next door, too.

I can help you look.

This spring cleaning sounds spook-tacular.

We'll start right after
we finish picking scareberries.

I think that's been
taken care of already, Papa.

Demi.

What? It wasn't me.

[tummy rumbling]

Okay, it was me, and it was delicious.

-[rumbling continues]
-[moans]

But maybe I shouldn't
have eaten all of them.

Out of date.

Leaks.

Doesn't fly straight.

You sure someone's gonna want this stuff?

One vampire's junk
is another human's treasure.

Cool ball.

Eh, it hasn't predicted
the future right in years.

Ah, ghost!

That's you, Demi.

You're a ghost.

[giggles] I knew that.

I thought I recognized
those incredibly handsome eyes.

[giggles]

Gregoria, you're supposed to
be putting things in boxes,

not taking them out.

There's nothing wrong
with half of this stuff.

Sometimes we have to give away old stuff

so we can make room for new things.

What's wrong with old stuff.

Well, they can get dusty.

Uh, dull, cracked.

And once all these old, dusty,
dull and cracked things are gone,

[snickers] ...you realize
you never even missed them!

[doorbell shrieks]

Ah! That must be the collector.

We better bring this stuff downstairs.

Everyone, grab a box,
or a small decorative coffin.

I'm dusty, dull, cracked,
and 473 years old.

Way older than all
of the rest of the things

they're cleaning out.

[gasps] What if they give me away, too?

Hunchie? Wait, you can't get rid
of Hunchie.

I can't believe
you're giving away all these treasures.

What's the catch?

No catch. Just doing some spring cleaning.

Oh. Well, your loss is my gain.

As long as... [gasps]

...they're not haunted, are they?

[Boris] Oh, my, no.

We would never give away
something that was haunted.

Haunted items go
in the "keep forever" pile.

Ha-ha! You're a funny one, aren't you?

Oh, I've got some jokes.

What did the mummy do for the talent show?

He rapped! [laughs]

[Boris] Well, that's it, girls.

Spring cleaning was a huge success.

[gasps]

Just like I thought.
They did give me away.

[Edna] Oh, Boris.

Now that I have so much extra room,

can you help me move
a dresser in my attic?

Anything to help a neighbor, neighbor.

I'll need your help, too, Poppy.

I can lend a wing.

No. Save yourself.

My mom can rearrange furniture for hours.

Okay, thanks.

See, Gregoria.

Spring cleaning wasn't so bad.

You had nothing to worry about.

Demi, where's Gregoria?

[car engine starts]

[tense music]

Oh, no. The collector
took her by accident.

Great gargoyles, that's bad.

-Right?
-Really bad.

We spent the whole morning
talking about giving away old things.

She must think we meant her, too.

We have to go after her.

As your guardian ghost,
I suppose I have to come with you.

Wait up!

Four hundred and seventy-three years
in the same house,

and they give me away
with the mummy night light,

and a magic carpet that's lost its magic.

[Gregoria] At least I have you, Hunchie.

I just wish they knew
how much I'll miss them.

[Vampirina panting]

If we lose track of that collector,

we might never get Gregoria back.

I don't know what I'd do without her.

We have to fly faster.

Easy for you to say. You have wings.

Oh, why did I eat all those scareberries?

[panting]

Gregoria, we're coming for you.

Oh, no, she doesn't see us.

She does think we gave her away.

♪ You may be made up of rock and granite ♪

As a scareberry pie ♪

On this whole planet ♪

Gregoria! What are we gonna do?

We'll never be able to get to her

now that she's on the other side
of these walls.

Why, walls, why?

-Uh, Demi, you're a ghost.
-And your point is?

You can go through walls.

Oh, right.

[chuckles] Good point.

[Demi] Hey. My bad. Whoa!

[playful music]

We can't get caught,
or we'll scare the collector.

I'll keep a lookout
while you use your ghostliness

to get to Gregoria.

Ghostliness is my middle name.

[tense music]

Now!

-[clanks]
-[gasps]

Hmm. I'll have to fix this.

[panting] Almost...

got seen.

Maybe you'd rather keep lookout.

More than anything.

Hmm.

[suspenseful music]

[Vampirina] Gregoria.

Psst. Gregoria!

It's me. You can come to life.

Vee, look out.

[gasps]

[Mr. Thornberg] Is that a...

[stammering] bat?

[Vampirina] Run!

-I mean fly.
-[Mr. Thornberg] Out, out, out!

[groans] Dust, cobwebs, bats.

I'm afraid to think
what else I'll find in these boxes.

Oh, that's it. It's hopeless.

We'll never be able to rescue Gregoria
with that collector nearby.

Demi, Gregoria is a part of our family,

just like you.

We're going to get her out of there.

[Vampirina] We just need a plan.

And I think I've got one.

h*-h*, I love when you say that.

'Cause I got nothin'.

If we can't get Gregoria home,

maybe he can.

Now time to admire
these wonderful treasures.

[gasps] Like you.

Eighteenth-century tin-glazed Majolica!

Ah! What's that?

-[gasps]
-[cuckoo clock striking]

What?

Now, now. Settle down.

[Mr. Thornberg] Settle down.

Okay, what in the ghouly graveyards
is goin' on?

[stammering]

A talking gargoyle? [shrieking]

Seriously, a clock and a quilt dancin'?

That's weird, even for a talkin' gargoyle.

[Gregoria] What's goin' on?

[shatters]

Vee, Demi? You came for me.

Of course, we did.

We'd never let anyone take you.

But I thought you gave me away
with all the other old things.

It was all an accident, Gregoria.

I'd never give you away.

You held my hand the first time
I went to monster preschool.

Huh, seems like just yesterday.

You don't give away friends like that.

Gregoria, I don't know what I'd do
if you weren't around.

You're part of this family.

A cranky part, but a part, nonetheless.

[clears throat]

I got a little somethin' in my eye there.

[chuckles]
That's a tear. That's what that is.

-Haunted hug?
-Haunted hug.

Ooh, I'm gettin' in on this.

[gasps] Demi, hide.

Huh. I knew all of this stuff
was too good to be true.

[Mr. Thornberg] Haunted, all of it.

Uh, Vee, where's he taking Gregoria?

[Vampirina] If it worked
the way I was thinking,

he's taking her back home.

Come on.

-[piano playing]
-[doorbell shrieks]

Here. You can have your stuff back.

But you should know,
it's haunted. All of it!

It is? Oh, that's great news. Thanks.

[shudders]

[Boris] You two won't believe it.

All the stuff we sold is back,

and it turns out,
some of it's even haunted.

That's bat-tacular, Papa.

[groans] And I thought my neck
was stiff before this trip.

Gregoria, how did you get in there?

It's a long story.

But only one thing matters now.

[Vampirina] That Gregoria's back,
safe and sound.

I know I don't say it a lot,

but you guys sure mean the world
to this gargoyle.

And you mean the world to us, Gregoria.

♪ We knew the moment
That we first met you ♪

♪ We had the best gargoyle on the block ♪

♪ There is no way
That we could forget you ♪

♪ We think you totally rock ♪

♪ Oh, Gregoria, you know ♪

I know

♪ We'll never let you go ♪

[Vampirina] "Beast in Show."

[barking]

[giggling]

Wolfie sure loves playing in my backyard.

That's because when he pokes your plants,
they don't poke back.

[laughing] See?

Yoo-hoo, girls.

[Edna] I thought you might like some...

[yelling] Talk about milkshakes!

Gotcha!

What did... how did you...

[laughs] Stop it.

Wolfie certainly is... energetic.

I wanted to bring you girls a snack

-before I head out.
-Where are you going, Mom?

Guess who's judging
the dog show this afternoon?

-Is it...
-Me. It's me!

Edna Peepleson, dog show judge.

Isn't it amazing?

There's a dog show here in Pennsylvania?

You betcha, Vampirina.

Maybe your parents
could bring you two by to watch.

Wolfie here might learn
a thing or two about grace,

and sitting still for a change.

[laughs] Bye-bye.

-Wow!
-I know.

You caught that tray just in time.

Swoosh! Can you imagine
if that milk spilled,

and Wolfie drank it
and turned into a werewolf

right here in my backyard?

Huh? Oh, right. Close one.

But I was just imagining Wolfie
competing in the dog show.

Wolfie?

Turning into a werewolf
isn't his only talent.

Right, boy?

I love Wolfie, but he doesn't really
seem like a dog show kind of dog.

Really? We used to enter shows
all the time

back in Transylvania.

He even won beast in show a few times.

You mean best in show.

No. Beast in show.

Oh, I get it.

This is going to be one of those things
that's totally normal in Transylvania,

but totally not normal in Pennsylvania,
isn't it?

Probably.

In Transylvania, werewolves would compete

to see who could howl the loudest.

[barks, howls]

And who could leap the highest.

[barks, howls]

Pennsylvanian dog shows
are nothing like that.

The winner is the dog
who moves the most gracefully

and sits still for the longest time.

Who wants a dog that sits still?

-Mm-mm.
-With a little practice,

I bet Wolfie could do great
in a Pennsylvanian dog show.

And I know exactly the ghouls to help me.

You know I used to be a dragon trainer,

so a werewolf trainer
will be a walk in the park.

[yelling] Okay, not a walk in the park!

[screams]

-[thuds]
-[glass shattering]

Okay, I'm all right.

Yeah, good thing I can fly through walls.

And fences. [nervous chuckle]

Watch and learn.

If anyone knows how to sit still,
it's Gregoria.

Of course, I know about sitting still.

I've only been doing it
for the past 473 years.

When I don't wanna move, I don't move.

[whining]

Look. I think Wolfie's getting
the hang of it.

And that's what he looks like
right before he...

-Hey!
-...pounces.

Please note,
the gargoyle still hasn't moved.

But that wasn't bad.

I think he just needs
a little more practice.

-[slurps]
-Whoa, whoa, movin' now.

[timer ticking, dings]

[Vampirina] Five seconds!

A new Wolfie world record.

Vee, it's almost time for the dog show.
Are you sure Wolfie...

-[barking]
-[Gregoria] Whoa. Down, Wolfie.

...has had enough training?

-Down, you beast.
-I think so.

Mama, Papa, we're ready to go
to the dog show.

Can't wait to see old Wolfie
compete like he used to.

-Will we need our slobber shield?
-Or our howling muffs?

Not in a Pennsylvanian dog show.

I can't wait for the whole town
to see what a great dog Wolfie is.

♪ Well, I remember the day ♪

♪ We brought you home from the pound ♪

♪ I'd never seen so much puppy drool ♪

♪ You chewed through all of Dad's shoes ♪

♪ Like such a good little hound ♪

♪ And chewed his car
When the moon was full ♪

♪ It's true that every time you wolf out ♪

♪ The neighbors all seem
To freak out and shout ♪

That was never in doubt ♪

-[barking]

Oh, I don't really mean "knock 'em dead."

I mean, you know, let's go dazzle 'em

in a graceful, sitting still kinda way.

-To the dog show.
-[barking]

Hi, Miss Peepleson. Where do we sign up?

Oh, that's adorable, Vampirina.

You don't need to sign up to watch.

You're welcome to sit anywhere.

Uh, Mom, Vee and Wolfie
want to sign up to be in the dog show.

You're entering Wolfie in the dog show?

Yes, please.

I don't think I've ever
seen him sit still,

and as for grace, I mean that he's, well,

he certainly is a special dog.

Yikes. Even Gregoria can't sit that still.

Maybe dog shows here
are too different from Transylvania.

Wolfie just has to try his best.

You believe in him, so I do, too.

Thanks, Poppy.

And this year,
every contestant will take home

Moo Moo Mutt's Real Milk Milky Bones.

Now, with more milk!

Did your mom just say "milk"?

Only about a million times.

If Wolfie has one of those bones,

he'll wolf out in front of the whole town.

That would be bad.

Maybe this isn't such
a good idea after all.

I'm here.

Bridget? What are you doing here?

[Bridget] I thought you and Wolfie
could use more fans in the audience.

Besides, Miss Cuddle Cakes
loves the dog shows.

She likes to see dogs
doing what they're told.

Still having second thoughts, Vee?

Not anymore.

With my friends cheering us on,

what could go wrong?

[boy 1] Sit.

Stay.

[timer dings]

Our next dog to perform is... Wolfie.

Oh, my.

Good luck, Vee.

-[cheering]
-Wolfie, Wolfie. Whoo-hoo!

Sit, Wolfie.

Stay. Stay.

[barking]

Oh, dearie me.

Wolfie's doing great.

-Thanks, Papa.
-[barking]

Good boy, Wolfie.

Wolfie did a great job.

He didn't knock anything over,

and he sat still for six whole seconds.

-I think he might win.
-Really?

I mean, he was pretty cute.

Vee, you gotta get back out there.

All the contestants are lining up.

[Wolfie barks]

-[Wolfie whines]
-Go, Wolfie!

[purring]

[barking]

Stay, Wolfie.

Before I announce the winner,

I want to thank the good people
at Moo Moo Mutt's Real Milk...

-[Edna gasps]
-[Wolfie barks]

[cat meows]

Wolfie! Come back here!

-[cheering]
-Oh, my!

Here, Miss Cuddle Cakes.

-[cat screeching]
-[Wolfie barking]

[overlapping dialogue]

[gasps] Vee, the Milky Bones.

Wolfie! Stop!

[dogs barking]

-Gotcha!
-Everything okay back here?

Well, looks like Wolfie's not going to win
his first Pennsylvania dog show after all.

Sit! Stay!

Everyone, remain calm.

That could've been way worse.

[Poppy] No kidding. If Wolfie had eaten
one of those Milky Bones,

it would've been a disaster.

[Wolfie groans]

What was that?

I'm too afraid to look.

Did Wolfie just eat
a Moo Moo Mutt Real Milk Milky Bone?

Now with more milk.

[all gasping]

Oh! Oh, my!

Now, this is a dog show
fit for Transylvania.

[whistles]

Backstage, everyone.

My mom's coming.

But Wolfie's a werewolf.

We can't let anybody see him.

We have to hide him quick.

What a disaster.

Stay, boy. Please. Please stay.

[groaning]

Uh-oh.

What in the world?

[stammering] Werewolf!

[shrieks]

[whimpering]

It's okay, Mom. It's just Wolfie.

Wolfie?

Yeah, he's, uh...

He's dressed up.

Yeah, for the... costume contest.

Costume what?

Oh, all of the coolest dog shows
have costume contests.

In fact, Wolfie turned into,

I mean, dressed up as a werewolf,
all the time

back in Transylvania. Right, Vee?

Yeah. All the time.

Of course, I knew that.

A costume contest, hmm?

[gasps] It's just,
none of the other dogs have costumes.

We could help the other dog owners
and their parents

make costumes for their dogs.

Yeah. It's the least we could do,

since we kinda interrupted the dog show.

What a wonderful idea.

And it just might save the show.

You girls get to work
while I clean up the stage.

Now, for our grand finale.

The canine costume parade!

[light music]

[bot cheering]

[howling]

[all gasping]

Uh-oh.

[howling continues]

[crowd cheering]

-Whoo-hoo! Yeah, that's a boy!
-Whoo!

And now, our winner.

Best in show goes to...

Precious the poodle!

-[boy 2] Oh, yeah!
-[boy 3] She's the best!

Sorry, Vee.

That's okay.

We didn't win the dog show,

but how could I possibly lose
with friends like you?

And now for a surprise award.

The first-ever prize
for best costume goes to Wolfie,

for his very realistic werewolf outfit.

-[gasps]
-Yay!

[Vampirina] We did it! All right!

Folks, if I didn't know better,

I'd say he was the real thing. [laughs]

Attaboy, Wolfie.

-[growling]
-Uh... good dog.

Oh, Wolfie.

You really are a vampire's best friend.

[all cheering]
