And we are here about to embark upon

tomorrow morning our journey of paranormal

investigation. We are going to start out

looking at some astrology and horoscope

charts, and then we are going to

move on to a tarot card reader that we are

fortunate enough to contact who is opening

up her home to us. And then we are going

to move on to Katie's

abandoned grandmother's

house, where we will sit in the dark

and do ouija board and some other fun

stuff. And then to cap off the entire day,

the part that I think we are both the most

freaked out about, we are going to drive

out to amityville and check out the

house there in amityville where the murders

occurred in the 70s and the subsequent

hauntings began. So, okay, that's me.

electronic voice phenomenon

is? [Katie]: Well, electronic voice

phenomenon was found by mistake actually.

What's his name?

Frederick jorgensen. He was

recording bird songs. He loved to listen to

the bird songs. And on

his playback, he heard

a Norwegian man speaking.

[Courtnay]: Norwegian?

Norwegian man. Interesting

enough. He heard Norwegian

voice, a man discussing

nocturnal bird songs

that he heard. And in

the playback, he realized

that no one was there

present at the time of

the recording. And

he's like, this is strange.

I must have picked up

on some kind of spirit

or phenomena of some sort.

[Courtnay]: So what do we need to

do? We need to turn something on in the

background, like some sort of white noise,

they call it. [Katie]: We

do. And I think hopefully,

the television can do that.

on the snow for a little

in some of our... ooh! In

Sorry, I was just very

close to you when I turned

around. In some of our research, we have

come to find out that

when using the television

for white noise that it does in fact

sometimes show ghostly

images, faces, people standing

in the foreground of like... that looks

like a really nice

ethereal realm of like lush

greenness, something kind of like what you

would imagine the

hereafter looking like. So

for some of it, I'll focus

on the TV. So what

we have to do is just

hit record on the little

recorder there and ask a question and then

wait a few seconds in between questions so

they get a chance to answer. And the white

noise is for... so that they have some sort

of electronic frequency that they can use

to manipulate into sound. So they use those

waves there and they manipulate that sound

to talk to us. So here

spirituality and we really

it. I feel like we can expand.

you know much more about

amityville than I do. We

anticipation has built up. The fact

So the algonquin hotel was listed as a

haunted site along with the Dakota, along

with a few bars downtown and whatnot. You

know, people see like sailors and authors

and there's a tavern

downtown with haunted authors.

And so I was walking home. I was taking

a long way around. I always walk up fifth

Avenue to check out the windows and I

turned down the street. I never turned down

before. This could be chance or

consequence, but

staring right at me was the

algonquin. So I had little chills,

little chills at my spines. But I didn't, I

don't know if that was just a coincidence

or not, but the algonquin is definitely a

haunted house and I

definitely happened upon

it. So, you know, I

take that as a little sign.

[Rob]: Do you remember a little, little

concept from our psych

class about what was it,

erroneous association? A man forgets to

brush his teeth and walks outside the door

and finds a stack of hundred

dollar bills on his porch.

And that man then decides that every

day after that he's going to not brush his

teeth because he hopes

that stack of hundred

dollar bills will be on his

porch again. Total bullshit.

[Katie]: Well.

[Rob]: I mean, like walking along fifth

Avenue and seeing the algonquin is like,

[Katie]: But I never

turned on that street. I

walked down fifth Avenue

and I turned, um, I don't

even know what street it

was on. I turned down like,

[Courtnay]: I'm just noticing something

here on your, on your windshield.

[Rob]: Yeah. [Courtnay]: Is that some

majorly screw up your car?

[Rob]: I told you the, uh, when I sold

the camera, the camera from the dealer.

He shot at me. What

can I say? It was obviously

ricocheted off something, but no, it was

was some fricking construction

[Rob]: Death is not death. That's the

funny thing about it. [Courtnay]: It's not?

rebirth. It's the end of

one thing in the beginning.

It's the beginning of something else

that, you know, it's like when, when winter

covers the land, then, um, then, uh, spring

can, can bring forth renewal, like that

type of sh*t. [Courtnay]: Oh.

[Rob]: Yeah. So I mean,

it's not like you're gonna die.

I believe in god and angels and all that.

I feel like I want to be very, very sure

of the person who's reading my fate to me.

So I just don't want to like gamble that.

very interesting. I feel like,

um, you know, just because

I believe in god doesn't mean

I have, it doesn't mean I

have to, um, you know, 100%.

I 100% believe in god. I do. But I

also feel like a lot of religion kind of

pigeonholes people's spiritual, uh,

you know, [Rob]: If you believe in god

and you also, I assume

believe in, in temptation and evil

in the devil. Then how do you

know tarot is not from Satan?

[Katie]: From Satan? [Rob]: Yeah.

I don't know it's not from Satan.

That's for sure. But I know that

I know people's intentions behind the

use of these tools, for instance, have a

lot to do with it. I really don't think

you can put spirituality and, you know,

spirituality in christianity or, um,

every, every facet

of religion. I feel like it

goes beyond that. And I feel like going

to church and saying hail Mary's and all

that kind of pigeonholes my spirituality

for me personally, I'm not saying

everybody feels that

way, but I feel that my

spirituality can really

grow and has no limits.

[Katie]: And I, and

exploring every realm of,

of. [Rob]: No, I dig

that. I dig exploring every

realm, but you're getting someone to tell

you what's going to happen in your life.

[Katie]: But she's not

telling, telling, making

it up telling it's, it's

all chance in a way

too. And, and also what you are told, you

have the control to better that situation

and you have the knowledge now to see

how you can make it through that situation.

But now if Courtney said, hey, I'm going

to read you tarot cards, I would fully

100% do that. And in fact, I've never

so that's why I'm referring to this.

are peaceful, truce, balance, attained, but

eventually issues will

have to be confronted.

So that's what it means. This could

be for or against you. That's why the

card is on its side. It's neither positive

nor negative. It's just somewhere in

the middle. So when I read it to you, I'll

read you both meanings

and you'll choose which one

is more suitable for you. I

don't know, but you might.

And the seven of cups,

what does each each cup has

something inside it? And

even a cup is covered as well.

In every deck, it's different. So I just

look at the number. I don't really focus

too much of what this particular artist

chose except that it's nice. The concept is

unique. But for me, that just distracts

from the meaning. But if you want a basic

understanding of the suit of cups,

a cup, what's the purpose of a cup?

To hold. To hold

something. To hold water.

Okay. So if your cup is upside down,

it's not really a cup. It's not really

fruitful. It's not really helpful. But so

the card is on its side. So sometimes

you spill a glass and there's some left in

it. There's some spilled out. So it may

not necessarily be all that bad. But a good

reading for a card would

be right side up because it's

fulfilling its nature and its

purpose. If it had been in this way.

It means allowing fantasies to influence

how you view life. More objectivity is

needed projecting onto others. So if

you had to ask me, I'd say you're in a very

idealistic mode right now. You're very

hopeful for the future. You want a lot of

magical things to happen or come your

way. And that's very nice that I could tell

that you're very young. This is

something a very young person is getting an

education and that kind

of thing. But that's fine.

That's fine. There's nothing wrong with

that at all. It's very nice. It's great. So

the third card is above you. What is

that? It says card number five. Tradition.

[Katie]: Since we're on the subject

since we live in New York and

we're very close to this place

um, is the amityville house.

The eldest son of the

family one night, just

as the story goes, lost his mind and k*lled

his entire family with a

g*n, but the things that are

weird about it are that

his defense, the defense

he used was that, in

his trial, was that the

house is haunted and

not just by, like, ghosts,

but an actual evil presence,

meaning, like, you know...

[Katie]: Demonic.

Demonic.

[Katie]: From hell.

Satan, that kind of thing.

And that it made him go crazy and that

basically that the house

made him k*ll his family.

Everyone in the family was k*lled

with a g*n, but here's the catch.

They were all found in their beds

lying face down with no signs of struggle.

And the g*n that he used is very loud,

so the shots should have been heard.

So people argue, "oh, well,

there was thunder and lightning."

Well, then why did the people

in the house not wake up?

Because if you're inside

a house, you're going to

hear that g*nsh*t or, you know,

you're going to at least hear...

[Overlapping][Katie]: Feel the vibration.

One of the five g*nshots.

[Overlapping] Or someone

would try to run and struggle.

Yeah.

Somebody would try to run or somebody

would try to struggle, but nobody did.

They were all found

face down in their beds.

No signs of struggle or

anything at all, for that matter.

And they just died, all of them.

And he k*lled his entire family.

The demonic forces in

the house, you know, held

them there in that position,

held them face down.

That's why there were no

signs of struggle, because they

couldn't move because they

were being demonically possessed.

[Katie]: They had no

control over their bodies.

Right.

He went from room to room

with this g*n and shot everyone in

his family, at plain flank

range, in the head, in the chest.

Just all of them k*lling shots.

And then he ran out of

the house to a local bar

and said that everyone

in his family was dead.

It's just really scary, because

nobody heard the shots.

The family didn't struggle,

and he claims that the

house was possessed and

that the devil made him do it.

Those kind of evil spirits that were

there were able to kind of take control of

him, take control of his mind, and

influence him to k*ll his entire family.

So, it's like we've got this perfectly

nice American family moving into this

beautiful house, and within

months they're all dead

except for the son who claims

that the house made him do it.

And that he heard voices of

his men telling it to k*ll his family.

So that's where we're going.

We're thinking that after this day that

we've set ourselves up energetically and

spiritually to be able to send or pick

up anything that may be lingering there.

[Katie]: The sign there

said, did you see that sign?

[Courtnay]: I think that was it.

[Courtnay]: Well, if there's lights

on at the house, I can see lights.

[Indecipherable]

[Katie]: Alright, we're out. We're just

going to the house and see what we can see.

And then maybe he'll go back

inside so he can pass by a little closer.

[Katie]: He's going to his car.

someone's following us.

[Courtnay]: Rob, there's someone following

us. Just pick up the pace a little bit.

just drove past us, so let's turn around.

right behind us and it

freaked me out, so...

[Katie]: It was definitely weird. I

definitely feel kind of slimed in a way.

[Courtnay]: Yeah.

day, even, you know?

[Katie]: And I suppose even not

knowing events taking place at that house,

[Katie]: I'm sure I

would still feel something

creepy. [Overlapping][Courtnay]:

Its just creepy.

abnormal amount of traffic on this street.

Like the fact that the family came right

out of the house after

we tried to walk up to

it and get a close-up shot.

You know, I just think it's weird.

It's definitely creepy to

see the house, like, for real.

Maybe we'll get one last look at it.

[Katie]: Yeah, let's
