"Bat to the Future."

Ah-ha!

Esmeralda, I found
your other slipper.

Wonderful, Vampirina, my dear.

I've had a marvelously
spooktastic stay

here at the Scare B&B,
which I knew I would,

because I'm the world's greatest
fortune-teller

and I'm never wrong.

I appreciate your help
packing up.

No problem. We always
want to make sure

our guests leave happy
and screamy.

-Any luck, you two?
-I got her headband.

And I found a deck
of fortune-teller cards.

Can you really tell
the future with these things?

Why, of course you can,

if you have the gift of seeing
the future, like I do.

Aah! The cheerful bunny card.

Oh! Oh, that has to be
the worst of them all.

Well, that's everything.

You have my many thanks,
dear monsters.

No problem.

Though you'd think
a fortune-teller

would know where
all her stuff is.

And with that,
I must be off.

Are you sure you don't want to
stay another night, Esmeralda?

Our family is throwing
one of our famous

surprise parties tomorrow.

It's the vampire kind
of surprise party too.

You know, where the hosts
spook the guests.

And no one loves a good
surprise more than Vee.

Alas, I cannot.

I ordered a brand-new turban
through Deliver-eek,

and I predict that...

[gasps]

...I must be home
to sign for it.

Farewell!

[gasps]
She disappeared!

[straining]

A little help?

[Vampirina]
Oh, good work.

The guest room's
spook-and-span.

Never been cleaner.

That calls for
a snack break.

Huh? Whoa.

-Boo-tiful.
-Sparkly.

It looks like
a crystal ball.

Hey, do you think
it's Esmeralda's?

Fortune-tellers are always
gazing into stuff like this.

[crystal ball]
Yes, I belong to Esmeralda.

I'm Crystal Ball 9.0,

a magical object that can
predict the near future.

-Whoa!
-Great ghosts!

This seems like a really rare
magical item.

I'll hold on to it
until Esmeralda comes back.

And since Esmeralda's
a fortune-teller,

she probably already knows
it's missing.

I say we help ourselves
to that snack I mentioned.

-Yup.
-Sounds good to me.

I do not eat, but thank you.

Wow, I wish I could have
stopped by to see Esmeralda.

Is she coming to your
surprise party tomorrow?

She can't make it,

but she did read our fortunes
before she had to go.

She said I'd live a long
and happy afterlife.

I don't know
how she does it.

[barking]

[giggles]

You're excited to see
all your dog friends

to chase squirrels, right?

Uh-huh. Wolfie, no!

so he can only transform
if he gets into some...

milk.

No, it-it-it can't be.

The ice-cream truck!

Which means frozen milk.

We got to find Wolfie,
and fast!

Should we try squeaking
his favorite ball?

[gasps]
That's it!

We can use this.

Um, Miss Crystal Ball?

Can you tell us
where Wolfie is going

to chase the squirrel to?

[crystal ball]
One moment.

Wolfie will soon
corner Mr. Nutty

at this tree.

[barking]

That's the gate
near the park entrance.

If we hurry,
we can beat Wolfie there.

Gotcha!

Phew. That could've been bad.

Wolfie you scared us so much,
and not in the good way.

[barks and pants]

Sure was a good thing

we had that crystal ball,
Vee.

Yeah, it really was.

Maybe this crystal ball
could be a big help.

What do you mean?

If I know the future,
I know what's coming next.

I'd know if Wolfie
is going to transform

when he's not supposed to,

or I could even get a heads-up
if Demi ghosts into school.

Yeah, I do do that a lot,
don't I?

[laughs]

Knowing the future would fix
all kinds of problems.
