zoomy today, Vee.

Really zoomy.

That's because Swampy
will be here any minute.

She's one of my closest
friends from Transylvania,

and she's never visited
Pennsylvania before.

I can't wait to show her
my home, my friends.

And the best part will be
the Firefly Festival tonight.

The festival
is pretty magical.

The human kind of magical,
that is.

Yup, just the whole town
having a picnic,

watching the fireflies
come out.

I told Swampy about it
last year,

and she just had
to come see.

Come on, she should be arriving
any minute.

-Is Swampy here?
-Not yet, batkins.

We thought you might want
to do the honors.

[gasps and squeals]

Swampy! I missed you so much.

-It's felt like centuries.
-I know.

But we're going to have the most
spooktacular time.

It's going to be a splash,
like always.

Guess what I brought?

Our friendship bracelets.
You remembered.

Of course I did.

[frogs croak]

[both squeal and giggle]

Aw, isn't that sweet?

Yeah, and loud.

[giggles]

I just can't believe
I'm finally here.

over 100 ghost" a hug.

I feel like we're friends

I'm excited to learn all about
your new home.

Especially the Firefly Festival.

Guess I was so excited
to come to Pennsylvania,

I forgot a few things.

Why did your dad
send you a tank?

I'm the type
of swamp monster

that needs a lot of water
for my gills.

So I bring it when I visit
other monsters.

[sighs and giggles]

-Whoa.
-That's so neat.

I remember this tank.

Oh! Me too!

And your pet fish, Gilbert.

Look, he remembers me.

See?

Now that Swampy
has her tank,

why don't you girls
get settled?

Mama and I have lots to do.

Edna gave us a very important
job for the Firefly Festival.

We are in charge of chairs.

Chairs? That doesn't sound
too hard.

Trust me, my mom takes
planning the festival seriously.

Figuring out the seating
is a pretty big job.

Now that you've met
my friends,

what should we do next?

All I can think about
is the Firefly Festival.

Can we go to the park early?

I brought all kinds
of snacks to take with us,

just like our picnics
in Transylvania.

-Spookalicious.
-Great idea.

-Yum.
-Now there's a monster

after my own heart.

Let's get to the park
so we can eat them already.

Ghouly good idea.

We'll show Swampy
the neighborhood along the way.

Whew, it sure is hot.
And dry.

We're kind of in a heat wave.
You okay, Swampy?

Oh, you don't have
to be embarrassed.

I don't think
that's it.

Uh-oh, it's the gillies.

Like the batties?

Sort of. It happens when I'm out
of the water too long.

But don't worry.
Where's your nearest marsh?

-Uh...
-Swamp? Creek?

Moat?

You mean like the water
around a castle?

Our neighborhood
doesn't really have that.

Then I'll just
get a quick splash...

in here.

-Or not.
-Maybe we should go back inside.

[sighs]

-Feeling better, kiddo?
-A lot better.

How come you never
got the gillies

when we used to hang out?

I guess because we only
hung out in Transylvania.

And it wasn't as dry and hot
as it is here.

I'm sorry that Pennsylvania

isn't very
swamp monster-friendly.

That's okay,
but how are we going to get

to the Firefly Festival?

I don't know.

But we'll figure
something out.

Hm.

Ah-ha!

Do you have an idea, Demi?

No, but I thought if I acted
like I had one,

it would come to me.

[gasps]
I've got it.

We can bring my tank with us.

That way, I can just jump in
for a quick dip whenever I need.

Bat-tastic plan.

Allow me.

[grunts]

Hi.

Guess it's a little heavier
than I thought.

Let someone a little more solid
give it a try.

[strains]

Everybody, push.

[all grunt]

I guess we need
a new plan.

Whew, if only there were
more pit stops

with water along the way.

Isn't there some kind of
Transylvanian way to do that?

Actually, there is, and I know
just the ghost for the job.

We'll just float on to the park,

and when you need
to take a splash,

I'll make some water
with a puddle spell.

Like so. Ahem...

We have none
but we want oodles.

Fill the ground
with lots of poodles.

-[dogs barking]
-Did I say poodles?

I meant puddles.
Puddles!

Puddles would have been
more helpful.

But poodles
sure are cute.

Is this a Pennsylvania werewolf?

Not exactly.

Oh, no.
Here come the gillies again.

I'd better get back
to my tank.

Feeling better, Swampy?

Right as rain.

But we couldn't
move my tank,

and we got poodles
instead of puddles.

What if there's no way
for me to get to the park?

Don't worry.
I have another idea.

Uh, Vee, this ghost is looking
a little flat.

[giggles]
It's our ghoul pool.

All it needs is some air.

Oh, right.
Oh, then allow me.

Wait, don't blow it up
until we're--

[inhales deeply and blows]

Outside.

[all laugh]

[Vampirina]
This ghoul pool is a lot lighter
than your tank.

We should have no problem
moving it.

Perfect. I love swimming!

I call this
my froggy stroke.

And this is
my ghosty stroke.

[Gregoria]
Ahem!

You're supposed
to be helping, remember?

Oh, right.

-[all grunting]
-Whoa!

Sorry. Might be a little bumpy.

It's okay.

Anything to get
to the festival.

Uh, Vee...?

Aw, shrieks.

-So much for the ghoul pool.
-Now what?

Vee, I think you should go
to the festival without me.

Nothing's working,
and it's getting late.

But, Swampy,
you came all this way

to see the fireflies.

I know, but I don't want you
to miss it, either.

I can see why
you love it here.

Your friends and neighbors
are really great.

And I bet the festival
will be too.

But maybe Pennsylvania
just isn't for me.

Uh-oh, the gillies.

I'd better go.

Swampy, wait.

Oh, this is terrible.

I wanted Swampy to have
an amazing visit,

but she can't if she doesn't
feel welcome in Pennsylvania.

Don't worry, Vee.

We'll all stay
with you and Swampy

instead of going
to the festival.

Maybe we can have
a sleepover.

that Swampy can't go
just because she has gills.

[sighs]

That won't be a problem.

I gave Mama and Papa a new idea
for the seating arrangements

that had more of that Hauntley
touch they were looking for.

Frogs and fins,
this is amazing.

The Firefly Festival
is most fun

when everyone
can watch together.

And we never leave
a ghoul behind.

Or a ghoul pool.

[laughs]

Trust me,
on a hot summer day,

this is much more
comfortable.

For swamp monsters
and humans.

[all laugh]

Well, Hauntleys,
I have to say,

this is an interesting
interpretation of chairs.

But people do seem to enjoy it.

Actually, it was all
Vee's idea.

no help from invisible spirits.

family wand you can use.
