so I decided to draw someplace cool.

It's a place with lots of water,

lots of sand,

and lots of sunshine.

That's a pretty good guess.

What? What do you mean you can't see it?

[laughs] I'm just kidding.

You can't see it
because I drew it with a white crayon.

To make this drawing visible,
all you need is a little color.

I'm gonna start
with some of this sandy brown.

And now watch what happens.

We'll add some blue.

[gasps] I see some clouds!

And a nice, bright orange.

Ooh!

OK.

a beach!

With cool ocean waves,

a sandy beach,

and a nice, warm sun.

like the ones detectives use

to find clues and solve mysteries.

When you look through it,
it makes things bigger. See?

Look how big it makes my eye look.

[gasps] Hmm.

Maybe there's a mystery
in the Dollhouse that needs solving.

play detectives with us today?

Time to get tiny.

Welcome to the Dollhouse, Detective.

We need to solve
the mystery of the missing Pandy Paws.

I don't see him anywhere.

But the first step
to being a good detective

is using all your senses to find clues.

Sometimes, we smell things… [sniffs]

…or touch things,

or hear things
that help us solve a mystery.

-[munching]
-[Gabby gasps]

Do you hear that?

[munching continues]

It sounds like it's coming
from the other side of this door.

Do you think Pandy could be in there?

Let's find out.

We used our ears to follow your crinkle,
crinkle, crunch sounds.

And we detect
that you're making something with lemons.

We used our noses and we smelled them.

[sniffs]

what I'm making with them?

A glass of ice-cold lemonade
is the perfect drink

for a hot day like today.

-Can we help you make it?
-Of course!

It's super simple and super tasty.

First, we need to squeeze the juice from
four lemons into this pitcher of water.

This is gonna be easy-peasy,
lemon-squeezy!

[Pandy grunts]

I can't get any juice out of this thing.

That's because
you have to cut it in half first.

Phew! Much easier.

We just made some lemonade.
Do you want some?

Ah. Don't mind if I do.

I could really use something
to help me beat the heat

and cool down a little.

It is seriously hot out there today.

-[Cakey] Here you go, CatRat.

for a summertime snack,

and a nice, chilled lemon bar
always cools me down.

to bring the lemon bars up to Baby Box.

Why don't we just take them up in the pan?
They'll still taste just as delicious.

Now, before we take
the lemon bars to Baby Box,

we need to look around
and see if there are any clues

to tell us what happened
to the snack basket.

All I see is a whole lot of sugar.

Hmm. Me too.

But let's take a closer look.

I bet whoever took the basket
left these paw prints.

Let's see where they lead.

inside the Cat-A-Vator.

Whoever took the basket
must have taken Cat-A-Vator

to another room in the Dollhouse.

We need to check
the other rooms for paw prints.

Let's start in the craft room.

We can take the lemon bars up to Baby Box

and see if there are
any more paw prints there.

and we're trying to solve a mystery.

These will really help me cool down

when I'm relaxing
in my fan-tabulous cooling system.

Your fan-tabulous cooling system?

What's that?

It's a craft-y-riffic invention
that I'm making to help me beat the heat.

Do you want to see how I make it?

Great! Then let's get crafting.

Whee!

First, we need to make a paper fan.

You can make one too.

Pick any paper you want.

I'm using green
so mine looks like a palm tree.

I like this blue paper.
It makes me think of the ocean.

I'll use this yellow paper.
It reminds me of the lemon bars.

Now take your paper and fold it like this.

Over, under, over, under, over!

Like an accordion!

Easy-peasy, mac-and…

breezy!

Ah…

Now, to make my cooling system,
I need a paper towel roll.

I already attached two fans to this one.

I'll slide my fan in
right here at the top.

I'll use my trusty glue

and add a few
little pom-pom coconuts around it.

Boop, boop, boop!

And stick it down into my clay island.

-Boop!
-Ooh!

I'm gonna tie one end
of the pom-pom string to the fan

and run the other end through this hole.

Then I'll be able to pull on it
to wave the fan and cool myself off.

Let me just grab my pom-pom string.

Huh.

-Where did my pom-pom string go?
-Uh-oh.

Something else is missing?

This case is getting more
and more mysterious.

My invention won't work now!

Alright, Baby Box.

Your pom-pom string is missing, but maybe
there's something else we can use

to finish
your fan-tabulous cooling system.

Oh, yeah!

We can use our detective skills

to help you find something to use
instead of the pom-pom string.

[Gabby] Do you see something
we could tie to the fan and pull?

Since we started,

and now someone took the last lemon bar
while I was sitting right here.

Pandy, we can't give up now.

The first step to being a good detective
is remembering to use all your senses.

We haven't solved our mystery yet,

but maybe that's because we haven't used
our senses to find all the clues.

[Pandy sniffs]

I don't smell any clues.

I don't feel any clues.

And the only clue I see

are those footprints
that we already followed to the window.

But maybe there's a clue we can hear.

Now, that's thinking
like a good detective.

So let's use our ears
to listen for another clue.

Do you hear anything unusual?

[voice] Ah.

Hmm. I've definitely never heard
those sounds before.

It sounds like
they're coming from the garden.

We've got to be getting close.

I think whoever took the snack basket,

the pom-pom string, and the lemon bar

also took Kitty Fairy's watering can.

Let's use our ears

and listen for those unusual sounds
we heard in the craft room.

The ones that sounded like…
[mimics rustling]

[giggles]

[slurps]

Ah.

Exactly!

Maybe if we get quiet,
we can hear them again.

Listen with us.

It's the unusual sounds!

And they're coming
from that path. Let's go!

and we don't know which way to go.

Let's use our ears
to figure out which path to follow.

Well, I needed to help
these poor little Me-Owls cool down,

so I found some premium shade,

borrowed some odds and ends
from around the Dollhouse,

grabbed a quick snack for the way,
and… [munches]

-Mm. Voila!
-[Baby Me-Owls giggling]

Me-hoo! Me-hoo! [giggles]

[laughs] See? They love it!

And I'll put everything back
when I'm done. Promise. [munches] Mm.

What about the lemon bar?

Hmm? Oh.

-Maybe not the lemon bar.
-[laughs]

The first thing you need
is a big sheet of paper,

so you have something to paint on.

Then, to make the ice cube paints,
you're going to need an ice cube tray.

[gasps] Me-hoo! Me-hoo!

[CatRat] Next,
you're gonna fill the tray with water.

The next thing you need
is super important.

Food coloring.

My favorites are red,

yellow,

and blue.

I got you, little buddy!

-Me-hoo! Me-hoo!
-Watch this.

You put in some red,

then a little yellow, and…

Ha-cha!

…you've got yourself some orange!

Me-hoo! Me-hoo!

[CatRat] Then,
if you use a little blue and a little red,

before you know it, you have purple!

Huh?

Me-hoo!

[CatRat] When you're done
adding all the colors you want,

you want to add some sticks

so you don't end up
with paint on your paws.

Me-hoo! Me-hoo!

Aha. Great work!

Now we just need
to stick that ice tray in the freezer.
