04x04 - The Triangle Sisters/Miss Information

Post by bunniefuu »

[Orli] My name is Agent Orli.

And this is my partner, Agent Ozzie.

This is my favorite band.

Back to us.

We work for an organization run by kids

that investigates anything strange, weird,

and especially odd.

Our job is to put things right again.

[dramatic music]

[bubbles popping]

[child yells]

News time!

[animal growls]

[group cheers]

[Orli] We are Odd Squad.

[investigative music]

[Captain O] "The Triangle Sisters."

[light music]

♪ Doodly do, it's my paperwork song ♪

And now Orli's here, so I'd stop singing.

I have so much paperwork to do.

So maybe now's a good time to take a break

and get some pizza from Osgood because it's pizza day!

No, I have to sort these files.

Although I might treat myself

and order them alphabetically instead of my case number.

Excuse me?

Allow me.

[upbeat music]

Done.

Now pizza time?

Okay.

Let's go.

[Captain O] Orli, Ozzie, in my office now.

Do you think we have time to get some pizza?

Absolutely not.

Something very odd has happened.

There's an odd theft at the museum.

Oh, wait a minute.

That's my pizza. [sighs]

Here's the case file.

We're on it, Captain O.

[Orli] Quick question.

Is there much pizza left?

Plenty.

Cheese, pepperoni, and Osgood's specialty--

mint chocolate chip pizza.

Wait, is mint chocolate chip pizza popular over here?

Not at all. Let's go.

[guard] Follow me this way. Have a look at this.

[Ozzie] What exactly was stolen?

Everything that was square.

Hmm.

So any shape with four equal sides

and four equal corners?

Exactly. All the square paintings are gone.

[air whooshing]

They even took the square door.

But they left all the paintings

and objects that are other shapes?

[Orli gasps]

Do you happen to have a security camera

that might have recorded the theft?

Yes. They didn't steal that 'cause it's rectangle.

Unfortunately, it only shows them at the door.

Look.

[Ozzie] I know these villains.

It's the Triangle Sisters.

Orli, let's go pay them a visit.

Before or after pizza?

Tammy, my dear sister.

Odd Squad is here to see us.

Odd Squad. How delightful.

What brings you here?

We saw footage of you at the museum yesterday evening.

So we know you stole all the square

paintings from the museum.

Ew, ew! Ew ew, ew, ew!

-Squares? -Yeah, ew, ew, ew, ew.

Trina and I are the triangle sisters.

We only like triangles.

[Trina] Like this painting here.

Three sides. That's a triangle.

Their sides can be any length

just as long as there's three of them.

Look around.

And yet, you accuse us.

[crying] It makes me so sad.

Oh dear Tammy. Oh dear.

But then why were you at the museum yesterday evening?

I left my handkerchief there, so I had to go and get it.

[Tammy cries]

When it was closed.

Tammy needs lots of handkerchiefs for the crying.

So much crying.

And there was no door, so we assumed it was open.

Wait, you're saying the door was already

gone when you arrived?

Oh yes.

-Really? -Really.

-Really? -Really.

I'm gonna jump in real quick to help move this along.

Ozzie. There's no evidence they stole the squares.

It's the least you can do since you falsely accused us.

[triangle dings]

[Trina vocalizing off-key]

Yep. Sounds great.

But we better be off now. Bye.

You're such a talent.

Thank you.

[triumphant music]

So we need to find a villain that steals squares.

According to Orwell,

all the square villains are out of town

on a tour of town squares.

Oh, we hit a dead end.

I have an idea.

Let's have a quick break

and think about this over some pizza

before all the good flavors run out.

No, there's no time to relax.

Go for Ozzie.

The pentagons have been stolen.

The what?

All the pentagon-shaped paintings are gone,

including the other door, which was also a pentagon.

Pull up a pentagon.

That's any shape with five sides and five corners.

[Ozzie] So you didn't see who it was?

No, I closed the museum at lunchtime

so I can feed my cats.

So we're looking for a pentagon villain.

-Not exactly. -What?

I just sent you some security footage that might help.

-Thank you. -[beep]

It's the Triangle Sisters again.

But who's that third person?

I don't know, but we're going to find out.

Hey Ozzie, hey Orli.

Just a heads up.

All the pepperoni pizza's gone,

but there's some cheese left.

Oh, and plenty of mint chocolate chip.

Ozzie. Maybe we should get some cheese pizza for the road.

No, there's no time.

We have to go.

When will you learn, Osgood.

No one wants mint chocolate chip pizza.

Let's cut to the chase, Trina and Tammy.

Who are you working with?

[both gasp]

Someone who likes pentagons.

[Tammy crying]

There you go, setting dear Tammy off again.

And now you bring sweet Tess into it?

[both] Who's Tess?

She's our other sister.

Hello, Odd Squad.

But she's not wearing triangles.

I love triangles,

but I happen to have other interests,

like playing the clarinet.

[clarinet trills]

But why were you at the museum

if you weren't stealing pentagons?

After we retrieved Tammy's handkerchief,

I accidentally left my triangle pencil there.

And I decided to help Trina get it back

because it's a very special pencil,

and that's what sisters do.

And when we turned up, the door was gone.

So we assumed we were allowed in.

And you're saying the door definitely wasn't stolen by you.

Why would we steal a pentagon-shaped door?

We only like triangles.

Isn't that right, Tissaia?

[both] Who's Tissaia?

-Me. -She's our other sister.

Are you going to accuse her now as well?

-Nope. -Nope.

We are willing to forgive and forget

as long as you'll do us another favor.

Fine. What is it?

Tissaia, hit it.

Can you hear my beautiful singing voice over her guitar?

They only like triangles.

But so far only squares and pentagons have gone missing.

Hi.

Why aren't you at the museum?

Well, I closed up for my -minute afternoon nap,

and you'll never guess what happened.

They came back and stole a different shaped door?

Oh, you did guess what happened.

Yes. It was a rectangle door.

Hmm. A rectangle.

A shape with four sides, four angles,

and opposite sides are equal length.

And you'll never guess what happened next.

Stole everything that was a rectangle shape?

Oh, you guessed that too.

But why did you come here instead of calling us?

'Cause there's nothing left to guard at the museum.

They even took my rectangle-shaped tablet.

Now I can't take pictures of my cats.

Use this.

Ooh.

Say cheese!

Oh, Tiddles is gonna love this.

I think we need to take a break.

No, I'm not giving up.

It's not giving up. It's just taking a break.

Five minutes away from a problem

can give you a fresh perspective on how to solve it.

And what better way to take a break than with pizza?

Pizza!

Osgood?

Osgood, please, please,

tell me you still have some pizza left.

Absolutely, you can have

all the mint chocolate chip pizza you like.

-Delicious. -Yuck.

You won't like it.

Either way, we're having a pizza break.

Take a seat.

Thanks, Osgood.

Enjoy.

Well, here we go.

Stop.

I'm confused.

You wanted pizza all day but now you don't want it?

These slices are triangles.

[Ozzie] Okay?

Two of them can make a square

when they're arranged like this.

What does this have to do with--

And four of them make a rectangle.

Oh, I get it now.

And three of them make a pentagon.

These are the same shapes that were stolen

from the museum.

Squares, pentagons, and rectangles.

And they can all be made with triangles.

So it was the Triangle Sisters!

They tricked us into thinking that it wasn't them

when all along they were stealing shapes

that could be made out of triangles.

I guess a pizza break was what we needed after all.

Let's go.
