[Orli] My name is Agent Orli,
and this is my partner, Agent Ozzie.
This was my first pet rock.
Back to us.
We work for an organization run by kids
that investigates anything strange,
weird, and especially odd.
Our job is to put things right again.
[creature growls]
[whoosh]
[gadget zaps]
[all] Oh!
Whooo!
News time!
[zaps]
[ding]
[growls][all cheering]
We are Odd Squad!
[stirring theme music]
[Captain O] "The Other Ozzie."
[playing rock riff]
Thank goodness you're here, Odd Squad!
What seems to be the problem, ma'am?
It's easier if I just show you.
[plays rock riff]
There doesn't seem to be anything wrong
with your keyboard guitar thing.
It's a "keytar."
But that wasn't the keytar.
[clock plays rock riff]
[jacket plays rock riff]
[Orli] I think we can fix this.
[gadget dings]
Hold out your hand, please, ma'am.
[zap]
Try now.
[no sound]
[no sound]
Have you fixed it?
Ouch!
I can't believe it!
Please, believe it.
Thank you, Odd Squad!
Happy to help, ma'am.Have a great day.
[whooshing]
Hmm.
[keytar makes no sound]
My music!
Odd Squad!
Hey, Captain O.
You wanted to see me?
[funky beat plays]
Hey.[ding]
Why did Ozzie's teeth just sparkle and make that sound?
This is Oz, not Ozzie.
He's from an alternate universe.
Seriously?
Yep. Occasionally, we'll swap an agent
with one from another dimension.
Ozzie is there now,
and Oz is from a world exactly like ours,
except everyone there is a movie star.
Every case ends with an exciting chase
to catch the villain
and me saying something cool, like,
"It's all in a day's work...
for Odd Squad."
[funky music fizzles out]
We usually end our cases with math.
[Captain O] Speaking of cases,
a villain turned our mayor purple
and must be stopped before they do it again.
Time for an exciting chase to catch the villain!
Hold on, Oz.
We need to work out who the villain is.
This is where I come in.
Agent Orwell, what can you tell us
about the villain who turned the mayor purple?
There are villains in town.
[screen beeps]
And any one of them could have done this...
to the mayor!
[gasps]
We need to figure out who it is.
I think it's the mayor.
I meant we need to work out
which villain turned the mayor purple.
Let's go!
Does he know where he's going?
Nope.
[Oz] I'm really lost!
Onit, please send us to the exact location
where the town mayor was turned purple.
On it! Map coordinate: F.
What's a map condiment?
Because it sounds delicious.
A map coordinate
is a way to find an exact place on a map.
You can place a grid over it, like this.
[grid beeping]
There are letters along the side
and numbers along the bottom.
Where the lines that come from
those letter and number meet is called a map coordinate.
So here, where the mayor was turned purple,
is coordinate F.
[Orli] On it.
We really need to hurry.
Okay, sending you to the town square.
Thanks. Come on, Oz.
[whoosh]
Oh, Odd Squad! Thank goodness you're here.
Mr. Mayor, can you describe
the villain that turned you purple?
Not really. I'm not great with faces, Agent Oslo.
Agent Orli, sir.
All I can tell you is the villain had dark hair
just like mine.
Hmm.
[Orli] Any ideas, Oz?
Uh...
[calculations buzzing]
[suspenseful music swells]
None at all.[sighs]
You see, in my universe,
they give me a movie script
which tells me what to think.
So I'm kind of lost without it.
Okay.
I'll talk you through what we need to do.
And you'll have to excuse me.
I have to go get my mayor portrait repainted
because I'm purple now.
[gadget whooshes]
Here's Orwell's grid of villains.
If we cross out everyone who doesn't have dark hair,
we can narrow down our search.
[beeping]
Aha! Eleven of the twenty villains don't have dark hair.
So we know none of them turned him purple.
That leaves nine villains that it could be.
[gadget beeps]
And you're doing this without a script?
Uh-huh.It's like a magic trick!
[Odd Squad theme rings]
It's Orli.
Purple Villain has struck again!
Where? Where?
[Onit] Map coordinate C.
[Orli] Agent Onit, can you please just say the place
where the villain struck?
It was the library.Thank you!
Orli out.
Come on, Oz! Let's go!
Hello, Miss Librarian.
I'm Agent Oz, from Odd Squad.
[very loud] Thank you for coming, Odd Squad!
Do all the librarians in your universe shout?
Nope, just this one.
As you can see, I'm purple!
This is bad news
because I have a librarians' costume party tonight,
and the theme was purple last time!
This time it's super-cool headdresses.
[chuckles]
[gasps]
What can you tell us about the villain who did it, ma'am?
I'm not great with faces
or whispering!
They did return a book, though,
called "Purple: A Villain's Guide."
This fell out of it.
An "Odd-tober the th" invite?
That's a weird holiday we celebrate in Odd Squad HQ.
[Oz] Interesting.
I think it's time for me to step into my mind computer.
[dramatic chord plays]
What's he doing?
[calculations buzzing]I think he's...
thinking.
Anyway, four villains attended Odd-tober the th this year.
[gadget whooshes]
We have Parched Pat, the Square Squire,
Florescent Flori, and the Striped Bandit.
Florescent Flori's grayed out.
[Orli] That's right. So that leaves Parched Pat,
the Square Squire, and the Striped Bandit.
We can eliminate everyone but them from the grid.
[gadget whooshes]
One of them is our villain.
[beeping stops][poof]
[Oz gasps]
I've got...[stirring music]
nothing.
Without a script, I'm useless.
Super cool.
[ding]
But useless.
[phone rings]
[beeps]It's Orli.
Apparently the villain has struck again!
At coordinate F.
You know what I'm going to say, don't you, Agent Onit?
Can I just tell you the name of the place?
It's the park.
[Orli] Thank you! Let's go, Oz.
[whoosh]
Help me! I'm purple.
And a park keeper! Those things do not mix.
If I was green, I could blend right in,
lying in wait for litter!
[clacking]
Oz?
Why don't you take this one?
Without a script? What should I say?
Ask a question.
Excuse me, sir.
What can you tell us--
About the villain.
about the villain...
who turned you purple?
I'm not great with faces.
But I did notice
that they weren't that interested
in playing ball or skipping.
Only hopscotch.
[Orli] Hmm, the hopscotch court is made of squares,
four-sided shapes with equal sides.
And the mayor was purpled in the town square.
Then there was the librarian's square headdress.
So stylish!
Maybe our villain is a fan of squares.
[whoosh]
[gadget beeping]
The Square Squire! That's our villain!
[beeping]
Now it's time for an exciting chase to catch him!
Not yet!
The Square Squire is a super fast villain
who is really hard to catch.
We have to be able to predict where he'll be next.
Oh, ah!
Orli?
I think I've had...
an idea!
Without a script?
Yes!
We need to go and see Agent Onit!
Please, could you connect up the map coordinates
where the Square Squire has already struck?
Gladly.
He struck the library, the town square,
and the park.
Map coordinates C, F, and F.
[Oz] He's making a square!
And he just has to strike one more corner,
and the square is complete!
Squares have sides that are all the same length.
So the fourth corner would need to be here--
map coordinate C, Square Street.
Okay, that makes sense.
Let's go before he strikes again.
Wait! Does that mean...
Yes, Oz.
It's time for an exciting chase to catch the villain.
[whoosh]
[hand zaps]
[upbeat chase music]
[both] Odd Squad, Odd Squad, stop right there!
Odd Squad, you've caught me!
And just as I was about to complete my square.
But how did you know where to find me?
It's all in a day's work...
[funky music playing]
for Odd Squad.
[ding]Yeah.
Ergh!
[seal dings]
Bye, Orli! Thanks so much for teaching me
how to be an agent without a script.
You're welcome.
[portal whooshes]
Ozzie, you're back!
Hi. Oh! You must be Oz.
And you must be Ozzie.
That's my cue to go back to my universe.
Bye!Say hi to Orbi for me.
Will do.
Ozzie, how was your time in the movie-star dimension?
You know what? It's easier if I just show you.
[movie announcer] In a world of oddness,
there is one team you can count on!
We have to catch this villain, Ozzie!
Oh. [panting]
Sorry. What's my line?
[dramatic music fizzles][director] Cut!
Going again! Take one.[bell dings]
[announcer] In a world of oddness,
there is one team you can count on.
We have to catch this villain, Ozzie!
Sorry, I haven't learned this script, you see.
[director] Cut! Take .
[announcer] In a world... yada yada yada.
We have to catch this villain, Ozzie!
Yes, Orbi, let's get him.
Yes, I remembered my line!
Up top! Whoa!
[grunting][music fizzles]
[bell rings]
[objects all whooshing, squeaking]
I joined because bubbles should float,
not work in fashion.
I joined because fish should swim,
not fly helicopters.
I joined because this is no way to wear shoes.
[snaps][ding]
We are...
We are...
We are...
-We are... -[all] Odd Squad!
[Captain O] Since the beginning of time,
-and we're talking way back, -[swords clacking]
we've been fighting odd.
In our spare time,
we also like to make pictures of ourselves.
I really like this one.
There's no case too big,
no case too small.
At Odd Squad, we do it all!
[birds squawking]
And yes, that is a flock of flying toast.
It's wheat bread, if you were wondering.
Join Odd Squad on the PBS Games Kids' app
and you'll get top-notch training
in the secrets of Odd Squad,
including...
Agent Check-Up,

where to find the Odd Squad X-ray machine,
and how to mix odd antidotes.
Here at Odd Squad, you'll get the latest
in staying safe, healthy,
and happy.
You can also stream Odd Squad cases
on PBS Kids.
What about that bus that's been doubled?
That's a double-decker bus.
Also a totally normal British thing.
[sighs]
Is that over there also a normal British thing?
[lightning zaps, crackles]
No, that's definitely odd!
Let's do this!
Odd Squad needs you!
And I need keyboard lessons.
[playing pleasant tune]
[speaker] Oh, yes, that sounds fantastic.
Well, what are you waiting for?
Go!
[Captain O] "Three is the Oddest Number."
[projector whirring]
Okay, let's start with some positives.
Did we release a ton of oddness into the town?
We sure did.
Whoo hoo!Yay!
Unfortunately, Ozzie worked with Agent Orli
from Niagara Falls to stop all of that oddness.
Boo!Boo!
It's time for a new plan of terribleness.
Any questions so far?
Yes, Oxandra, Offee?
Thanks, Ollison.
[both together] I was wondering what the new plan of terribleness was
to stop Odd Squad.
The new plan of terribleness
is to stop Odd Squad once and for all!
To do that, we need to steal three shapes
from their gadgets.
First...[image whirs]
A circle!
I know where we can find the shape.
It's inside the Odd Squad's Un-Cheese-inator gadget.
[Ollison] Correct, but we can't just go into Odd Squad HQ
and steal it.[ding]
Maybe we could use the new Honk-inator gadget I made.
No Honk-inators this time.
We're going to get Odd Squad
to bring the Un-Cheese-inator to us.
How?
You and I are going to become
Odd Squad super fans, Oxandra. Uch!
And what am I going to do?
You're going to wear this.
A mouse mask?
A bit of time later...
[Mayor] Thank you for coming, Odd Squad.
What seems to be the problem, Mayor?
Oop, isn't it obvious?
I'm guessing it's the cheese on your head,
but I didn't want to assume.
We don't follow fashion.
This used to be my summer hat.
I mean, I didn't choose cheese.
I'm not a mouse.
But he is![squeaking]
[Ozzie] There's our suspect.
How are you feeling, Ozzie?
Chasey or zappy?
I'm feeling a little bit chasey today.
Great, 'cause I'm feeling extra zappy.
Go get him, partner!
Get back here!
[mouse squeaking]
Sorry![gadget dings]
Don't worry, the Un-Cheese-inator will fix this.
Hey, look, it's Odd Squad!
We're huge Odd Squad fans!
Don't you love Odd Squad?
Not as much as I love not smelling of cheese.
Can I get a selfie?
I really need to fix the mayor's cheesy head.
Here, hold these. It'll be fun.
Shall I hold your gadget for you?
That'd be great. Thanks.
[Ollison] What do you think? Portrait or landscape?
[Orli] Uh, landscape?
Good idea. Smile.
[snapping]Taking a few, just in case.
Cheese! [whispering] Hurry up.
Okay, that's great.
Gotta go.
Uh, okay. Bye.
Um, about my--
Of course. Sorry about that, Mayor.
[drumroll]
[gadget fizzles]
[fizzles]
Oh, no.
Is that a good "oh no"?
I'm hoping it's a good "oh no."
Oh no! [crying]
[upbeat music]
[dance music blaring]
[both] Whoop, whoop! Whoop!
Whoa whoa whoa![music stops]
No dancing until we've completed the plan.
We still need two more shapes.
[screen zaps]
A triangle!
Actually, it's a triangular prism.
[beeps]
A triangle is a two-dimensional shape.
It can only be measured by length and width.
A triangular prism is three-dimensional.
It can be measured by length, width, and depth.
I've seen one of them before.
It's inside the Odd Squad Un-Seed-inator gadget.
Then you know what to do.
I certainly do.
[laughing maniacally]
What am I doing again?
[ding]Using the Honk-inator?
I promise you, we will use the Honk-inator soon, Oxandra.
But first, you and Offee need to make an urgent delivery
to the town square.
[driving music]
See?[buzzing]
Are you sure the circle was in there
when you gave it to us, Onom?
Of course! I checked every gadget
with my Gadget Check-inator,
which I checked with my Gadget-Check-inator
Gadget-Check-inator!
Okay.[sparking]
But we still don't know who this is
that cheesed the town mayor.
Whoever they are,
they wouldn't have gotten away from me on this.
Ahoy, agents, there's more oddness in the town square.
You'll need the Un-Seed-inator gadget.
On it!Right away.
No! I need you two here
to figure out who this masked villain is.
Orwell, you go.
And take Oh Oh with you.
She needs field experience.
Will do. Come with me, Agent Oh Oh.
And do try to keep up.
Will do!
See? She's a natural.
Uh, I gave her a head start!
Wait up! [groaning]
[driving music]
Odd Squad!
Someone turned all the post into bird seeds...
and feathers.
Fabulous.
Eh, not so fabulous.Oh.
I'm sure Mrs. Taylor down at number three didn't order this.
She's allergic to birds and seeds.
Can you describe the person who did this to you?
Yes, uh, they're the type that flap around town squares.
Huh?
[dramatic music][squawking]
Agent Oh Oh!You can't catch me!
[Orwell] Pursue that parrot!
Let's get your trolley de-seeded.
Roll up, roll up!
Get your free snack samples!
Free snacks!
Did you say free snacks?Uh-huh.
Okay, I have two questions, and they're both:
Please, can I have some?
Of course, and of course.
Yum.[Offee] Help yourself.
Oxandra can hold your gadget.
You don't have to tell me twice!
Apples.
Now where's the chocolate?
Here you are.
One totally fine and complete gadget.
Okay, that's great.
Thank you. Gotta go!
Uh, bye!
Thanks for the snacks!
Uh...Oh, yeah.
Let's get these seeds sorted and parcels back to normal.
[gadget fizzles]
[fizzling continues]
Uh-oh.
[crackling]
Clearly, the super fan people and the snack people
are the same people.
I'm sorry they took your triangular prism, Onom.
It's not ideal,
but it's not the worst thing that could happen.
[Orwell] Oh Oh, let's check the town security cameras.
Ozzie, Orli, any idea who these villains are?
No, not yet.
Well, it seems like you've got another chance
to sink them!
People in town are honking
like geese!
I'll get you the Un-Honkinataor.
Wait, Onom.
You said that the villains needing a circle
and a triangular prism wouldn't be the worst thing
that could happen; so, what is?
The worst would be
if they stole the rectangular prism too.
A rectangular prism is a three-dimensional shape.
Right? Like, a rectangle
but with depth as well as length and width.
Just like the one in our Un-Honkinator!
The villains are setting a trap!
They want a rectangular prism too.
We can't let them steal it.
But the people in the town square need our help.
Don't worry. I have an idea.
[seal clanks]
Honk honk honk!Honk honk honk!
Okay, calm down now. One at a time.
Honk honk honk honk!
Why did I think that would help?
[both] Honk honk honk honk!
Honk!
[Villain] Honk! You can't catch me!
Orli, remember our plan.
I'm on chasing.
And I'm on tricking villains.
Good luck!
Stop that goose!
Well, I better stop you honking now!
[gadget dings]
Hello again, Ozzie.
Ollison?
You're the one who's been stealing our shapes?
Hi, Ozzie.
Oxandra?
And I'm guessing that was Offee in the goose mask?
[both] Honk honk! Honk honk!
It's a long story, but yes, we know each other.
Now, hand over the Un-Honkinator, Ozzie.
It has the final shape we need for our plan of terribleness.
Never! I'll never help you.
Then prepare to honk!
[gadget honks]Whoa!
[squeak][Ollison] Get the Un-Honkinator!
Come on, Oxandra! Let's go.
[Oxandra] Honk honk!
Hey!
Did our plan work?
They took the fake gadget?
Oh, oh, the plan. Yes. Yes, the plan worked.
Okay, great.
Let's get you two back to HQ.
[seal clanks]
So it's been the Terrible Three
who have been stealing our shapes?
I'm afraid so. I managed to trick them
with a fake gadget, but something tells me
it's not the last we'll see of them.
Does Orli know they're ex-Odd Squad agents?
Or about your history with them?
I've never been able to find the right time to tell her.
Well, you might want to start planning that conversation.
But first, we really need to fix the mayor
and the postwoman.
[both] Honk honk, honk honk.
Honk honk.
[gadget fires up]
Honk honk honk!
Ugh! Why isn't this Un-Honkinator working?
Honk honk!
She's saying, "Because it's not an Un-Honkintor.
It's an Un-Moo-inator!"
Ugh!
You speak goose?Honk honk!
[gasps]
We've been tricked.
It's got the wrong shape inside.
It's a square!No, it's a cube.
A square is a two-dimensional shape
with sides of equal length.
A cube is three-dimensional.Honk honk honk!
She's saying that it's the same shape in her Honkinator.
Wait.
If we put two cubes together...
[whoosh]Whoa!
we get a rectangular prism.
That's the shape we need for the next part
of the plan of terribleness
where we'll strike right at the heart
of Odd Squad HQ.
Honk honk honk!Ha ha ha ha!
[all laughing and honking maniacally]
Next time, on "Odd Squad"...
Ozzie, Orli, we have a situation.
Do you want to tell me something, Ozzie?
[Osgood] If they plug those shapes into our security computers,
who knows what type of oddness they'll unleash.
[all] Odd Squad, Odd Squad, stop right there!
[typewriter clacking]
Welcome to the Odd Squad lab.
This is where scientists, like me,
get to work on new inventions.
Now, you're probably asking, "Onom, what are those things?"
Well, the answer to that is:
[whispering] I have no idea!
This is where we keep all our gadgets.
If you want to look up a gadget,
their numbers are stored all in here.
But if you can't access my brain,
you can easily find them here.
This is Omelia.
Hi.Hi.
Another cool thing about the lab
is that button.
If you push it once,[boing]
you get a bowl of noodles!
But if you push it twice,[boing, boing]
you get two bowls of noodles.
But if you push it three times...
[boing, boing, boing]
[creature growls]Ugh.
You release the evil ice dragon.
[growling]
Omelia, where are you with that ice-dragon shield?
[growling]
[heroic music]
[Orli] Welcome to Odd Squad: a Guide to your Gadgets.
Behold the Toast-inator!
It makes toast.
So, that's pretty much it.
You push that button, and guess what?
It makes toast.
[fanfare]
Toast-inator!
[gadget buzzing]
How 'bout those graphics, huh?
How are we doing on time? Oh, good.
Knowledge is power,
power is gadgets,
and gadgets is toast.[crunch]
[thrilling music]
