Thanks for helping, everyone.

I'll have these seeds planted in no time.

[sighs]: No problem.

Gnomes know everything there is to know

about planting seeds.

But you'll need to dig deeper than that

so the squirrels can't get to them.

That'll take all day![gasps]

I know what will help us dig faster.

My kazoo!

[breathes in]

[plays note]

♪ Dig, dig, dig, dig ♪

♪ Dig, dig, dig, dig ♪

[kazoo playing along] ♪ Dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig ♪

[kazoo plays final note]

[grunting]

Okay, I think it's deep enough now.

[spluttering]

Oops! [giggles]

Sorry, Norman.

That kazoo really does make you dig faster.

All right! [plays tune]

[shovel clunks] Huh?

Hey.

There's something buried here.

[gasps]

A treasure chest!

Mommy, come look!

We found pirate treasure!

[grunts]

Ooh! Wait.

Where is all the pirate gold?

This is just old stuff.

Oh.

[gasps]: This is a time capsule!

BOTH: A time capsule?!

Amazing!

Wait, what's a time capsule?

A time capsule is a container

full of things from the past.

A time capsule can be any shape,

but most are boxes.

Someone must have buried this

a long time ago

so we can see how they used to live.

Wow!

So... who did bury it?

[gasps]: There's a note!

"Hello from the past!

"Our names are Pauline and Paul,

"and we want to share what our lives are like

with the people that live in our house in the future."

They lived in our house?

No way!

Oh, look, this must be them.

PINKALICIOUS: "So with help from our friends,

"we filled this time capsule with some of our favorite things

"so you can enjoy them, too.

"We hope you like them.

Your friends from the past, Pauline and Paul."

[gasps]: Pauline's favorite color must have been pink, too!

I wonder what this thing did?

[laughs]: It's a toy telephone.

This is so interesting.

[gasps]: I can't wait to show it to everyone

and tell them about Pauline and Paul.

Don't worry, I'll finish the planting.

DADDY: Thanks, Norman!

[groans]

So, all of this stuff is from, like,

a kagillion years ago?

Yep, ancient comic books, ancient toys...

[gasps]: Ooh, ancient snacks!

Aww, it's just the wrapping.

Why are they all in costumes?

[Pinkalicious giggles]

PINKALICIOUS: They aren't in costumes, Frida.

That's just how people used to dress back then.

Hey, a harmonica!

Whoa! So cool!

I wonder if it still works.

[plays notes]

[gasps]: It does!

This time capsule reminds me

of my Most Treasured Treasures box.

But I would never bury that!

[gasps]

But what if we make another box of treasures

that we can bury?

You mean make our own time capsule?

Yes! [exclaiming]

I wonder what we should put in it.

♪ ♪

I can put in something I like to play with, like

my dollhouse!

Hmm.

And books I love!

I can show them how we get around!

[bicycle bell rings]

Whoa!

And what my favorite food is!

Huh.

[grunts]

Hmm.

No more room!

Mmm...

Hmm, we won't have that much space,

so we should each pick one very special thing.

Let's see.

I've got a pack of gum,

a button, and...

A bit of fluff.

[giggles]: And the items should tell

whoever finds the time capsule something about us.

There's just one problem:

we don't have a capsule.

Leave that to me.

Thanks!

Our time capsule has to be pinkamazing!

♪ ♪

There!

Now let's go find our special items.

[squeaks]

[Peter sighs, duck squeaks]

Hmm.

I'm going to add a pink pong paddle

and pink pong ball.

And I can paint a picture of you and me!

[groans]

I better keep looking.

My favorite color and my favorite rock.

Nuh-uh.

Pinkaperfect!

Ooh!

Ta-da!

Here's our time capsule!

Have you decided what you're going to put in it yet, Peter?

[groans]: No.

I can't find anything special enough.

[moans]

Well, maybe it's just something simple

that makes you smile.

[doorbell rings] They're here!

[gasps]: I've got it!

"I hope you enjoy our time capsule.

"Your friends from the past,

Pinkalicious, Iris, Rafael, Frida, and Peter."

[door opens] PETER: I'm here!

And I found the perfect thing

to put in the time capsule.

Your kazoo?

Are you sure?

You really love that thing.

I'm sure.

Paul's harmonica made me smile.

So maybe whoever finds my kazoo will smile, too.

Well, okay.

Are you ready for your picture?

KIDS: Ready!

NORMAN: Okay, everyone say

"Time capsule!"

KIDS: Time capsule!

[shutter clicks]

[kids giggle]

Pinkaperfect!

Thanks, Norman!

Okay, everyone, items in!

[plays note]: Bye, kazoo.

Give a hello toot to the future people for me!

[sighs]

Oh, h*, h*, no, you don't!

It took me all day to finish planting those seeds,

and you're not digging up my flowers, either!

But where are we supposed to bury it

if we can't do it here?

Don't worry, I'll find the perfect spot.

Follow me!



Norman, this isn't anywhere near our backyard.

[chuckles]: That's the point!

♪ ♪

Here! [kids yelp]

This is the perfect spot

to put your time capsule.

But how will anyone know it's here?

[all murmur]

Hmm.

[gasps]: I know!



The pink ribbon marks the spot!

Great idea, Pinkalicious.

[grunting]

[grunting]

This is so exciting.

Just think, it might be hundreds of years

till someone finds this capsule.

Or millions!

♪ ♪

[wind blows]

[moaning]

[sighs]: I miss my kazoo!

[groans sleepily]

Let me get this right.

You want to go and dig up the time capsule

that we just buried?

Please, Norman?

You've got to help us find the spot.

I need my kazoo.

I can't sleep without it!

Okay, okay.

Let's go.

♪ ♪

Look, Pinkalicious.

Your pink ribbon!

[gasps]

The wind must have blown it off the tree!

But how are we going to find the time capsule now?

Don't worry, I know exactly where we buried it.

Gnome's instinct!



[groans]

I'm sure we're getting close.

Wasn't it near one of these big trees?

[sighs]

Um, they're all kind of big trees, Norman.

♪ ♪

I'm never going to get my kazoo back!

What was I thinking

putting it in the time capsule?

Wait a minute.

Isn't this the tree trunk we climbed over yesterday?

And then we crossed that stream.

We're getting closer. Come on!

♪ ♪

[gasps]

There it is.

I'm coming for you, kazoo!

Hold on.

Okay, dig away!

♪ ♪

Yay!

[plays note]

Oh, I've missed that sound!

[giggles]

Now that's what I call buried treasure.

Thanks for letting us bury

our time capsule here, Norman.

You're welcome.

Just don't dig it up again.

Did you choose your new item, Peter?

I did!

Whoever finds this time capsule

will see how much you love your kazoo.

And I'll still get to play it!

[plays note]



Now, how about a little digging music?

[plays note]

ALL: ♪ Dig, dig, dig, dig dig, dig, dig, dig ♪

♪ Dig, dig, dig, dig dig, dig, dig, dig ♪

[all laughing]

KIDS: That's artalicious!

GIRL: Today we're doing collages

to make self-portraits.

GIRL : We collected stuff that shows who we are.

Things that are special to us.

This is my cat Bailey.

This is a sea shell.

GIRL : When I think of self-portrait,

I draw myself detailedly.

I'm doing more of a freestyle thing.

GIRL : And when I think of collage,

I think of cutting things and, like, gluing

and, like, getting all creative.

My dad is getting electricity

for us to use hot glue.

Hot glue can be hot,

so you should have a grown-up to help you.

Lee and I are both hot-gluing things

that are special to us.

Stuff that shows who we are.

I like making collages because you can have fun,

and if it's about the other person

and you look at their collage,

you can kind of get to know them more.

Almost done.

Would you like to see our collages?

GIRL : This collage is about me, because

I love my pets, the beach.

I like flowers.

My collage is about

my stuffed animal dogs that I really love.

Drop a barbecued chicken leg,

and the chicken leg fell on to my head.

[giggling]

I think art can show different emotions.

It can show who you are

and it brings joy.

PINKALICIOUS: "Pinkerstition."

♪ ♪

[Peter giggles]

Wake up, sleepyhead!

[yawns]

Oh!

Rabbit, rabbit!

Where?!

Hey, bunny, bunny, come on out!

[laughs]: Oh, Peter!

There's no actualrabbit.

It's a superstition.

If the first thing you say on the first day of the month

is "rabbit, rabbit," you'll have good luck!

Really?

Yes!

"Say 'rabbit, rabbit' when you get up,

and all month long you'll have good luck!"

Wow, I never heard that.

[gasps]: Oh, no!

Is this because I didn't say "rabbit, rabbit"?

No, don't be silly.

Come on, let's get dressed and go to the park!

Okay.

[yelps]

I don't think I am being silly.

[Daddy humming]

Hey, Daddy! Hello, Pinkalicious!

PINKALICIOUS [gasps]: Peter, stop!

What is it?

Oh, nothing.

It's just that walking under a ladder is

also bad luck.

[gasps]

But I'm sure it's just another

silly superstition.

[yelping]

[grunts]

[sighs] DADDY:Oops!

[laughs]: Sorry, Peter!

It just slipped out of my hand!

It's okay, Daddy.

It's not your fault.

I didn't say "rabbit, rabbit" this morning.

[chuckling]: Oh, Peter.

Pinkalicious is right.

Superstitions are silly.

They're just the idea that certain things

lead to bad or good stuff happening.

Superstitions canbe fun,

but they're not actually true.

BOTH: Huh?

[squirrel chitters]

I wish I could believe you.



Come on, Peter, cheer up.

Hey, there's Rafael and Frida!

Hey, Pinkalicious!

Hey, Peter!

We're having a swinging competition!

[both laugh] Your turn!

Bet you can't go higher than us!

We bet we can!

Woo-hoo!

Told you!

[Peter laughing]



[yelps and grunts]

[sighs]

Oh, bad luck!

I didn't say "rabbit, rabbit" this morning.

And now I'm doomed.

Peter, that wasn't bad luck.

It was just a muddy puddle!

That no one else landed in.

Hey, let's go get ice cream!

Ice cream makes everything better!

Come on! Yes!



[kids slurping]

[sighs]

Ice cream does make everything better.

Especially raspberry and marshmallow swirl,

my favorite.

I think Daddy's right.

There's no such thing as...

Oh!

[sadly]: ...bad luck.

Are you sure?

MR. SWIZZLE: Emergency ice cream delivery!

[exhales]: I saw what happened.

Here you go!

Now, that's not bad luck!

Wow, Mr. Swizzle!

Just be a little bit more careful with this one!

I promise!

[groans angrily]: That's it!

I am going straight home

until all this bad luck goes away!



[knocks]

Are you coming out yet?

Nope!

I'm not coming out until

all the bad luck is gone!

But what if that takes forever?

Then I'm staying under here forever.

Forever?

Forever.

PINKALICIOUS [sighs]: Okay.

Peter?

I think we just need

to change your luck.

We can do that?

Of course!

There are tons of things that bring good luck!

♪ ♪

There are lucky feathers!

Although those are really hard to catch.

Oh, and there are lucky pennies!

Although you don't find those every day.

Hmm.

Huh? Of course!

They're really good luck!

That's what we need!

There must be one growing in our back yard!

Let's go find it!

[Rafael groans]

I've found lots of dandelions,

Wow, four-leaf clovers are much harder to find

than I thought.

Oh, I wish I'd never mentioned that silly rhyme.

It was just for fun!

I wish I knew another way to bring good luck.

Hmm...

Well, we could make something up.

But that wouldn't be real!

Maybe that doesn't matter.

Maybe what matters

is that Peter thinks it's real.

Now, we need a good rhyme.

Something that rhymes with luck,

or good, or... [gasps]

Peter! Peter!

Uh, Peter?

Shh!

I don't want the bad luck to find me.

Oh, don't worry about that, I know another superstition!

It's going to make everything better-- come on!

So this is the superstition.

"Roll around in the grass.

Are you sure? [giggles]

I've never heard of this.

Okay.

[giggling]

Oh!

[gasps]

My lost yo-yo!

I saw it when I was rolling around!

[gasps]

I just had some good luck!

There you go!

All back to normal.

Wait.

There was "rabbit, rabbit,"

but I also walked under a ladder.

to be totally back to normal.

Do you know any more?

Uh, I'm sure I do.

[laughs]

[gasps]: No!

Maybe?

[sadly]: Yes.

I didn't want you to think you were doomed to have bad luck!

I wanted to cheer you up.

So I still have bad luck.

[yo-yo cracks]

[groans]: Oh, great.

Of course.

I'm going back undermy bed

and I'm never coming out.

[grunts angrily] Peter, wait!

You didn't find your yo-yo

because of the superstitions I made up.

And you didn't fall in the puddle

because you didn't say "rabbit, rabbit."
