- I am your teacher Mr. Devosaurus.

Or Mr. Dev for short.

And these are my class helpers.

- Attention classroom, Teacher Challenge:

Teach a preschool class some new things.

- Okay, everyone. You're in for a treat.

Today I'm going to teach you all about dinosaurs.

[happy and disappointed beeping]

- I'm all ears.

- Dinosaurs were reptiles that lived on Earth

for about million years.

One of the first dinosaurs was the Plateosaurus,

an herbivore. But the real age of dinosaurs

was during the Mesozoic Era.

- I think he's losing them.

- That was actually three time periods.

[beeping cheerfully]

Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous.

- Class, it's time to listen now.

[Dev]: During the Triassic Period,

there were awesome dinosaurs like--

- I'm it? [laughing]

I'm gonna get ya!

[laughing] Watch out!

- Settle down, everyone. - Come back to the table please.

- Class... Class? Listen. This is really great stuff.

- I don't think they're interested.

- But... how could they not be interested in dinosaurs?

It's dinosaurs!

Ah, I don't know what to do!

I need to pause.

Why don't they want to learn about dinosaurs?

- They're preschoolers, so they are young.

- And all of those dinosaur facts you were teaching

were probably hard for them to understand.

- You were using some big words that they might not even know.

- Oh, I didn't think about that.

- Maybe you just need to think differently

about how to teach them.

- Right! I guess I could look at it from their point of view.

- Yeah, that sounds like a good strategy.

- Hm, if I were a preschooler,

I wouldn't be able to sit still when someone's talking

with big words I don't understand.

- Preschool is all about learning while you're playing

and having fun.

- So maybe we can have some fun

and I can teach them some simple dino facts all at the same time!

- Now you're thinking differently.

- I know what to do now.

Unpause.

- Ha! Tag! Now you're it!

- First, we'll need to get their attention.

- Let me try something I learned when I was in preschool.

If you can hear me, beep once.

[all]: Beep.

- If you can hear me, beep twice.

[all]: Beep-beep.

- Great listening.

- Okay, everyone. We're gonna have some fun.

- Attention classroom, it's art time!

- Whoo! Art time, art time!

- Ms. Rae, can you pass out the crayons please?

- Of course.

Art time was always my favourite part of preschool.

[chicken squeaking] - Come with me to the table

and let's make some art. [disappointed beeping]

- Woo-hoo!

What are we going to colour?

- I know just the thing.

Dinosaur colouring pages.

- Oh yeah, this does look like fun.

[various beeping]

- Did you know that there were lots

of different kinds of dinosaurs?

Some walked on two legs and some walked on four.

Who can find a dinosaur that walked on two legs

and colour it green.

[beeping] Come on up.

Right! The T-rex walked on two legs.

And even though its legs were big,

it's arms were really little.

Nice job.

[beeping happily]

- Way to colour inside the lines.

- Now, some dinosaurs had horns.

Who can find the dinosaurs with horns

and colour it brown?

- Ooh, pick me, pick me.

- Okay, Scout. Come on up here.

- Okay, let's see. Horns, horns, horns, horns.

Ah-ha!

[error notification]

What? Those aren't horns on its back.

- No, but good try.

That dinosaur has awesome plates on its back.

It's called a Stegosaurus.

Try again to colour the dinosaur that has horns.

- Right. Okay, that would be this one.

[scribbling] [dinging]

- You got it! The Triceratops has three horns.

In fact, the name Triceratops means three horned face.

- Well, that gives me one happy face.

- Now, some dinosaurs have long necks!

Who can find the dinosaur with a long neck

and colour it grey?

[beeping] - Over here.

- Go ahead.

[scribbling] [dinging]

That's right. The brontosaurs had a super long neck.

That helped to eat the leaves in the tops of trees.

Now there's one dinosaur left.

The Stegosaurus.

Who can colour it with a red crayon?

- Want to colour it?

[frustrated beeping]

[scribbling] [dinging]

- Nice job. [grumbling]

- Art time complete!

Teacher gets a gold star.

- Nice job, Mr. Dev.

They had fun and you taught them about dinosaurs.

- Yeah, but that one little Beeple still doesn't seem

to be into it.

I've got to find a way to him excited about dinosaurs.

- Attention, classroom.

It's playtime.

- Everyone, join me on the mat.

Class, did you know that dinosaurs were really big?

And so are their names.

Tyrannosaurus Rex has a name so big that we just call it T-Rex.

It lived at the same time as this dinosaur.

- Who remembers what the one's called?

[clear throat] - Three-horned-saurus.

[Dev]: Close.

Triceratops. Which means three horned face.

So let's play a game.

I'll make a dinosaur pattern

and you guess what comes next.

We have T-Rex, Triceratops, T-Rex, Triceratops...

What comes next?

[beeping] - T-Rex! Yup, yup, yup.

- Right, you figured out the pattern.

[beeping happily]

- Okay, now let's make a new pattern.

Remember these dinosaurs?

Brontosaurus, Stegosaurus.

Brontosaurus, Stegosaurus.

[Cora, Dev, Rae]: What comes next?

- T-Rex. [error notification]

[beeping]

Brontosaurus? Of course.

Totally knew that.

[beeping] [dinging]

- Dev, that one little Beeple still doesn't seem interested.

- I've got to think differently

to get him excited about dinosaurs.

- Are you gonna use your strategy?

- Yup. I'll look at it

from the little Beeple's point of view.

The only thing they seem really interested in

is that stuffed chicken.

Wait! That's it.

Okay, class. Listen up please.

Dinosaurs lived a long time ago.

But did you know that they still have relatives today.

In fact, the closest living relative to a T-Rex is...

a chicken. [surprised beeping]

That's right.

The T-Rex walked on two legs like a chicken.

Had the same kind of feet as a chicken,

even laid eggs like a chicken.

- I never knew that.

We have a new pattern.

Chicken, T-Rex, chicken, T-Rex.

[Cora, Dev, Rae]: What comes next?

[beeping]

- You're right!

- Chicken. - You got it!

See? Dinosaurs are super interesting.

Am I right?

[beeping happily]

- Another gold star for teache.

[beeping excitedly]

- Now this little Beeple loves dinosaurs.

- You did it, Dev. You got them all interested.

- And you taught them about dinosaurs

in a really fun way.

- A+ job!

- Mr. Dev for the win!

- Best teacher ever. [bell ringing]

[beeping]

- Oh, I'm all itchy for some reason.

Maybe I have an allergy to something.

- Could it be your sweater that's making you itch?

- No! My lucky sweater wouldn't do such a thing.

[laughing]

This is so uncomfortable.

You don't happen to know any allergists, do you?

- Is that like someone who has allergies?

[laughing] - No, hon.

An allergist is a doctor who helps people figure out

what they're allergic to.

Like a medical mystery detective.

- Ooh! That gives me an idea.

Invite Rae and Dev.

I could be an allergist in Skillsville.

Then, maybe I can solve the case of your mysterious itch.

- Hey, it's worth a shot.

- Hey, Cora. - What's up?

- Anyone up for a game?

- Just a Triceratops have three horns?

- I guess that means yes.

Wait, what's an "allergist"?

- It's a doctor who's like a medical mystery detective.

- Ooh. - Whoa!

I want to figure out what causes allergies.

- Oh, great idea! Let's do it.

Here's the medical centre.

Let's go inside.

[frantic beeping] - Uh-huh. Oh, okay, okay.

Seems that this Beeple has the Squeakies.

- The "Squeakies"?

[high-pitched horn blowing]

- Beeples get the Squeakies

when they're allergic to something.

[beeping sadly]

Oh, but the Beeple says it doesn't know

what it's allergic to.

- I bet an allergist can figure out

what's causing the Squeakies.

- Think you got the skills to get the job done?

- I love figuring things out.

I'm in.

- Then you're going to need... this!

- Whoa. - Cool.

- Nice.

- Allergist Challenge:

Solve the mystery of what's causing the Squeakies.

- I'm on the case.

- What do we do first?

- Well, sometimes I play a video game called Epic Detective,

And to solve mysteries, the detective looks for clues.

[horn blowing]

Did you do anything new today?

[horn blowing]

[beeping]

- Ooh, looks like we've got two more patients.

And they both have... [horn blowing]

[all]: The Squeakies.

- Don't worry, Cora's an allergist.

- She'll help you. - Okay.

Let's ask the same questions we asked our first patient.

Did you do anything new or different today?

[beeping]

- My cousin Raj's allergic to peanuts.

Maybe the Squeakies could be from a food allergy.

- Yeah, maybe they all ate the same thing.

What did you eat today?

[overlapping beeping]

- Sandwich, banana, we got smoothie.

[beeping]

[horn blowing]

[beeping sadly]

Okay, so you had the sandwich?

No, you had the banana?

And a sandwich? A smoothie sandwich?

Okay, who had the sandwich?

[overlapping beeping] - Wait... Who had what?

I can't keep it straight. I need to pause.

How am I supposed to solve this medical mystery

if I can't even keep track of the information?

- Maybe you just need to get organized.

- Hmm. I know!

I can make a chart like we do at school.

That'll help me keep track of everything

in an organized way.

- Sounds like a good strategy.

- Let's see.

[beeping]

[intriguing music]

Each Beeple gets its own column.

Now I can keep track of their information on this chart.

- Perfect.

- That should help you figure out

what's causing the Squeakies.

- I hope so. Unpause.

[horn blowing resumes]

Okay, everyone, let's go over this again

one at a time.

[beeping] - Banana.

[beeping] Strawberry smoothie.

[beeping] And this Beeple had a sandwich.

- Hm... they didn't eat any of the same foods,

so that's not what's causing the Squeakies.

What else could they be allergic to?

- Hm-mmm.

- My cousin Raj is also allergic to T-Rex, my cat.

- Maybe the Beeples are allergic to animals.

Do any of you have pets?

[beeping cheerfully]

- Finally, something they have in common.

- What kind of pet do you have?

[beeping] - Oh, a dog.

- Okay. I'll put it on the chart.

[beeping] - This Beeple has a dog too.

- I think we're on to something.

If all three have dogs,

then maybe that's what's causing the Squeakies.

- Do you have a dog?

[beeping]

- No, goldfish.

- So it must not be pets they're allergic to.

We need more clues.

Where were you when the Squeakies started?

[overlapping beeping]

- City Centre, LunchBox cafe,

Beeple Block.

- They were all in different places.

- Well, maybe there's something at all of those places

that could explain the Squeakies.

I think a new chart could help.

- Let's go investigate.

- We'll be right back. The nurse will take care of you.

[beeping] [horn blowing]

[upbeat music]

One of the Beeples was here, at City Centre,

when the Squeakies first started.

- What's around here that Beeples could be allergic to?

- Maybe it's the buildings. Yeah!

I mean, there are buildings everywhere.

- I've heard of being allergic to cats or peanuts,

but I've never heard of anyone being allergic to buildings.

- Find things that might cause allergies.

- Let's spread out.

[upbeat music]

I found something already.

Trees!

- Fire hydrant. [error notification]

Oh...

[sniffing]

- Perfume!

- Flowers.

- Let's check the LunchBox Cafe.

Race ya!

- What could cause allergies here?

- Bread.

- Trees.

- Buildings! [error notification]

Oh yeah, not buildings.

- Oh, flowers.

Now let's check out the Beeple Block.

- Flowers.

- Houses! [error notification]

What? Oh, right. Houses are buildings.

- Trees!

[clucking] - Chicken?

[dinging]

- I think I figured out what's causing the Squeakies,

but there's one more thing I need to investigate.

Follow me.

Look at the chart.

All of the places have flowers and trees.

- Does that mean there are two things

causing the Squeakies?

- Maybe not. There was one more place

where the Beeples had the Squeakies.

Right here, in the medical centre.

There are no trees here, but there are flowers.

- Those are Pixel Petunias, my favourite!

- But some Beeples could be allergic to them.

Let's see what happens

if we take the flowers out of the room.

[horns blowing]

[beeping happily]

- The Squeakies stopped!

- Well, wag my tail! You solved the mystery!

- Allergist Challenge Complete.

You really blossomed.

[cheering]

- Making a chart really helped us get organized.

And now that we know you three are allergic

to the Pixel Petunias,

you can stay away from them

so you don't get the Squeakies again.

[beeping gratefully]

- Good game. - See ya, Scout.

- Bye. - Later, Gamers.

- Well, that was fun.

[Cedric grunting] - Oh, my goodness.

- Still itching, Dad?

- Yes. I wish I knew what I was allergic to.

- Well, I know a good strategy

that can help solve this medical mystery.

I can make a chart.

Okay. What did you do today?

- Uh, we ate breakfast, watered the plants,

did the laundry.

- Breakfast, plants, laundry.

Okay, was there anything new or different about any of those?

Hmm, I had the same breakfast I always have.

[both]: Oatmeal with blueberries.

[laughing]

- Hmm, nothing different about watering the plants.

Oh, I tried a new laundry detergent today.

- Hmm, what did you wash with the new detergent?

- Some towels and... this sweater.

- That's something new and different.

Dad, I don't think you're allergic to the sweater,

I think you're allergic to the new detergent.

- Yes! At least my lucky sweater is here to stay!

[laughing uncomfortably]

- But you might want to rewash in our regular detergent first.

[laughing]
