Rehearsal starts soon!

We got to hurry up and finish.

Just don't get paint on the piano.

No problem, daddy-o.

We've got a cloth on top of the piano

to keep it clean.

["Maple Leaf Rag" playing] Huh?

Uh... [piano continues]

[piano stops] Oh! [giggles]

Good day, good people.

Well, Thelonious Skunk!

Did you fall asleep on the keys again?

Mm-hmm-- when I wake up near a piano,

I have to play it!

SHOOBY: So why stop?

DEE: Keep playing that...

[humming "Maple Leaf Rag"]: ...jazz.

[laughs]: You mean ragtime!

Ragtime?

It's a type of music where, on piano,

your right hand plays a bouncy rhythm,

and your left hand plays a steady march-- like this!

["Maple Leaf Rag" playing]

Ragtime sure is spunky, Skunky!

Duck, if we painted to that ragtime beat,

we might move along real quick!

[chuckles]: A fast tempo, huh?

Well, we do need to finish up this painting double time.

Whoo! [laughs]

Whoo-wee! Everybody get to it, then!

["Maple Leaf Rag" continues]

[laughing]

Yeah![laughs]

Faster is funner!

We'll be done in no time! Whoo-hoo!

[tempo increases]

Whew!

Aw, now, slow that tempo down, Thelonious!

That song's going faster than a runaway train!

[sputters]

Thelonious!

[panting]: Too... fast!

Huh? What's that? Sorry!

[tempo decreases]

[panting]

[exhales]

We can't paint this slow!

[Thelonious laughs] [tempo increases sharply]

We can't dance that fast!

[both panting, whimpering]

[yelps, screams]

[playing rapidly]

[Rooster and Duck panting]

[Chick-a-dees panting]

[Shooby yelps, Dee exclaims]

[music playing frantically]

[panting]

[moans]

[yelping]

[both yelp and grunt]

[music stops]

Uh-oh.

But we weren't finished! Look!

That's that. [chuckles]

[Chick-a-dees cheer, all laugh]
