ZEKE: "Sticker Monster Storytime."

Let's play library.

I'll be the librarian.

Zeke, you be the baby.

Let me be the grown-up!

I already have my grown-up shoes on.

See how tall I am?

[sighs]:Okay, you can be the grown-up

and Zadie can be your baby.

Here's your stroller.

Yes! I never get to be the baby.

Ga-ga-goo-goo!

Hello, Mr. Librarian?

My baby wants a book.

[in baby voice]: Me want [span tts:fontStyle="italic">Sticker Monster[/span>book!

You've come to the right place.

We've got lots of [span tts:fontStyle="italic">Sticker Monster[/span>books.

How about volume three?

[span tts:fontStyle="italic">Sticker Monster's[/span> [span tts:fontStyle="italic"> Helicopter Hijinks.[/span>

I've read that one to my baby a zillion times.

How about volume five?

[span tts:fontStyle="italic">Sticker Monster's[/span> [span tts:fontStyle="italic"> Undersea Adventure.[/span>

We've read that one, too.

Uh, volume eight?

[span tts:fontStyle="italic">Sticker Monster on the Moon?[/span>

[whining]I guess you've read that one, too.

[mock-crying]: Sticker Monster! Wah!

Mr. Librarian!

You made my baby cry.Wah, wah, wah!

What about that book up there?

Huh?

I've never seen that book before.

[span tts:fontStyle="italic">The Sticker Monster's[/span> [span tts:fontStyle="italic"> Lost Sticker--[/span>volume one.

This must be the first-ever [span tts:fontStyle="italic"> Sticker Monster[/span>book.

We've never read this one.

Ooh, wait until Grandma Super sees this.

[radio playing]

Grandma, we found the first-ever [span tts:fontStyle="italic"> Sticker Monster[/span>book!

Volume one!

[music softens]Well, look at that.

That was my book when I was a kid.

I haven't seen it in ages.

I used to love reading those books.

And I played Sticker Monster all the time.

You played Sticker Monster as a kid?

Wait-- you were a kid?

[roars]: I'm the Sticker Monster!

I read all the [span tts:fontStyle="italic">Sticker Monster[/span> books I could get my paws on.

I even had a sticker album of my own.

Do you still have it? I'd love to see it.

Here it is.

This is where I keep every sticker I have ever collected.

Oh, oh! My fuzzy tool stickers!

Feel them.

Fuzzy!

Ooh, let me show you my favorite sticker.

It's a monster truck.

[gasps]

It's gone!

That's weird.

Well, what did it look like, Grandma Super?

It was a big red truck, with huge wheels,

bright yellow headlights,

and a flaming hammer painted on the side.

And it was a scratch-and-sniff sticker, too.

What did it smell like?

It smelled like...

[sniffs]

[dreamily]: ...truck engine grease.

I have an idea.

When I was a kid, I had all kinds of hidden spots

in the Treeborhood where I'd read and admire my stickers.

You kids go enjoy your book.

I'm going to make a list of all my secret spots

and search every one.

Here, Snout can help you look for your sticker.

He's a great finder.

Come on, Wombats, it's reading time.

"The Sticker Monster stood

"before the really big, really tall mountain.

"The Sticker Monster climbed the really big,

"really tall mountain.

Near the top, she almost slipped!"

[gasp]

"But she caught herself

"and made it to the top of the mountain.

"There it was.

"Dangling from a prickly bush

"was the special scratch-and-sniff sticker

"the Sticker Monster had been searching for.

"Whoosh! The sticker blew out of her paws

"and got stuck on a branch dangling above

a raging waterfall."

[gasp]

If the sticker falls in, it'll get wet.

And then it'll be ruined.Huh?

[pages sticking]

The last two pages are stuck together.

Pull them apart!

[page rips]

[gasps]: It's starting to rip!

[gasps]: I think they're going

to be stuck together forever.

ZEKE AND ZADIE: No!

Okay, Snout, I've got my list

of all young Super's super-secret reading spots.

All we have to do is check each of these places

and I'm sure to find that lost sticker.

Vroom, vroom, vroom, vroom, vroom!

[imitating monster truck engine]

[imitates brakes screeching]

I used to love to read in the big echoey knothole.

[echoing]: Not here in the big, echoey knothole!

This is so frustrating.

Now we'll never hear what happens next in the story.

Yeah, we won't know if she saved the sticker

or what it smelled like.

I wanna know how the story ends!

[gasps]: What if we call the person who wrote the book

and ask them how it ends?

But we don't know their phone number.

That gives me an idea.

If the writer made up the ending,

why can't we make up our own ending?

Yeah, we can each make one up and pick the one we like best.

I love, love, love this idea!

I'll go first.

"Whoosh! The sticker blew out of her paws

"and got stuck on a tree branch

dangling above a raging waterfall."

And then...

[gasps]: I got it!

First, the Sticker Monster climbed inside a giant cannon

and blasted herself out.

Kaboom!

Second, she soared through the sky

and bounced off the moon and stars.

Third, she took out her robot arm

and grabbed the sticker.

Then she landed on a giant fluffy pillow.

Fourth, she scratched and sniffed the sticker.

And it smelled like...

[sniffs]

ZADIE: ...unicorn perfume!

Wait, what does unicorn perfume smell like?

Oh, like strawberries and rainbows.

The end.

Okay, here's my ending.

"Whoosh! The sticker blew out of her paws,

"and got stuck on a branch

dangling above a raging waterfall."

First, the Sticker Monster got on her bike

and rode it across the giant ramp-- zoom!

Second, she soared through the air

and opened her parachute.

Then she drifted down the mountainside.

Third, on her way down, she took out her dino claw

and grabbed the sticker.

Fourth, she scratched and sniffed the sticker.

And it smelled like... grapefruit juice.

The end!

I don't like grapefruit juice,

'cause it makes my face squish up like this.

Here's how I think the story ends.

"Whoosh! The sticker blew out of her paws

"and got stuck on a tree branch

dangling above a raging waterfall."

First, the Sticker Monster pressed her belly button-- boop!

Then her cape appeared, and she became

the Mighty Sticker Monster!

♪ Dun, dun, dun

Second, she took out her super shovel

to dig, dig, dig an underground tunnel.

Third, she crawled across the tunnel

and popped out the other end of the waterfall.

Then, she grabbed the sticker.

And fourth, she scratched and sniffed the sticker.

And it smelled like a bubble bath.

No sticker here.

No sticker there.

Nope, nothing here but a bunch of...

[sneezes]

Dust. [coughs]

Okay, time to vote on which ending is the best.

I vote for my robot claw ending.

I vote for my parachute ending.

My ending's so good, I'm voting for it twice.

You can't vote twice.

And if we each vote for our own ending, that means it's a tie.

So we need a tie-breaking vote.

Let's find Super.

Only one place left to look.

[buttons beeping]

It's got to be down in the tunnels.

Whoo-hoo!

[laughs]

Eureka!

We found the monster truck sticker, Snout.

ALL: Super!

The last pages of the [span tts:fontStyle="italic"> Sticker Monster[/span>book

were stuck together.

So, we each made up our own ending.

But we don't know which one to choose.

That is a problem.

I have a similar problem with my teatime cookies.

I can never decide which flavor I like best.

So I just put them together and eat all three at once.

Hey, what if we took the best parts of each ending

and put them together?

Let's try it.

Now for the new ending!

"Whoosh! The sticker blew out of her paws

"and got stuck on a tree branch

dangling above a raging waterfall."

ZEKE: First, the Sticker Monster pressed her belly button-- boop!

and smelled it.

[sniffs]

It smelled just like truck engine grease.
