CARL: I'm so glad you could come over for my special
CARL: my birthday dinner tonight Sheldon!
SHELDON: I can't wait for your special birthday dinner, Carl!
SHELDON: And ...I can't wait to give you your present!
SHELDON: I really can't wait! I'll give you three hints what
SHELDON: it is. One, it's something you've really been
SHELDON: wanting for your tool collection.
CARL: Ooooh.
SHELDON: Two, it's something that helps hold things
SHELDON: together.
CARL: Uh-huh...
SHELDON: Three, it's something that can screw in all kinds of
SHELDON: screws.
CARL: Is it...a universal screwdriver?!
SHELDON: It is!
[♪]
CARL: Whoa! Thank you, Sheldon! How did you know this
CARL: was what I wanted most of all?
SHELDON: Well...
[♪]
CARL: What I really want is a universal screwdriver.
CARL: What I really want is a universal screwdriver.
CARL: What I really want is a universal screwdriver.
[♪]
SHELDON: You may have mentioned it a few times.
CARL: It's called a univel screwdriver, because it can
CARL: work on ANY type of screw.
CARL: Now, whether it would
CARL: work on screws across the universe is highly
CARL: unlikely. However, it should work on all Earth
CARL: screws.
CARL: Definitely all fifteen of THESE!
SHELDON: Whoa!
MAUDE: Oh wow! Carl, is that a brand new -
CARL: [interrupting] Universal screwdriver? It is, Mama!
CARL: Sheldon gave it to me for my birthday!
MAUDE: Well, that was very kind of you, Sheldon. And it's
MAUDE: going to go really well with the present I'm giving
MAUDE: Carl tonight!
CARL: Ohhh...Do we HAVE to wait?
MAUDE: [chuckle] Just a little while longer. Your dad's coming
MAUDE: over to make his famous spaghetti and vegan meatballs,
MAUDE: you know.
CARL: Yum!
MAUDE: And... your birthday cupcakes!
SHELDON: Aww, yeah!
MAUDE: Plus, I still have to hang up this piñata and finish
MAUDE: decorating.
CARL: We can wait, Mama. Besides, now we have a
CARL: universal screwdriver to go build with!
MAUDE: Yeah, well, tools are not toys, so please don't start
MAUDE: building anything without a grown-up there?
CARL/SHELDON: Okaaaaaaay.
HAROLD: Hello, hello!
HAROLD: I'm looking for a birthday boy!
CARL: It's Dad!
MAUDE: Well hello, Harold!
HAROLD: Well, thank ya kindly, Maude!
CARL: Dad!
HAROLD: Happy Birthday, Carl!
HAROLD: Hello, hello, Sheldon!
SHELDON: Hello, hello, Mr. Carl's Dad!
HAROLD: Ahem - that's Chef Dad. Because I have come
HAROLD: to prepare a very special birthday dinner, for a
HAROLD: very special birthday boy!
CARL: That's me!
HAROLD: And for everyone who loves him.
MAUDE: Okay, kids! Clear the kitchen, so Dad can get started
MAUDE: on dinner, m-kay? We'll call you when it's ready.
CARL: Okey dokey! See you later, alligator!
HAROLD: See ya soon, birthday raccoon!
SHELDON: Whoa. This is an AMAZING tool collection, Carl!
CARL: I'll tell you what's amazing! Here we have a
CARL: universal screwdriver, the ultimate tool for screwing
CARL: and unscrewing screws, and there isn't one screw in
CARL: my toolbox! It's a collection catastrophe!
SHELDON: Well, we can't solve it now. Your mom said we
SHELDON: shouldn't build anything.
CARL: She did say that, but she didn't say anything about
CARL: collecting screws.
SHELDON: Uh, what did ya have in mind, buddy?
CARL: Hmm...
[♪]
CARL: If we borrowed just one screw from fifteen different
CARL: objects, we would have all fifteen screws on the
CARL: grid, and a complete screw collection!
SHELDON: Uh...I don't know, Carl. Don't things need their
SHELDON: screws to stay... screwed together?
CARL: Well, we'll make some rules to make sure things stay
CARL: together and don't fall apart.
SHELDON: Ohhhh...kaaaay.
CARL: First, we will be very careful to make sure no one
CARL: accidentally gets hurt. Including us.
SHELDON: Yes. Safety all the way. Check.
CARL: Second, we can't take any screws from anything
CARL: electrical. That is not safe.
SHELDON: Nothing that plugs in. Got it.
CARL: And third, we will make sure to only take one screw
CARL: from each object. How much difference could one
CARL: screw make?
SHELDON: I mean, right?
CARL: Let Mission Collect All the Screws commence!
[♪]
CARL: Okay.
CARL: We have collected five screws from my room, and that
CARL: leaves ten left to get!
SHELDON: Mission Collect All the Screws is on its way!
CARL: The problem is, I can't find these screws anywhere in
CARL: my room. We have to look in other parts of the house.
SHELDON: Uhhh, I don't know, Carl. Are you sure it's okay
SHELDON: we're doing this? Maybe we should ask your mom.
CARL: I see no need to ask Mama, We're not
CARL: building anything, just collecting. And what's more
CARL: important than a collecting mission? Nothing!
CARL: Let's go!
[♪]
HAROLD: Well, hello, hello there!
HAROLD: Is...everything okay in there? Things look a little...
HAROLD: ...uh, off. You know, like...crooked?
CARL: Things look okay to me!
SHELDON: Uhhhhhh...
CARL: Okay, bye, Chef Dad! C'mon, Sheldon!
CARL: Mission Collect All the Screws continues!
[♪]
HAROLD: Huh. Note to self...it may be time for new glasses.
HAROLD: Wait a minute! I don't even wear glasses?!
[♪]
CARL: Look Sheldon, I found a truss head screw!
SHELDON: I found a dome head! Where did you find that cool
SHELDON: Phillips head?
CARL: In the kitchen!
SHELDON: In the kitchen? But isn't your dad cooking in
SHELDON: there?
CARL: He is! But it's just a few screws from a few

CARL: Sheldon, we are SO close to completing Mission Collect

SHELDON: I don't know about this one, Carl...It seems like

SHELDON: But what if it makes the water spray everywhere?

[♪]
CARL: Umm, some of it?
MAUDE: You know what, Carl? Today's your birthday, right?
MAUDE: So, you're one year older, and one year wiser. And
MAUDE: part of being older and wiser is taking more
MAUDE: responsibility for the things you do.
CARL: Oh.
MAUDE: Now, is there something you want to tell me? Something
MAUDE: else maybe?
[♪]
CARL: I do, Mama. I know you said not to build without a
CARL: grown-up. And technically, we didn't. But
CARL: all day long, we've been collecting screws for the
CARL: universal screwdriver, because I didn't have any.
MAUDE: I see.
CARL: I thought if I took one screw here and one screw
CARL: there, no one would notice. But I guess ONE screw
CARL: can make a BIG difference.
HAROLD: Ohhh! So that's why everything's so wonk-a-doodle
HAROLD: today! I was thinking it was just me.
CARL: I was so focused on the mission, I didn't notice things
CARL: were falling apart. I'm sorry I didn't tell you the
CARL: truth right away.
MAUDE: But you did choose to tell me the truth now, Carl.
MAUDE: And I am proud of you for making that choice.
HAROLD: So am I. And relieved! I thought I needed glasses!
HAROLD: Phew!
CARL: I'll put this screw back right now.
[♪]
MAUDE: Um, why don't we go put each and every screw back
MAUDE: where it belongs, right now, so we can all be on solid
MAUDE: ground?
HAROLD: Now that is a great idea.
SHELDON: Umm, hi? I really wanna help, but I'm stuck in
SHELDON: the bathroom! The doorknob fell out!
CARL: We're coming, Sheldon! Mission Put Every Screw Back
CARL: is now in effect!

MAUDE: Oh, and one more thing!
CARL: For me?
MAUDE: Well, like I said, it goes pretty well with
MAUDE: Sheldon's gift.
SHELDON: No way!
CARL: A set of screws to go with my universal screwdriver!
