[tools whir]
[engine revs]
-[car door slams]
-Thought this was a turnkey vehicle.
[Rabbit sighs]
This is a long shot from turnkey, sir.
Anything but. God Almighty.
I swear, the more you look at it,
the worse it gets.
We came 250 miles to Chihuahua
because one of my contacts promised me
that there was a '52 Chevy Fleetline
in good condition.
I'm starting to suspect
that we got screwed.
-Hey.
-[man speaking Spanish]
[Scooter speaking Spanish]
Santiago.
[in Spanish] They told us you have a '52.
[speaking Spanish]
-Is there another one over there?
-No, we don't have another.
[Scooter, in English] My contact lied
to us. I need to make a phone call.
[ringing tone]
[man answers in Spanish]
[in Spanish] Hey, you owe me-- Because
the car is a piece of junk and no good.
[Rabbit, in English] You don't understand
what I'm sayin', but he's pissed.
[in Spanish] b*stard, it has
no transmission, no seats, nothing!
Rabbit and I hauled our asses
all the way to Chihuahua,
spent all this time and money.
And we have nothing to show for it.
[man, in Spanish] Okay, look…
I admit I didn't see the car for myself.
But I was told
it was basically good to go.
But there, in that car place,
I remember that…
Do you fix motorcycles or not?
[Scooter] Anything that falls
into the workshop. Why, what's up?
[Rabbit, in English] Fender's rusted.
Grille's bent.
-Hey, Scooter.
-Yeah.
You see the grille on this thing?
[man, in Spanish]
They had a classic Indian there.
I don't know if it's still there.
[Rabbit] Scooter?
[Scooter] A classic Indian?
-[in English] I can see through the floor.
-Hang on. I got this. Give me a second.
[in Spanish] Are you sure
it was an Indian?
Those bikes are worth a fair amount.
Well, I tell you, it was a classic Indian.
If I had had the money,
I would have bought it.
-Okay.
-[man speaks Spanish]
[Scooter, in Spanish] You've got
to offer more, b*stard. Bye.
[in English] That was Cabe,
my contact, man.
He said that there's
a classic Indian motorcycle here.
-You know those are worth a lot of money.
-We're not a motorcycle shop.
[theme music playing]
There's always potential for everything.
You know that.
[Scooter, in Spanish]
I was told by my contact
they had an Indian motorcycle here.
Yes, there was a motorcycle.
[Scooter, in English] Let's check it out.
[Rabbit] Hopefully, there's some light
at the end of the tunnel. This is a bust.
[Scooter, in Spanish] Come on!
[in English] Look at this, Rabbit.
This is it.
-Whoa, careful. Don't hurt yourself.
-[Rabbit] Whoa.
[Scooter] Looks like an original chassis.
[Rabbit] Indian Motorcycles
was America's first motorcycle company,
beating Harley-Davidson to the punch
by a full two years.
They were also the first
to produce the V-twin engine,
which, back in the early 1900s,
was a bit like strappin'
a rocket to a bicycle.
Word is that Mexico's own Pancho Villa
used the Indian's legendary speed
to conduct motorcycle raids
during the Mexican-American w*r,
just over the river here in El Paso.
With its iconic skirted fenders,
left-hand throttle,
hand-operated gear shift,
and foot-pedal clutch,
this bike was a beefy bad boy of the time.
[Rabbit] There's not a lot here.
-[Scooter] I see… Yeah.
-I mean, this is gold for someone.
[Rabbit] Compared to that '52 Chevrolet,
this is the belle of the ball.
Maybe we can make him an offer for both,
man. What do you think?
[Rabbit] At the end of the day,
whether we bring back a bike, a Chevy,
or a goat, if we can
make money off it for the team,
that's a win.
[Rabbit] Ask him what year that Indian is.
[speaking Spanish]
[responds in Spanish]
[in English] '47, '48.
I am a long shot
from a connoisseur of these bikes,
but I think it's worth the gamble.
Ask him would he take 6,000 for the pair.
[in Spanish] How about $6,000
for the pair?
For the bike and the '52. $6,000.
We get them out of here.
It's just that…
It's a good deal at $8,000 for me. For me.
The weather conditions
are going to take them away.
[speaks Spanish]
[in English] He says seven.
He wants seven.
[in Spanish] That's a good offer.
[Rabbit, in English] We're doing him
a big favor, because we're taking junk.
I wouldn't call it junk
in front of his face, though, but yeah.
[speaking Spanish]
So what? Deal or no deal? He brought
the money, we square up and bounce.
Uh…
It's good.
He says yes. Buenos. Shake on it.
[speaking Spanish]
We were expecting Christie Brinkley.
-And we got her grandmother.
-[Scooter] We got Roseanne Barr.
But that's the thing about this business.
You gotta move fast.
Every minute we're here
we're costing the shop more money,
so we gotta bring cars back.
-[Scooter] You gotta call Jaime.
-[Rabbit] No, no, no.
After many marriages, I've learned
we're better off with a surprise attack.
[Scooter chuckles]
[upbeat music playing]
[car horns blaring]
[car horn beeping]
[Wes] What is this?
-[Rabbit] You said you wanted a '52 Chevy.
-[Scooter] '52.
Really? This car is rough.
-It's your '52.
-I have eyes. I know.
[Jaime] All the chrome is rusted.
The rocker panels are rotted out.
The door is crinkled. Does it even run?
-[Rabbit] No! Hell no.
-[Wes laughs]
Look at this damn thing.
Let's get it unloaded,
-We'll go from there.
-Ándale.
[motor running]
-[Scooter] There it goes.
-[Wes] We're good. Keep rolling.
-Got a lot--
-[Rabbit] Stop!
[motor stops]
-[Rabbit] Let me show you something.
-[Jaime] I'm ready.
Check this out.
[Scooter] Ta-da!
A motorcycle?
It's not just any motorcycle.
This is a 1947 Indian Chief.
-Extremely rare. Extremely valuable.
-[Scooter] Original.
-Original engine.
-Now I'm really pissed.
We're talking about
apples and oranges here.
-Completely.
-We're still a fruit stand.
We don't work on motorcycles here!
[Wes] I do.
-[Rabbit] That's my guy.
-[Jaime] You've worked on bikes?
-Yeah. It's been a while, but--
-[Rabbit] He's a biker dude.
Look at that. You don't grow that
if you're not riding bikes.
I can see him in chaps.
Let me see this thing.
That's the original engine, frame.
How much would you guess
this would sell for alone, Wesley?
Mmm, ten grand.
We paid 6,500 for the pair.
[Wes] If we find the rest of the
original parts, this could be big money.
[Jaime] The thing about this bike is you
cannot rebuild it
with remanufactured parts.
Otherwise, it's just a copy of a classic,
and restoration is the entire point.
How hard is it to find the parts?
[Rabbit] If anybody can, we can.
-[Wes] Yes.
-Okay.
But I am like up to here with all of this.
Luckily, you're not that tall,
so it's really not a lot.
-[laughter]
-[Wes] Let's get it in.
[Rabbit] All right, this thing's
been handled rough, obviously.
But there's somethin' you gotta understand
when buildin' a '50s custom.
These cars take people back.
Everything's bright, diners,
sock hops, American Bandstand.
The person that buys this thing
was probably made
in the back seat of one of these things.
[Rabbit] The 1952 Chevy Fleetline is one
hell of an all-American dream machine.
Part of Chevrolet's Special Deluxe series,
the Fleetline debuted in 1941
and was famous for its sloping roof
and trunk fastback silhouette.
Chevy ceased production in 1952,
and nowadays, they are pretty much
always modded for rodding.
But if you're lucky enough
to sight one out in the wild,
it'll bring a star-spangled tear
to your eye.
And these cars,
when they're done right and got that look,
they can easily sell for 60,000.
If we're gonna do this,
we're really gonna do it.
So I'm figuring, for Fleetlines,
hot-rodding is where the big money's at.
People want power and the look.
What we can do is chop the top
and drop a monster 454 engine
into this thing.
Buyers will come flocking.
[Wes] '50s theme,
chop top's where it's at.
-[Jaime] Let's bring it down three inches.
-[Wes] That'd be good.
We're gonna have to have
custom glass made for this thing.
[Jaime] Now, under the hood, I'm thinking
a Chevy big-block in this, 454.
You know, I love Zodiac vinyl. I'm sure
Lucky could handle that on the seats.
[Lucky] We gotta find some seats first,
'cause, uh, it doesn't have any!
[Jaime] I don't want one piece of chrome
on this car, either.
I want everything to be painted.
[Andy] Being that it's curvy,
what we ought to do
is really accent that with contouring.
-Kind of like women do it with makeup.
-[Rabbit] I like it.
A lot of money
has to go in this car to make it right.
I'm guessing we're gonna have to sink
about 20 grand into the rework.
Like you say, we might as well go all out.
But it's gonna set it apart.
At the bottom, all we can do is go up.
-From here.
-That's it.
Yup.
Growing up, I would help my father
build cars because he was a body man
and he did have a Chevy Fleetline.
And I remember sitting there with him
while he body-worked it.
So, yeah, I mean,
this one hits close to home with me.
[Rabbit] Before I join Scooter
looking for parts,
we should probably talk
about this motorcycle and get it out.
[Wes] I'm kinda excited about it.
So, I'm more of a Harley guy,
but these old Indians,
they're really cool.
You know, it's gonna take a steady hand
and a lot of TLC
to get this thing back together right.
[Jaime] Well, Wes, you're the bike expert,
so what do you think we should do with it?
This style of bike, it would be crazy
to try to do something custom with it.
-[Rabbit] No. No.
-[Andy] Yeah.
[Wes] These bikes are rare and valuable,
and we've got
a mostly original skeleton to work with.
Fully restored, I'll bet we could sell
this bike for 40,000, maybe even $50,000.
It needs to be preserved,
go back all original.
Lucky can do somethin' on the seat.
We need the forks,
front wheel, fenders, tank.
[Jaime] Half the bike.
Let's try to stay below
a five or $6,000 budget on it, though.
You know, I have a lot of work to do,
so I'd better get busy.
But first, Scooter and I have to hit up
the car show to sell the Lincoln.
-[Scooter] Hey.
-Have fun. See you, boys.
Both these projects require
a lot more work than advertised.
We put a lot into outfitting this shop,
plus we left all of our own businesses,
and we have a lot of ground to cover
to make this venture profitable again.
[Andy] Brooms are not always for sweeping.
[Wes] Man, it's a mess in here.
[Lucky] It's a mess, dude.
It's a mess, it's nasty.
[Jaime] This car is not just a mess.
It's a wreck.
The car's been sitting who knows where,
probably out in a field.
[Wes] This thing's full of rat [bleep].
[Andy] That's been a home
for many right there.
[Jaime] Every molding is completely
either smashed, dented.
There's no pattern for the interior.
That's what Lucky's concerned about.
-This stuff is just horrible, man.
-[tool whirs]
Hood comin' off.
[Jaime] Normally, I wouldn't even mess
with a car in this condition.
But the parts are common enough,
and I think we can source them cheap,
which means we should be able to flip
this Fleetline and make a great profit.
If we play it just right.
[Jaime] Oh, wow, there's vice grips
on the brake line.
[Andy] What?
[lively rock 'n' roll playing]
[Rabbit] The south Texas sun is shinin',
and I'm feeling good about this car show.
[Scooter] This is the perfect time
to show our Lincoln Continental
because they don't come to look,
they come to buy.
[Rabbit] Collectors are serious
about their cars.
And you can't be serious about cars
unless you got serious money.
[Scooter] I guess we'll see what people
really think about Andy's dragon too.
-Let's get to sellin'.
-[Scooter] All right.
[Rabbit] Gentlemen, this here
is a 1966 Lincoln Continental
with suicide doors.
-Rare as they come.
-Oh yeah.
We just finished it up.
[Scooter] If you're buying, we're selling.
Check it out.
[Rabbit] Leon.
Check out that custom interior,
lovingly rendered in-house
by our dedicated
Borderland Customs artist, Lucky.
How much did you want for this?
Ninety thousand, sir.
-Cool car, but not for me. Thank you.
-Thanks for lookin', bud.
It's not my style.
It's really nice, though.
[Scooter] What's your style?
If you got a Fox Body Mustang,
you give me a call, I'm your guy.
-[Scooter] Oh, all right.
-We'll keep that in mind, sir.
Picture yourself steppin' out
of these suicide doors, Zeke.
You roll up in one of these things,
life rolls out the red carpet for you.
-Okay.
-Looks like you like this thing.
I guess you saw through my glasses.
I do like it, man.
It's a good year.
But, damn, I'm having a hard time
with this dragon, man.
-[Scooter] It matches your shirt, kind of.
-No, no, no.
-[Scooter] No?
-[Zeke] Good luck to you, man.
[Rabbit] Thanks for looking.
[Scooter] Okay, thanks, Zeke.
[collector 1] It's a big engine.
I don't know about that.
That red interior really works, though.
It's just a little different
for me, but, um…
A nice job on it, though, really nice job.
-Well, thank you for looking.
-[Jerry] Uh-huh.
[Rabbit] Give us a holler
if you change your mind.
[engine starts]
There's a buyer for this car
and I know it. It's just Andy's dragon…
I don't think's bringin' the heat.
Yep. It got people's attention.
But there's attention
and there's this kind of attention.
[Rabbit] It's not exactly
what we were looking for.
Between this and trying to find
the parts for the Indian…
striking out all the way around.
You know, El Paso's pretty big
on the motorcycle club scene.
I know a couple of guys
that belong to separate clubs.
-Plus, I know where they hang out.
-[Rabbit] Why haven't we done this?
[Scooter] Because we're here!
Damn it, Scooter, let's get in the car.
[jaunty music playing]
[Wes] We got the '52 Chevy in today.
All the door glass is out.
We're gonna chop this top.
How much of a chop are we thinking?
[Jaime] What does this line signify?
[Wes] This is the cuts.
-The center section's gonna come out.
-[Jaime] Okay.
So, it's gonna bring the window down
Maybe bring it down to about ten.
So, you don't think,
like, eight would look best?
-For a short person, maybe.
-Okay.
It could limit buyers. We don't want
a mailbox slot, I don't think.
Yeah, but is it still gonna be noticeable
that it has a chop?
They're gonna know it was chopped,
but it's not gonna be an aggressive chop.
Okay.
[Jaime] On this '52 Chevy, it's super
important that we get this chop right.
You know, he wanted
more of a conservative chop.
I wanted more of an aggressive.
So we're gonna go with what Wes says.
It would take away from the car
if the top was too short.
[Jaime] If we cut too much
off of it first,
there's no way
we can go back to it later.
You know, I appreciate
you talking to me about this.
-Unlike what Rabbit does.
-Uh-huh.
Just goes for it
and asks for forgiveness later?
-That's not gonna work much longer.
-[chuckles]
[upbeat country music playing]
[Jaime] You really know
how to mess up a car, don't you?
-[metal grinding]
-[Jaime] Oof!
This is kinda scary
looking at it like this.
I say we just keep it a convertible.
My job's done.
[both laugh]
There's a lot of work left.
[Spanish-language pop song playing]
[Lucky] This is the second
top to bottom interior design
I've had to do since comin' to the shop.
This car had nothin', not even seats.
So it's, like, double the work.
It's trial by fire, baby.
The thing about sewing is
you gotta go slow.
-Boom.
-[Jaime] Hey.
-What's up?
-[Jaime] It's just so quiet in here.
I haven't heard
anything hit the wall lately.
That's 'cause I gotta go slow right here
when I'm doing all this sewing.
Man, is that looking good!
It's very bling.
-All this, sparkly when the light hits it.
-[Jaime] Yeah. Mm-hmm.
-That's the era, it's from the '50s.
-So blingy.
-Yeah. It belongs in this car, you know?
-Yeah.
We got the sparkly vinyl
inserts right here.
So it's basically going to sit like this.
It's so full custom.
You can't just buy anything like that.
-Oh no.
-This is, like, one of a kind.
-One of a kind.
-[Jaime] Mmm.
[Lucky] Anybody cravin' some chicken?
[rock music playing]
[Lucky] First time I had
chicken and waffles with bacon,
but I'm not complaining.
-Anything with bacon on it is good.
-[Lucky] I can live off bacon.
I'll tell you that.
I don't know about y'all,
but it's freaking cold here in El Paso.
-[Wes] It's gettin' chilly.
-[Jaime] Are you kiddin' me?
You would not survive in Chicago
for one minute, then.
-This is--
-[Wes] I can do the heat, not the cold.
This is vacation weather to us.
It's so cold, when you breathe in,
your nose hairs freeze.
-Yeah, I skip that.
-[Jaime laughs]
[Wes] Yeah, I'm good on that.
Why don't you go ahead and just
move your whole family down here,
so that way, you don't have to go through
those harsh winters anymore?
[Jaime] I definitely thought about it.
[Jaime] My family's still in Chicago,
and I struggled a lot
missing them last year.
I really feel like we're doing
something great here
with Borderland Customs,
so I'm trying to talk my husband
into moving down here.
It is a huge decision.
I have so much up there.
My roots are up there.
I have a family business up there.
So I have to be 100% sure
that Borderland Customs
is doing what it needs to do,
it's on the right path,
because to uproot my life like this
and move this direction, it's a lot.
-[Wes] Oh, look here.
-[Andy] I see you…
[Rabbit] What's goin' on?
-[Wes] We tried to wait on y'all, but--
-But we didn't.
-[laughs]
-Yeah, we didn't.
-So, how was the show?
-[Rabbit and Scooter] It was great.
We had a lot of people looking,
taking pictures, all that good stuff.
-[Andy] We're just lookin' for a buyer.
-[Rabbit] We didn't find that.
Don't tell me it's the dragon on
the side of it did that. There's no way.
[Rabbit] People love to look at it.
We just gotta find that one
who wants to look at it in his driveway.
[Jaime] We've been at it for three weeks,
we're burning through our cash reserves,
and we've only sold the Camaro.
One car, Jaime.
We hit a little bump in the road.
[Scooter] It's a high-end gorgeous car,
but for a specific audience.
It's like the glass slipper. You gotta
find the right foot to put it on.
Have I ever dropped the ball yet?
Have I not delivered?
Rabbit, we don't want to hear fairy tales,
we just want to hear the plan.
The plan is just keep the course,
and we'll move this car.
You guys stay busy in the shop,
me and Scooter got work to do now.
Guys, come on. Get this sold.
-We will. We'll get it sold.
-We will.
[upbeat music playing]
Little bit of heatin' and a beatin'.
[Wes] What's up?
[Jaime] Looks like you got
some progress on this thing.
[Wes] Actually, I was able
to make a few calls back in Dallas,
and I was able to find us a front wheel,
fender, forks, and the handlebars.
And these beautiful lights.
Problem is, I'm having trouble finding
pretty much the rest of the bike.
I've had a few leads, I've found a tank,
but it's not painted. It's bare metal.
In reality, how many pieces
are we really missing?
-Well, I've started a list here.
-Oh no.
Fuel tank, rear fender,
gauges, engine cover,
the signature Indian Chief nose trim,
the tool box, kick-starter pedal,
floorboards, crash bar.
[sighs]
Okay, so are we trying to hold out
to keep searching to see if maybe Rabbit
and Scooter can find something?
-It would be great, yeah.
-[both laugh]
They gave us a mess, they're gonna
have to figure this out. 100%.
Let me see your list.
[laughs]
-Oh my gosh.
-[Wes] Yeah.
-[Jaime] Okay.
-[Wes] That's their homework.
[upbeat music playing]
-[Wes] You got it, Jaime?
-I'm holding it.
[phone ringing]
Borderland Customs. This is Rabbit.
Hey, Rabbit, how's it going?
This is Zeke. How're you doing, man?
[Rabbit] Doin' great, Zeke.
We are workin' the phones
trying to unload this Lincoln
to get the shop back in the black.
I'll tell you somethin'.
This dragon has went from attention-getter
to a first-class customer k*ller.
[Rabbit] How's the world
treatin' you today?
We're doing pretty fair to middling.
I was at a car show a while back.
You guys had a '66 Lincoln Continental.
[Rabbit] Looks like you like it.
I guess you saw through my glasses.
I do like it, man.
It's a good year,
but, damn, I'm having a hard time
with this dragon, man.
-[Zeke] What are you asking for it, man?
-[Rabbit] It's a high-end car.
We're asking 90 grand.
Which is… That's a lot of money,
but it's a lot of car.
Yeah. It's just that dragon, man.
It's a little bit too much out there.
-[Rabbit] It's out there, for sure.
-Yeah.
We can change that dragon.
I mean, that's an expense.
[Zeke] Yeah. Yeah.
[Rabbit] How serious are you
about buyin' this car?
[Zeke] I'm serious.
[Rabbit] I tell you what.
Would you give 90 grand for that car
if I calm the dragon down?
[Zeke] I believe I can.
-Right.
-Let me touch base with my painter.
But I'm 99.9 we just
put a deal together, sir.
-That's what I'm talking about.
-What I'm screamin'.
-Zeke, I'll give you a buzz, sir.
-Yes, sir. Bye-bye.
Yes!
-Now we gotta paint it.
-No, Andy has to paint it.
-I'm not gonna tell him. You tell him.
-The customer's always right.
Good luck, Rabbit.
[edgy music playing]
[sanding]
[Rabbit] This is what I love!
-The sound of sandpaper against metal.
-[Andy] What up, Rabbit?
Caught me playin' in the sand.
Look what the cat dragged in.
-I'm tellin' you, man.
-What's happenin'?
-What's up?
-[Rabbit] Lincoln is sold.
-That is good news.
-There's a little catch. Um…
Oh, that usually comes with bad news.
What you got?
So, you remember that…
that fancy fangled paint job?
Yeah, I'm pretty proud of it.
The new owner likes it.
He just doesn't love it.
-Oh…
-So he wants to repaint it.
He wants to repaint it. Wow.
But we did get full asking price.
For the car.
-Which is?
-90 grand.
-[Andy] 90 grand.
-[Rabbit] Think about it.
A lot of eyeballs saw that fancy dragon
and all that stuff,
and there's somebody that wants that.
One of them deals where it all worked out,
just on the wrong car.
We gotta make it
where they're happy with it.
It's not about us, it's about them.
You're right.
Whatever color they want, I don't care.
-I'm good.
-Smear more paint and take more money.
[Andy] All right, here we go.
I'm proud of the dragon, but I get it.
We've got a business to run.
We sunk 25 to $26,000 in this Lincoln.
And if Rabbit can get 90 grand for it,
that puts us in a profit margin
of around $60,000.
So, still hurts a little bit that
I've gotta, you know, slay the dragon.
But I'll take one for the team.
Let's do it.
[jaunty music playing]
[whooshing]
[Wes] Let's put this thing in there.
I think this will be a good selling point
for the car also.
-I mean, if--
-The engine and transmission combo's epic.
This is a far cry from that six-cylinder.
-It's gonna make it move.
-[Wes] For sure.
[Jaime] It's in.
Let's get it to Andy
and put that cool fade paint job on it.
[Scooter] Rabbit, great news!
Come on. You're gonna like this, man.
-They're almost here, man.
-[Rabbit] What? Who's almost here?
[Scooter] I got us the Indian parts, man.
I was at sh**ter's,
and I met two guys, Rocket and Santos.
They said they had the parts
for the Indian bike.
-[motorcycles approaching]
-That's them.
[Rabbit] Holy Hells Angels.
[Scooter] Nice.
-[Rabbit] They just keep coming.
-It was just two of 'em when I met 'em.
Scooter, you never cease to surprise me.
You're telling me you found the parts
for that Indian motorcycle
by cosplaying the biker scene
from Pee-wee's Big Adventure?
What can I say, man? "Tequila!"
[Rabbit] Remind me to call my mom
and tell her I love her.

You got the signature Indian seat.
Don't worry, that's not blood.
[Rabbit] Yeah, I think this is a score.
These've been impossible to find.
-They're matching '47 Chief parts?
-Yeah.
[Scooter] Did Scooter just hit a home run?
[Rocket] Hang on. They're not yours yet.

-Uh, yeah.

-[Santos] That's pushing it.
Ugh.
-That's more than we paid for the bike.
-[Scooter] Yeah.
We got ourselves in a fix here.
We need these parts bad
[Scooter] Yeah, and Jaime
put us on a six grand budget.

All right, so hear me out.
You cut us a deal on these parts,

How much of a sweet deal are you talkin'?
The whole lot. We'll give you six grand.
We'll build you guys a badass Harley here

It is a big risk. I don't know how I feel
about being indebted to a biker g*ng.

Those guys weren't exactly Boy Scouts.
Next drink's on you.
You got all that cash.

we'll let you ride it first. All right.
I'd rather roll the dice
than have Jaime on my a*s

-[Jaime] Mm-hmm.
[Wes] We owe for these parts?
Okay. So the Grimlords,
who I guess is like a biker g*ng
or something here in El Paso,
sold the parts to Rabbit and Scooter.
But now we have to build them a bike.
We're buildin' them a bike for free?
-That's--
-For these parts?
That's the way it sounds to me.
[Jaime] I gotta hand it to 'em.
Scooter and Rabbit coming through
with these Indian parts was clutch.
Even if they did strike a deal
to build a free motorcycle in the future.
But now that we have
our first bike finished,
we need to get it in front of a buyer.
[Jaime] You got a manual for a '47 Indian
you're workin' out of?
[Wes] This is old-school,
when people knew how mechanics work.
The owner's manual
shows you how to start it,
set the timing, the valves.
Nowadays, the owner manual tells you
not to drink the battery acid.

when we found it.
And tracking down the right parts
was a journey in itself.

[Andy] The Fleetline is primed and ready,

It's particularly ideal to fade paint
on this '52 Fleetline because it's round.
There are no hard lines.

A fade can be very difficult,
