very rarely get a chance,

and I don't just mean
a chance to be head coach.

I mean, chance to be a part of a program.

of trying to provide opportunity
for those that deserve it,

but that don't always get it.

I've never had the honor
to play in this stadium.

came with Coach Prime
from Jackson State.

I'm glad that I took that leap of faith
because I was just a part

of history in Jackson State,
and now it's time to make history again.

So I first Met Coach Prime
September 21st, 2020,

and it was an easy decision
to follow him in Colorado

because we literally
have become friends.

We've become family.
We talk about things outside of football.

When you see him walk through life,

he does not make other people
feel small around him.

He will tell you,
"The spotlight is gonna be on me.

And so while you're next to me,
make sure you get some of that light

and grow what you're doing."

I was working in corporate America,
retired from football, done with it.

And I met this man.

And this man spoke life into me.

He breathes life into everybody.

[Coach Prime] Coach Hart,
we've been together for over 20 years.

We started with this youth organization
called TRUTH.

Not only is he a great friend,
but he's like a brother.

He's like my little brother.

He's been an advocate, a mentor,
and a sponsor to every single one of us.

He was just like a father figure to me.

He would call me weekly,
check on me weekly.

He told me one day
if he ever got a job, he would hire me.

And as you can see, man, I'm here now
because he's a man of his word.

I gotta be in one of these.

I think we truly have a really good staff.

I really do.

Not only guys that understand
the Xs and Os,

but guys that understand people.

from day one with him

and seen how he do things
and some of the things he expect

and some of the things
that he's working towards,

I sent Coach Prime a text to say,
you know, "Hey, man, I'm proud of you."

And probably about maybe an hour later,
he texts back.

"Man, I'm proud of us."

And that's what Coach Prime has done here.

He has made America and Black America
believe that it's gonna be remembered

as a season of where opportunity
and belief from a Black head coach,

what he can accomplish
when he has support around him.

So I'm looking forward
to not what it means now.

But going forward,
it's gonna mean everything.

It's gonna be history-making.

continue for the Buffaloes up front,

giving up sacks, giving up pressures
on quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

At this point, we're starting to look
at an all-time record

for hits by a quarterback.

And then with the suspension
