We're feeling
really good as a team,

going into today's jobsite.

We've won three in a row,
we really want that fourth win,

and we're money-hungry today.

Do you have any idea
what is behind you?

Oil derricks.

An oil pumpjack.

These pumps help
to fuel America.

Back in the day,
when they pumped it

out of the ground and
they put it in barrels,

you had to move them by hand.

And that's what you're gonna do.

You're gonna be doing
it the old-fashioned way.

When the work whistle blows,

go to the barrels behind me
and look at the work order,

which shows the 24
barrels you need to collect.

That work order stays there.

You can't take it with you,

which is gonna make this
job extremely challenging

because the color-coded,
numbered barrels you need

to find are scattered
across this oil field.

This is not only gonna
tax your memory,

it's also gonna
tax you physically,

because you have to
push your barrels uphill

before placing them
on your truck and trailer.

The first team to correctly
fill out the work order

and close the tailgates

of the truck and trailer
will win the $12,000 prize.

This job requires communication
and a coordinated team effort.

And for the winner,
not only will you get the money,

you'll be getting
the Badge of Honor.

Our plan is to fill the
back of the truck first.

It's all the same color.

As long as we get the
numbers right and in order.

were a good strategy

When the work whistle blows,

and the tools that you
need to install conduit

from the first junction box,
down through the cutouts

in the frame, over the door

and then into this
second junction box.

Remember,
you need to thread electrical cable

through the conduit and
light up your light bulb.

It's that easy.

and stay in contention

for the individual

and punch out.

Michelle,
you look a little nervous on this one.

I'm trying to adopt Young's
philosophy and relax,

and tackle it the best I can.

Luis starting
with a piece of conduit

and measuring straight away.

Looks like Michelle's measuring

with tape exactly how
long she needs her conduit.

I need a measuring tape,
and it's not available.

She's using what she has.

This is what you
call creative thinking.

Luis is already cutting.

This is Luis's first time

going into O.T., you know?

I think there's a lot of
stuff going through his mind

right now,
but Luis is very determined.

He's got that fire in him,
and I'm rooting for him.

Oh, getting a pipe bender.

My strategy is to use

as many long pieces I can

and avoid the cuts... if I can

make a bunch of U-connections,

I'm gonna have a
chance at only having

to screw two of the
connecting pipes in place.

He's cutting his
pipe into what looks

like smaller pieces
than Michelle's.

figure out how to cut his pipe.

Michelle has got her first bend.

And I thought she didn't
know what she was doing.

Michelle,
she's a little handywoman

around the house,
so she do a little handy tools

and stuff like that,

figuring out how stuff goes.

And Luis has his
first piece of conduit cut now.

Michelle already putting
her wire through the conduit.

Luis not sure whether
that piece is gonna fit.

and he's abandoning that idea!

Grabbing more
conduit from the pile.

Michelle's bending her conduit,

now she's feeding the
wire through the conduit.

Meanwhile,
Luis is struggling to get that first bend.

He's using his feet
instead of the tool.

And now he has a kink.

That's gonna
make it really tough

to thread the cable through.

I was rushing,
and my technique was off.

I was surprised because, like,

I'm usually really
good with my hands.

I have to make sure that I just
pace myself and do a good job.

Michelle is the first person

to get a piece of
conduit installed.

- You done this before?
- I like my drill.

At home, I told my husband,
"You are not allowed

to buy me a kitchen
appliance ever again."

So he starts buying
me power tools.

Me just doing my little
handyman work at home

could help me stay
in the competition.

Michelle off to a
flying start here.

But Luis seems to have
his bend in the wrong place.

There's no way
that's going to fit.

The bend needs
to be much higher.

So he's marking exactly
where it needs to be.

sometime you can copy the technique

and beat them at their own game.

I was focusing more on myself,

rather than worry

They start, like, looking around

instead of just
focusing on themselves

and finishing the job.

Luis now
has the right length of pipe

to go over the
top of the doorway.

But he has yet to make a bend
that doesn't have a kink in it.

She's figuring out where
she's gonna make another cut.

That's two pieces now that
haven't worked out for him.

He's gonna have to get
another one from the pile.

checking the measurement.

seems to have a problem.

She's cut her pipe
about an inch too short.

Luis is coming back,
he's getting himself together.

- You looking good!
- I got to raise this just a little bit.

Now here comes Luis.

He just bent one of his pipes.

There you go, that'll work.

- There you go. - Okay, Luis.

Okay!

I got to raise
this just a little bit.

- I got to raise it the right way.
- You got to raise it?

Michelle and Luis in a battle

right now for the individual
competition as they

try to attach the conduit
to the cutouts in their frame.

Measure, measure, measure.

Luis is yet to make

a perfect bend in his conduit.

They've all got kinks in them.

And that'll affect whether

he can get the wire
through the pipe.

The nerves are obviously there.

But I'm gonna give it
my all no matter what.

So it's not an excuse.

Perfect.

He'll need to add a second bend,

but so far,
that's a great fit for the first piece.

And it looks like Michelle has

finally joined her
two pieces together.

to his first piece.

Not exactly perfect
with the pipe bender,

but he's getting there.

And Michelle moving onto
her third piece of conduit,

as Luis tries to
get his first piece

attached to the junction box.

He's not even feeding
his wire through.

make her third connection.

the connection over here,
