Seeing Candy for the first time
was nothing like I was expecting.

She's got some sass. I love it.

I was on the brink
of becoming a professional dancer

and then I got cancer.

Being Candy allows people

Not as the girl that was sick.

She is what I feel inside
that I can't project always outside.

Towards the end of the routine,
there's crazy tumbling,

and getting my body
to do some of this stuff

that it hasn't done in years,
it's been a challenge.

That was hard, okay.

It's like this huge
rollercoaster of emotions,

but through Candy,
I will be getting into this next round.

is definitely nerve-wracking

because she's a TikTok superstar.

I've always dreamed of being a pro dancer.

A lot of the time, dancing on TikTok

can be looked over,
not taken as seriously,

but Dance Monsters allows me to dance
and be myself without being judged.

For this performance,

the choreography is definitely
the hardest I've ever done.

It's definitely added more pressure
but as a TikTok dancer,

I want to prove to myself
and everyone else

that I'm capable of so much more.

What's going on, folks?

[Slink] I've always really wanted
to have a dance career,

but I am a research scientist
in cancer progression

and when I really started
to focus in on my PhD,

I had to give up dance.

Dance Monsters
is such an amazing opportunity

to get my dance dream back.

When I saw Slink the first time...
[laughs]

I think the best way
I can describe it is magical.

I mean, on a scale of 1 to 10, easily 11.

I've never really danced
on stage by myself.

So it's new and uncharted.

So I'm definitely pushing myself
to execute tricks,

like a barrel turn.

It's a very high energy move,
playful and dynamic.

So, Slink is definitely taking chances.

This is such an amazing opportunity for me

because never in my dance career
have I been center stage.

And so I intend to take chances,

to really push the envelope
when I'm on the stage.

I sort of lost that vibe slightly.

I really would love to see you,

because I love you as a dancer,

Beneath all this shiny metal,
I'm a farmer from North Carolina.

Seeing myself as Darcy was probably
the wildest experience I've ever had.

She's so cute.

When people find out I'm a farmer,

they're just surprised
that I'm also a ballet dancer.

I definitely dance around
the farm sometimes.

The chickens
are probably the best audience.

The pigs are a little unsure
about everything.

[chuckles]

When I started my farm,
I had to stop dancing

because there just wasn't time.
It's non-stop.

It's not just physically hard
but it's also emotionally taxing as well.

You don't clock out.
You never have a day off.

I never have time to dance.

energy dipped a little bit,
I started looking at my shoe realizing,

When you're on that stage,
you are superhuman.

The party follows you wherever you go.

Other than that,
looking forward to the next Ferg party,

I'm going to bring

Making the dance your own

I've got a feeling
we're not going to agree.

I, I have that same feeling.

-[Ne-Yo] Hammer. What do we think?
-I liked him a lot.

He incorporated some of being,
like, being a shark into the dance.

There's a lot of potential
for what he could have done.

-Mm.
-And he didn't.

I definitely want to see him more.

No matter what happens,
everyone should be proud, super proud.

Darcy.

I think Darcy
is bringing a different style.

[Ashley Banjo] I think Darcy's
a really technical dancer.

Would she be in my top three?
For me, she would.

I liked her.

You cannot tell me
she was stable, she was balanced...

But the difficulty of what she was doing

compared to some
of the other monsters was way higher.

I really liked his performance.

[Lele] I feel like
he has so much potential.

can we just be friends for a minute

and talk about Candy
because I know that we all love her.

What? I wasn't... I wasn't blown away.

might outweigh the skill level.

[Ashley Banjo] If I'm honest with you,
I just wasn't impressed.

If you look at the performance
for what it was,

I don't think that she brought enough.

But I felt like I got enough
to want to see more.

-For me, Ferg is not in the top three.

I think this monster is one

has given me the opportunity to be free.

I keep wanting to be Ferg
and getting to live my best life.

[Darcy] I've had an injury,

and there were a few shakes,
there were a few wobbles,

but I want to have a second opportunity
to show everyone what I can do.

to get slightly more competitive

with their abilities, with their dance

and the one that I feel like
accomplished that was...

This is a really hard decision.

But watching this person dance
made me want to dance.

Made me feel something
and I have a lot of faith in this person,

so the monster that I want to see
in the next round is...

Slink.

This was a really,
really tough decision tonight.

that you need to work on.

So the monster that I chose...

was based on who I think I'm most excited

to see reach their maximum potential.

And that monster for me...
