Tonight, four more contenders
from all over this great nation

gear up for all-out w*r
against our American Gladiators,

here to defend their house.

So to bring it all down,
I'm handing it over to

our play-by-play commentator,
Chris Rose.

{\an8}All right, thank you very much, Miz.
It's night four of the prelims.

The lights are bright,
the tensions are high,

{\an8}and our Gladiators are amped up
and itching to defend the Gauntlet.

{\an8}Oh!

{\an8}It's a lineup of pain, pressure,
and pure Gladiator chaos.

{\an8}It's over, boy.

{\an8}[indistinct trash-talking]

{\an8}[Chris] The American Gladiator classic,
Gauntlet, has returned to the arena.

Each Gladiator is responsible
for defending their zone of the Gauntlet.

Every time you make it past a Gladiator,
you get two points.

If you go all the way
through the Gauntlet before time runs out,

you pick up ten points.

Tonight's four contenders each bring
their own reason for competing:

redemption, adrenaline, pride,

{\an8}but none more so than our first
male contender, stuntman Ben Galper.

{\an8}Let's find out more.

I've been working in stunts
at big theme parks.

When I work in stunts,
I often portray a bad guy.

That is not who I am.
I am very nice,

{\an8}but I've always been very driven

{\an8}and do not quit.

I was climbing stuff before I was walking.

I have 16 world records in grip strength.

{\an8}Yeah!

{\an8}Yeah!

Most of that grip strength
came from rock climbing.

I'm very competitive.

I refuse to be weak.

I want to prove to myself
that I truly am the strongest.

[cheering]

{\an8}Ben's life has been a gauntlet of its own,

and he's come out stronger every time.

But can he do it again
against these Gladiators?

{\an8}Ace, Neon, Mayhem, and The Bull.

[screaming]

[Chris] First event of the night for Ben.
He's fired up.

Gladiators, ready!

[grunting]

[Thomas] Three, two, one!

[whistle blows]

[Chris] Ben, facing the tough reality
that he is undersized,

but gets past Ace for two points.

Working against Neon,
using those two pads.

Neon charges.

Ben, losing his balance,
trying to spin through.

He picks up two more points.
Now working on Mayhem.

He gets past him,
but now he's got The Bull.

[whistle blows]

[Chris] And he gets past Bull
and picks up ten points!

What? What? What?

[Chris] Oh, no.

Mocking The Bull.

[Thomas] Hey, stop.

Right at my face!

[Thomas] Stop.

You're just bad.

[Chris] Ben taunting The Bull.

Hey, I thought he said he was a nice guy.

[Rocsi] Fellas, come on over here.

Ben, what was going
through your mind

to not have that quitting mentality?

[Ben] I mean, I was tired.

They're strong. They're real strong.

You made it through the Gauntlet.
I don't know how, but you made it through.

He grew up in the great state of Ohio,

{\an8}but now works in real estate down
in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Time to see if Bobby can survive
this Gauntlet.

[Chris] Bobby says
he doesn't need the money,

but he is doing American Gladiators

because it checks something off
his bucket list.

My bucket list is crazy.

I love to travel.

I've seen the pyramids.

I've kickboxed in Thailand.

I climbed mountains in Cape Town.

{\an8}I've done it all.
I've seen it all.

{\an8}And American Gladiators is definitely
the next thing to cross off the list

because it's the greatest TV show
in American history.

And now I get to show my athleticism
on the world's biggest stage.

People always say I look
like young John Travolta and Joel Osteen.

But after I win American Gladiators,
they remember Bobby Levine.

[crowd cheering]

[Chris] Bobby Levine found
wrestling in high school.

Let's see how he does.

Gladiators, ready!

- [whistle blows]

[Chris] 40 seconds to get down
the Gauntlet.

Whoa! Bobby went flying, courtesy of Ace.

Great job by Ace.

Working side to side.

Neon doing a great job stopping him.

- Bobby can't get past him.
- [Thomas] Get up! Get up!

[Chris] Finally picks up two more points.

Mayhem just knocked him silly
all the way backwards.

- Mayhem loses his shield.
- [Thomas] Hey, stop!

[Chris] One more shot at the board.

- [whistle blows]
- [Chris] That's gonna do it.

Bobby picks up six points
but doesn't make it all the way.

A great job by the Gladiators.

[The Bull] Oh!

- [Rocsi] Bobby.

[Rocsi] Fellas, let me get you over here.

I'm like skinny marink to these guys.
Unbelievable. I had so much fun.

I just wish I had
one more chance against The Bull.

in a special wild-card Eliminator.

Bailey beat out Karizma

{\an8}and she's here stopping
at the scene to see

who she's gonna be lined up against
in the next round.

It'll either be Michelle or Fallon.

{\an8}Fallon's a bug-k*lling jujitsu black belt

{\an8}who has some unfinished family business
with the Gladiators.

{\an8}Michelle, this ultra-competitive
board game strategist,

{\an8}is looking to beat the Gladiators
at their own game.

the Queen's Gambit of American Gladiators.

[Michelle] I definitely plan
on trash-talking to the Gladiators

They're people just like us.

I'm 38 years old.

{\an8}I'm from Atlanta, Georgia,
and I'm an original Georgia Peach, baby.

I'm extremely competitive.
I talk trash.

I have game nights all the time.

[Michelle] I feel like that's going
to help me have an edge

over the Gladiators
because it's not just about physical play.

You have to be able to strategize,

formulate different plans
of attack to win.

Game nights versus my mom
versus my friends,

you will be sure to have a good time.

I find that board games are
a stress reliever in a sense.

It allows for some me time.

[voice breaking]
I was in a domestic violence relationship

that lasted for about three years.

Um...

Having survived that years ago,

it just shows me how strong I am.

Having that mental fortitude,
but also using my physical skill set,

is something
that's gonna definitely help me.

Winning American Gladiators
and even just being on this show,

I hope will show women
that they can conquer feats

that they never thought that they could.

I wanted to make sure that I get
all the points that I could get.

And I wasn't gonna let anybody stop me.

Gladiator or not.

Crush was giving you
a little bit of trouble in the end.

What was going through your mind
to not have that quitting mentality?

That just comes with
will and determination.

[The Miz] Who hit the hardest?

I can't even remember.
They all felt alike, I don't...

My dad auditioned to be
in the original American Gladiators

in the 80s, and he didn't make the cut.

But I'm here to tell the Gladiators

that they cannot avoid
the Fratone family twice, baby.

We do not see a lot of women
in pest control.

{\an8}I'm used to getting my hands dirty,
trust me.

Army crawling through a tight crawl space

and having rats run across your arms,
that's scary.

Facing the Gladiators, that's easy.
[chuckles]

My inspiration to wanting to do this
was definitely my dad.

He worked 45 years in pest control,

but when I was 25 years old,
my dad had a stroke

and everything changed.

My brother and I became the parent,
but my dad took care of us for so long

that I wouldn't want it
any other way, for sure.

I used to be able to do
sixty pushups easy.

- Can you still do 60 push-ups?
- I don't think so.

[laughing]

My dad is the most important person
in my life,

and I just really want to make him proud.

I came here to do what I do best,
and that is to exterminate pests,

and in this case, it's all the Gladiators.
[giggling]

{\an8}[Chris] Fallon's dad, Bobby,
her brother's girlfriend,

{\an8}and Bobby Jr. are here.

It's the same foursome that was just
steamrolled by Michelle Keith.

{\an8}Voltage, Empire, Hurricane, and Crush.

Contender, ready!

[Chris] Fallon got into jujitsu
because of her brother, Bobby.

First time she ever tried it,
she made six guys in a row tap out.

Gladiators, ready!

[whistle blows]

[Chris] Fallon needs to cover
the 45 feet in 30 seconds.

She already picks up two points.

She gets past Empire.

Now dealing with Hurricane,
another spin move.

One more obstacle standing in her way.

[dramatic music plays]

[Chris] And it is no longer.

And she crushes Crush.

That cruiser, Fallon,
picking up a cool ten points,

tying it up with Michelle.
It's 10-10.

[cheering loudly]

[The Miz] Come on in, Fallon.

[Rocsi] She's allowed to strut.

- That was a great performance.
- Ten points on the board.

[The Miz] How you feeling?

I feel great.

I'll give you blue belts.
Not black yet, like me.

[Rocsi laughs]

Now, that was actually really
an amazing performance.

Do you feel like your jujitsu helped you
out when it came to the Gauntlet?

I'm used to contact.
I'm a fighter through and through.

Contact is nothing to me.

{\an8}[Chris] Bobby Levine is a type 1 diabetic,

but that certainly hasn't slowed him down.

It's actually increased his desire
to become an athlete.

[Bobby] I grew up in Columbus, Ohio.

I was a very small child growing up.
I got bullied in middle school.

In high school, I was diagnosed
with type 1 diabetes.

So I've always had
the underdog aspect part of me.

I took the bullying and the abuse
to high school,

and that's when I got into wrestling,
and I said,

I'll never, ever let that happen to me.

And that's why I stay in shape
as much as I can.

Constantly working out
with my friends outside,

running, biking, golfing,
and kickboxing as well.

I am here
because I've always been told no.

I've always been a fighter,
and I'm going to win American Gladiators

{\an8}because I'm just going to find
a way to win.

{\an8}[Chris] As you can see,
Bobby's got the entire brigade with him.

As for the Gladiator chasing him down,

this bright light's about
to knock your lights out.

and it is lights out for Bobby.

It was like you were back
on the football field

with that tackle.

What was even going through your head?

Well, I did play football
at West Virginia State University,

played strong safety, and that's exactly
what happened out there.

I came out here
and showed you what I can do.

I've been training for this
my entire life,

- and now it's my time to shine.

Ben going straight, showing off

Now retreating left, now right.

Finally going forward, breaks through.

Oh, and he gets ripped down by Steel!

[buzzer]

[Chris] Who makes amends

from a disappointing
earlier season performance.

Ben is down for the count
with just two points.

Wardrobe, wardrobe.

[Steel] Who's house?

[woman] Steel's house!

Yeah!

[Chris] Ben made the first two points
look pretty easy,

but Steel clearly wanted to see
the stuntman in action,

and they both ended up taking a fall.

[The Miz] Where's your shirt, man?

What happened?

Did you miss it?

Don't blink.

How was that up there, having a Gladiator?

You're a stuntman.
You're used to heights.

In stunts, everything
is coordinated up there.

I had no clue what he was going to do.

I wasn't expecting him to be able
to move that quick.

I underestimated him just slightly, but...

[Rocsi laughs]

And Steel is still gloating.

He has your shirt like it's his trophy.

{\an8}[Chris] After The Edge,
the Gladiators make quick work

{\an8}of Ben and Bobby.

to the women's heat.

{\an8}but you feel that sudden gust of wind
batting down the hatches.

because she's about to be hit by...

Hurricane!

[Chris] Michelle Keith is built for power.

She's going to have to throw off
some speed 30 feet in the air.

Gladiator, ready!

[Chris] Earlier this season,
Hurricane ended the dream of a contender

in just nine seconds in this event.

[Thomas] Three, two, one!

[whistle blows]

[Chris] Michelle starting to commit.

Goes right up the middle.

Now breaks right.

Looking, looking.
Gets off to the right.

Oh, no!
Hurricane loses a knee pad!

And now Michelle scores the two points.

We know that she's all about game night,

but stop strategizing, start moving!

[crowd] Oh!

[dramatic music plays]

[Chris] But look at Hurricane,
just barely missed the platform.

The athleticism, keeps herself upright

as Michelle Keith finishes
with two points.

Hurricane is definitely at least
a category four when it comes to The Edge.

{\an8}[The Miz] Fallon's up,
waiting to take her down.

She's got your scent,
and she's on the prowl.

It's Huntress!

{\an8}[Rocsi] 5'6", 140 pounds,
Huntress is young, hungry,

{\an8}and made for the chase.

{\an8}When she locks in, there's no escape.

Fallon, a jujitsu black belt,

does her best work down on the ground.
How will she do in the air?

Huntress, earlier this season,
in her word,

embarrassed against an opponent.

She gave up ten points.

[Thomas] Three, two, one!

[whistle blows]

[Chris] Fallon's opponent, Michelle Keith,
two points in this event.

Fallon makes a break for it, and has two.

She already has Huntress on the defensive,
going right, then left,

now making a break for it.

She takes a 4-2 lead.

Come on! Let's go!

[Chris] Oh, Fallon,
caught in a little jump too.

Goes left,
and Huntress continuing to struggle.

Uh-oh!

- I guess I spoke too early.
- [buzzer]

My bad, Huntress, my bad.

[Huntress hollering excitedly]

[Chris] As you can see, Huntress fired up,

thanks to some
serious improvement in the end.

Fallon running back and forth
off her platform before taking off,

and hey, it worked for a while,

but Huntress takes her clean off the edge.

Ouch!

{\an8}After The Edge, Michelle has 12 points,
Fallon, 16.

{\an8}That would equate
to a two-second head start

{\an8}for Fallon heading into The Eliminator.

One more event before we send
our brave contenders

into The Eliminator.

Are you pumped up, Gladiator Nation?

If you build it, they will come after you.

- [Rocsi chuckles]
- It's The Wall.

{\an8}[Rocsi] It's 60 seconds for our contenders
to climb for their lives

while a Gladiator rips up
the hand and footholds,

{\an8}with a six-second head start
before the Gladiators are unleashed.

{\an8}First contender to the top
gets ten points

{\an8}and five points for second place.

[crowd cheering]

{\an8}[The Miz] Ben and Bobby are ready
to hit The Wall.

Gearing up to chase down Bobby,
it's Steel!

{\an8}[rock music playing]

{\an8}Don't you dare.

{\an8}My house, Steel's house.

About to fly up the Wall,
after Ben, he's a bird in flight.

And you're in his sight, it's Eagle!

{\an8}[Rocsi] At 6'4", 250 pounds
of American muscle,

{\an8}the wingspan on this predator
makes him perfectly suited

to dominate in The Wall.

Bobby knows
he's a decided underdog in this event.

Ben is the grip strength king.

He's turned his sickness into strength.

I do believe that everyone
needs to experience adversity

to grow as a human.

When I was 15,
I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis.

I was hospitalized for an entire month,

literally on my deathbed.

I went into the hospital at 130 pounds.

I left 100 pounds of just skin and bone.

Getting out of the hospital
changed my life.

All this muscle you see,

I've been building this armor.

It was a lot of hard work getting here.

No way.

But everything I do now is
because of that 15-year-old Ben Galper.

[cheering]

[Chris] Ben told us he could climb up

using just one finger
on each hand and his feet.

I don't know how he's going to deal,
though, with Eagle chasing him.

And Bobby has to deal
with our Man of Steel.

All right, Thomas, let's get our wall on!

[crowd cheering]

Of course those Gladiators are ready.

Look at them salivating.

[Thomas] Three, two, one!

- [whistle blows]
- [Chris] The race is on!

Ben on the left, Bobby on the right,
and Ben off to a great start.

He's got a huge lead on Eagle.

- Bobby on the-- oh, he slips!
- [air horn blare]

[Chris] And right into the arms of Steel!
Ben gets up there in 12 seconds!

[roars]

{\an8}[Chris] Go smash that button!

{\an8}Pick up those ten points, Ben!

{\an8}You're headed off to The Eliminator.

[shouts excitedly]

[Chris] Bobby struggled mightily here
in the final event

before the Eliminator,
couldn't quite get his footing.

As he fell, Steel's right there
to comfort him onto the floor.

[The Miz] You're all aggression right now,
you're feeling it!

I'm fired up.

He wasn't even close to me.

And what would your 15-year-old self
think about your performance today?

Oh, man, he'd think I'm a superhero.

Yeah? You feel like a superhero right now?

Oh, yeah.

We got just The Eliminator left.

Ten points for this guy on The Wall.

Bobby, oh, my goodness!

That million-dollar smile didn't really

Unfortunately for me,
I got to swim with the sharks,

and he was right there behind me
the whole time.

I know that you have
a bucket list of goals,

and one of your bucket lists
was to be here.

Is this a surreal moment?

- Do we have to pinch you into reality?
- Oh, absolutely.

This is unbelievable.
At the end of the day,

he's not gonna be there
on The Eliminator Challenge,

it's Ben, and can he get up there
with his skinny legs? Let's go.

The Gladiators have been released.

In fact, I'm not so sure Michelle

with that huge wingspan

and dragged her down.

[Rocsi] Two contenders face
nine obstacles so brutal,

I don't blame them if they weep.

First, a series of hurdles,
then a hoist up the rope.

After that, a harrowing swing
across the monkey bars

and swing down the trapeze.

They scramble up a swinging cargo net
and travel down a zip line.

Next is a slim crossing of a balance beam

and a unrelenting sprint up
the Travelator into the semifinals.

[crowd cheering]

[Chris] Bobby Levine living out
a lifelong dream.

the Levine family reunion here.

for 15-year-old Ben Galper,

who, at one point,
was laying in a hospital bed

facing the possibility of death.

Since then, he has made it
as an athlete, stuntman,

and now ready to test his will
in The Eliminator.

that is far from insurmountable.

of the cargo net in impressive fashion.

you have to restart.

Which he does.

Maybe opening up the door
for Bobby Levine,

who finally gets to the top
of the cargo net.

which has taken out
plenty of men and women,

but it will not do so to Ben Galper.

one shot at the semifinals.

[Chris] Michelle Keith considers herself
the master of board games.

Well, this is like a real-life mousetrap.

Fallon Fratone, a black belt
in Brazilian jujitsu,

also took over her father's
exterminator company

{\an8}after he suffered a stroke
several years ago.

Contenders, ready!

[Chris] This competition between
the two has been tight all night long.

- [Thomas] Three, two, one!
- [whistle blows]

Fallon is off
with a two-second head start.

- [whistle blows]
- [Chris] And here goes Michelle Keith.

Fallon over the hurdles, onto the rope.

Michelle gets to the rope.

Ah, this is going to be tight.

Now, Fallon Fratone to the monkey bars.

If either competitor falls off
the monkey bars or the trapeze,

they suffer a 10-second penalty.

Fallon's across, over to the trapeze.

Michelle Keith working slowly

Fallon jumping onto that cargo net.

- Come on!
- [Chris] Winner advances to the semifinal.

Fallon, struggling to get her footing,

has opened the door for Michelle,

who has yet to cross
to the other podium and now does.

Michelle Keith grew up playing sports
with her brothers,

but now it's time to tap
into those physical skills.

She needs to get those legs pumping
and get up that cargo net.

Fallon over to the zip line.

Works her way down,

- but still two major obstacles ahead.
- [crowd roars]

[Chris] In the meantime, Michelle,
she is stuck on the cargo net.

Fallon falls off the balance beam.
Can't use your hands,

and if you fall off,
you have to go back to the start.

[crowd] Oh! Oh!

[Chris] Fallon crosses the balance beam.

Michelle Keith finally gets
to the top of the cargo net.

Fallon gives the Travelator a look.

That's a 35-degree angle, moving
at eight miles an hour in your face.

Oh, no.

Back down the Travelator.

Will that open the door
for Michelle Keith?

She's got to pick up the pace
as she heads over to the balance beam.

Fallon giving it another run.

Going, going up.

Oh, she falls off to the side.

And uses her elbow and her arm,

but that was on the side
of the Travelator.

They're going to have to look at that,
see whether it was legal or not.

And she is off to the semifinals,
at least for now.

- You did it!
- Oh, my God!

That treadmill doesn't play around.

- You conquered The Eliminator.
- Yes, sir.

You're moving on.

[Fallon, panting] It's just an amazing,
special moment to be here.

This has been one of the most
special things I've done in my life.

- I'm a fighter.
- [crowd] Go! Go! Go!

That's what I came here to do.

I'm so happy
my dad and my brother Bobby is here.

I love this girl Michelle so much.

Why don't you give her a hug?

[Chris] Fallon's run is under review
based on what happened

at the top of the Travelator.

The rules clearly state
you cannot use the sides

of the Travelator
to pull yourself up to the top.

Then Fallon Fratone could be disqualified,

which would mean that Michelle
would advance to the semifinals.

The refs, however,
will make the final call.

[The Miz] I'm getting news
from our referees right now.

Okay, what I'm hearing is...

[dramatic music playing]

Fallon, you used the side
of the Travelator...

- [crowd] Oh...
- ...to pull yourself up,

which means you are disqualified.

[crowd murmuring]
