is the new commission split.

We are growing.
With growth comes changes, so,

effective in 30 days, the commission
will change from a 95-5 to a 80-20.

We will have increased marketing.

We'll have more lead generations,

and we have better software
to help with the company.

I'm taking home less,
and the brokerage is taking more.

I get it, at the end of the day,
it's a company and it needs to run.

But for me it's a problem, particularly

when I feel I've been
excluded from the marketing photo.

Let's say Rena sold a $1,000,000 home.

Juawana, tell everybody
how that breaks down.

Absolutely.

On the former structure, 95-5,

if we had a million-dollar sale
and it was a 3% commission,

the agent would get $28,500.

With the new commission split,
the agent will get 24,000.

Anybody have questions,

I do. Why would you be changing
the commission split now?

Like I said before, we're growing
and we do have a lot--

We're getting new systems,
lead generation--

So we're paying 15% more
of our commissions to the brokerage.

I realized what depression was.

I went through depression too,
even in the military, PTSD.

It was a lot,
and I had a lot of anger built up.

I felt nobody could relate
to what I was going through.

My first time going to a therapist
I was like… I basically cussed her out.

"You don't know what the f*ck
I've been through!" I stopped going.

Then when my daughter told me,
"You changed,

you're not the same mother
that you were before."

-That hurts.

-And it makes you want to go get help.

So I went back and I got help,

and I feel like
that's what you should try.

Just give it a chance,
and you will see a better you.

You know, I'm sad about everything,
but my priority is the kids,

and there is no giving up.

I know I'm not producing
as much as you want.

And I know you know my numbers
and you know what I've done.

Well, I want you to know, Karla,

you're gonna

You know, I've been really thinking

I'm better friends with Sharelle,
Andrikk's good friends with Sharelle's ex.

And so I do think
our friendship has been affected.

It's hard not to take things
personal sometimes.

I guess that it's hard
because she's a friend,

you know, and at the end of the day,

I would like to remain friends.

But the market is fantastic right now,

and I do feel like I'm at a space where
I'm starting to get the referrals,

and I'm starting to really, kind of,
make my name in the market.

being a young business owner,
she may see some of that as a threat.

I have my broker's license,
but Sharelle doesn't know yet.

And the difference between
an agent and a broker

is a broker can open up their own office,

and that presents
a lot of opportunities for me.

just changed the commission on us

and didn't talk to us beforehand.
