so it's been keeping me busy.

in upstate New York.
I live down in Westchester,
but things have been really
crazy down in the city,
so my dog and I came up
to my aunt and uncle's property.

we've been living in.

It's a really dense jungle.
Everything and anything
you can imagine
that might eat you, cut you...
They are there.
Man, that was so dense.
So dense and so humid.
I remember, the first thing,
I was like, "oh, my god.
I'm so sweaty. I can't wait
to take my clothes off."

It is a dense jungle
where powerful big cats
stalk their prey...

...and over 300 species
of snakes
slither along the jungle floor.
I know what's coming up.
There's a nice --

and every time I see it,
I'm like "oh, god."
I'm definitely feeling almost
like something's watching me.
Narrator:
In these tropical woodlands,
the air is thick
with suffocating humidity
and legends of evil spirits
roaming the rain forest,
protecting the jungle
from unwanted visitors.

Cat: Driving up
into the mountains,
it's getting a lot steeper.
The terrain's a little bit
less forgiving.
It's really getting real.
Cat: I definitely consider
myself an adrenalin junkie,
and I'm super
into mountaineering.
I've climbed some serious
frickin' peaks,
including mount Kilimanjaro,
mount hood, and south sister.
Yeah, I do cross fit.
What about it?
My friends gave me so much
[Bleep] for saying that.
[ Laughs ]
All my friends were texting me.
They were like, "really, Cat?
Really?"
You got to support
your community.
Right, right.
Cat: Let's see if I can pull up
where I'm going on the map.

Pretty crazy.

I'm hoping that I'll be able
to use my skill-set
and take this thing head on.
Last year,
I was arrested for d.W.I.
There's the sweat stash.
It was very
out-of-character for me.
I lost my job, lost my way.
It definitely took a toll
on my confidence.
I was looking
for something like this,
a chance to find myself again,
and it came at the perfect time.
I'm coming here,
not to just prove to myself,
but to prove to my family
and friends
that I'm still Cat
and I will succeed.

Most people, when they see
roses, they stop and smell them.
Me? I got a mission
to accomplish.
I don't got time for roses.
Bulent: I was born in Turkey.
When I turned 20,
I emigrated to United States,
joined the United States army.
Now I'm a U.S. customs
and border-protection officer.
The world that I came from,
you either survived,
or you died.
Because my parents were poor,
we knew if we went home,
there was no food.
That's how the hunting
and gathering started.
I am no hippie. I can't go
to nature and hug trees.
We cut the trees,
we burn the trees,
we k*ll the deer,
we'll eat the deer
because survival is not a game.
All my life, I've chased death.
My mission is to come here
to cheat the death,
face the death, and conquer it.

What were you thinking
when you took off your
clothes the first time?
Me being naked, I really don't
care what people think.
That's what I was worried --
What I'm gonna step,
if something gonna bite me.
The first 10, 15 minutes
is a little weird.
You're like, "oh, my god,
i'm, like, totally exposed
to the elements," but then
survival mode kicks in
and you're just like,
"all right,
I'm gonna do this, and I don't
care if I have clothes or not."
Cat: I'm hoping that my partner
will see me as an equal
and not try to belittle me.
Bulent: I am definitely open
to make a lifelong friend,
but hope leads
to disappointment,
so I'm not holding my breath.
You know how many people call me
and give me crap for saying
that I'm open to make
a lifelong friend.

They still -- but why?
I don't know! Apparently,
it's not my personality.
I'm not that kind of a guy
that makes friends that easily.

where is the fruit trees,
coconut trees.
Yeah, and it looks like
there's gonna be
some food for us down here,
so I'd say making camp
somewhere around here.
Alright, we got a plan,
so let's get it going.

That was the beginning
of a very miserable
hike, though.
I wouldn't even call it a hike.
That was more of,
like, a landslide.
It's kind of like
diving headfirst.

An ant got me.
Oh, lord, they're everywhere.
You would think
there's no forest left.
[ Laughs ] Yeah.
They come in millions.
[ Laughs ]
And out of the freaking ants
in that place, the leaf cutters.
Out of all of the things
that we came across,
those, I think, hurt the most.
It's very hot out.
Oof, I am sweating.
I'm dripping.
Super, super humid.

You can see the water now.

that was such a godsend.
Bulent: Whoo!
Oh, that felt so good.
That was spectacular.
I think we're going to have
to get something built
before it starts to get dark.

If you remember, I didn't want
to build the shelter there.
I was like "I don't know
about this, man.
Like, there's a dead tree here,
like, that, you know,
freaking widow maker."
It's not like we had
so many choices.
One day that you spend
half of it hiking to get there,
and then the other half
is collecting material,
and then your selection
of location
becomes a
last-three-minute thing.
Make a choice out of
desperation than anything.
Yeah.
That one was
a challenge to carry.
I think that's one
of the moments
I overdid it a little bit,
put a lot of strain on my back.
I don't think I should have
handled that all by myself,
but, you know,
you live and learn.
I'm already feeling the funny
alkaline taste in my mouth.
Dehydration's coming.

Cat: I would use that, probably,
as, like, the middle frame.

Humidity will make you sweat
without cooling you off.

This is when you overheat.

Tonight, it's gonna be
long and hard.

going to be rough.
We're both feeling
really dehydrated.
It's getting late,
and we don't have time
to make something
to boil water in.
I've been starting fires
since before Jesus,
and I can start
a fire in 30 seconds.
That's a signal from god
that we're on the right path.

Day one, you're, like,
so pumped,
and you want to get everything.
You know, you want to get
your shelter built,
you want to get the fire built,
and it's hard
not to overexert yourself.
Humidity is just intense.
Today was way past
90 degrees today,
with at least 80% humidity.
Yeah, the adrenaline
is kicking in.
You don't feel much until
the night sets in,
and then, yeah.
[ Bulent groans ]

I'm having stomach cramps.

The stomach cramps,

And the throwing up, yeah.
It's tough.
What you're putting your body
through is super tough.

I didn't die overnight,
but that was painful.

Last night, bulent got very ill.
He started vomiting.
I was afraid that you had
eaten or drank something.
Like, I wasn't really sure,
like, what was going on.
I didn't eat or drink anything.
It could be the heat.
The humidity is super high.
[ Burps ]
Cat: He's probably
super dehydrated,
so the water should be our
number-one priority right now.
See if I can get some water,
but if we drink the river water
without purifying it,
we could get sick,
and I don't want to do that.

The dehydration is serious,
and the stomach cramps
are unreal.

Cat: I've got this
piece of bamboo.
We can carry water in it
and boil in it.
Nicely done.
Oh, that was such a godsend.

That came right from the river.

As long as there's no break --
Holes in between.
Yeah. We should be able
to fill this up with water.
I put some rocks under the coal.
Once we get that hole done,
I think they'll be hot enough
to drop it in the water.
It'll boil it, then we can
drink it right away.
That's what we want to see.

Hopefully that holds.

We are both dehydrated.
You're thinking, "okay,
I won't drink the water,

feeling like crap.

if I don't drink the water."
You drink the water
and you get worse.
Like, lose-lose in both ends,
so that bamboo was big.
That was huge.
Oh, it's so good.
Cat: Good.
It actually tastes like dirt,
but it tastes so good.
Dirt never tasted better.
That was awesome.
That felt like our first
victory, I think,
of the challenge, for sure.
Definitely.
The shelter alone was a victory,
and the fire on the first day,
but this was the first victory
that was gonna
allow us to continue.
Hopefully, this will
give me some relief.

Cat: Aah! Damn it.
Ow! Aah!
God, that was horrible, and
that was with the mosquito net.
Imagine not having them.
[Bleep] Ow!
Damn it!
At that point, we just had it,
like, wrapped around us,
and, like, they were
just getting right through,
but the bugs were bad.
I think after day one,
we were covered in bug bites.
It was, like, to
the point of no return.
Aah!
Ow! Ow! Ow!
Bitten by ants, mosquitoes,
ticks, like, fleas, flies.
Like, any kind of frickin'
thing with wings and legs,
they were getting us.

Not happy faces at all when
you don't sleep all night long.
No. We're looking rough.
Seriously, that was
a horrible night.
Ants everywhere,
biting me, nonstop.
We both got eaten by ants.
Our feet just look like
freaking sausages.
Bulent:
My feet are getting swollen.
My feet are getting bit.
Looks like we had
marshmallow feet.

The freaking ants bite
through the mosquito net.
I swear that night
was at least three days long.

How are you feeling?
I'm okay, just slow.
Yeah, slow.
We definitely need to eat.
That will make
a huge difference.
I'm gonna walk down the river.
I'm gonna go see
if I can find food
or just plants that can help
with skin irritation and bugs.
That's great.
I'll go up the river to see
if there's more resources.
[ Animals calling ]

Cat: Thorns everywhere.
God, my legs are just on fire.
Right now, I'm looking for
a specific fruit -- the jagua.
It helps with skin inflammation
and acts as an antiseptic.
And you can eat it,
but it doesn't taste good,
so, really, what I'm hoping
is that I'll find it
so we can treat both mine
and bulent's inflamed feet.
That's it.
And there's a lot of it.
This is gonna be hard
to get to it, though,
'cause it's a super tall tree.
I might have to just
look at the ground.
Oh, there it is.
Yes, this is exactly
what I freaking need.
Now I just need more of it.
No sign of any fruit tree yet.
How could you have
this much vegetation
and not one fruit tree?

Total disappointment right
there, total disappointment.
At that [bleep] point,
I'm thinking I'm either
dumb and blind,
or there is really nothing
to eat in this place.
[ Animal exhales ]
So, I'm like,
"what was that?"
And it's almost like fight --
You get into a fight-or-flight,
"am I gonna have to
run down this hill,
because it was hell to climb,
or am I gonna have to
fight this dude
that's probably
bigger than me?"
I'm like,
"mm, I don't know."
What the hell?
[ Hooting ]
Ow, ow, ow!
Ow! [Bleep]. Man.
Ow!
And I'm like,
"I can't step."
I'm trying to hold, and I
almost flew off that cliff.
Thank god I grabbed
hold of a vine,
and that's what saved me
from tumbling down,
I would say, at least
150, 200 feet, easy.

Cat: Any luck?
No.
My lower back,
it's k*lling me right now.
And the ants up there are
the size of c*ck.
I was eaten to hell.
Everywhere you could imagine,
I got bit.
Bulent: My feet are hurting
so much, super swollen,
like, super itchy.
Well, I think this will help.
It's supposed to help
with inflammation and stuff,
so we can cut it open and see,
and maybe it will help
the swelling on our feet.

I was going out into public

to be near you right now."
Being in lockdown
is very reminiscent
'cause now you're walking around
and people don't really want
to come close to you.
That's kind of how I felt when
I came home from the challenge.
People were like,
"uh, 6 feet, please."
Bulent:
My feet are a lot better.

I covered myself in it.
I think it helped
the swelling, too,
'cause my feet
aren't nearly as swollen.
It did help. Thank you.
God, that helped so much.
I think maybe like
an hour later,
I didn't feel as itchy,
and it definitely helped
the swelling, too.
It stopped the progression.
Yeah.
So it didn't get any worse.
That was a big plus
because if it continued,
it would have stopped us,
eventually.

Cat: Crap.

Really?
What were were worried about
was the river flooding.
We were both worried about it
flooding. We were going to --
We thought we were gonna
have to evacuate that night,
but something
even sketchier happened.

That was so insane.
I remember a frickin'
rush of adrenalin.
I was like, "holy [bleep]!"
It was like -- that was a
near-death experience.
Like, you know.
Totally.
A frickin' tree
almost crushed us.
A huge tree came down.
Bulent: Oh, lord!
It is 3 feet from us.
Wow!
This came right
through our shelter.

Yeah.
I remember waking up
and being...
I don't know.
I wasn't scared.
It was, like, really --
I don't know.
It was, like, empowering to know
that, like, we were so close
to a very near-death experience
and we survived it.
You try to get yourself
mentally set
for the things
you're gonna face --
The hunger, the thirst,
the animals, the mosquitoes.
A tree falling on top
of your shelter
definitely wasn't one of them.
That wasn't on the list
for me, either.
No.
Definitely not.

Cat: This is the tree
right here,
literally right on
top of our shelter.
That was the shelter,
that little hole?
Yeah, that we crawled out of.
Yep.
That land on one of us,
it would have done
quite a bit of damage.
Everything's destroyed.
People were like,
"was that real?"
I was like, "no. We all --"
yeah, it was!
"No, somebody threw
a twig in there." Mm-hmm.
Mother nature
don't want us here.
It really was so close.

Cat: Everywhere you look,
there's dead trees.
So we're going to move
to higher ground,
down the river 100 feet up.
We need to assess and make sure
that this is even
a safe place to stay.
I think this is a better spot.
This tree is alive.
It doesn't seem
to be going anywhere.

I always try to be a step ahead
of anything
that's going to come,
but this is one of those things
you just can't prepare for.
The only thing you can do
is be thankful
that you're still alive.
That's how
I'm feeling right now,
being locked down,
too, you know.
Like, take it day by day,
and that's how it was
with the challenge, too.

You prepare to an extent,
but you really can't know
what's going to happen.
Like, there's some things you
just don't have control over.
Definitely.
I don't think I have gone
this long without food, ever,
and now my lower back literally
in pain, eight out of 10.
Cat: Got to find
something today.
We'll be able
to figure something out,
especially if there's two of us.
I don't know how much
we'll find on the ground,
but as long as
we find the tree...
Yesterday, when I was kind of
on my trek for food,
I saw some mango trees
further up the mountain.
Are you ready to go, man?
Bulent: Yeah. That climb
gonna be brutal.
Think about the end goal,
what we get at the top.

Going up the mountain
seems like an easy task,
but when you add the other
factors of not eating anything,
your muscles
don't have enough sugar
to complete the task
that the brain is asking for,
it becomes super challenging.
You can't defend yourself.
That's a bad, bad
position to be.
Every step is agony.
So awesome seeing that.
Got some mangoes on there?
Oh, yeah.
I just remember I was like,
"oh, my god, yes."
But I didn't know how we
were gonna get to them,
especially 'cause they
weren't ripe at the time.
Oh.
My back.
Cat: Bulent is so much in pain.
He's trying his best
to help us succeed as a team.
Cat: Nice!
The tree was on a slope,
so every time one of them fell,
it just rolled down the hill.
Oh. [Bleep]. My back.
Then we couldn't even find
most of the ones
that we actually managed
to get off the tree.
Oh, baby, that's a good one.
Or if there were ones
that were on the ground already,
they were usually
eaten by animals.
Damn monkeys!

That's the worst -- you hear
something you can't identify,
and you have no game plan.
Do you hear that?
Yeah.
You're supposed to
fight or flight,
and neither one of us were in
the condition to fly anywhere.
No way.
So you have to fight.
Bulent: We got to
get out of here now.
That's not a good
feeling at all.
[ Growls ]

[ Exhales deeply ]
This is life-changing
right here.
I think we got enough stuff
for at least five, six days.

"This is the best thing I've
ever tasted in my entire life!"
So good.

It's definitely one of the

My back is hurting.
Climbing was definitely
a success, but I am beat.
It has taken a super toll
on my body.
It was really hard
to watch you in so much pain.
Oh.
Lower back is really bad.
I knew there was nothing
that I could really do,
and each day, you were
getting worse and worse.
I was just seeing
your body deteriorate,
and I think your spirit, too.

[ Bulent groans ]
Lower-back pain,
it's sh**ting down my legs.
It's getting unbearable.
Gonna be a miserable night.
♪
Oh.
Every step is a knife
that goes from my lower back
all the way to my toes.
Right now, it's just
getting by...
Trying to survive so not to die.
At that point, I'm literally
at the peak of the pain.
[ Groans ]
I mean, you're trying
to weigh everything --
Stay and take a chance of an
injury, a permanent injury.
Go home and leave you alone
with the challenge
and not complete it.
He's looking pretty bad
and complaining about tightness
and just a lot of pain
it's day 11 right now.
So I don't know if he's
gonna be able to last
the rest of the challenge.
Unreal -- that's something that
I personally never faced before,
so it was a lot to handle.

start to prepare myself
mentally...

Concerned for bulent's safety,

bulent's back is being caused
by a pinched nerve,
rendering him helpless
and extremely vulnerable
in a dangerous,
demanding environment.
Continuing on
his survival challenge
could jeopardize his
and his partner's safety.

It just shoots down the legs.
I can't do this.
Not with this much pain,
I don't want to be here.
There is a pain threshold
that I can handle,
and I think I hit that already.
The best thing is to go home,
take care of the lower back,
and then come back for
another challenge if I can.
I can't move.
I need to go home
before it gets out of hand.

It's not your fault.
When I first came out
on the challenge,
one of the questions that
someone asked me was, you know,
"what are you gonna do
if your partner taps out?"
And I was like, "whoa."
I was like, "I don't know
how I feel about that."

I'm sorry, dude.
I'm sorry you're hurting so bad.
I wish you weren't.
Oh, thank you.
There was definitely that panic,
but at the same time,
I have to admit that there was
also kind of that relief
because I was worrying
about you and your well-being,
and so once I knew
that you were safe,
that you were going to make
the choice to leave,
I could actually, I don't know,
kind of like breathe
a little and relax,
just knowing that it was just me
in the jungle and I didn't have
anything else to worry about.
Bulent: Thank you.
I went to w*r,
I defended this country
in any kind of law enforcement
you can imagine...
[ Groans ]
And this is by far the most
difficult thing
I've done in my life.

I'm sad to see him go.

this is a big game-changer.
Now it's just me. It's just
one woman in the jungle.
I've got 10 days left.
I'm toughing it out.
Gonna tough it out.
That's what I'm gonna do.

Night one of me in
the shelter by myself.
This is about the time when
the jungle starts to come alive.
[ Insects chirping ]
You hear the crickets,
the frogs, the birds.
Just me in the jungle here.
You know, if a large Cat
wanders into my camp,
I'll be here alone.

Hunger is definitely an issue,
so I'm really
focusing on food today.
I need to find
another food source.
There's shrimp
in the rivers here.
They like to kind of hang out
in the dry leaves,
so I might see
if I can find any in here.
♪
Oh, there's big ones!
Oh, my god, I was so frustrated.
Fast.
I could only imagine.
[ Laughs ] For like two hours,
I tried to catch shrimp,
and they were so, so, so small.
Oh!
God, they're fast.
So, like, you get your
sights on something,
like, you can't give up.
I was like,
"I'm not leaving here
until I get a frickin' meal."
You get enough of them,
at least you have something.
I mean, even if it's little,
a little meal, it's a meal.

Stay in there.

I have my shrimp,
and I have some mango,
so I'll make myself
a nice little meal.
So, the shrimp are teeny tiny,
but they'll do.
Hey, that's a lot!
Yeah.
Looks amazing, definitely.
[ Laughs ] It was pretty good,
I'm not gonna lie.
And we had lime, too, so I
squeezed some lime in there.
Gourmet.
Even though it's small,
it's something.
It's an awesome success.
I think that was great.
Yeah, you know, I had to
treat myself for a meal,
make it fancy.
Mm-hmm.
Jungle ceviche.

It'd be great
to get some more protein,
so I'll see if I can
work on a fish trap.
I'm trying to use the current
to kind of draw the fish in,
and I'm just kind of
trying to corral them.
Fish gets in there,
I'll probably block off
the entrance, and hopefully,
I can just grab it.
Hopefully, the river will
provide me with some good luck.

[ Thunder rumbles ]
That was the hardest day.
I remember day 17.
It was like you're close
enough to the end,
where you're like,
"I can do this,"
but you're still also far, like,
'cause the days just start
to feel so long.
The shelter was wet.
I'm throwing leaves in there
every night to keep warm
'cause without -- you know,
we built that shelter
for two people,
so not having
another body in there,
like, it started
to get cold at night.
I'm just lonely.

That day,
the loneliness and isolation
was really getting to me,
and, you know,
I think about that constantly
being on lockdown up here.
I'm pretty frustrated right now.
Fish trap --
It's just not doing anything.
It's not catching anything.
It's really hard to be alone.
[ Exhales deeply ]
There's no one word
that can describe
what I'm feeling right now.
When you don't have
any outlet, you know,
you can't listen to music there,
you can't read, you can't write,
you kind of, like,
reevaluate who you are.
Everything that's
deep down inside
that you don't
normally feel will surface,
and you start to question
who you are and everything else,
so I can understand
it's definitely difficult.
You can't hide
from your emotions
when you're in the jungle.
It's just you and your feelings,
and that's the hardest part,
is the mental challenge.
It's totally an
eye-opener, definitely.
But the reason why
I came out here,
it was really for
the emotional transformation.
And last year,
I lost my job, lost my way,
and it kind of threw me
off my path.
I definitely saw myself withdraw
from my friends and family,
and it was really rough on me.
I've been through a lot,
and 21 days in the wilderness
is really hard,
but it's so important
for me to push through
and still come out of it.

What was that?
I had no idea what that was.
[ Rustling ]

What [bleep]?

There are currently flies
flying up my crotch.
And there's ants
in my a*s crack.
It's really not fun.
I am making clothing
to protect me from the bugs,
but every time
I squat to do anything,
flies, gnats, you name it,
are crawling up my hoo-ha.
So I'm made underwear.
It's more like a thong.
It's not the most comfortable.
The problem with this
is any sudden movements
and it's gonna
break right apart.
[ Laughs ] That did not work.
You got "a" for the effort.
But it's definitely
more comfortable
than bugs in your crotch.
It should be "naked and itchy,"
not "naked and afraid."
[ Laughs ] I love it!

in the home stretch.

This freaking jungle.
I had a couple of nights where I
either woke up from a bad dream
or I heard something
that really scared me,
and that was one of those nights
where I didn't know
what was going on outside,
and the best way
to protect yourself,
sometimes, is to just
to make some noise
and let the creatures know
that you're there.
What most people don't realize
is that when you're
at home sleeping,
you have four walls
that's protecting you.
Out there,
humans can't see at night.
We can't outrun anything
other than a turtle.
Especially not in that area.
We can't jump, and in that place
you cannot climb a tree,
so if anything want to come
and get you, literally, there's
nothing you can do at night.
Yeah, you're totally exposed.

Last day! That's it!
Cat: Really, really,
really tough night.
Something big came through that
scared the [bleep] out of me,
but I'm alive.
And I'm just ready to go home.
♪
Day 21 -- it's my last day here,
so I want to do a tribute,
not just to the river,
but to all of the plants
and animals here.
So thank you to whatever spirits
are out there,
whoever's watching me,
whoever's listening.
Please look after me,
help me through my journey,
and I will forever be thankful.

That moment of the challenge
was really important for me,
and it was also really
emotional because I felt like
I had formed this really
strong bond with my surroundings
and the river, especially.
You know, everything in that
area was powered by that river,
and so, you know,
doing that tribute,
like, was really
meaningful to me,
and I thought it would,
you know, protect me
in my journey out
[ Speaks indistinctly ].
I'm definitely thinking about
the treacherous terrain ahead.
It's slippery, wet.
I'm rundown, and I'm tired,
and I don't have a partner
if I fall or if I lose grip.
Oh, let's see.
Narrator:
Cat faces a grueling journey,
a mile downstream through
the slippery, rocky river bed,
battling strong currents
and venomous water snakes
that can swim up to
10 miles per hour.
She will then need
to hike a perilous 1 1/4 mile
up a steep slope,
avoiding deadly jaguars
as she searches
for her extraction point.
This was actually --
This was my favorite day.
I loved extraction.
I thought it was awesome.
It looks tough, though.
It was tough, but it was fun
'cause it was, like --
It was the first time
that I really got to
get out and explore.
So it was cool.

Cat: I haven't been up
this side of the river yet,
so I'm not really sure
what to expect.
I'm definitely
gonna have to swim here.
Looks like a good home
for snakes.
I'm really gonna have
to be careful about this
and watch where I'm swimming.
♪
[ Exhales sharply ]
[ Breathing heavily ]
Ow! [Bleep].
[ Snake hisses ]
Uh...
That looks tough,
going against that current.
That looks really tough,
especially after 21 days.
I was a little worried.
Like, the rocks were wet.
God forbid I slipped or fell,
you know, and I was really,
really thankful that,
one, I'm a strong swimmer,
so I didn't really have
to worry about that,
and then, two, I actually felt
pretty natural on the rock.
So my hiking
and climbing experience
actually really helped me
with this a lot.
[ Snake hisses ]

I just came up on
the waterfall up ahead,
a check mark of where
I have to turn in.
I'm gonna have to maybe just hop
right in here, cross over,
and then I'll start
heading up the mountain.

I'm definitely a risk-taker
in my daily life,
but in a situation like this
where I haven't been sleeping,
you have to be careful.
♪
Nothing, really,
to catch me if I fall.
[ Grunts ]
Aah!

I think it was -- again, I think
it was more a mental strength.
I was just thinking about
getting out and getting food.
[ Laughs ]

Right now, I've got a whole lot
of ground to go,
but I'm definitely hungry,
I'm definitely tired,
I'm definitely thirsty, but i'm
not letting it get to me.

This is pretty surreal
right now.

The feeling of relief
and just, like, empowerment
when I climbed
in that freaking truck,
I was like, "hell yes,
I freaking did it."
I mean, when you start out,
like, you don't
even picture the end,
you're just taking it
day by day,
but finally completing it,
oh, my god,
I was living off that high
for weeks after.
I could only imagine.
Whenever I do face a challenge,
I'll be able to come back
to this moment
and remember how strong
I was when I faced adversity.

I looked in the mirror
for the first time, and whew!

This is the best

It almost puts a smile
on my face
because I know deep down inside
how much it meant to you
and how much struggles

to get to that point,

and all other emotional levels
the amount of the growth

It's a very unique
experience, for sure,
and it really puts things
into perspective,
and it, like, totally changes
your outlook on life
and what's really important.
I really am glad that we got to,
you know, watch this together
and kind of reminisce.
Me, too.
It's so much more different
being there versus watching.
Having a watch party
actually gets you a lot
closer to one another
because you actually see that
both of us have the same goal.

the goal and come out.
