from the suburbs.

I'm an executive chef
doing 17 hours a day.
I absolutely love
the chaos.

I will eat anything.
But I do enjoy making it look
like it's gonna taste good.
I've been a survivalist

My family were big campers.
We were always into bushcraft.

And it's hollow,

Gonna steam them.

Face a grueling hike
a mile up the hill,
Climbing over 500 feet
in elevation,
Battling the risk
of heat exhaustion,
Which is already slowly
taking jess down.

The higher you get,
it's harder to breathe
And we're going
basically straight up.

I feel like
I'm gonna get sick.

Dehydration can cause
a rapid rise in heart rate
And a severe drop
in blood pressure,
Sometimes leading to shock.

As torturous as it was,
every day, you wake up,
And you feel like you
accomplished something.
It's a good feeling.
I definitely realized
I can take a lot more
than I thought I could.
And I think
I could use this energy
To really do something good
with myself.
I'm a new man.
One of the best days
of my life.

of 26 pounds
And leaves the jungle behind

it feels so good to be done,
And not giving up
is a huge, huge thing,
And I'm very proud
for getting through it.
