04x13 - Special: Bares All: On The Edge

Post by bunniefuu »

Oh my God. Did you hear the
monkeys? They want us out of their place?

That's the closest
I've heard em,

they're keeping an eye on us.

A rabid monkey would attack me
and there's nothing I can do about

it so much easier. If we
could hunt the monkeys,

what would you do
with it if you got it, eat it

naked and afraid has
sent survivalists to some

of the harshest
locations on the planet.

These men and women experienced the most
intense survival challenge ever created.

They did it with no food,

no water,

no clothes. This
never gets any easier

and no mercy.

Now,

four pairs of survivalists and two fans
who took on a special 14 day challenge

go deeper and reveal more as they
look back on the experience of a lifetime

with exclusive unseen footage, new
interviews. It's all the punishing lows.

They miss everyone alive

and thrilling highs

as the survivalists reveal
the unique perspective on

the Everest of survival
challenges as naked and afraid

bears. All

when the survivalists arrive,

their first interaction
is with a crew that is

ready to insert them into a
harsh unforgiving environment.

Where are we off to what are we gonna
do right now? We are going to go and sit

two cast members in

Soma Jungle.

They actually have

my first impression of Guyana was, it
was Peru all over again. We saw Cayman.

I knew that there was
gonna be lots of stingray

and I can't stand stingrays.

Our location was Kyle
Bonato in the Yucatan.

My first impressions of
the island is we're coming in.

I mean, there was like a line in the
horizon. You could see the beautiful island.

At the same time, you could see this
nasty storm burning over the top of us.

It was the perfect split of good
and evil. If you look at the horizon,

hey, we got rain coming.

So I just got done saying
goodbye to my family and

it was really hard

what he gets doing.

I'm going on a bike ride.

Two weeks is the longest
I've ever been away from them.

I'm gonna miss them.

Yeah.

When I first arrived on

Koyuk Island in Thailand for this
challenge, I just thought it was amazing.

Like the scenery, the cliffs
coming down to the ocean.

I've never been
around an ocean before.

I've never really been a water
person, so I'm super stoked.

It wasn't my first
time seeing the ocean,

but it was like my first time going out
on a boat into the ocean for the most part.

I just thought it was amazing.

I didn't think there was
really anything to worry about

suddenly being thrust into
these exotic locations can be

both exhilarating and nerve
wracking for the survivalists.

When I first got to Guyana,

I felt a little bit like Alice in
Wonderland just because

of all the giant creatures
that you hear about that.

Cayman,

the jaguar,

the big cat

heard something loud. It
sounded like a giant otter.

I rode into the jungle in Nicaragua
on the bed of a pickup truck

on top of a mound of pineapples.

Yeah. It's still hard to wrap
my head around all this.

I mean, I'm still in the city,

you know, going in there. I
was just wearing gym shorts.

The pineapples as
you know, are all prickly.

So they're poking me in all the
parts, they're really, really ripe.

So I'm getting covered
in pineapple juice.

The flies are starting to come
around. So I'm thinking great.

I'm just gonna walk into the
rain forest. Smell like a fruit salad.

This is gonna go
over really well,

you know, nothing about this is
crazy or really primitive yet, but,

you know, in

an hour or a couple of minutes
or something, it's just gonna be

stark contrast you
could possibly have.

Right.

Well,

at least I can't get
arrested for being naked

just as they attempt to acclimate
to their strange surroundings.

The survivalists have to get through
what is always an intimidating experience

getting naked for
all the world to see

in the special fan episode.

Paolo and Kristin's first encounter
was more than a little awkward.

Sorry mom and dad.

Kristin and Paulo were voted onto
a special fan episode by America

and they were the only survivalists
who saw their partner before insertion.

So my first meeting with
Palo was really weird.

I was really, really nervous
mainly because I was naked,

naked over there.

It's not very often that
you come up and over a hill

and there is a naked
woman standing next to a tree,

not awkward at all.

All I could really do was
raise my hand and say hello.

I'm gonna be honest,

I'm pretty sure Paolo and I both
chose each other as our last choices.

I didn't want to work with him
from watching his little video.

Follow me on Twitter at naked.

Not

afraid.

Palo seemed kind of c*ck with his video
just all about vote for me on Twitter.

Go to Twitter like he
seemed like he was a big

deal and I didn't really want
to deal with someone who

had a lot of ego.

Not awkward at all.

This is different.

Yeah.

A K is the first
survivalist in naked into

free history to come
back to redeem herself.

I'm Jason

A

K

I recognize you before.

The thing that was awkward for me
and meeting Jason for the first time

was him recognizing who I was and
knowing that I didn't make it last time

and him having expectations
of me going out there to fail.

You're not worried
though. Your partner

meeting A K for the first time.

I was a little bit concerned
knowing that I'd be

starting out a challenge with
someone that had previously quit.

Hopefully, we can keep
the bugs off here for JJ.

Make it through this.
I'm never gonna live it,

but she was more than
willing to get out there and

try out her redemption and
see if she can make it through

you ready.

All right.

Do

it

after stripping down
and meeting their partner.

The next challenge the survivalist
must face is finding a place to build their

shelter before it gets dark
and it's a lot harder than it looks.

Ideally. It would be sweet if
we could find an embankment.

So we try to get a
peek down lower.

Let's go.

The first day we ended up walking
forever and trying to scout out a location.

All right, this is
gonna be a slick b*tch.

Just sit on your butt and slide.

Just

I

promise I will not look

when we were going up the hill.

I saw more of Jason than I
would have ever have liked to see,

but not my favorite view.

I don't think it's anyone's

very first day out there.

We kind of just made our trek through
the jungle, did a lot of wandering.

You know what at this point? I say, let's go
back down there and go sleep on the rocks.

Actually. That
doesn't sound bad.

After all the hiking
throughout the day,

we ended up actually just
sleeping on top of a rock

hoping it's a good idea.

So, kind of a shot in the dark

already.

Hello.

There's our jaguar.

Is the jaguar

where A K and Jason failed to
beat the sun and make a shelter.

Debbie and Beau had
a very different dilemma.

Debbie's less than
ideal sense of direction.

Listen, I'll continue doing
the shingles to the roof

if you want to start gathering
stuff on the floor. And

the first night when we
started to construct our shelter,

I was going off to get some palm fronts up
in the, you know, deeper part of the jungle.

Let's see if I can find my way
and it was at a time where we hadn't

really laid out our trails yet and I
wasn't able to find my exact way back.

I kind of knew the area and that I was
very close by. Where's that freaking tree?

Yeah, I

found it

or one that looks just like it.

Can somebody help me get
back to like the regular trio?

So we got slices here.

I probably wouldn't be
able to find my way back.

I was a little bit disorientated
with my location in the jungle.

Thankfully, be
decided that, you know,

he should go to try to locate
me and I was definitely thankful

for that.

Yeah, she's been gone a little bit I
kind of expected her back, you know,

pretty quickly, but
she may have been

detained doing something or
if she found something great or

so, go find out

as thick as the jungle is. It's
really easy to get turned around

and Debbie was gone a little
longer than I was comfortable with.

I expected her to be gone, you
know, maybe 20 minutes or so.

She was gone significantly
longer than that to the point

where I was starting
to get a little worried.

So I went out to look for her.

Where are you at?

Uh

Can you hear me over here?

Like you kind of the
sound of my voice?

Yep.

Ok. I can see you now.
Yeah, I can see you too.

Are you all right?

Yeah. Thank you for

coming to my rescue.

I was a little nervous, you know,
that was my wake up call that

this is real

coming up making and afraid continues
to bear oil. This one's for Steve Irwin.

He's staring right at us. Are
you eyeing me? We ain't no meal.

I just spooked myself.

Oh,

my God.

Staying hydrated is often the
number one priority for the survivalists.

So locating a water source and
having the ability to purify it is vital.

I'm really, really thirsty.

We actually lucked out and found
water drinkable water day one,

but the location of our water source
was not right next to our campsite.

So every day we would have to
take us to hide down the beach.

And every time we want water,

we got a hike probably
a good 200 yards

to get the one with the least
amount of garbage and debris in it.

The water was in the middle of a
swamp right in the middle of the island and

it was disgusting
because you have all this

rotten vegetation at
the bottom of the water.

It's

packed full of methane. You
can smell it. You can taste it.

The process of getting our drinking
water was problematic every single day.

The water was like yellow. It
pretty much looked like heat.

You pretty much just closed
your eyes and tried to drink it

was it refreshing.

It tasted nasty.
It was disgusting.

Brandon would only take like maybe a cup
of water out of that whole pot and I was

trying to think of what I can do to get
this water taste a little better for him.

I found a little tiny little Broli that we
can just put it in the water and boil it.

Have some tea.

I remembered some of the

mayan teas that they would make. I don't
know if this is how the Mayans did it. But

B O T I threw everything in there
flowers. I would throw leaves in there.

I went and got roots. The
mango roots turned the water red.

Wow. It's like blood red. I
know that's why I was like,

what I drank it

and it tastes the same.

But

Robin made me some
Mayan tea, which was actually,

you know, it was actually worse than
what the water originally tasted like.

I

don't know what the
Mayans are thinking.

That's probably why they're
not a powerhouse anymore.

The problem was Mayan Tee, a natural laxative.
I just like hurried up and be lined it

and I had to leave.

I just pooped myself. Oh

my

God.

So nasty

sometimes

happens. It just does

in

Kook Thailand for Angela
and Darren finding water

was just step one
in their process.

And we found running fresh water
on our first walk through the jungle.

We found this little stream.
I doubt it's safe to drink, but

we'll get a fire going and we'll sanitize
this and we got good running fresh water.

So that's pretty good.

We knew we couldn't
drink the water right away.

We had to boil it cause I wasn't gonna
risk just drinking straight jungle water.

I came to the beach
to find a coconut

to boil water in and I
found one so now I can

take this back up and
hopefully he has the fire started.

I'm gonna go get some
water before it gets dark and

then we're gonna boil
it and be able to drink it.

We had a half a coconut shell that
had washed up on the beach and it

held a good amount of water and it
was just there and ideal to boil water in

you.

Thank you.

The coconuts weren't big
enough to have so much water.

So to save time from walking back and forth
to the stream, we decided to use bamboo,

we made bamboo cylinder so we can put the
water in there. We're gonna boil it in those.

So

that will allow us to have
more water and less trips,

which is great because the walk to
the watering hole is brutal on my feet.

So at first,

I tried to make a little
stand to just lean the

bamboo tubes up close
to the fire and boil it.

But I very quickly realized
that the risk of spilling

the water on the fire
and putting a fire out

was just more of a risk
than I wanted to take.

So we moved our bamboo tubes back away from
the fire and just decided to use hot rock.

Strictly

air is a boil.

That's like municipal
Water Authority of Water.

What we take for granted
in our everyday lives.

The simple act of getting
around becomes a real

challenge for the survivalists
in their difficult locations.

Gathering resources. Barefoot can
be a painful and slow going process.

So a survivalist's ability to
improvise can come in handy.

I'm just walking really quickly

gathering resources while
barefoot was incredibly painful.

Like the first two or
three days of your feet just

getting rubbed raw from all the
rocks and the thorns and stuff like that.

It really hurt in
order for us to be a

little more comfortable walking
around on the forest floor.

I got a log about this
big round and I split it

in half twice and then I
made myself a pair of sandals.

They actually worked
really well. I mean, I could,

I could run around as always wearing a
pair of sneakers. It was great. Oh, my God.

I can just walk and not even think about
it. I did not make shoes. I just walked it.

You know, I should have
totally gotten a piggyback ride.

I think that should
have happened. Yes.

On my way to the waterfall,
someone should have carried me.

Necessity was the mother
of invention when Angela

used her ingenuity to
get around the jungle

I

have

in my foot. So I

want to look at it

when you're out trying to work around
and gather resources when you're barefoot.

I mean, you just got to
watch every single step and

it was very un ideal to go barefoot. And my
partner the first day, her feet were cut up.

She was definitely struggling
to walk around that jungle,

barefoot to go gather stuff.

So

we took two flat
pieces of drift to it and

we'd put one in front and
we'd walk out onto it and then

we'd pick up the one from
behind and put it in front,

Angelo and made a little
bridge out of bamboo pieces

between our shelter cave
going right down onto the beach.

Ok. I think that should make
walking through there a little bit easier.

When you open up your mobility,

you open up more resources that
you wouldn't be able to get too barefoot.

Once they figure out the
best way to get around

the survivalists face what
could be their biggest concern.

The process of finding food,

whether it be hunting or foraging
can be quite challenging for fans.

Paulo and Kristin. They quickly
realized beggars can't be choosers.

I think I might have
gotten a light snack.

Got a bunch of termites.

Did you just like lick it off

when in Rome? Right?

When you take that bite
and you taste something kind

of earthy and you know
that you're eating buck,

then it's

a little off putting.

I

just lied. A piece of wood.

Oh,

you found a crab?

This crab's a little bit different
than the other ones we've caught.

It's a female where they clutch her babies
and I returned half back to the river.

But a lot of them lived like
they just started playing and for

on their own.

I don't know if I'm
gonna eat the babies,

but I'll eat the mama.

It definitely made me emotional
because I'm a mama bear

and I missed my kids and
anything that would remind

me of home and family
I tried to avoid because

then I just start crying
and be a hot mess.

It's like a,

a different form of fishing as opposed
to casting a line out and reeling and

playing your odds. That way

you kind of just sit and stock

and then you just
see that little circular.

Oh,

I

just stepped on one. It definitely moved
under my foot. I'm glad I didn't get stung.

In Guyana.

Jason and A K had the resources and
skills to land themselves a £50 stingray.

You have to go out there
and get it. I mean, nothing's

nothing's just gonna
happen for you.

You have to make things happen
for yourself when you're out there.

Eventually, I did get a stingray. So
I think it was around a 50 pounder.

This one's for Steve Irwin

coming up

jaguar hunters.

So this is my crib.

Uh It

comes with a fireplace, a
fully functioned garage door,

that monkey.

One of the first things that the
naked and afraid survivalists learn

is that staying fresh and clean
in the jungle can be difficult.

They can neither run nor hide
from the sensitive issue of hygiene. I

think we're keeping up
with our hygiene pretty well.

I don't think I
smell that bad yet.

Jungle.

I would describe as

branded.

I just stopped like
really bathing altogether.

It worked for me, you know,
like having that layer of dirt and,

and whatnot. I didn't get a bug bite really
for the rest of the time we were there.

I starting to think
my one survival item

should have been a stick deodorant
every time I put my stick up, I'm like,

Darren had some social issues. So he was
always burping and farting and just being,

you know, kind of
gross. Really? So, I think

that's just his nature
and doesn't really have

the social etiquette
rules that most people do.

Every day.

I would wake up and I would
go out into the river and I would

wash and I would use the sandy rocks
and scrub my body river body scrub.

I'll just pick up some
sand and scrub.

It does nothing for

hair.

Can you see all that?

It doesn't matter how
much you scrubbed.

I was still covered in dirt,

but I made an effort
to make sure that I

was cleaned and washed
just to keep my morale up.

Hold on.

I did talk about some
jungle beauty tips which

I think are really helpful.

When you're k*lling things,

you need to have your
hair out of your face do this

for about

total of 10 minutes twice a day

up next.

I'll show you how
to take care of these

curly whites while you're
out here in the jungle.

If you take some
charcoal from your fire

and then you just
mix a little bit of water

all over. Kind of helps keep
in that routine of back home.

I

mean, you can still
stay clean out here

to some degree.

I'm actually pulling creatures out of
my hair. Despite the breathtaking beauty,

many of the locations the survivalists
are dropped into are anything but paradise.

Insects are everywhere. These
small but mighty creatures can humble.

Even the toughest survivalists for
Darren and Angela. The island of Com

was filled with many tiny challenges.
Everything bites. Everything stings.

Definitely mosquito
zone up in here.

You take two steps out of the jungle
and there's 100 mosquitoes on you.

I had a leech trying to
get on me today. Like

there's ants everywhere
and they're biting. You

don't grab the trees. It

looks like paradise, but

not once you're beaten
into it naked and barefoot,

my low hanging fruit was
destroyed by mosquitoes last night.

You know, you don't have time to
argue and fight out here. You got,

you just got to go.
You just got to do it.

That one got me. Right.

Oh my God. That,

yep.

It's horrible. Robin was
asking me what's wrong.

I was like,

you would not believe what
my stuff looks like right now.

Well, you know,

I didn't wake up with
morning wood this morning

because they took all
the blood away from me.

So

I guess they saved me from
an embarrassing moment.

Probably the number one thing
that I won't miss here is the bugs.

Like there has been no time in the past 21
days. Speaking right now while I'm missing

that there has not been a bug
crawling on me or biting me.

You can see,
like last night I got

pretty eaten up. So, Debbie
was on the menu for these

little creatures that were
eating us alive last night.

Keep your finger in there

in there

right there.

Sam. Look,

Sam.

The very first night we had a tarantula
that was sticking out of a knot in a tree.

It was basically
the size of a hand.

It wasn't that fun of a night. Let's
just say that we didn't get much sleep.

So,

did you see or feel something?
Somebody just jumped.

Yeah. Three rats crawled on me last night.
One of them took a little nibble on my toe.

One of the first things that
the naked and afraid survivalists

learn is that they are just visitors
in these extreme environments.

They are uninvited guests
among a menagerie of animals.

Some great and some small, some
friendly and some very dangerous

in Cayo

Bonauto. Robin and Brandon's
encounters with indigenous wildlife.

Like many other survivalists
went from one extreme to the other.

He's staring right at
us. Are you eyeing me?

We ain't no meal

with vultures overhead.

Robin and Brendan had a much more
welcome animal friend in their camp.

Steve.

As for the jungle friends we actually
named them after, after the producers,

there was one, there
was a lizard named Steve.

You know, a little bitty guy.

He'd show up every now and then
and say hello. How are you? And Lee

Robin brought up the fact that
we probably should try to eat him.

And my thought was, you know,
he's not really bothering anybody.

He's also really small. He's

too cute and
friendly. We'll let him

like the producer, Steve.

Some survivalists enjoyed
pleasant experiences

observing monkeys
around their shelter.

Like Kristin in Nicaragua.

Oh, look at them hunky.

See it.

Here they

are.

Here's the mommy and the baby.

The baby's so cute

in Guyana A K and
Jason's experience with

the local simian population
was much different.

They dealt with more
aggressive, less cute monkeys.

That

monkey,

they probably aren't happy
that we're in their hood.

There would be monkeys up in the
tree that I don't think liked our presence.

They'd be throwing poop and
pretty sure trying to pee on us.

I'll be throwing,

I am not throwing the

monkey

in Sara Lake Debbie and be,

certainly had their experiences with
animals in the wild while they slept.

They became a
playground for frogs.

Oh,

I don't even know how many
little frogs we're living in our shelter.

The next night we had 10 frogs
and then 20 frogs and then like 100

frogs and they were so small that
they weren't even big enough to eat.

Really?

That,

yeah.

Coming up, quit touching me.

Don't you have something on your
body and you're trying to contaminate me?

That's,

it's almost as though
I'm being able to see into,

you know, another
aspect of the world

they

knew they would be good.

They missed everyone a lot.

Like Children on a rainy day. The
survivalists face a constant battle boredom.

After all the work is done, the slow
times can sometimes feel like an eternity.

This can wear
down the teammates.

But some of them do try to find
unique ways to liven things up.

Wish we had a deck of cards. I
could go for rummy or poker right now

as,

as

something white, three colors,

green, blue and white.

Like I would sleep
when I got bored

and then as you were
sleeping, you would hear

and you'd look and
it's Robin sweeping

and she just, Robin stayed busy

in her quest to stay busy.

Robin actually added
more work to her plate

by inadvertently knocking
the entire shelter over.

I stepped on it.

Whoops.

This was the first time in my life that
I had this bulk of time alone to myself.

I had to keep my mind busy
and try to keep my hands busy too.

The days there were very
long because there wasn't

really much to do after
I collected firewood.

After I collected water,
there was a lot of free time.

So I would make hearts and
stay and text my family at home

just hoping they could
feel my love from afar.

I will never leave my family like
this again. It was too hard for me

without any modern day
devices to distract them.

The survivalists must invent
activities to pass the time or

be forced to suffer through
the deafening sound of silence.

Some teams made a concerted effort
to find a way to amuse themselves.

Jack w*r hunters

and sometimes it would get odd.
We're doing tattoos. You did tattoos.

I just did a couple of push ups,

crunches here and there

got a little bit toned up ready to
do some sting ray hunting today.

Well, look out sting
rays here. He comes

in Seroma Lake Debbie and be made
their own infomercial to pass the time.

Are you tired of being an
overweight and out of shape?

You can join Debbie and Bowe's
Jumble Fit boot camp and get in

shape in no time with our patented
paleo diet and exercise program.

You'll be

as fast as a jaguar, as
strong as an anaconda

and you'll have the utility of a
spider monkey call. R 55 Jungle Fit

call. Now

with all the extra
time on their hands,

making improvements in and around
their shelter led to interesting hilarity.

So this is my crib. It

comes with a fireplace, a fully
functioning garage door. You know,

this wheel slide,

it's got plenty of storage back here
in the back. I'm trying to, trying to go

green

and I'm trying to save the environment
a little bit. This is all biodegradable.

So most of the money
went on the pool.

You know, I figured if we're
gonna have people over,

they're gonna be one in
the pool and not in a crib.

So most of the time and money
spent went out there on the pool.

It's not a bad place to live.

We got the house
up for sale still.

I'm just awaiting some
prospects. We got hors

d'oeuvres out smoking.
Ready to rock for everyone.

We already have some prospect buyers that
are willing to come here and check it out.

Are you guys here
for the open house?

This thing could be yours riverfront
property for a bucket of chicken.

All yours for one
bucket of chicken.

That is all we're asking

naked into Fareed's
brutal environments.

Provide almost constant
physical pain for the survivalists,

but often the pain that they
suffered the most was on the inside.

Fine. I

miss my kids

and

my husband,

family. Kristin
certainly got homesick.

You know, she admitted to it
and it's perfectly understandable.

And to be honest, she expressed
her emotions a little bit more than I did.

I'm just not gonna think
about them anymore.

I don't think about him
and I don't get off cry.

Ok. So I just family. I
just want to say I love you.

I knew I wouldn't be
able to do the sucker.

I missed everyone a lot.

That was my hardest
challenge was getting past

the homesickness of being
away from my husband,

my family, my friends

and home.

I love you

under these extreme conditions.

A survivalist's fragile
emotions can lead to conflict.

All right.

So at this point,

I'm gonna walk down to the run out where we
first came in on day one and see if, you know,

we can't at least see

some crabs or any
other foodstuffs.

I

didn't mind being alone right
there at our fire in our camp.

But in my head, our game plan was,
you know, go and do things together.

When Palo walked away. I kind of was
like, who does that? He was by himself?

I am now in a

somewhat epic battle with a crab

underneath a rock

and in

up to my elbow.

Hm.

Just looking around
for my partner.

Bees

chomping on my
thumb pretty good.

I

feel like if he ran off, he
probably should have told me

just saying

I found him, Palo.
What are you doing?

Hunting crabs?

What are you up to

just looking for you?

And after that, I went into
scolding mommy mode,

but I definitely think it was an insecurity
on my part because I was very homesick.

Next time you go looking for

crabs. How about
you? Let me know.

Yeah,

cause I didn't know where you were and I was
kind of wandering around looking for you.

Oh, sorry. And it sucked. OK.
Sorry. So just holler for next time.

Yeah,

I think it's fair to say
that Kristen was a

little bit more homesick
than I was and you know,

me just

up and leaving without
announcing much of a plan was

enough to you know, upset her
a little bit more than it could have.

Yeah. My mom instincts probably
did kick in and I couldn't find Palo, but

I got over it

in the world of naked and
afraid conflicts between

the survivalists can vary
widely in size and scope.

For example, in Co

Mook Angela and
Darren's heated moment

was quite low key.

I would try and

double twist the cord
up so it's stronger

and thicker

and then it doesn't
abraid on you. It's bad.

Oh Yeah. But I
was gonna do this.

I was gonna strap it through here
and then wrap it around my back.

So I only need one cord.

I wouldn't do it that way.

Darren thought he was the expert at
everything cause if I had a suggestion,

he quickly shot it down and thought,
oh I'm the expert on everything.

A

little one up front for your toes
and then a different one in the back.

That's what I've found works
the best for me personally.

Many experimentations with
trying to tie sandals onto my feet.

Angela definitely didn't like me
telling her how to do lots of stuff.

She'd get frustrated that I was
trying to coach her through stuff.

It's beautiful,

way more beautiful
than this one, but

I've always been a
function over form person

and I kind of look beautiful.

The ongoing stress of just
surviving day to day guarantees that

not all conflicts will be as
mild as Angela and Darren's

case in point

in Guyana A K and Jason
had a nighttime blow up. Huh?

Not really

like you have

two more feet that I have.

Well, then you're just
gonna have to deal with it.

Really?

Quit touching me, please.

She was trying to get body
heat and she had some oil on her

body that caused an allergic reaction
and she kind of broke out in hives.

The last thing that I wanted
was her greasy a*s touching me.

Don't you have something on your
body? And you're trying to contaminate me?

There was one night I had a rash and my
entire body was broke out and I was itching.

Don't touch me. Well, then

your

oily a*s off of me.

You know, we laugh and joke about it even to
this day. But past that we never even fall

coming up today is

and yeah,

I just kicked straight
down on the tree.

Miss

you.

Survivalists need many things to get
by out in these brutal locales, food water

shelter

and as Debbie and
be proved in Sara Lake,

a mental strength that
includes a sense of humor.

This one of a kind South American
vacation home is located on Sara Lake.

Picture yourself sitting
lakeside from this all

natural hand hewn
part of palm bench,

check out this beautiful
custom made shelter.

Approximately 64 square
feet can be yours and

skylights which
also act as a shower

when you're sleeping.

This house comes fully equipped
with a full compliment of tool,

kitchenware

and one very valued commodity,

a hairbrush. If you do have to go
to the bathroom, just pull up a tree

and make peace with the woods.

We have a special going
this week and it's marked

down to 29 million Guyanese
dollars sellers are motivated.

So

that's how we do with Bo and
Deb style. That's how we do it

up in the Rupani

man,

the naked and afraid 21 day
challenge is unique in that it

is not just a physical experience
that the survivalists suffer through.

Eventually,

the pain subsides and the insights
they learn about themselves last forever.

For Fan Paulo, this
rang is especially true.

We certainly became a little
bit more in tune to the jungle

itself where I would just kind
of look around and be like,

all right, this is good.

This is how it's
supposed to be weird.

I'm starting to see things
that a lot of other people aren't.

My eyes start to
perceive things differently.

It's almost as though
I'm being able to see into,

you know, another
aspect of the world.

You start to, you know, feel nature around
you because you're in it all the time.

You're not distracted by your phone
going off, you know, text messages TV.

There's none of that.

And so you start, you start to
listen more, you start to smell more. A

lot of folks go on naked and paid
and they're like, just barely getting by.

That's not how
Debbie and I do things.

We're like, you know, we're
gonna come out here and kick a*s.

So we're sitting here just chilling
by the fire, minding our business.

And this is an example of people
who are thriving, not surviving

into the second week out there. Towards
the end of the first week, I definitely

felt like I was connecting with an environment
and my body was getting into a flow.

There was one moment that
I felt like a complete badass.

I ended up having to cut down a cooper
tree to build my shelter. Here we go.

There was no greater feeling
when I was able to cut down that tree.

All right, good morning day 21. I am
so ready to get the heck out of here.

When extraction day came,

I was very excited because
I was so looking forward

to all the luxuries that
we have in civilization.

It feels like Christmas morning

today is extraction

and yeah, we're
just ready for action.

Oh,

well, suck it up and go for it in
preparation for extraction day.

We both had our own rafts.
The waves were really choppy.

I was afraid of
sharks in the water

extraction day was
horrible. Sick of this.

Oh, I just get straight
down on a tree.

I had the large blister underneath
the arc of my foot and it ripped open.

I was worried there would be
blood that would attract piranhas.

It's not the best feeling ever.

All right,

Shika,

you have to go upstairs.

We had to climb up and out of the canyon
and by climb up and out of the canyon,

I literally mean that

the mountain that we were
climbing up to get out of the canyon

was insane.

It was scary. I feel like I
really at tested my limits.

We are,

we're at the top of the ridge
to take Kristin and myself.

Two people that were just like we're fans
of the program and throw us into the mix

and survive and like overcome the obstacles
we did to end the adventure that way.

It crystallized
everything for me.

We made it and it
feels so damn good.

I have finally made it back

to Alabama.

My family was beyond
excited to see me when,

when I got back because they
knew it meant everything for me

to go out there and be able
to complete this challenge.

Karma dog was so
excited to see me.

She just came out
and jumped on me and

ran circles around me
barking and then jumped on me

again. She's definitely pretty
excited to have me home in her life

and three weeks
out in the jungle,

not really having a single
thing comfortable to sit on

as soon as I was back in
civilization and then sat on a couch.

I was basically out
and falling asleep.

This is probably the most comfortable
thing that I've ever got to lay on

once I did finally see, you know, my
friends, my family, everyone like that.

It was

this overwhelming experience of
everyone like, oh my God, you're alive.

And it was just this whirlwind
of excitement and like,

hugs and high fives and
kisses and everything like that

because it took me two
tries to be able to get it done.

It made me feeling that much
better being away that long. It's hard.

My family was so excited

like my husband especially,

he just broke down crying too. Even the
next day, my son wouldn't stop hugging me.

It took a good week to get them to realize
mommy's here. I'm not going anywhere.

I got as many hugs
as you need. I'm here.

The challenge should be tough and it can
be way tougher. It's the toss of the hat.

You don't know what you're
gonna get from any environment.

Mother nature can rip
your head off or she can kiss

you on the lips and
say have a good day.

It was incredible.

It was something I never experienced
before and it was just awe inspiring.
