She was a people pleaser.
She enjoyed helping people.
But these women
just weren't her friends.
They were just so dangerous.
They were terrible,
the ultimate mean girls.
JERRY: She's not creating
this persona.
She's willing
to hurt somebody.
She enjoys it --
that's who she is.
It wasn't surprising that...
women did it.
Women in this group
can be ruthless.

JIMI: Albuquerque definitely
does have an edge.
You could say that it has
a Wild West kind of feel to it.
NARRATOR:
Set along Route 66,
it's no surprise
that Albuquerque,
New Mexico, is home to
an outlaw party scene, full of
tough guys and wild women.
They just kind of went
with the flow of things.
They got drawn into
the party life scene,
and the party is neverending.
We wanted to go hang out
with these people,
because they were fun,
and they had the parties.
Gradually,
the groups got more
adventurous, and the parties
got crazier.
It's kind of like
a home for lost souls,
women that maybe have left
something behind,
left their family behind,
and kind of get together
their party together,
and kind of
create a new life
and new family there.
In this scene,
they'll often
refer to people
as my daughter, my sister.
And if you could trust
somebody in this world,
that's huge,
that's priceless.
NARRATOR: And at the heart
of this found family
are the queen bees
who call the shots.
JERRY: What people don't know
is women in this group
can be ruthless.
I've seen some vicious women
out there.
They were not gonna put up
with anybody else's
attitude but their own.
They were always
talking [bleep].
You've got your leaders,
and you've got your followers.
NARRATOR:
On the surface,
doesn't seem to
fit in with this badass
group of women.
TERESA: Tiffany was
a people pleaser.
She enjoyed helping people.
Tiffany's outlook on life
was nothing could be wrong.
And if you were
having a bad day,
she figured out how
to make it better.
She loved life.
BLAIR: Tiffany had
an unfortunate accident when
I think she was about
five years old where a bunch of
kids were playing in
the backyard, and her brother
threw a pretty sizable rock,
and it fractured her skull.
She had to have
brain surgery.
Her first seizure
was at age 12.
She would have
grand mal seizures.
NARRATOR: Tiffany's
unpredictable health fuels
a sometimes
fearless lifestyle.
KRISTAL: Tiffany,
she was just playful.
There was never really
anything that she was afraid
to do, and she just kept
one-upping herself.
HOLLY: Tiffany was definitely
a free spirit.
She wanted to do everything
the way she wanted to do it.
SHARON:
She was the adventurous one.
Tiffany was
the life of the party.
She basically brought
the party to the party.
JIMI: Tiffany was definitely
a wild one.
But her settling down,
that might have been
an unrealistic reality,
because she was such
a wild and free spirit.
It's like a wild horse
that couldn't be tamed.
NARRATOR: After two failed
relationships,
Tiffany clearly
isn't the marrying kind,
but by 22, she's a devoted
single mom to two children,
Sevennah and Patrick.
Just to see how she naturally
navigated into that
role of being a mother was
pretty cool to watch.
She was good at it.
HOLLY: But her mother
took custody of her kids
when she started having
more seizures.
But she also understood
and knew it was
for the safety of her
and her kids.
NARRATOR: Without full-time
custody of her kids,
Tiffany is free to live her
life and hang out in biker bars
with whomever she sees fit,
including leaders of
the local party crowd,
and sidekick
Stephanie Rai Rai Stepp.
Shawna didn't care
who she stepped on
to get what she wanted.
She was a leader,
and some of the girls looked
up to her, because she is crazy,
and she was ruthless.
JERRY: People knew her
as a shot caller.
If you wanted something done,
it was gonna get done.
She was going to make
it happen.
I think Shawna did like
her reputation.
She enjoyed the narcissism
of it.
JIMI: As long as she got
what she aimed to get,
that's all she cared about.
Stephanie, which everybody
knew as Rai Rai,
she was definitely a wild one.
DANA: Stephanie is
five-foot-two, 130 pounds,
a small stature,
but she is tough.
Stephanie's life in this world
started where she ran away.
I believe she was 14 when
she moved in with a guy who
was in a biker g*ng, and he was
also part of that party scene.
If she got news of someone
wronging a friend,
she'd be the first one to
say that,
"Oh, I'll take care of it."
That was a thrill to her.
She liked to scrap.
KRISTAL: Shawna
and Stephanie, they just
looked out for themself.
They didn't give a [bleep]
about anything else.
I knew the people
that she was
hanging out with were not
good people.
These are not
your people, Tiffany.
I always worried about Tiffany,
but Tiffany liked Shawna.
She had good respect for her.
She called her a friend.
I'm sure she probably
wanted to impress her
and get respect from her.
Tiffany would definitely
always want to fit in.
She wanted to fit in with them
and get them to like her.
She was so friendly
and just so outgoing.
But I was surprised
that she was close
to women like that --
in my relationship with her,
she'd always go towards
the guys.
But Tiffany wanted
to go hang out with these
women, because they were fun
and they had the parties.
It was the feeling and
the euphoria of that high,
and, you know,
being with individuals
who were like-minded
in that moment with her.
She was always just like,
let's have fun, and we'll deal
with the problems,
you know, later.
That's just how she was,
and she liked to meet
new people.
Tiffany was the flirt.
If the guy was nice and fun,
she would be like, "Hey,"
and before you know it,
it's like, oh,
Tiffany's dating that guy --
here she's dating that one.
NARRATOR: But even after several
years in the group,
what Tiffany never seems to
learn is that in this so-called
sisterhood,
there are rules,
and rule number one
is never steal the spotlight
from Shawna and Stephanie.
JAKE: I was
at a friend's house.
Tiffany and a couple of
her friends had showed up.
I thought
she was pretty hot.
She was gonna kind of put on
some sort of fashion show
or something
and then left
the door open, and she was
getting changed, and he happened
to see her getting undressed.
And so that was how
their relationship started.
JAKE: That's when we started
really talking
and getting to know
each other.
NARRATOR:
After they start dating,
Jake learns that while
Tiffany can be sweet,
she can also be spicy,
and that aggravates
the biker chick clique,
especially the two women
at the top,
Shawna and Stephanie.
JAKE: Tiffany thought
she was hot [bleep].
She walked around like...
she didn't care,
and people didn't like it.
She just enjoyed
the attention.
I could see there
being jealousy.
I think Tiffany needed to
understand the hierarchy
that already existed,
that Shawna and Stephanie were
already at the top.
I don't think Shawna
and Stephanie would have
liked that she was being
overly flirtatious
or seductive.
They believed
it was manipulative.
Her manipulative ways
were getting her in trouble
with some women along the way.
Eventually, it catches up.
NARRATOR: In the spring of 2015,
Jimi Gillentine helps Tiffany
get a job as
a live-in caregiver
to a disabled woman
named Denise Cole.
JIMI: Tiffany met Denise
because of me.
I explained to her
the situation.
So, of course, Tiffany being
Tiffany, took over.
It was getting Denise back
into health, and
instead of her being
in bed all the time,
she was getting up and moving
around and coming outside.
DANA: Denise was another
extension of this group,
who they referred to as Mom,
and she needed a caretaker.
Tiffany would help
clean and fix
her dinners
and take care of her,
spend time with her.
Tiffany thought of Denise
as a mother,
a second mother --
as a person, she loved her.
NARRATOR: But soon after
moving in with Denise,
Tiffany becomes the target of
nasty gossip.
Rumors were spreading that
Tiffany was stealing
from Denise.
DANA: You know, in this group,
they have their own set
of morals.
You don't steal from Mom.
JERRY: Those are the rumors.
I don't know if Tiffany
ever did that.
That's what Robert McGuire
was saying.
Robert McGuire, who was also
part of that party scene,
I knew him as Machete Bob.
That's his name on the streets.
Robert McGuire, Machete Bob,
he was my friend.
He was a character.
He was a wild one.
He could be your best friend,
or he could be
your worst enemy.
JERRY: He's also friends
with Denise Cole.
So he steps in, kicks Tiffany
out, says you're not stealing
from Denise,
and that becomes Robert
McGuire's job is to watch
Denise Cole
and stay at the residence.
NARRATOR: According to Tiffany,
she's the real victim,
not Denise.
SEAN: Tiffany made
the allegation
that Robert McGuire
had r*ped her.
And so that rumor spread
very quickly.
I don't think she understood
what this implication
of r*pe meant to women
in this group.
JIMI: I don't know
what went down.
Bob probably physically
assaulted her.
I don't know about
sexually assaulting her.
To make something up
like that,
I just don't think that she
would do something like that.
DANA: Who knows
whether it's true or not,
but these rumors are spreading,
and people
are believing what
they want to believe.
JAKE:
I want to believe everything
she ever told me was true,
but I honestly don't know now.
JERRY: I get a call
from an informant,
one of the people that works
for me, people on the street,
and they said that there's
a crime that may have occurred,
but it may not be true.
So I have to start
asking questions.
I have no idea truly
what happened at that point.
But the person said, "Hey,
Machete Bob's missing."
A different person calls me,
"Hey, Machete Bob's dead.
"He's been seen
in the back of
a trunk in Los Lunas
in this parking lot."
When I get the second tip
that matches everything
that the first tip said,
I realized that this could
potentially be true,
and it's something I should
probably start looking into.
So Los Lunas P.D.,
they go look for me, and they
go to McDonald's parking lot,
and there's no car,
there's no body,
there's nothing there.
NARRATOR: Meanwhile, police
pay a visit to the home of
Denise Cole, where Bob had
lived after kicking Tiffany out.
The name Tiffany Boyer
came up and I said, "Who?"
Like, who's that?
I don't --
I don't know Tiffany.
OFFICER: When you say...
OFFICER: Oh, wow.
NARRATOR: Denise believes
Tiffany convinced
a man to retaliate
against Bob.
JERRY: So once Tiffany's name
comes up multiple times,
the thing I realized
my next step was gonna
be is I gotta find Tiffany.
Gotta find Tiffany and question
her and see what's true
and what's not,
see if the r*pe allegation
was true,
see if she set up this potential
hit on Robert McGuire.
I had a thousand questions
to ask her.
So after that,
I attempted to locate her,
but initially,
we were unable to do so.
NARRATOR: As police continue
tracking Tiffany down,
Detective Koppman
gets a big tip.
And they said,
"Hey, if you want to solve
"this Machete Bob thing,
you need to
talk to Shawna Cannon."
I meet up with Shawna,
and Shawna starts telling me
she thought something
happened to Bob,
and she has the means to solve
it, because she feels like
she is kind of a boss.
So she's gonna go grab
closest friends and get to
the bottom of this.
She tells me that
Robert McGuire was k*lled
because Tiffany had said
that he r*ped her.
She believes Tiffany had
Robert McGuire set up.
DANA: At this point,
Tiffany's reputation is not
a reputable one.
I don't think they believed
her to be truthful.
In fact, Shawna calls Tiffany
a liar and a wh*re.
KRISTAL: I never really felt
like Tiffany was trying to hurt
anybody or trying
to get anybody
in trouble or blame anything
on anybody with a lie.
This was her story.
DANA:
With Shawna saying maybe
Tiffany had something to do
with Machete Bob's
disappearance, well then,
let's find Tiffany.
And at that point, when
the investigator asks Shawna,
where's Tiffany?
She just...
shrugs, like we don't know.
JERRY: And Shawna says,
"I'm sure she's just
"laying low somewhere.
"She's laying low,
trying to avoid the heat.
"She's out there.
"She's alive and well,
and she's
"hoping that everybody thinks
she's dead.
That's her master plan."
[phone ringing]
OPERATOR: Mm-hmm.
HOLLY: There would be
periods of time
where her mom
wouldn't hear from her.
Her dad wouldn't hear
from her.
Nobody would hear from her.
But she never went long
without calling or coming by.
I didn't know where she was.
I didn't know
what was going on.
The longest she went without
seeing us was like a week.
I thought she would be
coming back.
I didn't understand
what was happening.
KRISTAL: Her sister had
called me and asked me,
"Do you know
where Tiffany is?"
I said, "No,
I haven't talked to her."
"Oh, okay.
She's missing."
And I said
"What happened?"
"We don't know. She just --
we can't find her.
She just
disappeared one day."
SHARON: I knew
something wasn't right.
I've got a bad feeling,
you know?
NARRATOR: Now the Albuquerque
Police are investigating
two missing persons,
and they seem connected.
The statement that I heard
is that Robert McGuire
was k*lled because Tiffany
had said that he r*ped her,
and Tiffany is just
laying low.
NARRATOR: After Teresa
makes her report,
Police look to
Tiffany's boyfriend,
Jake Seale, hoping he can shed
light on her disappearance.
SEAN: Jake Seale, he was
clearly scared to talk to
law enforcement.
When we finally located
and spoke to Jake
for the first time,
he's very reticent in
providing information.
You could see that there was
this sort of internal tension
that he was fighting,
which is I really care about
Tiffany, and I really want to
provide all the information
that I have to help you all,
but I have my own personal
safety to consider.
And so I --
you could see him
early on fighting that tension
within himself.
NARRATOR: Jake eventually shares
with police that on August 19th,
he was at a friend's
house when
Tiffany showed up unexpectedly
in someone else's car.
Well, Tiffany just had
a look on her face that...
I knew wasn't right.
And that's how I ended up
in the car.
NARRATOR: Jake won't tell
the detective who was
driving the car
or where they were taken
but says he was worried enough
about Tiffany to ride along.
Makes sense, because she --
I mean, she picked good guys.
Like they weren't
the best dudes,
but they cared about her
in whatever way they could.
She trusted Jake.
He wanted to protect her.
JAKE: We went to a house.
We all just sat around
the living room.
People --
some various people were...
making verbal comments to Tiff
and calling her names.
It becomes clear to Jake
that everybody is there
to get information
from Tiffany Boyer
about Machete Bob.
That's when
everything kinda changed.
NARRATOR:
As the scene intensifies,
Jake states he was stripped
down and thrown into a closet,
the door nailed shut.
It sounds like walls
being crushed in
or something being thrown
through them.
Took me about a year,
little over a year,
to be able to close my eyes
and not hear her scream.
NARRATOR: Sometime later,
Jake is let out of the closet,
and Tiffany is gone.
I woke up
to a whole new world.
JERRY: Jake Seale
had been threatened
to keep his mouth shut.
From the moment he was taken
out of the closet,
they said,
"Keep your mouth shut.
You're not gonna talk
about this to anybody."
SEAN: Jake Seale was present
in the home in the closet.
So when he tells that story,
I think what potentially could
have been a simple missing
person's investigation
was very obviously not so
after that point.
NARRATOR: Police know something
horrific went down in the house.
But with Jake too scared to
give up any names and no sign
of Tiffany,
the investigation stalls.
As the days tick by,
Tiffany's friends
and family begin to lose faith
that she'll be found.
And there was one percent --
the one percent of hope of,
okay, she's hiding somewhere.
She's a fighter.
She's fierce.
And it was
the one percent that was
absolutely the most agonizing
space to be in,
because you just held on to
that hope.
NARRATOR:
With no strong leads,
Detective Koppman
is at a loss.
So he goes back
to queen bee, Shawna Cannon.
So originally,
she tells me, "Well,
I don't really know much
about anything,"
but me and her actually begin
talking on the phone routinely.
So very quickly,
she began to trust me.
But throughout
various conversations,
I got more and more.
NARRATOR: In her mind,
Shawna is working
towards her goal,
helping to find Bob.
But then Shawna's
telling me, "We had her taken."
That's when I realized, okay,
Shawna definitely
knows what's going on here.
NARRATOR: Detective Koppman
listens as Shawna explains
she was the one who had
Tiffany in the car in
Jake's story.
She says Jake Seale
wanted to come along.
JERRY: Shawna didn't want
to seem like a bad guy.
She was just concerned about
Bob, and the way
to find Bob is to do
X, Y, and Z.
So Shawna takes Tiffany
herself and Jake Seale
in her car, drives them over to
Rob Rose's house.
Rob Rose was known in this group
as somebody who was just
always around,
his house was sort of
a get-together location.
JERRY: Yeah.
NARRATOR:
Shawna Cannon has spent years
as the queen bee in her circle.
She knows how to use her power
to get what she wants.
And she's convinced Detective
Koppman will fall under
her spell.
JERRY:
Shawna liked talking to me.
What I learned about her is
she justifies everything,
and she truly thought
she was a good person.
And she ended up telling me
certain details that she just
should not have told me.
I'm not gonna solve this case
if Shawna doesn't open
her mouth,
and she opened it quite a bit.
NARRATOR: Shawna says
she made a few phone calls
once Tiffany was at the house,
including to
her second-in-command,
Stephanie Rai Rai Stepp.
JERRY:
William Paul Alexander,
he's been known in
the party scene for decades,
and he's also known as
somebody that's very violent.
SEAN: He was an individual
in his sixties, I believe --
late fifties, early sixties --
they called him Uncle Paul.
It was a --
it was a sign of respect.
SEAN: When Stephanie Stepp
got the call from
Shawna Cannon that
they had Tiffany Boyer
at Rob Rose's house,
and they were questioning
Tiffany about Robert
McGuire's disappearance,
Stephanie Stepp went to go
immediately to Rob Rose's
house to involve
herself in the situation.
I think it demonstrates Shawna
Cannon's reputation in this
group, that Shawna Cannon could
reach out to Stephanie Stepp,
and Stephanie Stepp would drop
whatever she was doing to go
and attend to this situation.
SEAN: Her statement to law
enforcement is, "I just
"wanted to know what happened
to Robert McGuire.
"I put Tiffany in my car.
"Yes, she wasn't free to leave,
and yes,
"I drove her to Rob Rose's
house, but I left,
so my hands are clean."
NARRATOR: Shawna's account
gives Detective Koppman
a location,
but he's no closer to having
concrete proof that
Tiffany Boyer was m*rder*d,
and with Tiffany
still missing,
he needs to track down
the other players in Shawna's
story to corroborate
what he's hearing.
JERRY: I grab a couple of guys,
and we go do
a search warrant
on Rob Rose's house.
I see Rob Rose leaving
his house, and I ask him,
"Do you have any weapons
on you?"
He said, "Yeah, I have a g*n
on me," so I get the g*n,
and I place him in cuffs,
because at this point,
I know he's a convicted felon,
and he's prohibited from
carrying firearms.
They were looking for any
physical evidence to show that
a struggle is there,
to show that a crime may have
been committed.
Detectives locate that closet
door, and they're seeing holes,
and these holes are specifically
on the door frame, uh,
into the door,
where you would actually be
able to secure the door using
screws and nails,
which matches exactly
what Jake Seale had
previously stated.
They were successfully able to
observe what appeared to
be blood
that was at the scene where
Jake Seale stated
that Tiffany was beaten.
NARRATOR:
During the search,
Rob Rose is questioned
about the allegations
of what went down
inside his home.
Some people are fairly
decent liars,
uh, when we question them --
others, not so much.
Rob falls in the category of
a horrible liar.
We asked him about
the holes in the --
the frame of the closet door,
and he just basically blamed
that on his weird roommate that
he does weird things, and at
that moment, he was being
very uncooperative.
We weren't believing a word
he was saying the whole time.
We know his involvement is
pretty deep at this point.
NARRATOR: But Detective Koppman
senses that the women
are at the heart of
this crime.
He needs to find
Stephanie Stepp.
I get a call, a tip,
saying,
"I know where
Stephanie Stepp's at.
"You better hurry.
I don't know how long she's
gonna be at this house."
So me and this detective fly
over there as fast as we can.
I know that she knows me.
We pull her aside,
and I talk to her low-key
casual, like,
"Hey, what's up?
You remember me?"
She's like, "Yeah,
Koppman, what's up?"
The more she started talking,
the more her ego started
taking over, and then she
started bragging about it,
and that's when she's telling
me she's dropping elbows,
punches, kicks.
So she was bragging, and she
said, "I beat that b*tch's a*s."
So I act like
it's no big deal.
Wow, you beat her
that bad, huh?
Okay, cool.
She was gagged and bound?
Okay, well, how's everything
else going?
DETECTIVE: Okay.
I've never had somebody brag
to me as a cop before about
kidnapping somebody and just
beating them as bad as she
was saying she did,
but she was pretty proud
of it.
And then she said, "Well,
I don't think Tiffany is dead.
I believe Tiffany is
still alive."
She said, "If she was k*lled,
I wasn't there."
Inside, I'm like,
this girl's crazy.
But we did exchange numbers
after that.
We let her go like
it was no big deal.
But as crazy as it sounded
that I was playing nonchalant,
I'm gonna need this girl down
the line.
That's the long game of
solving all of this.
NARRATOR:
Stephanie said when she left,
Tiffany was still alive.
We put forth a lot of effort,
and we were unable to locate
Tiffany or any signs of her.
We're believing probably
a homicide at that point.
NARRATOR: Frustrated,
Detective Koppman
turns to Shawna Cannon,
hoping she'll
be happy to snitch on
her friends one more time.
JERRY: So Shawna was definitely
lying to me from the beginning,
if anything else, just by
keeping information from me.
So that night is when
she really broke it down.
She said,
"Oh, I talked to Stephanie.
Like, you're gonna
want to hear this."
I was like,
"Okay, what's up?"
She said, "Well,
Stephanie said that she was
"trying to strangle her
to death,
"strangle Tiffany to death,
but she didn't quite do it."
She's not even considering
the loyalty with
Stephanie Stepp --
that's not important.
Who cares, and then she
brought us something about
a hammer, and I said,
"What was that?"
And she kind of whispers,
"A hammer."
I was like,
"Okay, who used the hammer?"
"You're gonna have to figure
that out, ask around.
I don't know, I gotta go."
So the next day,
I already know I have
to go locate, uh, Stephanie
Stepp and reinterview her,
and that's what I did.
Had her step out of the house
and step into the vehicle.
I said, "Stephanie, listen,
"like, you've given me
some information.
"That's great.
Uh, but now I received all of
"the information.
"So no more BSing me, like,
I'm gonna tell you right now
stuff that I already know --
tell me about the hammer."
She's stressed out,
her heart is pounding.
I'm looking at her
straight in the face.
And under that extreme stress,
she answers the question.
And what she told me was
shocking to me.
NARRATOR: Detective Koppman
has mean girl,
Stephanie Rai Rai Stepp,
cornered.
I think at that point,
Stephanie had no idea
who turned on her.
She knew somebody did, because
there was only a few people
there besides herself,
but she wasn't able to figure
it out at that moment that it
was Shawna, absolutely not.
Like, tell me
about the hammer.
Who used the hammer
on Tiffany Boyer?
And she says, "Well, the boys
took care of all that.
I was trying to choke her out.
I was trying to k*ll her."
Her emotional level was
very high,
and she was acting it out,
trying her hardest
to use that emotion and anger
to k*ll Tiffany.
NARRATOR: But it turns out
Rai Rai isn't as
tough as she thinks.
NARRATOR: According to
Stephanie, it was one blow to
the head by Uncle Paul
that k*lled Tiffany.
JERRY: It was not
a big deal for Paul.
He stepped in
in a cold fashion,
had a hammer, and was able
to complete the act
in a manner of two seconds.
And he took a life
like it was nothing.
She said, "And from there,
we rolled her up in a rug,
and we put her in the back of
Rob Rose's car in the trunk."
She said, "And from there,
Paul and Rob Rose
drove off with her."
And they came back several
hours later,
and all they had to say at
that point was,
"She's now coyote food."
NARRATOR: When Jake was finally
let out of the closet,
he feared for his life
and agreed not to tell a soul.
At that moment,
Tiffany's missing person
investigation truly becomes
a homicide investigation.
NARRATOR: But without a body
or manner of death confirmed,
Albuquerque Police
can't arrest
Shawna, Stephanie,
or Uncle Paul.
That was really just the point
of saying we need to double
our efforts,
and we need to figure out
who can help us
find the remains,
where it became essential
that Rob Rose be on our side.
NARRATOR:
With an offer of immunity,
Rob Rose flips and agrees to
show detectives where
Tiffany's body was dumped.
Almost three months after
she was reported missing,
detectives locate
Tiffany's body.
We turned that corner
around the bush,
and there she is, all of her.
Tiffany.
And we were just silent for
a minute, just staring,
like all the madness
had kind of come down to
this point.
NARRATOR: Later that evening,
Tiffany's loved
ones are notified
about the discovery.
TERESA: I was training
at a store out of town
when I got the call.
I cried, because it finally
hit home.
I came back to Albuquerque.
I just felt like I needed to
be back here where she was.
BLAIR: The phone rings.
Unknown caller.
The detective identified
himself and said, "We're sorry.
"I'm sorry to tell you that
we've positively identified
the remains as your daughter,
Tiffany Boyer."
I can hear him on the phone
when he said that, it's just,
it's burned into my memory
for the rest of my life.
I'll never forget it.
KRISTAL: When I found out
that they found her,
um...
I cried,
and I hugged my kids.
She was a good person,
and she meant
a lot in my life.
NARRATOR:
While investigators wait for
the medical examiner's report,
a discovery is made in
the desert.
JERRY: Bob McGuire's body was
found in a shallow grave.
I believe it was Los Lunas --
to this day,
who knows? Maybe somebody did
observe him in a trunk.
Robert "Machete Bob" McGuire
was never proven to have
r*ped Tiffany, and his m*rder
is still officially unsolved.
A forensic anthropologist is
finally able to determine that
Tiffany was k*lled by blunt
force trauma to the head.
After the long,
frustrating wait,
investigators can finally
make their move.
JERRY: The arrests are
a very coordinated effort.
I knew that Shawna was in
some type of beauty school.
So I sent somebody there.
I knew Paul's location,
so we got him at that house.
I had somebody that was
into Stephanie Stepp.
We sent somebody
over to that house,
and we were able to take them
down simultaneously.
NARRATOR:
Uncle Paul Alexander receives
a first-degree m*rder conviction
and a life sentence.
Stephanie Rai Rai Stepp
pleads guilty to
second-degree m*rder and
receives a 24-year sentence.
Tiffany was flirtatious
with the guys,
and she got attention
that way.
Stephanie had anger issues,
and I think she was
looking for an opportunity
to take it out on Tiffany.
NARRATOR: Shawna Cannon pleads
guilty to kidnapping
and receives six years.
DANA: Shawna took things
into her own hands,
and that's what
she's always done.
Shawna orchestrates
this kidnapping of Tiffany,
taking her back
to question her
and maybe help solve
the m*rder of Machete Bob.
NARRATOR: Free-spirited Tiffany
never understood
how vicious these queen bees
could be until it was too late.
She was such a special girl,
and she was so bright,
and she was so beautiful.
Oh, my gosh, man.
And she brought two beautiful,
amazing humans into the world.
She was an absolutely
incredible human being.
TERESA: Sevennah is Tiffany
all over again.
And I really do think
God did that for me.
I don't think
I could have gone on.
She was my sister.
She was my best friend.
She was there when
I needed her, um...
I loved the [bleep]
out of that girl, like...
And when she was taken,
I felt
like they took something
from me, too.
I do believe my mom's goodness
does live with me.
I have a big part of her in me,
and I think that's just great.
It's just a great blessing
to know that,
um, she did love us
before she left.
PATRICK: I love my mom
with 110 percent.

she had a heart of gold.
