I take off the hat, and bam!
I'm Kath Day-Knight, baby,
and I'm having a bloody good
time.
Michelle:
Look at me, look at me.
I preferred her with the hat on.
Up next, Etcetera Etcetera.
Michelle:
Y'all, kiss my eucalyptus!
I'm giving you this fantasy
of the full, rich,
fresh Australian bush, and I
then reveal,
through a flash of fire,
into a burnt tree stump,
and I'm walking down that runway
serving ember and ash realness.
And out of the ashes
comes new life.
Rena: Fantastic.
Scarlet Adams.
-Priscilla? I hardly know her.
-Ah-ha-ha.
Well, at least her back
is safe from the rain.
That's true.
For my Finest Sheila of the Bush
look, I am channeling
from one of the most iconic
Australian films,
Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.
I am walking down the runway
and I feel like I am floating on
a cloud.
The lamé is flowing
behind me perfectly,
and I feel like I look like a
vision.
Oh, I have one of these
to keep my car cool during the
day.
-Of course.
-You put it in the windshield.
-Kia ora, queens!
-Kia ora!
-Aussie Aussie Aussie!
-Oi oi oi!
It's time for the judges'
critiques.
First up, Elektra Shock.
Let's take a look at your ad.
Elektra Shock.
Your infomercial made us laugh,
but tonight on the runway,
you're back to basic.
Pause.
That's me, Elektra Shock,
two-times bottom
and currently playing safe.
But then I got Topped,
by Busted Spreads.
Our top scientists at Busted HQ
have been working on this
exciting
new yeast spread
to make those long Werk Room
days
go down a bit smoother.
But wait, there's more!
Stuffed with charisma,
overflowing with uniqueness,
and packed with nerve,
and Topped is the only yeast
spread
on the market that's full
of "and talent".
So, call now,
because every time I spread,
I get Topped.
I thought you did
a really good job,
and I think that a lot
of these girls here
are underestimating you.
So funny!
-It really just hit the brief.
-Very proud of you this week.
Several weeks in a row, we
thought,
"Oh, she's a goner,"
but here you are, a competitor
to be reckoned with.
And I love this look.
I gotta tell you,
I think this is the most
beautiful
you have looked on this runway.
-Is your hair painted on?
-Yes, my wigs aren't the best,
so I thought,
why not just paint one on?
Up next, Kita Mean.
Do you get distressed
at the mere thought of having
no new donut fillings
to nibble on these days?
I'm so outrageously distressed
and perturbed
at the thought of having
no new exquisitely delicious
donut fillings to nibble on
these days!
Well, calm your t*ts.
Yeasty Nuts.
The ripest aromas.
The tangiest taste.
Guaranteed to have you
absolutely gagging for more.
Open wide, and fill your ring
with Yeasty Nuts.
In your infomercial, you were
funny,
you were ridiculous.
You challenged yourself,
you pushed yourself,
and this is a really pretty look
on you.
Rhys: I'm loving watching you
throughout this competition,
because you do bring us
something
different every week.
The infomercial,
by playing it straight,
you really found the comedy in
it.
Did you get everything in
to your commercial
that you had planned?
Absolutely. I usually have a
hard time
getting anything in.
Up next, Maxi Shield.
Are you tired of sitting at home
alone,
petting your own p*ssy?
Are you sick of ordering dinner
for two,
and then having to pretend
that you've got a roommate?
Hornbag Yeast Concentrate.
It's sex appeal in a jar.
It's just a teaspoon in water
for five days,
and you should see results.
Here at the Hornbag Institute,
we have a motto.
If we can get a man on the moon,
Hornbag Yeast Concentrate
can get a man in you.
Also available in yeast patches,
for the girl on the go.
Now, you struggled
quite a bit with your ad,
and I think we ran into the same
thing
that we ran into with the
singing.
When you don't believe in
yourself,
you start to really go inside.
You gotta stop doing that.
I'm just-- I'm surprised
that you didn't do better in
this.
I-- I'm really disappointed.
These challenges are designed
to see who you are.
My therapist, years ago--
"You know, Ru, the power
that you have in drag
is available to you out of
drag."
Does that ring true for you?
-Yes, definitely.
-Thanks, Maxi.
Up next, Karen From Finance.
Hi, I'm Karen From Finance,
and I'm a very busy woman.
There's nothing that I love more
than taking a break
and enjoying a healthy snack
of Discharge.
Your colleagues are sure
to be jealous every time
-your discharge is hanging
around.
-[coughing]
With its rich and wet
consistency,
Discharge also works
as a great sun repellent
for those hot and steamy days
in the Aussie sun.
Discharge retails for just 2.99
a jar,
and can be found in all hot,
female centers.
Let's talk about Discharge.
Yay.
It was all really fun and funny.
I just thought it was
interesting
that I had to go, "Bigger."
-Always be as big as you can be.
-I agree with Michelle.
As my boyfriend is often saying
to me,
please go bigger.
-[laughs]
-Um...
The commercial was funny-- it
wasn't
my favorite, it wasn't the
worst.
Tell us about your outfit.
Well, tonight I'm representing
all of the volunteer
firefighters
around our countries.
We live in a country that's
prone
to wildfires and bush fires
pretty much every summer season,
but we also live in a time
when our governments
are denying climate change,
which is pretty much forcing
these bush fires to happen.
And so, I just really wanted
to represent community,
and, uh,
and those volunteers out there.
You know, I always thought a
Sheila
was sort of a red-necky type of
feel,
-but now it's just an everyday
woman?
-I would say a Sheila is just a
woman,
but it is a term that's used
by a working-class man.
-Like a broad.
-Exactly.
I see.
I think this outfit is so chic.
Michelle:
I thought this was really
beautiful.
I knew exactly what it was
when you came out.
It made such a beautiful
statement.
We were all, as a world,
sitting there with bated breath
when you were all going through
that--
all the wildlife that we lost,
all the wildlife
that was being re-homed,
and thank God,
saved and rehabilitated,
so this was really nice.
Rhys: This was, like,
a political outfit saying
something,
but you're not losing
any of the campness.
I really appreciate you
bringing that out
to everyone's attention.
-Up next, Art Simone.
-Hello!
Does this ever happen to you?
Oh, oh, dear, they say
that Australia and New Zealand
are different places.
Dear, I know, I know.
I know.
Introducing Art's Yeasty Yank
Extractor.
Our secret recipe has kept
Americans
off our back verandas
and away from our beloved
goon sacks.
Ever wondered why Trump
has never tried to buy the Opera
House?
Now, you're probably wondering
how we made this product.
Now, first you just [bleep],
and then you just [bleep],
and then a little bit of
bleeding
is perfectly natural.
It's just that easy.
Never waste another minute
explaining that you don't know
how many Hemsworth brothers
there are
or who Rhys Nicholson is.
Get your gob on it.
Mmm, yum!
Tonight on the runway was so
fun.
I'm a huge, huge
Kath & Kim fanatic,
so I'm glad that you brought her
to the main stage.
You-- you're so clearly Kath,
but you are also so clearly Art
Simone.
I really think you should be
applauded
to be able to do that.
You clearly just love
what you do, and you just--
there's just so much joy
that comes through you
and your performance.
You've done Kath proud.
You know, I thought your
commercial
was unusual, it was...
It was a lot going on.
I was laughing a lot of the
time,
but I was still kind of like,
What the f*ck is going on right
now?
Have I taken a pill?
But there was just a little bit
too much crammed into it
to kind of keep up
with what was going on.
Etcetera Etcetera.
The harsh Australian outback
has a new flavor.
Piss.
Piss is a spread,
a fragrance,
an oven cleaner,
a powerful neurotoxin.
Piss-- it's number one,
not a number two.
Get on the Piss.
Now also available
in an ice-cold beverage.
Piss off!
Piss...
Rena:
Kia ora, Etcetera Etcetera.
I would like to see you keep
the coat on for a bit longer
so I could take all the aspects
of it in,
see the back,
see some of the other animals
and creatures on there.
Your commercial,
well, it was very pissy, wasn't
it?
It is the reason why I love
Australasia,
is because you are all demented.
I love it, because I feel
like I fit right in,
but I do feel like
there's a little bit of a line
that maybe shouldn't cross
on television.
Tonight on the runway,
you know, what I got was,
you tell a story, and I thought
that you told it well,
and it was very chic,
it was very fashion.
RuPaul: I was not a fan of your
commercial, I've gotta be
honest.
It was a little on the nose for
me.
It-- you know, it wasn't as
clever
as I would want it to be.
Up next, Scarlet Adams.
Does your nunny get noticed
for all the wrong reasons?
Ew, have you seen her beef
curtains?
-[coughing]
-If you answered, "yes,"
then tighten your tuck
with Snatch,
with yeast extracted from real
vaginas.
But Snatch can be used for
more than just your hairy clam.
Oh, I just got snatched by
Snatch.
Snatch should not be used while
pregnant.
Snatch will not work on Rhys
Nicholson's
gaping, white as*h*le.
Consult your therapist first.
If piss crossed the line, then
blown-out
p*ssy certainly does,
methinks.
Sometimes crossing the line
to filthy is not always funny.
Sometimes, it's just filthy.
Not an absolute disaster,
but I think you should be
really proud most of all
of your runway tonight.
Your makeup, your costume,
your performance,
how you presented it
was just... fantastic.
I'm so happy you did
the Priscilla thing,
because we owe so much to that
movie,
it's so ground-breaking,
and it means so much,
and you did it so well.
All right, now Scarlet,
before you leave,
there's something
we need to talk about.
It's just come to my attention
that there are photos of you
online
performing in blackface,
and I want to give you
an opportunity to address this.
Uh, I can't deny
that that happened.
As a dumb, ignorant teenager,
I made some mistakes
that I'm really not proud of,
and every day I regret those
decisions.
I regret the fact that I used
my platform as a performer
to ridicule people who've faced
systematic racism
for hundreds of years.
And I'm so ashamed
of the person that I once was.
I'm really sorry to you,
and to everyone that I have
hurt.
To know that something that I've
done
has hurt other people...
feels awful.
Now, I'm sure there are people
that would want me to cancel
you,
right here, right now,
but I'd rather this be a lesson
in humility
and accountability.
And I pray that all of us can
learn
and grow from our mistakes.
Thank you.
Ladies, you may leave the stage.
Now, just between us kangaroos,
what do you reckon?
-Elektra Shock.
-When she came in to do her
infomercial,
she knew what she wanted to do,
and she made it work,
and I know for a fact
that these girls underestimate
her,
so tonight it was a little bit
of an
"F-you" from her to the rest of
the girls.
And it was a big step forward,
and the infomercial, it was so
funny.
Everything she did was just
this kind of dead in the eyes,
like a lot of those infomercial
people
kind of are.
You know, that outfit,
not ground-breaking at all,
but the silhouette was
beautiful,
and she did something different.
And listen, she went real close
to that line of being gross.
-Michelle: Mm-hmm.
-[laughs]
But she didn't cross the line
like some of the other girls
did.
Funny
It was my favorite commercial.
You know what pulled her
through?
-What?
-"And talent."
-[laughs]
-Rena: And talent.
All right, let's move on down
to Kita Mean.
Her commercial came out really
great,
so I thought tonight was really
strong
for our two Kiwi queens.
As the audience for drag
gets younger and younger,
we do kind of lose references
like Divine,
and if just one 14-year-old girl
Googles who Divine is
and watches Pink Flamingos,
-then we have done our job!
-Michelle: Yes!
RuPaul:
It was one of my favorites,
aside from the gross parts.
All right, up next, Maxi Shield.
Michelle: In her infomercial,
she was the toughest to work
with.
The idea was that her yeast
was called Hornbag.
Didn't you want to see her
turn into a hornbag?
-Yeah!
-Yeah.
Instead, she turned into Mrs.
Slocombe
with two guys eating and petting
a kitty.
I didn't get very horny from
that.
Didn't mind the outfit,
and it was different for her.
You know, it was different
from that, sort of,
Poconos auntie that she's used--
'cause I love that.
-Live from the Concord!
-[laughs]
All right, let's move on down
to Karen From Finance.
I think when it comes to
challenges like infomercials,
she has her idea of what
Karen From Finance is,
and sometimes
doesn't move out of that.
In her name, it's so clever,
and it's so much fun,
you want her to expand
on that experience.
Now, she expanded
on that experience on the
runway.
It was camp, it was meaningful,
it was gorgeous.
I absolutely fell in love with
this,
and it's so fun when drag queens
can make a political statement
in their own way.
All right, let's move on down
to Art Simone.
Art Simone's runway was really
fun,
when she came out in the cork
hat,
and it did that kind of Billy
Porter,
where it opened up--
that was really, really fun.
In the infomercial, where Karen
didn't give us enough,
Art gave us a bit too much.
First thing you learn in
advertising,
you have to have a clear,
concise message,
and Art did not have that.
All right, up next,
Etcetera Etcetera.
In her infomercial,
you know, when she was
doing it all, I was like...
this is a bit far.
You know, I wish it was
a little more high-brow.
-Let it be Lowenbrau.
-[laughs]
Etcetera Etcetera Etcetera,
I think is another one
that could have done
with a few less etceteras.
She crossed the yellow line
with her info-commercial,
so I'll just leave it at that.
Unfortunately, it was just too
crass
and not interesting for me.
Let's move on down to Scarlet
Adams.
Rhys: I think something
happens sometimes,
if you're not confident
in your own comedy chops,
-you think filth is the way to
fill it.
-Right. Listen, I laughed,
but then she dipped into
the other side of it.
That runway look was wonderful.
Gorgeous kid,
but still a lot to learn.
All right, silence!
I've made my decision.
Bring back my girls.
Welcome back, ladies,
I've made some decisions.
Scarlet Adams.
Your Priscilla
was queen of the runway.
You are safe.
Kita Mean.
Your Yeasty Nuts were
gag-worthy.
You are safe.
Elektra Shock.
For the first time
in Drag Race Down Under
herstory,
you are about to be topped.
Con-drag-ulations, you are the
winner

What? Like, what? Me?
I won a challenge!
I don't know what I did.
You've won a luxury four-night
stay
at a Sofitel property
of your choice
in Australia or New Zealand,
and I'd like to give
a special shoutout
to the Sofitel Auckland
Viaduct Harbour.
You may join the other girls.
Thank you so much,
thank you, everyone.
Maxi Shield.
Your commercial was
too much talk and...
not enough action.
I'm sorry, my dear,
but you are up for elimination.
Art Simone.
On the runway,
you gave us two looks
for the price of one,
but we weren't buying
your yeast spread.
You're safe.
Karen From Finance.
You've been spreading
your personality a little too
thin.
The judges want more.
Etcetera Etcetera.
Your runway was high fashion,
but your commercial was
low-brow.
I'm sorry, my dear,
but you are up for elimination.
Karen From Finance, you're safe.
Thank you.
Two queens stand before me.
Ladies, this is your last chance
to impress me
and save yourself

The time has come...

"Picnic at Hanging Rock"?
More like,
get the f*ck off the stage,
I'm winning this lip sync!
