When it comes to racing,

From a standing start.

The cars have to have an actual

Engines are maxed out
At 500-cubic-inch displacement,

And anything else goes.

As long as the car weighs
At least 2,500 pounds.

I'll let aaron sort it all out
When he gets back,

But I've already got a chassis
And motor on order,

This car is a '76


They made 319 of them.

The cool thing is
It's starlight black,

And it's a non-se car.

So, of the Special-edition cars,

Most of those were
White, red, or blue.

Very few were black.

If you wanted a black one,
You got a special edition,

- so it's super rare.

I don't know if it's rarer

Sure will be happy with it.

And means it can withstand

When it hits 3,500 horsepower
At the starting line.

We want to win this thing.

We put a screw blower on,
That gives us somewhere.

In the 3,200-to-3,500-horsepower
Range to work with,

Which is a lot.

The rods and the pistons.

I don't think we can get by.

With head gaskets,

Now, normally, I would dump.

Because in performance driving,

We're often asked for more
Than what it's capable of,

But in this model, Many drivers.

Have reported great results
With the original a.B.S.

So, if it's gonna
Make me faster,

I'm definitely willing
To stick with it.

But I am spending a little more
Money on my suspension.

Than I originally budgeted,
Mainly for two reasons...

One, because parts of bmw,

Especially in the aftermarket,
Are a bit pricier,

And two, because it's
The third leg of fast...

Power, traction, and stability.

I think the extra expense
Will be worth it.
