That came as a surprise
and was a tough pill to swallow.

down on the beach.

We're running out to see who it is,

and it's Ben.

And all I am thinking about
is how relieved I am.

The longer we were on a team together,
I felt very stifled.

I felt like I couldn't do the things
that I know how to do.

And honestly, the moment…

Ben left our camp,

I felt so empowered and so confident,

and just genuinely ready
to take on everyone.

I want to talk to Leiya.

I know that this is outside of my control.

It feels like unfair gameplay,
which really sucks.

But, you know, at the end of the day,

I didn't flare out
because I couldn't take it anymore.

I was forced to flare out.

I'm not gonna lie.

The other competitors on the game board,
they're a bunch of [bleeping] narcs.

[flare pops, hissing]

[Wes] Big Ben is out of here.

[Maddy] I was not expecting Ben
to leave today.

I feel like Alpha Team has kind of had
a pretty rough shake from the get-go.

Being challenged on our location,
challenged on our equipment,

challenged on the cards
that we've just been dealt.

And it's just like one more person gone,
it makes it hard for the people who stay.

Working together,
two people can carry the weight,

collecting wood, water,
making sure we get food.

But at this point, one person on our team

has to be on guard
back at camp at all times.

So just to lose anyone on the team,
it's pretty detrimental.

Nikki's a great partner.
She's super strong.

[quick drumbeat playing]

I have a lot of faith in us as a team.

But there's a lot of stuff
Ben did for our camp.

You know, Ben cut up big logs,

and he's making trips
to go get coconuts almost every day.

And, like, Ben's ego kind of made you feel
like you couldn't do what he was doing

or that, you know,
you were kind of in his way.

But he was a helping hand.

Before we could leave camp
by two people and go split the effort.

Now it's gonna be me and Nikki.

One person stays and one person goes.

And that's a lot of energy
for one person to go do the whole run.

[drumbeat stops]

I mean, it's gonna be hard for us
to keep up with a team of four and five.

[light music plays]

We're definitely gonna need help, I think.

It's extremely important
for me to win this game.

I need this money, not just for myself,

but for everybody back home
that's counting on me.

My husband's family is Filipino,
and many of them live in the Philippines

where they live in bamboo shacks,

they don't have safe drinking water.

My husband and I want to start a nonprofit

to provide fresh, clean drinking water
to families in the Philippines.

So I think at this point
for us to survive,

we need another team member
to help us stay alive in this game.

I think right now, Leiya's kind of
the only hope that Nikki and I have

to stay in the competition.

I'm gonna try over here.

I start catching small fish.

Even though they're small,
I start to gain my confidence back.

It's a good haul.

This thing was like a gift from God.

Now I'm feeling like, with Leiya,
I really vibe with her.

I was the brains of everything.

but every time I try to do something,

To be on a team
where you feel you can't be yourself.

And Team Charlie has not cared for me
or paid any respect.

This is the time for me
to stand up for myself.

If I don't move forward,

not only is she a good person
to have on our team,

but she's a good person in general.

She's super sweet, very genuine.
Like, she has a great heart.

This move right here could ultimately be
what helps us take the cake.

I haven't had
a lot of interaction with Charlie,

so they don't know me well.

They probably don't have
a lot of trust in me.

If this goes well,

Alpha is officially at the top
of the game board, in my opinion.

But if they catch the slightest inkling
that I'm being ingenuine,

our plan is shot.
