I'm trying to play the game
with a little bit more integrity.

Taking this bow and arrow, I understand.

But taking the shoes was not something
that we agreed on.

Kinda was turned off by it.

[Abby] Nice shoes too.

[Pharaoh sighs heavily]

Morgan has stolen Leiya's shoes.

And this gives me a little bit of hope,

because Leiya is going to be
a major setback.

She's gonna be slower than everybody,
getting things in her feet.

It can be an advantage to us
later on in the game.

-Did you see the bows, though?
-I didn't see them.

But the note says we're gonna need a bow,

and we're gonna need fire
for the next day.

We have neither of those right now,

and it's gonna be very, very difficult
to make a bow out of primitive material.

It wasn't a very
high-percentage success rate,

but at least we tried.

But the note also says that
if we eliminate a player,

then we'll get one
of the supplies that we need.

So we're probably going to have
to vote somebody off of the team.

[Pharaoh] All right, well, what are we
gonna decide as a team to do right now?

-[tense strings playing]
-[sighs] I think we have to have a bow.

[Abby] I think so. That's so important.

[Morgan] From day one, Bravo, you know,
we became a family very, very fast.

And now it is sad, you know,
having to kick someone off for a bow.

It's obvious who we have to let go.

[Sarah] I already know what's coming.

I don't think if we have a bow or
a ferro rod, we're walking into a losing…

[Abby] I know. We're not gonna win at all.

I'm the expendable person of this team.

Like, I am the odd one out. Like, I am.
I'm not part of the original Bravo team.

Since we've gotten here, Sarah,

Right when I'm starting to feel
like everything's cool and dandy,

Voting Sarah off
was an extremely difficult decision.

It was really sad to let her go.

there's a lot of emotion going on.

But in a competition like this
where a million dollars is on the line,

sometimes tough decisions have to be made.

I've been out here so long.

and Maddy is supposedly
an expert bowhunting skillsman.

So we're gonna need to go over to Alpha
and try to make a trade.

two mature coconuts from Team Charlie.

me being a professional athlete,

I know hydration
and sleep is super key, so.

on this makeshift bow.

cut the cord on a member of Team Charlie.

If I had to make the choice,
I would keep Buddy,

who can pretty much
make anything out of anything.

I'd possibly lean a bit more
towards Braxton.

Me and Wes do have families.

I have a baby on the way.

is extremely appealing.

I would be able to live more comfortably,

travel where I want to,
start some business ideas.

But right now,
I'm kind of a little bit in debt.

I feel like on Charlie,
she was like a beaten-down puppy.

Like, scared to talk
and extremely underestimated.

Leiya has it in her.

I think she's been through so much.

I think she's an insanely strong woman,
and I know that she can do this.

However, they are still short

Without a ferro rod, Bravo's only way
to start a fire is through friction.

This primitive method
is not only difficult…

but it can take
an extraordinary amount of time.

We started with the ferro rods,

and then we'll be going into this
with a fire saw.

Like, I'm drenched in sweat right now.

For most of this game, Team Bravo
has kind of felt like we were on top.

Like, we've been eating a lot,
being hydrated by our magical spring.

The fact that
everyone will have a ferro rod

and I'll be doing the bamboo fire saw is…

[Abby] We will be
at a disadvantage for sure.

But today was one of the first times

that we felt like we don't have
everything that we need.

And so I know that we need
to be making desperate moves

so that we can be on the same
playing field as both Alpha and Charlie.

If you don't think
that you can do a fire saw…

It's not even that I don't think
that I can do it, because I think I can…

[Abby] Just not in enough time.

I'm competing
with people using ferro rods.

Pharaoh is the best at fire,
I think, out on this island,

out of any of the teams.

So if he's worried about
getting a fire started with the fire saw,

at our team, what would you do?

[Abby] I mean, I'm thinking

that maybe we should get rid of Morgan
to get the ferro rod.

It's very, very difficult
to have to vote a real person out

who's been with you
from the very beginning.

She has been an asset to the team.

That's why this is so hard.

But my strategy is still

to get to the end of the game
with only two people.

So I'm hoping that this big decision

will get us to the end of the game
and get us that million dollars.

I think to give us a chance,
we have to do it.

I would be very frustrated if I lost this
because I didn't make this decision.

has their standard as far as how

far they're willing to go
to win this game.

to be honest with who you are as a person.

We've had some practice runs
with the makeshift bow that Brett made.

I'm feeling very comfortable sh**ting her.

We didn't even bother making a second bow
because we're confident it'll do the job.

Where you at, smoke?

[narrator] At Alpha camp,
Leiya improvises a pair of shoes.

Hers were stolen by Bravo team
just the day before.

You're a champion
for what you're doing with the shoes.

Literally. They're tied off good, right?
They're not gonna come untied?

We can't stop for you to retie them.

I'm not stopping. If my feet's bleeding
and cut open, I'm gonna keep pushing.

I know that Bravo
is in extreme desperation,

but I believe that teams
that decide to be bullies

and play dirty, it's never gonna
work out for them in the end.

-[Nikki] How's everyone feeling?
-I feel like I want to throw up.

Do it after. [laughs]

[ambient forest sounds]

-[thunder rumbling]
-[eerie tones warbling]

There it is. It's showtime.

-[upbeat music plays]
-[Brett] Oh, I see smoke.

-Smoke? I think it's game time.
-Yeah, I think it's go time.

[upbeat music continues]

Guys, the smoke.

[narrator] The game's
next waypoint is revealed,



-We made some tough decisions yesterday.
-Yeah.

Now we gotta follow through
and do our thing.

-[both] Let's make it count.
-[Abby] All right.

We got a long trek again.

[Nikki] That's okay, though.
We got this, guys. We got this.

[Brett] Big old orange smoke
way down the beach.

[Wes] Storm's coming. We the storm.

[Brett] Oh yeah.
We about to rain on their parade.

[dynamic percussion music playing]

[Nikki] This game has shown me
there's three groups of people.

There are people that come in,
and they're bullies.

Whether or not
they put on a nice face about it,

they are bullies, and they are mean.

And at their core,
that's just what they do, good or bad.

And then there's the group that pretends
that they're nice and kind.

And the moment things get hard,

they immediately turn
to being sneaky, conniving, stealing,

and turning their back on their word

when they agreed
to play a clean game with someone.

Then there's the group that
it doesn't matter how hard it is,

they're showing up with integrity,

and they're showing up committed
to who they want to be and who they are.

We don't know
what we're about to walk into.

We don't know
what this challenge truly is.

What we do know is we're more prepared
than anyone else on this game board,

and at the end of this, we're going
to be taking home that million dollars.

[dynamic music fades out]

[dramatic music rises]

[Braxton] There's the smoke.

[Brett] We're ready.

[Braxton] Looks like
there's a crate behind it too.

[Brett] Oh, yeah. Look at that.

-[Braxton] All targets set up.
-[Brett] Bunch of arrows.

-Here, I got the note.
-[Brett] See what she says.

"All three teams
have made it this far in the game."

"Only two will be moving on
to the final leg to Outlast."

-[Brett] Oh sh*t.
-[Maddy] Oh my God.

So this is to eliminate
a full team on this game board.

Right on.

"Use the provided materials
to build a fire. Once your flame is lit,

ignite an arrow
and take your shot at your flag."

"You must only ignite
and fire one arrow at a time."

"The last team to ignite
their flag will not move on

and will flare out of the game."

"Begin creating your flame
when the smoke signal rises."

This is huge.
Like, this eliminates an entire team.

So the stakes are high.
We can't afford to lose this.

Well, may the best two teams win.

-Hell yeah.
-[Wes] Right on.

[Abby] Good luck, guys.
Let's get over there.

All right.
So we got the things for the fire.

-They got this sh*t.
-[Wes] Kindling. Okay.

[Braxton] Big target. Definitely far.

But that's exactly
what we've been practicing.

Everything is on the line today.

-Wes is our archer.
-[whooshing]

And Buddy and I are going to
start that fire as quickly as we can

so that we are able to light those arrows
as fast as possible for Wes.

[Abby] We finally got a bow.

-That's what we've been waiting for.
-Here's your ferro rod. Yes, finally.

[narrator] While all three teams
have identical ferro rods

and fire-starting materials,

Charlie team's bow,
made from simple sticks and rope,

puts them at a clear disadvantage
against Alpha and Bravo's recurve bows.

We had to flare out two players
in order to get a bow and the ferro rod

to have a fighting chance
in this competition.

So there's a lot of pressure on me
and Pharaoh to win this thing

and make the sacrifice worthwhile.

-Looking at about 45 yards. You got that.
-Yeah.

We got this.

[quietly] Bravo looks nervous.

Mm-hmm. They should be.

[Leiya] Abby gave me the stinkeye.

[laughs quietly]

Leiya is very confident
in her fire-making ability.

She has trained for this.
She's gonna be making the fire.

Nikki is going to run the arrows
back and forth,

and I am going to sh**t the flag.

You focus on the little one. I'll get
some stuff out of the way, make a teepee.

When you make a teepee,
make the opening facing that way.

-Oh!
-[siren wails]

[Team Alpha] There's smoke.

-[Braxton] There's smoke, yeah.
-[Brett] It's go time.

[Wes] Let's go, fellas.

[intense drumbeat playing]

Put some more sawdust on that thing.

Outside of the game,
I am a mounted archer,

so I am pretty good when it comes to aim.

But it's a little bit harder
having a flame at the end of that arrow.

[splashing]

As you're taking
that moment to actually aim,

the flames are basically
burning the side of your finger.

[arrow whizzing, splashes]

-Crap. A bit closer.

Ow.

[low thrumming]

[Abby] Oh God.

-[Maddy] Come on, you guys.

[Wes] Saw that flame.

Alpha still ain't got theirs started.

Although my heart is kind of racing,
and I'm focused on the task at hand,

the other teams beside me.

Alpha has no fire at all,
and they're still struggling.

It shouldn't take this long.

-[Wes] Abby is three or four shots in.

But I can't really worry about that much.
I only can focus on what I can control,

and know that my team is doing
what's necessary for us to win.

And I'll do my part.

[Nikki blowing gently]

[Maddy] Everybody has started
sh**ting at their flag.

I'm still waiting on fire.

And it's starting to occur to me that,
like, Alpha is last in this challenge.

There's something going on
with the material. Also, the wind.

[Maddy] Leiya has made fire
at our camp multiple times.

I'm not grasping
what is going on over there.

We're getting lots of sparks,
and it's just not igniting.

instead of doing it super fast.

[arrow whizzing]

All it takes is for one arrow
to hit that flag,

and we're out of this game.

-[Wes] This gonna be the one.
-It's gonna be the one. I can feel it.

-[Leiya] Um…
-Embers! Go. Get it.

[blowing gently]
