Wynn Las Vegas.
The only problem is,
I haven't built the car
that's going to go
to that.
Turns out that the next CF1
coming out of my shop
is going to be the perfect fit
for this show.

have entrusted me to perfect
their color decision.
So, what I'm hoping to do,
I have three different
reds here.
I've got a much more
bright red,
I've got a medium red,
which is a little bit more
on the,
I guess, what I would
call, the tomato side.
And then, I have a darker,
more brown burgundy-ish.
And I really like this.
I know that I'm going to go
with this color right here.
I just really love it,
and I have-- I've used these
enough times.
But I think that
this is really the color
that I'd like to do
on the interior.
And I know that Don and Terry
really want something
that's kind of elegant.
And I know that Don and Terry

They have a nice
car collection with some
really pretty stuff in there.
Definitely want to do silver.
This brownish red color
interior would look beautiful
with a silver color.
But what color of silver?
Trying to go with something
that's not super
bright silver,
like the Karmann Ghia
with a really bright
red leather.
I want to do something
that's a little bit more
European and vintage.
Maybe, something along
what would be on,
like, an Aston Martin.
And this one really just keeps
catching my eye.
And if it's too dark,
it might be too much.
If it's too light, it might
look like it's already been
done before.

a bad combination.
This has a lot
of gold undertones.
Uh, we call it Bubbly.
This is a beautiful color.
It's a nice combination, too.
It might not get a bad one.
This one's just more
of a medium silver.
Really fine pearl.
And again, it's very elegant.
But I'm looking for something
that's just a little bit
more cool.
I think this coarse
cha-ching silver.
It's not charcoal
and I don't want
a charcoal gray.
I want to do something
that's still bright
but shows off
all the body lines...
and has this deeper and darker
brownish red.

that I've never used before.

is a really good fit
for that particular

it's kind of all encompassing,

of the cars. Very rare,
early cars.
And this one, in particular,
I think just has...

It has great heritage, uh,
from the original cars
and, uh, you know, I think
it's going to fit in really,
really well.
Now that this is on paper,
I think the colors are going
to work so well.
So, overall, I am extremely
happy with the way
that the car is looking.

A debut of a Concours
d'Elegance vehicle
on the Wynn Golf Course,
the week before SEMA.
Stop.
We're going to mix up
the body color
for the CF1 number five.
A little bit on the silver
grayish side.
I think it's going to be
a really beautiful color.
With both fine
and medium pearls
in this color,
cha-ching silver
is the perfect shade
and will make this car
look beautiful.

toners depending on what
you're making.
Using all of the toners
to the exact specifications
of what's been put into
the original recipe
is important.
There's just lots
of variations into making...
pretty much any color
that you want.
This one has one, two, three,
four, five,
plus a connector
and the reducer.
It's quite a bit that goes
into it.
You always want to make sure
you're dead on when it comes
down to how many grams
you put in.
If you go over or under,
the color can variate.
If you go over or under,

And then, you go to mix up
some more and your color
is off.
There's several
toners that make
this cha-ching silver,
and it has to be spot on,
otherwise you might be
a fraction of a shade off
and that wouldn't be good.
Here we go. That's the color
we got for the CF1
number five.

technical crap.
Let's get to the putting
the paint on the car.
Let do it.
You know, sometimes
from the outside looking in,
it looks like it might be very
simple to actually apply
the paint.
But you know what?
You'd be wrong to assume that.
It takes a very talented crew
to prep the car properly,
to have it perfectly cleaned,
to apply the paint properly
in the right steps
with the right sealer colors
and of course, putting
the clear coat on perfectly
and of course, putting
the clear coat on perfectly
and stacking it the way
we like to,
so, we can cut it down,
make it perfectly flat.
Sounds like it was easy?
Not now.

The frame is here.
Now, it's time to put
the suspension on.
The process hasn't changed
since the first one,
so, it should probably go up
pretty fast.
We can get this stuff
buttoned up,
we're gonna throw
this spindles on it.
Put the engine and trans in,
and then start on all
of our hard lines.
The chassis is all
assembled and ready
to accept the body.
And this always makes
me a little bit nervous
because these bodies
fit pretty tight to the sides
of the frame.

The bodies on these
cars are extremely light.
It doesn't always play
in our advantage.
Sometimes we need a little bit
of weight to kind of keep
it on the lift.
If somebody runs into
this thing, it can fall
right off.

Now, all we have to do
is roll the frame in here
and put the two together.

This is an easy fix.

of the four by fours.
So, we started using these
four by fours on these bodies
to spread the load
across the body,
which works excellent.
