No, no, because the past and the futureare happening here now in the present.

It's all a question of perception.I thought dogs knew stuff like that.

[murmuring]

Hey, Sprocket, why don't you go in?

-[chuckles]-[barks]

Now, why don't I press one of the buttons,the one marked "Not too distant future."

-[electricity crackling]-[whimpering]

[barking]

-[howling]-[door opens, closes]

-[beep]-[crackling stops]

Sprocket,where have you been all these years?

[Boober] Oh, Mokey, do we have to?I-- I feel silly.

-Yeah, you look silly too. [laughs]-Wembley.

[Mokey] Boober, come on.

You promised you'd be in my new play,A Legend Called Blundig.

-Blundig.-Blundig.

Now, I am Blundig.Boober, you're Ruffchin.

-Ruffchin.-Wembley, you are Noneck.

But Mokey, what has your play got to dowith going to some scary cave

dressed in silly robes?

Well, Boober, according to my research,

this is the very cave in which Blundig,great and wondrous leader,

suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

-Wow. Poof.-Mm-hmm.

-It's the perfect place to rehearse.-Perfect.

-Ooh! I forgot of one thing.-Ooh, what?

Let's see now.You two have to wear... these.

-[gasps]-This is for you.

-Oh, wow.-And this is for you.

-Thank you.-Oh, Mokey, do we have to?

Oh, yes you do, Boober. You see, Blundiglived at a time when Fraggles were bald.

-Uh-huh.-They all wore hats in order to keep warm.

-Oh!-Yes.

[Mokey] Shh. We're in the Sacred Cave now,so be serious, okay?

[Boober] Oh, seriously, Mokey,I don't wanna do this.

-Mokey? Who's Mokey?-Huh?

I am Blundig, great and wondrous leaderof the Fraggles who were bald.

-Mokey. Mokey. Look at that weird drawing.-[all gasp]

-[Mokey] Look at that.-[Wembley] Wow.

Oh, Boober, that's not weird.

It's wonderful, mysteriousand somehow familiar.

I think it looks like a Fragglewith lots of hair.

Spriglette, please.This is no time for flooburps.

What are you saying?

Well, Blundig lived in a timewhen Fraggles were bald.

She talked funny. [giggles]

Well, I live in a timewhen Fraggles are scared, and I'm leaving.

-Oh, Boober. Boober...-Oh.

Please, no, Boober. I-- I know Fragglesdon't tell each other what to do,

Okay. Now we must formthe sacred boomadoom.

-[Boober sighs]-[all chanting]

[chanting continues]

-[Boober] Oh, my gosh.-[Wembley coughing] Oh.

[Mokey] What happened?

[Boober] I'm sorry, Mokey.I'm getting out of here.

[Wembley gasps] Look!

-That weird drawing. It's gone!-[Boober gasps]

-It is. That's funny.-No, it's not. Goodbye.

-Listen.-[chanting in distance]

-[Mokey gasps]-What's that?

It sounds like-- like "Hooba ookaban."

-It must be the others rehearsing, but...-Wow.

...I don't remember writing"Hooba ookaban."

-Whoa.-Well...

[Wembley] Well...

[all chanting]Hooba oogabong! Hooba oogabong!

[shrieks, laughs]

Yaba-yaba-yaba-yow!

-[chanting continues]-Ooga-waga-waga-waga!

Well, Boober,it didn't use to be, but, uh,

the creative processis a very strange thing.

But, uh, what are they doing?

-Stop.-Fishface say stop!

[chanting stops]

-Run.-Fishface say run!

[all chattering]

-Are you seeing what I'm seeing?-If it's totally crazy, yes.

-What's going on?-Look.

[crash]

It Blundig.

-[all gasp]-What?

-[slow drumbeat]-[all] Hooba.
-[slow drumbeat]-[all] Hooba.

She comes. At last she comes to rule us.

[grumbles]

[grunts] But I rule here.

It cannot be her. She just a legend.

-Hooba. [chuckles]-[both grunt]

Oh. Oh, my goodness gracious. Hmm.

-Are you Blundig?-[shrieks] Y-Yeah. Yeah, yeah.

-Well, uh... Yes. Yes, I am. I mean, I---Hooba, Blundig,

great and wondrous leader.I wait all my life for this moment.

-Hooba, Hooba, Hoo---Oh-- [chuckles]

Uh, Hooba to you too.

-We're dreaming, right?-Where's Red? Where's Gobo?

-"Gobo"? Did you say "Gobo"?-[all groaning]

[all] Oh, no!

-[stammering] What's wrong with them?-What isn't?

-You utter sacred word.-[shivering]

[whimpers] But all I said was,"Where's Red? Where's Gobo?"

-[clamoring]-Oh, no!

Oh. [chuckles]

No, that's not a sacred word.That's just, uh, Gobo's name.

-[all] Gobo!-[clamoring]

Uh, I think we better get out of here.

Good idea. [chuckles nervously]

Whoa. Not so fast, you two. Look!

[all shivering]

You said "Gobo.""Gobo" mean "Take off your hat."

That is right, so we take hats off to you,

even though it cold enoughto freeze heads.

Uh, the evidence is all in.This is neither a play nor a dream.

-[shivering]-They're all bald.

-Bald?-Bald.

Oh!

-Are you two thinking what I'm thinking?-Well, are you--

-Uh---[yelps]

Anybody know a good barber?

-We're in the wrong time.-[all chanting] Hooba oogabong!

-[screams]-Hooba oogabong!

[Boober] Hooba.

Oh, yes, Sprocket, many thingshave changed

since you stepped into that time machinelo these many years ago.

For one thing, Shimmelfinneyand his cat, Fluffinella, moved away.

Well, goodbye, Sprocket,and thanks for coming back.

[mutters]

I don't believe it. Why,we are actually back in the time

-when Fraggles were bald.-[both whimpering]

-Mokey, I'm scared.-Well, uh, me too.

Oh, come on, you guys. Just calm down.

I am sure if we just tell 'emwhat happened, they'll help us out.

-Oh, yeah.-Huh?

-Oh.-[yelps]

-Oh, hi, Fishface.-Hi, Fishface.

[nervous laughter]

Legend say one day great Blundigcome to rule Fraggles.

-Uh...-So you have come?

-[chuckles]-Uh...
-[chuckles]-Uh...

That means I am no longergreat and wondrous leader.

[all coughing]

Um, uh, yeah. What exactly would happenif I were not Blundig?

Oh?

We tie you to rock for trying to fool us.

-[all gasp]-[growls]

-Foolabool!-[drums beating]

-[all] Foolabool!-Don't-- Don't worry.

-She's Blundig, all right.-[Wembley] Yes, yes. Yeah.

-Yeah.-Doomba.

-Yeah, yeah.-Yeah, uh, boomboom.

[Fraggle laughing]

-What was that?-Noodlenose. He laugh.

Did you hear what they said?

Well, we were just trying tospeak the language.

-Yeah.-Mokey, what did we say?

-What did we say?-Ooh, uh... Let's see, uh...

-[Boober] Oh, stop it.-Yeah, uh...

According to my research,

uh, "doomba" means, uh, "breakfast"

-and, uh, "boomboom" means "hat rack."-[Noodlenose chuckles]

-Well, what's so funny about that?-It's your accent. [laughs]

Uh... Just, uh, consultingthe, uh-- the, uh, legendary, uh...

It says, "The great Blundig causedthe sacred boulders to be moved."

-It just doesn't say how.-Oh, too bad.

[sighs] Oh, well.I'll just have to do the best I can.

No, no, wait. Please wait.You see, we are from the future.

Yes, yes. This is Boober,that's Wembley and I'm Mokey.

[clamoring]

-[chuckling]-Huh?

You know as well as I dothat Mokey is not a name.

-[chattering]-It's not?

Mokey means "Put on your hat."

And Wembley mean"No scratch nose in public."

-Really?-And you know what Boober mean?

-[clamoring]-[Mokey] No! No!

-[laughs]-[Wembley, Boober grunting]

[laughs]

[groans] What is the matter with that guy?

We're tied up in a cavein the middle of nowhere,

some time in the distant past,and he's hysterical.

Oh, I can't help it. I love to laugh.That's why I'm here.

But what about you?

-Who?-Well, aren't you the great Blundig?

-Oh, boy.-Oh. [chuckles] Yeah, sort of.

Uh, actually, not really,but when you get right down to it,

Oh, I see. Impersonating a legend.

Almost as heinous a crime as laughing.

-[Mokey groans]-Hey.

Hey, this-- this cave is like...

-It's like Gobo's and my room.-Huh?

Oh, yeah.

Uh, look... [stammers]That's where our beds will be.

-Mm-hmm.-Our beds.

And that's the nookwhere we'll build our fire.

If-- If I ever get back to get some wood.

[all grunting]

-Harder!-Push harder.

-[all straining]-[Wembley groans]

-[Mokey] It's useless.-[all panting]

[Boober] Darn it.

[all groaning]

I'm sorry, you guys. It's all my fault.

-Oh. No, it's not.-Oh.

-Yes, it is.-[crying]

[sighs]

-Of course. That's it.-Huh?

We have been so silly.

-Us?-Us?

-Yes.-Huh.

We had had our hats on the whole time.All we have to do is take them off,

show we have hair,and they'll know we're from the future.

But let me remind you that if they seeour hair, we will be banished forever.

-Oh.-Boober, what do you think this is?

Excuse me for interrupting,but did I hear you say that you have hair?

-Uh-huh.-Could I see it? I need a good laugh.

-[laughs]-Yeah, uh, well,

-[all laughing]-Ah. Wembley.

-Jump.-Fishface say jump.

We just went gobo.

[all murmuring] Gobo?

-[yelps]-[all screaming]

[all laughing]

She made Fishface laughand the sacred boulders move.

-Well...-Hooba, Blundig...

-Yes, well---Great and wondrous leader.

-Yes, uh, Hooba.-Hooba.

-Thank you. Thank you.-[all chanting] Hooba.

Forget it, Fishface.Ancient prophecy is fulfilled.

-[laughs]-No!

You see, we each lead ourselves,and we all lead each other.

[giggles] This will give that old Fishfacesomething legendary to remember us by.

-Now we can go home at last.-Yes.

Mokey, please. I just saywe form the boomadoom and go home.

[coughing]

-[chuckles]-Red, hon.

We've been looking all over for you guys.

Everybody's waiting to seethis play of yours.

-We only came out here to rehearse...-[Gobo] Yeah?

And not only did Ithrow out all your dog food,

but I gave away your favorite dog bone.

You really don't want to go backin that time machine,

go back to the timewhen I didn't have a beard?

Mm-mmm.

Okay, Sprocket, I give up.

-This is not really the future.-[gasps]

[murmuring]

-[laughing]-When did you know?

[imitates slurping]

[chuckles] Well, serves me rightfor messing around with time machines.

Who needs them anyway?I can see the future right now.

I see a man, his dog, a cup of teaand not a beard in sight.
