Tonight, a new season of Big Brother
begins.
From music to fashion
to social media trends,
there's no denying that
nostalgia is everywhere.
Seems like everyone has a thirst for the
past.
And this summer, so does Big Brother.
What does that mean?
Well, a new group of strangers from across
the country are about to find out as they
move into the Big Brother house and are
sent on the adventure of a lifetime.
All summer long, they'll navigate this
time-bending journey cut off from the
outside world.
No cell phones, no social media,
no contact with friends or loved ones.
While inside the BB bubble, these 94
cameras will record their every move.
And these 113 microphones will capture
their every word, unless they are
whispering so quietly that we can't hear
them.
But don't worry, we have subtitles.
So, who will endure this
strategy and emerge to
claim the $750,000 grand prize?
Only time will tell.
Welcome to the season premiere of Big
Brother.
Summer has officially begun.
Good evening, I'm Julie Chen Moonves.
In just moments, 14 complete
strangers will move into the
Big Brother house and
begin the journey of a lifetime.
For the next 87 days, they'll experience a
Big Brother like never before as
challenges and twists will
send them to the past and
the future in something
we call the BB Time Trip.
Trust me when I say it's going to be
historic.
In fact, later this summer, Big Brother
will reach its 1,000th episode,
making it the first primetime series to
reach this incredible milestone.
But first, before this journey can begin,
you need to meet the house guests.
Here are the women.
Hi, I'm Ashley.
Or not hi.
Okay, here we go.
My name is Ashley and I'm a 24-year-old
Chicago...
Oh my gosh, sorry!
I'm Ashley, I'm 24 years old and I live in
Chicago, Illinois.
I grew up in Alton,
Illinois, which is quite
literally a tinkety tiny
little cornfield town.
I am, in fact, a bartender.
It's so much fun.
I'm making friends and I basically feel
like I'm having a night out.
Why is this not everybody's job as a
I'm a huge fan of Big Brother.
I've been watching it ever since I was a
little girl.
Whenever I watch that wall comp, I'm
like, I can't wait to get my hands on that.
I will win Big Brother because I have $2
to my name and I need to fix that stat.
I'm very outgoing.
So I'm definitely going to be a threat in
this game.
Socially, duh.
People usually assume that I'm completely
airhead.
Did something in the noggin.
I'm going to use that to
my advantage in the game
by making people perceive
me as not threatening.
She's not a threat.
Oh, babes.
Oh, I can't wait to lie and manipulate
you.
My name is Latrice and I'm a saleswoman
from Maplewood, New Jersey.
I actually run a store on the Upper East
Side of Manhattan.
What makes me a good saleswoman is that
I'm honest.
Baby, I don't want you
walking out of my store with
something that's not
going to look good on you.
I love fashion, but my number one hobby is
working out.
I love working out and I'm training for a
bodybuilding competition.
I started out bodybuilding when I was 19.
I was working out to the point where I
couldn't touch my nose.
So I was, like, jacked.
There are a lot of common misconceptions
about me because I don't look my age.
I'm 57 turning 58 and I'm in the best
motherfrickin' shape of my life.
People say, oh my gosh, you have four
kids.
You don't look like you have...
What do you look like when you have four
kids?
I mean, I don't know, but...
I am going to be a fierce competitor
physically and mentally.
Booty time!
I will pop off those press-on nails that
I'm going to have and hold on to a wall,
baby.
Okay, hit me with the water.
I'm about to steamroll these suckers.
They don't even know what's in them.
Aloha, my name is Lyric and I'm from
Honolulu, Hawaii.
I work at a luau show at night.
I introduce the hula dancers and I sing a
lot of songs.
I also like to post on social media.
I have a community of over a million
people.
A lot of people underestimate me when they
first meet me.
They're not going to think you're smart,
Lyric.
Thanks, Mom.
I'm bubbly, I'm a Princess, but I'm also
extremely hardworking.
I went to the University of Notre Dame.
Go Irish!
I graduated in three years, one year early
with a double major and a minor.
I just wanted to check on the hearings for
this morning.
When I went into law school, there were a
lot of doubters.
But guess what?
I was the youngest to pass the bar here in
Hawaii at age 23.
So if you could have the
case files ready so that I can
review them before I have to
appear before the judge at 1.
I practice eviction law,
and so I'm not afraid
to do evictions in
the Big Brother house.
Case closed.
Your Honor, it's over.
I won.
Oh my gosh, I'm going to Big Brother!
I'm going to the Big Brother!
My name is Melody, I'm 24, and I am a
corporate game show host from Phoenix,
Arizona.
We're going to roll the dice to guess that
prize.
I'm dealing with a lot
of bachelorette parties,
like 9 to 5 corporate
people doing team bonding.
What I've learned about myself doing the
game show job is that I am very quick on
my feet, and I know how to just control a
house.
Come on down here, let's have you spin the
wheel.
The confidence that I have now definitely
came from my childhood struggles.
I had really bad acne, I had braces,
I had glasses, and I got bullied.
And within like a year,
it was like a 90s movie,
I like, you know, got all
pretty and life changed.
Growing up, I was an only child with a
single mom, and I'm a big fan of Big Brother.
My mom will tell you that I've been
watching since I was in her womb.
I will win Big Brother
because when I am put up
against a wall, I always
rise to the occasion.
Big Brother, I'm coming for you,
and I'm going to win this game!
My name is Haley, and I'm from Wildwood,
Missouri.
Come on, get to it in there.
Well, if you'd freaking
throw it a little bit
better, I wouldn't have
to bend over so far.
Growing up, my dad put me
in every sport, and I ended up
playing Division I softball
at Southeast Missouri State.
I loved playing softball because I was the
pitcher.
I get to dominate the entire field,
I get to command everything.
What was I like coaching you as a kid?
You were very stubborn.
I was pretty ruthless as a pitcher.
If I needed to hit a batter, I would hit a
batter.
That sounds so bad.
My dating life is non-existent.
I would say men are
usually intimidated by me
because I am athletic,
but I do have a softer side.
Once a week, I volunteer at a farm.
I love grooming horses
because it's peaceful, and it's
so cute to watch all the
horses roll around in the dirt.
I feel like my entire life has prepared me
to win Big Brother because as a Division I
athlete, I'm super
competitive, and I am very
dominant, and I'm going
to come out with a bang.
Oh my gosh, I'm going to win Big Brother!
This is a dream come true!
I'm Taylor.
I'm 27 years old.
I'm an elementary school counselor,
and I'm from Deerfield Beach, Florida.
A school counselor is a lot of work.
It feels like you're
putting out little fires all
day, but it is my way to
give back to my community.
What's your strategy going to be?
I think my strategy is to play everybody
against each other.
I like that.
I like that.
Kind of like how I do men.
I am attracted to a goal-oriented man.
Michael B.
Jordan is a great description of a man.
Barack Obama.
I actually love Ian.
I think Ian is the cutest thing ever.
I will be a threat in this game because
I'm that girl.
I'm a social butterfly.
I make people feel comfortable.
I make people happy.
I'm going to be your sunny South Florida
educator who's going to take it all.
My name is Mallory, and I'm
a 24-year-old rocket scientist,
and I'm from the township
of Washington, New Jersey.
We use this to test for radiation.
I went to school for aerospace
engineering, and while I was in college,
I had this job with NASA.
So, I'm like a huge space nerd.
This is my space bag.
This is my makeup bag.
This is my rocket plushie.
Yeah, I love a lot of space-themed things.
I think people imagine a
rocket scientist as someone
very serious, but I love to
plan little themed parties.
Dinosaurs in Hawaii!
Woo!
Also, I think people would
be both surprised that I
have a toughness about
me that doesn't meet the eye.
I have the type of strength and
athleticism people wouldn't even realize.
You think you're going to go for that
first HOH?
I think I am going to go for the first
HOH.
I'm going to do whatever it takes to win
if I have to.
So, I think that's going to make me a
pretty big threat in the game.
It's time to blast off.
Next up, Big Brother!
Woo!
Welcome to Big Brother.
Are you ready for a summer you'll never
forget?
Yeah!
Well, I can promise you, you are about to
embark on a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
You will soon enter a social experiment
where cutthroat strategy, over-the-top
challenges, and the ridiculous all
collide.
Now, as you can all see, there are only
women on stage right now.
It's an all-women season!
Yeah, I'm just kidding.
That means we need to add some men to the
mix.
And you'll meet them in just a few
moments.
When we return, it's time to meet the men.
Then, everyone moves into the Big Brother
house and it's game on.
Stay with us.
Welcome back to the season premiere of Big
Brother.
I'm standing outside of the house with the
women of BB.
But where are the men?
Well, here's a sneak peek for the viewers
only.
Ladies, you'll get to see them when they
join you on stage.
Here are the men of Big Brother.
Oh my God!
Are you serious?
What?
How are you kidding me?
I'm Kamuela.
I'm 32 years old.
I was a professional MMA fighter in the
UFC.
Things that are most important to me in my
life would be God and family.
I am very, very close with my siblings,
very close with my parents.
My mom's side is from Jamaica.
I was born in Hawaii.
My nickname in MMA is The Jawian.
I turned pro when I was about 20.
When I was 14 years old, my family opened
up this MMA gym.
I coach here.
I'm part owner.
And it's been incredibly rewarding,
incredibly fulfilling.
People usually assume that I'm a mean,
rough-around-the-edges type of guy.
But I'm an artist.
I love aesthetics.
And I think that that's why I love to
paint.
Because I have a vision
in my head of what I want
things to look like and I
love to bring that to life.
I started watching Big Brother,
season 14.
And I haven't missed a season since.
I'm very, very competitive.
This might sound crazy,
but more than the $750,000,
I care about the title of
being Big Brother champion.
Money comes and goes.
Being a Big Brother winner lasts forever.
What's up?
I'm Drew.
I'm 22 years old and I'm a surgical dental
assistant from Temecula, California.
Matthew has a lower right pain in his
tooth and I took a quick X-ray of it.
Growing up, my teeth were pretty messed
up.
But luckily, I got braces
and I experienced firsthand
what good dental work can
do for someone's confidence.
People assume that I'm
not very smart because,
I mean, I sound like
I'm a SoCal bum, dude.
But I actually graduated college with a
summa c*m laude.
I don't even know what that means.
What are you doing?
It's the masa, not me.
No!
I'm a huge fan of Big Brother,
man.
I've been watching this show since I've
been 8 years old.
My mom's an immigrant from Mexico.
And my mom actually learned how to speak
English watching this show.
You always do this because you want to get
out of the job.
And that pisses me off.
My strategy going in there is to win some
competitions.
I don't want to throw anything.
That's how you get control in this game.
If a showmance comes my way, I'm not going
to say no.
I'm not going to look for it.
Maybe a little bit.
I think I'm going to be super
underestimated.
People are going to be like, look at this
kid.
Probably not even that smart, not even
that athletic.
And people are just going to be completely
taken back by the way I control this game.
My name is Jason.
I'm 35 years old and I live in Los
Angeles.
Yes, keep going.
Don't stop.
My hobbies are working out, you know,
hanging out with friends.
And of course, my drag!
Let me see you throw some a*s!
Come on!
My drag name is Salina.
Hey, hey, hey, hey!
People recognize me from a little show
called RuPaul's Drag Race.
I played hard and it did not work out for
me in the end.
Jealous b*tches!
Alright, dad!
Can you zip me up?
Drag is a very athletic sport.
People don't realize it takes a lot to be
doing all the things that I do in heels,
mind you.
You gotta hide the man.
I'm never falling off the wall!
I never let go!
I am a Big Brother fan.
I think my strategy going into the game is
really connecting with them as people.
Although, there will be lies and
deceptions.
Salina's had her time in the spotlight.
In the Big Brother house, Jason's gonna
take the lead.
But that doesn't mean Salina's far away.
No way!
Oh my god!
I'm Rome.
I'm 28 years old.
I'm from Traverse City, Michigan.
And I currently live in Delray Beach,
Florida.
I grew up as the number
one tennis player in
Northern Michigan when I
was a senior in high school.
Then I decided to try and play pro for a
little bit.
Kind of aged out of it.
I played pro pickleball for about a year.
Loved it.
So now I coach.
Push all the way out.
So some of the ladies that I teach tend to
get a little flirtatious with me.
And sometimes I lean into it.
Hi, can you do that?
Yes, thanks Rome.
You're the best.
Thank you.
You know, I gotta get people coming back
and taking lessons with me.
Hi mom!
Hi buddy!
I'm from Northern Michigan, so I'm
midwestern hospitality to the core.
We hold doors, we say hi, and we're very
nice all the way around.
You are a Michigan boy.
Can I be a Michigan man at least now?
I'm 28.
Okay, right.
As a competitor, I'm one of the biggest
trash talkers you'll ever meet.
You're stronger than that.
I'm looking to get in my opponent's head
before we even start the challenge.
If I'm mentally there, I've already won.
I'm coming for you, Big Brother House.
My name's Barrett, and I'm a 27-year-old
Jumbotron engineer in Austin, Texas.
There's a lot of places that I can be on
any given day.
You'll find me in your favorite sports
teams, arenas, your football fields,
high up in the air.
I'm the guy that they send up there to fix
the things.
I'm definitely the black sheep of my
family.
I grew up in an athletic family, but I
always have a creative side about me.
The social game has to be key.
You've been preparing for years.
I am a huge fan of Big Brother,
and that might be an understatement.
My favorite past house guest, Brittany
Haynes.
Also, Angela Murray.
I could go on and on, but those are
definitely some of my favorites.
Oh yeah, what is your shoe size?
I mean, being 6'6", all I can wear is 13
and up.
I know when I walk into a room,
people are going to be like...
And I have to work around that very
quickly.
But I think my best asset going into the
game will be my ability to talk to people.
I'm going to make everybody my best friend
in this house.
And before they know it, they're going to
drag me all the way to that finale and not
realize the horrible mistake that they
just made.
My name is Chuck.
I'm 27 years old.
I'm from Dallas, Texas, and I'm a supply
chain analyst.
Growing up in a Nigerian household in
Dallas, Texas, it is one word.
It is loud.
I have four sisters.
I'm the literally only boy in the house.
I grew up around all women who are just
nothing but brutally honest.
I had the thickest skin growing up with
them.
Can you take that hat off?
That's why I call him Nigerian cowboy.
Oh my God, I stand out like a sore thumb
in the Nigerian culture.
I try to embody that southern lifestyle.
I love going to my h*nky Tonks.
I love line dancing.
And when I win this money, I am buying a
new pickup truck.
You got to bring home the money.
I have to bring home the money.
My strategy to win this game is going to
be to play a masterful social game,
to talk to all the women, to talk to all
the men, and win them over.
I'm fun.
I'm lovable.
I'm the Nigerian cowboy.
A cowboy!
My name's Yash, and I am from New Jersey.
I'm a financial analyst for a Fortune 500
company.
I don't necessarily love it, but I am
pretty good at it.
I'm 24 years old.
I live at home with my parents.
I love having you guys home.
I always wish you get out from the house.
My dad came to this country from India
when he was 28 years old.
He spoke no English.
He was mopping floors at a liquor store,
and he had no one here that he knew.
I am so grateful, because they taught me
and my brother what it means to really
live a life and create a life.
Don't get distracted by the women,
by the girls.
My goal in life is to find a wife.
I'm definitely looking.
I'm always open.
Bring out the showmans right now.
I'm ready for it.
The BB girls gonna love this.
I love chaos, so I'd be lying if I said
I'm not going to create a little bit.
If there's an opportunity to do a little
manipulating, it might happen.
Hello, everyone.
Welcome to Big Brother.
Now that you're all assembled,
the game can officially begin.
And it will do just that the second you
walk through the door.
But before you do, take a good look around
you.
Anything can happen with $750,000 on the
line.
That's right, baby.
So, who's ready to move in?
All right.
Rome.
Taylor.
Ashley.
Jason.
And Kamu.
Head on in.
Hi, I'm Jason.
Hey, I'm Rome.
Nice to meet you.
I'm in the Big Brother house.
It's a dream come true.
It's so beautiful.
It's like neon lights everywhere.
I've dreamt of being in this house for a
long time.
I can't wait to start scheming and play
Big Brother without a full beat.
I'm Rome.
What up, man?
Kamu.
Nice to meet you.
It is electric right away.
You look up.
You look around.
Everything is of grandeur.
Can I have hugs?
Hugs?
Hugs?
I'm seeing computers.
I'm seeing scooters.
I'm seeing T-Rex skulls.
Oh, it's historic.
There's a dinosaur.
I wanted to be a paleontologist so bad as
a kid.
I don't even know what that is.
What do you mean?
Wait.
No, no, no.
Hold on.
I'm a bunk bed guy.
Top bunk.
Okay, I think I like that.
I always tend to think that a mustache man
is pretty gorgeous.
And I'm like, oh, great.
Did they put a gorgeous mustache man in
here to distract me?
I mean, I can't get too caught up in guys
right now.
I'm here to play Big Brother.
Look at this phone.
It's so vintage.
I feel like there's clues and things.
I don't know.
Ancient Egypt.
West of Cape.
Medieval times.
Wild West.
And you have the future back there.
So, obviously, the theme has got to be
time.
I'm planning on telling
people that I was a
professional fighter, but
not that I fought in the UFC.
I don't want them to just think of me as a
fighter, but also a lover and a thinker.
Oh, I like this!
The classic chessboard.
Oh, I'll teach you.
Teach me, bro.
I did competitions when I was a kid.
Oh, you did?
Yeah.
Did you win?
No.
Not even close.
Latrice.
Mallory.
Yash.
Barrett.
And Lyric.
I wish you all well.
Go join the others.
What.
in the world?
Oh my God!
We like live here.
Oh, there's beds over here?
Oh my God!
Oh my God!
Big Brother ain't never seen a mama like
me.
Oh my gosh, I love the bunk beds!
Because I am definitely out here to make
things happen.
And I know they are going to underestimate
this older lady in the house.
Because I know I'm the matriarch.
Ashley's got like a certain aura and
confidence about her.
There's definitely an opposites attract
thing going on.
This is not at all what I expected it to
look like.
Oh, I have to.
What in the world?
Oh, that's so sick.
That's so sick.
This is so crazy!
I can't believe we're here.
Oh my gosh, yeah.
I love Lyric so much.
Pick a bed, girl.
Okay, help me, help me.
Yes, come here, come on.
Thank you.
I want to be her best friend, so bad.
But I'm trying to be nonchalant.
So, like, I'm letting her go and talk to
other people, obviously.
But, like, I already have this vision in
my head.
Like, we're thick as thieves.
We make it to the end together.
Wait, where are you sleeping?
I'm there.
I feel like there's empty there.
Are you against the top bunk?
No, yeah, I'll go up here.
Oh my gosh, you have two roomies!
That leaves Chuck, Haley, Drew,
and Melody.
Head on in.
Let's go!
There we go, come on.
Let's go!
Let's get in this house, come on.
Yeah!
Yeah, baby, let's go!
Oh my God, this is crazy.
Look at our kitchen.
Yo, what's up, dog?
I'm Drew.
Nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you.
Coming from, like,
all sisters, it's, like, a
little bit more natural
just being around you.
Oh, really?
Coming into this house, the showman is on
the table.
Every single lady in here, oh my gosh,
they are all beautiful, and they are all
from different states.
So they kind of bring a different, like,
twang to them that I need to explore.
Aw, that's really sweet.
I know, it's a little... Also, you
guys are bonding, and I'll bond too.
Hot or cold, hot or cold.
I think Drew just can't, like,
not talk.
It's a very, like, California boy thing.
We got some geniuses in here right now,
bro, look at that.
You guys can clap, you guys can clap.
But he definitely has that, like,
frat boy energy.
I love all of you.
I'm not going to the stairs.
I'm not going.
I'm not going.
Bromance already.
And it's going to annoy me really fast.
The sus thing right now, though, is,
like, there's only, like, what, 14 of us?
My guess is two more people are walking
in.
It doesn't take a superfan to know that we
normally start with 16 people.
Is someone coming in?
I'm calling it right now.
I've only been in this Big Brother house
for five minutes.
I'm telling you, dude, there's going to be
two more people.
I'm paranoia maxing right now,
this is crazy!
Oh my god!
Ah!
Ah!
House guests, if you're not already in the
living room, please take a seat.
I hear Julie calls and my heart drops to
my butt.
I have no idea what she's about to tell
us.
But I know that I'm also very nervy and
it's, like, genuine game time right now.
Hello, house guests.
Hello.
How's everyone doing so far?
Well, I hope you're all enjoying your new
surroundings.
Now, as you know, our motto is...
Expect the unexpected.
Correct.
Ding, ding, ding.
Expect the unexpected.
And you also know that in this game,
each week, one person will rise to power
and become the head of household.
That HOH is safe, but is
responsible for nominating
his or her fellow house
guests for eviction.
But tonight, for the first
time in Big Brother history,
nobody currently in the house
will become the first HOH.
Wow!
What?
Okay, okay.
I don't like it.
That's right, house guests.
None of you will be the first head of
household.
That's because not everyone competing this
summer has moved in.
No!
I knew it.
I knew it.
I knew it.
I'm nervous.
Who's coming in?
I'm scared.
Bro, you've been about all the crime.
I told you guys, more people are coming to
this house.
My mind is racing.
Well, I mean, it kind of always is racing,
but it's racing, like, even more now.
Like, what's happening?
Dang.
Like, who?
I'm sure you've all noticed that time is a
theme throughout the house.
Yes.
So why don't you all
head into the dining room,
take a seat at the table,
and all will be revealed.
That's actually bad news.
All right, house guests, listen up.
Yes.
You should know that the table you are
sitting at is no ordinary dining room table.
Here to give you all the details is the
president and CEO of Meow Meow Enterprises.
What up, house guests?
Enzo!
Let's go!
OMG, Enzo!
It's Enzo the Meow Meow.
Meow meow.
Coming to you live from Meow Meow
Enterprises.
I may not have been the
best at BB competitions, but
I happen to be an expert in
the space-time continuum.
Sure, my time laser had some issues.
You can roll the tape.
Ahhh!
It said Meow Meow Enterprises.
Use an error if you ask me.
But then something incredible happened.
I slipped in the lab and hit my head,
and when I woke up, I had a revelation.
An epiphany on what makes time travel
possible.
And you're sitting at it.
The dining table time machine.
Oh,
Julie, I got Zuck on the line.
Can you take over?
Thanks, Enzo.
Absolutely.
Alright, house guests.
Zuck on the line.
I can confirm that this summer,
you will all be going on a BB time trip.
Along the way, you'll experience
time-altering twists and
turns that will greatly affect
your future in this game.
Now, I revealed that none of you will
become the first head of household.
But that doesn't mean that some of you
can't earn your safety this week.
Soon, this time machine will
become fully operational, and
you will be sent to the past
in three groups of four people.
Each group will compete against one
another for safety.
The winner will also recruit and bring
back a reality icon.
No, I need oxygen!
That means three familiar
faces will be entering
the game and competing
with you for the grand prize.
Oh my gosh, no!
Let's go, baby!
That's what I'm talking about!
The moment I hear Miss Julie
say that it's going to be reality
icons, I honestly can't fathom
who exactly would it be.
I am on the edge of my seat!
Tonight, not everyone will have the
opportunity to compete for safety.
Once again, here's Enzo to
explain how to activate the
time machine and who's
going to be left out in the cold.
Oh my gosh!
Thanks, Julie.
There's one last thing.
This is b-butonium.
My time machine needs 12 units of it to
make time travel possible.
Scattered around the house are vials of
b-butonium with various numerical equations.
But there are only 12 correct ones that
will power the table.
The first 12 house guests to find and put
the correct b-butonium into the table's
power reactor below the memory wall will
bring the time machine to life.
So, which are the correct vials?
You'll have to find me at
Meow Meow headquarters
and the number you
need will present itself.
As a thank you, those 12 house guests will
be the ones who will travel through time
and compete for safety.
Unfortunately, that means two
of you will be out of luck and
won't have the opportunity
to secure your safety tonight.
Good luck!
Meow Meow out!
What does he look like?
Oh gosh!
For this competition, we have
to find the vials of b-butonium
that add up to the number
on Enzo's jacket and scan it in.
Oh, I see them!
I see a vial to my right.
The numbers add up to 28.
I see the number 28 on Enzo's jacket.
I race to the scanner.
Oh, it went.
I'm one of the 12 house guests going to
the safety competition.
Let's go!
Thank you!
What the heck is going on?
Thank you!
Oh, hello.
Oh, perfect!
Thank God the light turns green.
If it's green, you're good.
Oh, okay.
This means that I now advance and I get to
move on into the safety comps,
which are very, very
important because with more
house guests coming
into the house, safety is key.
Everyone else is running left and right of
me, scrambling around for these vials,
grabbing them.
I mean, I don't even know what the correct
answer is.
Get out of the way, Chuck!
So, I'm just absolutely living it up to
the BB Gods.
Yay!
Hoping and praying that that vial turns
green.
No!
Perfect.
It's red.
It's down to me, Ashley, and Barrett.
There's one vial left and I'm low-key
panicking.
I cannot be one of the
two people that don't even
get the chance to fight
for their own safety.
I run into that bathroom.
I'm tearing through the pillows.
I'm looking through everything.
And what do you know?
I see it there poking on the ground in the
corner.
Mine for the taking.
Yay!
Oh, is that it?
I think so.
Come on, baby!
Splash!
Guys, can I be honest?
I couldn't even find Enzo.
I'm not going to get to compete for
safety, which sucks.
But at least I'm not the only one that
lost this competition.
Knowing that I can't compete for my
safety, I'm like, great.
Some kind of twist is going to come about.
I'm going to go home tonight.
I'm going to go home tomorrow.
Like, whatever it may be.
Every worst case scenario is going through
my head.
Like, ugh!
When we return, 12 house guests travel
back in time, three icons join the game,
all leading up to the first HOH
competition of the summer.
Stay with us.
Whenever you said the episode didn't know
where Enzo was, I'm like, thank you.
He didn't know where Enzo was.
Did you guess 28?
Hello, house guests!
Yes, I did!
I need everyone to gather in the living
room right now.
Okay, it's time for 12 of you to go back
in time and recruit three reality icons.
Here's how it's going to work.
A date will appear on the time machine.
The first four house guests to sit down at
the table will travel back to that date.
Very good job, guys!
Did everyone feel that tension bubble
right here?
Everyone, head to the dining room.
Here is the first date four of you will be
traveling to.
July 9th, 1988.
All right, who are we thinking?
Oh, honey, let me do it.
I was around in 1988,
and these youngins in here,
I know they didn't have
nothing to do with 1988.
Maybe their mamas and their daddies did.
So, I'm taking a seat.
Everyone else, step away from the time
machine.
Okay, Mallory, Kamu, Rome,
and Latrice, you four are about
to head back to 1988 to bring
our first icon into the game.
Talk to you on the other side.
Thanks, Julie!
Okay, okay, now.
Who's that?
Who's that?
Hello?
Somebody, hi!
Hello, house guests!
Hey, guys!
Hey, Julie!
This is Julie from the future.
Oh.
You four have just landed in Long Beach,
California, the year 1988.
People look at me, and
they see me as the fit
dude, and that might
put a target on my back.
But if there's a chance for me to get
safety, I'm gonna take it.
Mall culture has totally taken over.
Although she's only 14 years old,
that spunky teen over there is the reality
icon you will be recruiting to play Big
Brother this summer.
Uh-oh.
Uh-huh.
Follow her lead, and whoever wins this
competition will deliver her a letter
instructing her to
arrive at the Big Brother
house 38 years in the
future on July 9th, 2026.
Wow.
Okay.
Wow.
Good luck, house guests.
Thank you, Julie!
Gag me with a spoon, I have this whole
display to set up.
Wait a second.
I'm an assistant manager now.
I don't have to do anything.
You posers can all do it for me.
When I say, get to work, you
each must attempt to balance
eight pieces of radical
merch on your display rack.
But be careful.
These display racks are, like,
totally unstable.
And each piece of merch weighs,
like, radically different.
Such a bummer.
But take a chill pill.
Anytime something falls off your rack,
just try again.
Keep going until all eight are balanced on
your rack.
Then you're done.
Psych!
Actually, when all eight are balanced,
hit your button.
Duh.
And if your items can stay balanced for ten
seconds, you'll win my little challenge.
Sounds bodacious, right?
Right.
Are you dweebs ready?
Yes!
Get to work!
The rules of the game are that once you
get your mall rack balanced, you have to
go and push a red button,
and then you have to
wait ten seconds without
anything falling off.
If anything falls off before the ten
seconds are up, you have to start all over.
I'm a very competitive person,
but I can't play for HOH this week.
If I win this competition, I'm safe for
the week, and I get no blood on my hands.
It's a win-win.
So, Julie tells us that there's going to
be three icons entering the house,
and you have no idea how
many these people are, so it's
really important that I
win my safety for this week.
Oh, this is.
some bull.
This is a major drag, you guys.
Ooh.
Torn sweatshirts off the shoulder,
neon socks, big hair.
You know what?
I had a home court advantage.
I need to get this together, so we're
going to pause.
Let's be kind, rewind, and give it another
go.
Keep moving, keep moving, keep moving!
Anybody an engineer in here?
I can't even get past, like, the second
thing.
You're doing amazing.
If this was an opposite day...
My rack looks phenomenal.
It's not moving at all.
And now I'm just waiting for the ten
seconds to finish.
I think I got this in the bag.
He got it!
It's done, it's done.
That's a gnarly wipeout.
There's nothing I can do, so I gotta
hustle back and focus on rebuilding.
It's not over yet, it's not over yet.
Everyone's doing the same thing.
Starting at the top with
the lighter items, and then
trying to move their way
down to the heavier items.
But the light items at the top keep falling
off, and I have to keep starting over.
I'm going to start with the
heaviest items at the top, and
then work my way down to the
bottom with the lighter options.
I can tell it's sturdier.
I'm on the right track.
Oh, you're just real strong.
You're dead strong, baby.
It's strong.
You got it strong, baby.
You got it strong, baby.
You got it.
That's what I'm talking about,
baby!
Come on now!
Come on, baby.
First person's safe.
That's how we roam.
This is for you.
Took you long enough.
I understand.
You're the winner.
Thank you, thank you.
Yay.
Thank you.
I said get to the food court.
I don't have time to read this.
Total barf bag.
That's all I get?
Thank you.
I don't know a damn thing.
I was born ten years later.
Yes!
Oh, oh, oh.
We're back.
We're back from the 80s.
But I'm a dog!
I'm a dog.
I am a champion of the 80s.
It was a mall?
It was like an 80s themed mall.
There was like some 14 year old girl
working.
She was snotty.
She had an attitude.
She said, took you long enough.
I can't wait to see who y'all bring in the
house.
I know.
From the 80s.
It's someone who was 14 in 1988.
Wait, what's the math?
Something, yeah.
I'm scared.
I'm scared, I'm scared, I'm scared.
The doorbell rings and at this point I'm
filled with anticipation.
I'm wondering who in the world is going to
walk through that door.
Oh, wait, wait.
Oh!
Okay, big brother.
Who's it going to be?
Season 26.
Crazy eyes.
You have freaking crazy eyes.
I lasted 73 days in this house.
With that experience and with that
knowledge of kind of how I could go a
little cuckoo, I can maybe redirect a
little.
I just, I want the win so, so desperately.
Oh my God.
Hi Angela.
It's so good to see you.
If there had to be anybody
coming into this game, I
wanted to play with her
almost at the top of the list.
I can't believe it.
Oh my God, you're beautiful.
Oh my God.
Angela is literally expect the unexpected.
I watched her season.
She's just so unpredictable.
Angela, there's only room for one over 50
woman up in this house and it is me,
not you.
So don't let the time machine hit you
where the good Lord split you.
Hello, house guests.
Hey!
And welcome back, Angela.
All right, listen up everyone.
The next date is about to be revealed.
Uh oh.
July 7th, 2018.
Oh, good year.
All right, house guests.
It's now time to decide who will be going
on the next Phoebe time trip.
I'll go.
All right, we need one more for 2018.
I'll go again.
All right, we got Drew.
That was a lot.
Okay, it's a newer generation,
so that was great.
At least it's not 1988.
Everyone else, step away from the time
machine.
Hello, house guests.
Hey!
Welcome to the year 2018.
Okay.
Each of you has brought
a letter from the future,
but only one of you
will be able to deliver it.
On my go, you will attempt to cross the
river as fast as you can.
Using only two planks of different
lengths, you must strategically place them
one at a time and figure out the pathway
to the other side.
The first person to traverse the river and
hit their button wins this competition and
must head into the jungle to secretly
deliver their letter.
Does everyone understand?
Yeah!
Okay, then on your Mark, get set,
go!
We already had Angela come to the house.
I have no idea who's coming in next.
I need to guarantee my safety this week,
so I need to win this competition.
I think winning this competition is
majorly crucial.
I mean, you get safety for the week.
On the first week, that's huge.
Oh, I can't go that way.
Going down this river is not easy.
I'm just trying to make
sure I put the correct
plank in front of me and
making sure they connect.
But it's really hard to balance.
Oh, almost fell.
These are super small planks.
There's no way to go.
This competition is so hard.
I'm trying to put a plank to my left and
then a plank to my right.
At this point, I'm just stranded and I
don't know what else to do.
There's no way to cross that.
At this point, it's neck and neck with me
and Chuck.
I'm winning this.
I'm lost, man.
I keep ending back in this corner over and
over again.
At this point, I might end
up in a relationship with
this thing because I just keep
coming back like a bad ex.
Congratulations, Chuck.
You have won this competition and safety.
I won the competition.
I knew I was going to crush it.
The Nigerian cowboy is safe another week.
Let's go.
Now, Chuck, head into the jungle and
secretly deliver that letter.
Then get back to the time machine and
return to the house.
Bye, Chuck.
Bye, y'all.
Bye, family.
Let's do it.
Anybody?
Top secret.
He will be perfect for Big Brother.
Let's see what happens.
We're here, bro.
What happened?
What happened?
I took it, baby!
I'm sweaty now.
I'm sweaty, dude.
There's probably going to be someone
coming in.
Oh, my gosh.
I'm so super excited to see who's coming
in after me.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Who is this?
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
What the heck?
Devins walks in.
Mr. Coinflip from Survivor has just
entered the building.
What?
This is a dream come true and also kind of
a nightmare.
I'm Devins.
I was on season 38
of Survivor the Edge of
Extinction and on season
Welcome to Survivor 50.
So, Devins, did you win?
No.
No, I'm a two-time Survivor loser.
I roughed it on the islands of Fiji,
sleeping in the dirt, pooping in the ocean.
So, I think the air-conditioned
house here in Big
Brother is going to be
kind of a breeze to survive.
Thank you for the letter, though.
Survivor fans.
I think you're awesome.
Devins is here from Survivor?
Like, oh, I didn't expect it at all.
I'm so excited that he's here and I am so
ready to play with him.
He's smart.
He's strategic.
This guy finds idols like no one else
does.
I just wanted one person to know who I am,
so this is awesome.
I can't trust him.
Okay.
Noted.
Hello, house guests.
Hi, Devins.
Hi, Julie.
All right.
There are only four of you left to
compete.
Please take a seat at the table and
prepare for your journey.
This is the final four.
One more person to come in.
Here's the date you'll be traveling to.
Okay.
June 27, 2010.
I walk into the club,
it is clearly 2010, and
maybe I can even remind
myself to buy some Bitcoin.
Hello, house guests.
You have arrived in Las Vegas, the
home of the final player entering the game.
The year?
The club is popping and people are getting
slushed.
Your job is to eavesdrop on their
conversations and count the number of
times they say Bahama Mama, Fuzzy Naval,
or Purple Hooter.
In each round of eavesdropping,
you'll be asked to determine what word was
said either the most, the second most,
or the least.
At the end of each round of eavesdropping,
you must lock in your answer.
If everyone answers correctly, the
last person to buzz in will be eliminated.
The last player standing will win this
competition and their safety for the week.
They also must leave a
letter in the VIP section so the
VIP c*ck waitress
working that section will find it.
Does everyone understand?
Yes.
Excellent.
Then please put on your goggles.
We've had two reality TV icons walk
through that door.
I need to make sure I'm safe because I
cannot go home week one.
Let's begin.
In this first conversation,
you're trying to determine
which drink name is said
the least number of times.
Here's the first conversation.
We have arrived in Vegas and are on fleek.
We'll take one Fuzzy Naval, one Purple
Hooter, and one Bahama Mama, please.
Bahama Mamas get me totes turnt.
Can you actually mix my Purple Hooter with
a Fuzzy Naval?
Fuzzy Naval?
Fuzzy Naval is so extra.
I am a Bahama Mama Mama all night.
Ooh, that sounds good.
I'll have a Bahama Mama too.
Purple Hooter and Bahama Mama are both
awesome sauce.
The correct answer is Purple Hooter.
Let's see who was eliminated.
Holy cow!
Oh my god.
I just met Melody, but is she dead?
Are you drowning?
Can someone check on that girl?
Sorry, Melody.
You were last to ring in with the correct
answer, so you've been eliminated.
In the next conversation, you're trying to
determine which drink name is said the
second most number of times.
Here's the next conversation.
Can I get a Purple Hooter?
They are the b*mb.com.
Can I have a Fuzzy Naval to drown my
sorrows?
Girl, didn't you already have a Fuzzy
Naval and a Bahama Mama?
I didn't have just a Fuzzy Naval and a
Bahama Mama.
I had two Fuzzy Navals and two Bahama
Mamas.
I need another Fuzzy Naval.
The correct answer is Bahama Mama.
Let's see who was eliminated.
All right, I know I got this one.
I pressed Bahama Mama.
Well, I didn't get it, clearly.
Sorry, Yash.
You were the last to ring in with the
correct answer, and you've been eliminated.
It's between Lyric and Jason.
Let's go, Jason!
Love you, boo!
It's down to me and Jason.
Lyric, focus.
You've got this.
Make your family proud.
Make Hawaii proud.
And finish strong.
In the last conversation,
you're trying to determine
which drink name is said
the most number of times.
Here is the last conversation.
Your dress matches your Bahama Mama.
That dress kinda matches your purple
hooter, too.
There's a DJ spinning throwback tunes at
the club tonight.
Sounds more lit than a slippery nipple.
I hate slippery n*pples.
Have a Bahama Mama instead.
No, have a fuzzy navel.
I heard that's the DJ's favorite drink.
Just get a Bahama Mama.
Bahama Mamas are so played out.
You're just jelly because your fuzzy navel
is basic.
Unlike my Bahama Mama.
The correct answer is Bahama Mama.
Let's see who was eliminated.
Sorry, Lyric.
You rung in last with the correct answer.
And obviously, you've been eliminated.
So that means congratulations,
Jason.
You have won this competition and safety
for the whole group.
Now go ahead, Jason, and deliver that
letter.
You got it, Julia.
I won!
I won a challenge.
I won my first challenge on Big Brother.
We're already doing better than Drag Race,
baby.
I'm safe for week one, which a day after
today, baby.
Delicious.
Oh my gosh.
Guys, I was literally a
split second away from
winning and guaranteeing
my safety for the week.
All right, they better leave a good tip
because it's 2010.
It was cheaper back then.
All right, y'all ready?
Let's go.
Bye!
We back.
Oh my gosh, you guys, what the heck?
Oh my gosh, what happened?
This party was rocking.
Who won?
Jason.
I'm scared.
Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.
Jason, open it.
What's going to happen?
Hello.
Oh my gosh!
Oh my gosh!
Newbies, make some noise.
Yes, bow down.
Bow down, newbies.
Get excited, America, because that's
right.
I'm back, b*tches.
You know me from Big Brother 12.
Flories, you better grab a life vest.
The winner of Big Brother 13 last summer
on Big Brother 27, well, now I'm back with
a vengeance, ready to get that double
crown.
Rachel is back.
I did not expect Rachel, honestly.
Like, my mouth, you could pick it up off
the floor.
I don't want to get paranoid, but she can
build an army against me if she wanted to.
I am so excited!
We're in Big Brother!
Totally joking.
Totally joking.
House guests, I need everyone to please
gather in the living room right now.
Julie Chen!
This is so crazy!
Words I never thought I'd say so soon.
Welcome back, Rachel.
All right, house guests, I know you're all
getting to know each other, but we still
have some business to attend to this
evening.
opportunity to travel back
in time to secure your
safety for the week.
And Rome, Chuck, and Jason, you three were
successful.
Congratulations again.
But we still need to crown the first head
of household of the summer.
Angela, Devin, and Rachel, since you three
did not have the opportunity to earn
safety, you three will now compete against
each other to become the first HOH.
Welcome to Big Brother, Devin!
Now, I have an important announcement.
The BB Blockbuster is back.
That's a good thing.
That's a good thing, guys.
Okay, everyone, head over to the dining
table time machine.
You're all about to go back in time.
Okay, house guests, let's see what date
you'll all be traveling to.
Someone let me know.
As you can all see, it's the Jurassic
Period.
Very, very beautiful, but extremely
dangerous.
I suggest you dress for the period to try
to blend in.
Oh my gosh!
This is crazy!
Oh my gosh!
This is insane!
I feel like we're in, like, a movie right
now.
This is crazy.
You have arrived in the Jurassic Period,
Angela, how are you feeling?
Nervous, but excited.
I need redemption this season.
Looking back at what happened last time,
I have a whole different plan,
and I just really need to start off on the
right foot.
Devins, how about you?
Just happy to be here, Julie.
I know that all three of us want this HOH
because we already have big targets on our
back, so we may as well just start winning
now and keep on winning.
And Rachel, how does it feel playing big
brother in back-to-back summers?
Oh gosh, you know, Julie, it feels
amazing.
I'm surrounded by these icons and these
newbies.
But I do have to say that I wish them all
luck because they're going to need it.
And if you take a shot at the queen, you
better not miss because the queen is back!
I might have left last summer during the
weight locust, but nothing is coming in
between me and my big brother double
crowned this season.
It's the 18th houseguest.
What are you doing?
This is crazy!
What is that?
He's not missing the queen!
Go away!
What are you doing?
No, what is it?
Why are you so stuck with me?
What is going on?
Seriously, stop!
Guys!
Wait, I thought the dinosaurs went to the
back!
What is going on?
Rachel!
Stop!
Stop!
Stop!
But I'm not done!
No!
Oh my gosh!
Oh my gosh!
Welcome.
back to the most unexpected season
premiere in the history of Big Brother.
Just moments ago, a velociraptor threw
Rachel into a volcano.
So, what does it mean for the others?
Let's rejoin them in the past and fill
them in.
Hello again, houseguests.
Come on, Julie, what's going on?
Well, houseguests, I
warned you it was dangerous
in the Jurassic period
and it's proven true.
I can confirm that
Rachel has fallen into
the volcano and reached
her untimely demise.
What?
So, obviously, she is out of the game.
Honestly?
First, the white locust, and now this.
She just can't catch a break, houseguests.
But the game must go on.
And I have an idea.
I will find someone to take her place.
Two seasons of Survivor, I
thought I've experienced it
all, but already I've been
transported back in time.
Rachel Riley meets her
untimely demise, and now Julie
says she's going to find
someone to take her place.
I just have no idea what's going on.
They were not kidding when they said,
expect the unexpected.
Yes!
