[chuckling]

[Fred] 'Well, we're over the Brazilian jungles, g*ng.'

'We'll be landing in Rio De Janeiro'

'in a couple of hours.'

I can't wait to see the carnival in Rio.

Like, Scooby's already into his costume.

[Velma laughs] 'At this rate, Scooby won't have any costume left.'

[Daphne] 'That's artificial fruit, Scooby.'

- 'You're eating wax.' - Wax?

It's delicious.

Feels like we've run into some rough air.

I better check on the passengers.

Can you hold down the dancing, senorita?

Senorita? Oh.

[chuckles]

[male #1] 'Luis, the gas tanks.'

We'll have to make an emergency landing, captain.

Yes, but where? I-it's all jungle down there.

[Luis] 'Look, there's a clearing!'

[male #1] 'We'll try it. Warn the passengers.'

Everyone, take your seats!

We have to make an emergency landing.

[shudders] An emergency landing?

Oh, h*-h*-h*-h*!

[gulp]

Quick, everyone, grab a pillow

and hold it in front of your face.

[Shaggy] Like, don't take all the pillows.

Hello, flight 81 bound for Rio

'making emergency landing in jungle.'

[Fred] 'Hey, we're in luck.'

'The pilot's found a clearing to land in.'

[Velma] 'Wow, we made it!'

[drumbeats]

Jeepers, this place sure is creepy.

[Shaggy] 'And, like, listen to those drums.'

- This is Jaguaro country. - Jaguaro?

It's a legendary beast with the body of a great ape

and the head of a saber-toothed tiger.

Oh! Huh?

The natives all worship the Jaguaro.

Like, I sure hope they aren't c-c-cannibals.

[Luis] 'Oh, no. They aren't cannibals.'

'They are head hunters.'

Well, if they're just head hunters..

- Head hunters? - 'Head hunters?'

Like, they're gonna have a hard time finding mine.

Knock it off, you two.

'We've gotta figure out what to do.'

We're hoping the trouble's only a clogged fuel line.

While they're working on the engine

we'd better search along the river

'for a boat to get us out of here.'

'Just in case, you, Shag and Scooby'

'can check out this native village.'

Unh-unh.

Like, we're not goin' callin'

on any head hunters, Fred.

Alright, you chickens.

You check the river and we'll go to the village.

Like, I got a great idea, Scoob.

You go first and I'll be right behind ya.

- Unh-unh, you first. - Okay, I'll tell you what.

We'll flip a coin to see who goes first, okay?

You call it.

- What is it? - Tails.

[Shaggy laughs] 'Heads. You lose.'

[whimpers]

Don't worry, Scoob, I'll be right behind ya.

Hut, two, three, four. Hut, two, three, four.

'Hut, two, three, four.'

Shaggy? Shaggy!

Cool it, Scoob. I was still behind you, wasn't I?

[sniffing]

Huh?

[growling]

Yikes!

Zoinks! The J-J-Jaguaro!

[squawks]

[gibberish]

[teeth chattering]

[growling]

- Yikes! - Yikes!

[laughing]

Yikes! It's only a parrot.

Yeah. Phew!

S-S-Shaggy, look!

Zoinks! It's the J-J-Jaguaro!

[laughing]

[Jaguaro growling]

[squawking]

[growling]

We're goners! We'll never get across the river!

screech

Oh, boy. Nice goin', Scoob.

[Scooby] 'Shaggy, look!'

[growling]

Like, paddle faster, Scoob!

[growling]

Phew!

[water gurgling]

Hey, what's that gurgling?

- Zoinks! We're gonna sink! - I'll fix it.

Good work, Scoob.

[chuckles]

- What's that? - Piranha fish!

They're eating our boat!

splash

[growling]

Like, we're sinkin', Scoob. Jump for your life!

Phew!

- Yikes! - Yikes!

- A s-s-snake! - Oh!

thud

Oh, boy. Nice save, Scoob.

What's your next move?

[whimpers]

Sorry, I asked.

[Scooby] Yikes!

thud

[drumbeats]

[Velma] I don't see any village.

Keep down. I see something over there.

[Daphne] Natives. Sure look angry to me.

We better wait until they're out of sight.

Jeepers! What's that?

[Velma] 'It's an old motor launch.'

Ahoy, there!

Hello, mate. What're you doin' in this bloomin' jungle?

Our plane just made an emergency landing.

- Who are you? - Ah, Barney's the name.

I'm makin' a film on the Jaguaro worshippers

over there on their sacred island.

'They're workin' themselves up to go after somebody'

and it's probably you.

Jeepers! Why us?

Well, they say a great bird dropped from the sky

'and angered their Jaguaro.'

They must mean our plane.

[Barney] 'And their Jaguaro idol came to life.'

Came to life?

If I was in your shoes, I'd head back to the plane

before the Jaguaro and those natives come after you.

If our plane can't be fixed, could you get us out of here?

Wish I could help ya.

But this old tub will never

manage those rapids down river.

I'll try to radio for help.

vroom

We'd better find Shaggy and Scooby. Come on!

Shaggy, what's that?

Zoinks! The Jaguaro! Let's hide!

Shaggy, Scooby.

Look.

Shh! Quiet.

Like, the Jaguaro is after us.

- You saw the Jaguaro? - Uh-huh.

[growling]

There's something strange going on here.

We'd better get back to the plane and fast.

[gasps] Jeepers! What happened?

[Fred] 'The plane's been attacked by a giant animal.'

'Look at those claw marks.'

[gulps] The J-J-Jaguaro!

[Daphne] And the pilots, they've disappeared.

[Scooby whimpers]

[Shaggy sobs] Oh, no!

Our plane's damaged! The pilots are missing!

The Jaguaro's running lose! Head hunters are after us!

[sobs] We're doomed!

Jinkies! Look at this.

'The Jaguaro must've attacked the pilots.'

And look at those tracks.

The Jaguaro must have dragged something

or somebody off into the jungle.

If the Jaguaro did grab one of the pilots

it's up to us to save him. Come on!

- Hurry up, you two. - Like, Fred.

Don't you think we ought to stay with the plane to guard it?

- Yeah, guard it. - Maybe they're right, Fred.

One of the pilots might come back while we're gone.

Okay, but keep your eyes open.

Like, how about finding us some food, huh, Scoob?

Food? Okay.

[sniffing]

[chimp chattering]

Yuck!

[crying]

Hm.

[chattering]

[hooting]

[Scooby] Uh-oh.

[chattering]

Yuck.

[blows a raspberry]

Yikes!

[whimpering]

[chattering]

Shaggy, help!

'Help!'

Scooby-Doo!

Where are you?

Help!

Help!

[screeching]

Scooby.

[Scooby screams]

[men clamoring]

Yeow!

[laughs]

thud

[speaking in foreign language]

- Yikes! - Yikes!

Look, a native hut.

I wonder why it's built out over the water like that.

I'll take a look.

- It's not a hut at all. - What is it?

There's an old-fashioned sluice inside.

The kind gold miners used in the old days.

Gold miners?

But there's no gold in this area.

Everyone knows that.

Maybe so, Velma, but here's a gold miner's pan.

Somebody's been mining something.

- Listen. - 'It's Barney's boat.'

[Velma] 'And it's really moving.'

- Barney, over here! - Hey!

- Barney, over here! - Come here!

[Daphne] 'I think he sees us, Fred.'

Say, isn't that Luis with him?

Quick, climb aboard. The natives are on the rampage.

Luis, where is Jose?

We had just fixed the plane and these this terrible beast

the Jaguaro came after us.

I managed to escape, but Jose was not so fortunate.

[gasps] Jeepers!

I'll take you back up river to your plane.

With the natives riled up like they are

you'd better take off fast.

But what about Jose?

I'll radio the authorities for help, mate.

But that's all we can do.

Like, I never did like those guided tours you know, Scoob?

Me neither.

- Help! Help! - Help! Help!

Daphne, look at this.

[Daphne] 'It's just a piece of scratched glass.'

Exactly, but what's it for?

And why would anyone wrap up an ordinary hunk of glass

so carefully?

I'll head into shore now.

Your plane is just beyond the trees.

Thank you, senor.

Uh, could you do me a favor

since you're flying to Rio?

Anything, senor.

Could you take this film to my laboratory there?

But of course.

Let's hurry, I'm getting worried about Shaggy and Scooby

being left all alone.

- Shaggy? - Scooby?

[Velma] They're nowhere in sight.

Look, a native fetish.

- What does it mean? - It's a warning.

The natives must have gotten poor Shaggy and Scooby.

- Oh, no. - We must take off right away.

Not a chance. We're not going until we find Shaggy and Scooby.

I'll bet the natives took them to their sacred island.

Good thinking, Velma. Let's go.

Wait, it is too dangerous! Come back!

'I can only wait an hour.'

If you're not back, I must take off without you.

[chanting in foreign language]

Like, I wonder what they're gonna do with us, Scoob.

[gulps] I don't know.

Whatever it is, I got a feeling

we're not gonna like it too much.

Careful, they mustn't see us coming.

- Look, a cave entrance. - We'd better check it out.

[Daphne] Hey, there's a light up ahead.

[Velma] 'And, look, do you see what I see?'

The Jaguaro.

- 'Oh, it's only a statue.' - Come on!

[Velma] But that's exactly what we expected to find right, Fred?

Right, the clues to this mystery are finally beginning to add up.

[Jaguaro growls]

[Daphne] Jeepers! What was that?

It came from somewhere up ahead. Come on, but be careful.

[drumbeats]

Like, you better do somethin' fast, Scoob

'or we're goners.'

You did it, Scoob.

[laughs]

Like, I wonder what that witch doctor's cooking up out there.

[gulps] C-c-cooking up?

Sorry, Scoob, I didn't mean cooking.

I meant like, like, what's going on?

Oh. Phew.

[drumbeats]

[Shaggy] Zoinks!

[Scooby whimpers]

[Shaggy] We gotta get out of here!

[speaking in foreign language]

[clamoring]

Zoinks! Like, we gotta head for the bridge!

[clamoring]

[dramatic music]

[Shaggy] Like, faster, Scoob!

Jinkies! The natives are after Shaggy and Scooby.

- But what can we do? - I don't know yet.

But let's go.

[clamoring]

[speaks in foreign language]

- Whoa! - Whoa!

The Jaguaro!

[growling]

Jeepers, Shaggy and Scooby are trapped

between the natives and the Jaguaro.

[grunting]

- Yeow! - Yeow!

- Yikes! - Yikes!

[growling]

thud thud thud

Zoinks! The natives are wrecking the bridge!

Phew!

Zoinks! Like, he's coming after us, Scoob.

We've got to do something, Fred

or the Jaguaro will get them for sure.

I've got an idea. Lets' head upstream to the dam.

[growling]

[Shaggy] Hang on, Scoob.

Hurry, we've got to open the dam before it's too late.

[growling]

- Yeow! - Yeow!

This better work or Shaggy and Scooby are done for.

[growling]

- Phew. - Huh?

[Daphne] Hey, we did it! They're saved!

Oh, no! Look!

[both screaming]

[dramatic music]

[Fred] Hurry! They're headed for the waterfall!

[both screaming]

[Fred] There they are!

[crash]

[Velma] 'And the Jaguaro is trapped!'

Now let's see who the Jaguaro really is.

'Like, what do you know? It's Barney!'

- What have you done to Jose? - He's alright.

You'll find him tied up below decks on my boat.

Returning that statue to the natives

was a brilliant idea, Fred.

I'll say, like, I'm too young to lose my head.

I still don't understand how you figured

my co-pilot, Luis, was working with Barney.

[Velma] 'Luis and Barney were partners in a diamond mining scheme.'

Luis faked that emergency landing

so he could pick up a new shipment of diamonds

without anyone realizing what they were doing.

Oh!

But, like, what about the creepy Jaguaro?

Barney knew about the Jaguaro legend

so he used it to frighten off the natives.

But we got suspicious when we found the mining equipment

and realized that only a diamond could make those deep scratches

in the glass we found on Barney's boat.

And Barney grabbed me

because I spotted him panning diamonds at the river.

[Fred] 'And then he tried to make us think the Jaguaro grabbed you'

'by faking that attack on the plane.'

Ridiculous story, and you have no proof.

Oh, yes, we do.

See? A fortune in uncut diamonds.

[whistles]

Like, wowie!

You'll never stop us now!

[Fred] They're not going anywhere.

I took the precaution of removing the spark plugs.

Good thinking, Fred old pal, old buddy, old buddy, old pal.

[laughs]

[instrumental music]

Well, g*ng, we finally made it to the carnival of Rio.

[laughs] Yeah.

Scooby-Dooby-Doo!
